Went in on a Sunday afternoon and I was very skeptical when the pedicurist opened the pouch of individual files and discarded one. The pouch is meant to be used for each customer as to not give me someone else's cooties. Things got no better. The whole experience was not great. It felt rushed and was overall poor in quality. You show the a picture and they give you their interpretation, which is NOT what you showed them in the picture. 3. They run out of product and don't communicate that to you until your in too deep. If you don't have the color say that, if you don't have chrome say that, no nail jewelry say it, no foil please say it up front so I can make my decision. 4. The is a younger African girl that does nails she is RUDE and very CONDESCENDING! RUN if you see her coming. Jason is the only one I've interacted with that I would return to. 5. Prices are high, since when is a basic pedicure $40?!?!? 6. They do not clean the bowls after each pedicure. They do use liners, but water seeps through to the bowl and I have never seen anyone whip out cleaning products. 7. They do have a variety of colors, they offer gel and dipping powder, lots of parking, will stay open later if you come right before closing, and usually no wait even busy. I haven't been back in over a year since I moved out of state but I was amazed to still see my old nail techs! I always let Jenny do my pedicures and Jason work his magic with my fill-ins (I refuse to let anyone else touch me, although they're all nice). I was also amazed at the newly expanded color selection! And although I've been gone for a a year and a half, the prices remained the same! I was so shocked! They don't charge for extra nail colors & to change the shape of your nails is only $5 total (and not per finger... like other salons I've tried). I went to this nail spa to have my for eyebrow done. This procedure usually takes no more than 10-15 minutes. To my disappointment 30 minutes after the employee started she was still struggling to sculpt my eyebrow as if she did not know what she was doing. Another employee came to help her. They both struggled to work on my eyebrow, because the second employee was nervously trying to undo the mess she had done to my brows. Needless to say, I ended up with uneven eyebrows one side higher than the other. I was horrified. How can licensed personnel behave like that or are they licensed? It' been 2 days but still the area around both eyebrows are very itchy and irritated. I saw this place on Tik Tok and I wanted to try it out. While the setting itself was nice and peaceful, the service was not. I got French tip on my toes and the service provider was extremely rude to me. I did not like the way the french was done and I related that. He raised his voice at me numerous times during my service and I had to remain calm to not escalate the situation. Altogether, this was my experience with the young male and therefore, I would NEVER recommend him. The other service providers, I can't say anything about them but I'm not coming back here. If I could not give any stars at al, I would. This place is horrible. When I arrived, a young black African girl hollered from across the room and asked me what I wanted as if I was entering some place I was not suppose to be. I stated that I wanted to review the list of services first. I signed in and reviewed the list of services, I guess I was not moving quick enough because she hollered again the same question. I asked for a Gel Manicure and a Organic Pedi. She pointed to a seat up front and told me to "sit there". I only saw two nails techs, her and another African girl that was servicing another client at the pedicure chair. So, I asked how long it would be and she responded "NOW", she finally got up out of her seat and walked to the front desk grabbed the nail color swatches and threw them down in front of me. She hollered for what I later found out was the owner (a Chinese male). She tells him, I think she's in a hurry. I told her I only asked how long it was going to be before I was serviced because of the lack of nail techs that I saw. She sucked her teeth and went back to servicing her client. The owner asked again what I wanted, I told him, he grabbed dirty, fingernail file from the station beside him that looked as though it had serviced several customers. I asked him if they always used the same fingernail file on each customer and responded by saying yes but asked if I wanted a new one. I replied yes, please. He filed the gel down on my nails and jumped up and rummaged through some cardboard boxes up front where he retrieved new fingernails clippers and other nails supplies still in the packaging. he took a cotton ball and cleaned them off with what looked like alcohol. I'm used to seeing nail clippers and such in plastic packages where they are pulled from UV lit machines. Half way through my service, a customer enters the nail shop and ask him if he could come outside to speak to one of his clients, she had a question. You would think that he would tell me, excuse him or he would be right back. Nope, instead he went outside and a male nail tech that had just got there came over to his station and started painting the French on my nails. He didn't introduce himself, say I will be continuing your service or anything of the sorts. When I asked or a thinner French line on m nails, he acted as though I was asking for blood from him personally. All of the gel manicures that I have had at other nail salons have included a lotion hand massage at the end of the service. All I got as some oil on the back of each finger and a hand pat. By the time I go home, give or take a couple of hours, the middle finger on my left hand broke and French chipped. The French on my index finger was chipping as well because only one coat was put on it. I could have done this at home. The shop itself is not appealing at all. Old food was laying on the counter next to the stylist station where the stylist that came in was taking her braids out and throwing the hair on the floor. The nail techs don't wear gloves or practice any sanitary measures that I witnessed. I'm not sure how they are able to pass the sanitation board. Good luck to whomever decides to visit this nail shop. I'm still surprised by the 4/5 star reviews. I will not be returning and will tell anyone that I know and care about their nail health not to go to this shop. read more

I normally do not come to a nail salon 30 minutes before closing but time got away from me. I only needed a fill. I tried to tell her how I liked my nails shaped and showed a picture. I had to tell her the edges were to sharp and please round the corners several times only for her to file the side again and make them sharp again. On several nails the tops were crooked and when I told her she couldn't see it but finally took care of the right crooked hand. Now the right had was shorter than the left. I told her she could make the left hand shorter to match the left but it fell on deaf ears. The technician who did my nails was rude. I am a polite, calm direct person but after her yelling several times, I had to tell her to stop yelling at me three times. And on top of that she smacked my hand like I was a child because I was trying to show her how I wanted my nails to which I said do not smack my hands. I was so threw with this "technician" who was mumbling words ( I am sure cursing me in a different language). And, when I said what did you say, she looked at me and say I make pretty for you or nice color nice color because she kept saying things that were shady. She did not make pleasant conversation with me because she had to keep fixing another woman's polish and at closing her ride was waiting for her so she was rushing my nails, that is until her ride left. I wanted chrome but realized that would not be wise and she said thank you for not wanting chrome. I just wanted to leave. I was so pissed after and for 2 hours after that. Now, I believe this is nice salon, I just came to close to closing and was treated poorly by someone ready to go home at 8:00 pm. If a service business closes at 8 pm maybe they should take the last customer at 7 pm and give good service. I am a good tipper but I have never been so disrespected. read more

I overheard him saying some things that grossed me out. Unfortunately she wasn't there for my appointment. So Karen was available. Big mistake!! She did a rush job and they were sloppy. Someone else had to fix them. This changed my perception of the salon and the fact that Danielle didn't show for my appointment. Months later I decide to give them another try. It's like the nail gods answered my prayers. I'm sorry to have to update negatively, but after my last visit for lashes I said I could not continue to sing their praises. I went in on a Wednesday in hopes that the lashes would last until the following Monday (my birthday). In the past when I've come here, the lashes lasted at least one week or a little over. Could not believe that those things were following out the same night! So I went back the very next day and the lady was very kind and told me she would fix them for me. Mind you I live in DC , this is not just around the corner for me. I must say everytime I looked in the mirror I felt that this time I was getting that very false, ghetto lash look that I hate! By Saturday half the lashes had fallen off or were dangling at some point and had to be pulled off. Jason and his son (also named Jason) do an immaculate job, taking their time and really appreciating the art of doing nails. Jenny will suggest wonderful colors for you and have a great conversation with you as well, really taking her time on your mani. Some other technicians however don't really speak english that well and don't do as fine of a job. However I still rate this place high because my mani and pedis always last for SO LONG! The last reason why they get a 4 star is because they can be pretty pricey but the service does match the price closely. The place is always clean and smells wonderful. I am very disappointed. I went to Paradise Nails and Spa for an SNS system manicure prior to heading out on my vacation. The cost for this service at Paradise is $40. a good SNS manicure will last a minimum of 3 weeks. Well the first hint that this might be a bad idea is that the nail technician was not going to soak my nails and trim the cuticle. She got mad that I requested my cuticles trimmed and refused to do my nails. her replacement was much nicer. But after one week all my nails chipped majorly. As a result, I have to pay another $40/45 for a correct SNS manicure. don't waste your money. read more

The nail tech (young African woman) looked like I was interrupting her day when I came in asking only for a basic pedicure. She rushed through my nails and did not clean excess paint off of my toes because she couldn't stay in between the lines! (see photos). The first few times I tried a few techs until I found one that know exactly what I want. MiMi is excellent whether it's a mani/pedi or artificial nails. I wore acrylics for a while until she introduced me to gel nails a few years ago and I fell in love with them. I always received great comments on how great my nails looked. I took a hiatus from those and continued with the mani/pedis and still received excellent comments. The spa is alway clean and tidy and I am always met with a smile by the owner and offered a beverage. I really enjoy this salon. This is not a high end spa experience but they offer every delux option from scrubs to hot stone services to waxing and hair braiding. The techs are skilled and creative. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait and as soon as you walk in I was pushed around by one of the techs. She literally grabbed me by my hand as soon as I sat down. Idk why i didn't just leave. I paid $30 for a gel manicure it is a week later and it's chipping everywhere. The salon did look clean and they were using the bags inside the "foot tubs" for pedicures. Looks like the others who were waiting around were for specific techs but it's for full set. As far as coming here again for a gel mani I think I will pay $30 elsewhere.
