This place is absolutely awful. If you are reading this and you are thinking about going here turn back now. The owner Helen is a really nice person and seems to do a good job. My friend was happy with her nails. I was not as fortunate. The woman would did my nails was rude and in a hurry and did a terrible job. My nails were jagged and rough. She cut me bad and I walked out. If you've ever seen the move "The Beach" with Leonardo Di Caprio, you'll remember the scene in the beginning where he's in Thailand at that really horrible hotel. The woman is cleaning the walks and floor with a dirty mop and sparks are flying from the exposed electrical wiring, well that's what the inside of Paradise Nails looks like. My nails! I asked for them to be shortened! I ended up with almost no nails left! When I went in I waited an hour for someone to help me. Typical on a Friday night right? So I tell her I'd like a polish change on my toe nails she tells me okay. It's almost 7pm & she asks me to come back tomorrow to get my toes done! I was heated because I was there for almost 2 hours & now there sending me home. I guess I'm touching up my own toe nails! No pedicure for me which I'm disappointed with! First time here. Came in because my usual lady wasn't in at the salon I go too and needed my nails done because one broke and one was lifted we all know how much that hurts. Lol. So was looking for something closer. This place has been in the area for over 10 years so decided to stop and give them a try. They were very nice and accommodating you what I needed and wanted. Hannah did a great job on my nails. Place got packed quick with regular customers who waited for their turn. My girlfriend and I just got a mani's and pedi's for $30. They did a nice job, we were both happy :-) They cut out the beginning of my ingrown toenail and that was nice, especially for my first time being there :-) They took us right away without an appointment on a hot Fresno Saturday Morning. They do need to update there nail polishes. Fresh bottles and new colors will bring me back. The atmosphere was okay, you get what you pay for. read more

When my daughter got her nails done the person doing them would take her hands roughly and scrub them roughly. He rushed through painting and got it all over her fingers and even on her hand. He scratched her nail beds and wouldn't answer the phone calls he was getting. And he put them in the uv light for too long read more

Just got a gel manicure on my real nails and a pedicure with French tip and they did a really good job! The gel polish has lasted me for 2 and a half weeks before I had to go back and get a polish change. Their prices are reasonable, 15$ for gel on real nail and 35$ for pedicure with French tip. read more

I only come to paradise, I have tried other salons and none compare . They have the best color selection and their nails last instead of break . Helen does a great job running the place, all very respectful. UPDATE: I have chosen to take my business elsewhere after years of being faithful to here. I am tired of feeling rushed after waiting 30mins to an hour to be seen. Then they raise the prices ...I wouldn't mind if I was getting quality service but it has all went down hill. Can't charge more for crappier service. Had a horrible experience the last 6 times I have been here but this is my nail home so I came back. But after this Sunday I can no longer come here. I want to relax and feel pampered and it's just too rushed and my nails keep coming out crooked and funky looking!! read more

They got upset cus I took a photo of what i liked to get and they couldnt give me a basic zig zag design so they wanted to give me stripes and i didn't like the design and they got really upset! I couldn't believe it and then with an attitude asked me well what you want! They seemed just so upset the whole time! read more

Staff was rude, and they don't sanitize their tools. I watched one staff finish doing the pedicure on this lady when another lady came in for a mani/pedi. When she was done w her mani she came to the chair for pedi. The staff rolled her nail cart and began working on this lady's feet. The staff did not once bother to clean the tools. I really don't understand all the negative reviews here. I get compliments on my nails all the time - even from an ex-manicurist who wanted to know where I get them done because she liked them so much and needed a place. I've been coming here for years and have never had a problem. I have, however, witnessed atrocious behavior by drop-in customers. Customers who treat service employees as second-class citizens and seem to think they have a right to be rude and demeaning to the staff. It makes me wonder if those same people are the ones who have written the negative reviews here. If you're looking for a foo-foo spa, this is not the place for you.....but if you're looking for a professional mani or pedi without all the chit-chat and gossip....Helen and Don are the best!! read more

Did not like this nail salon!!! I came in wanting a gel manicure... One of the girls didn't take her time and rushed on my nails.. Did ONE coat of gel polish, didn't at all use any tools to clean my cuticles, no massage, nothing. My manicure lasted 2 days.. Once they chipped I had to take all the polish off it made me so upset. I didn't want to go back and never will go back because it was lazy service. Even though the manicure is $15 it felt like a $5 manicure. I would have paid more for better service. The ladies here are so kind and helpful. I go to Yvonne every 3 weeks for my Pedi and refills she is so amazing and sweet.

I went into the shop around 5:45 for a full set, the lady said it'd be a long wait because of the people ahead of me and appointments... Because I had a job interview the next day and my nails were tore up I was willing to wait. About 6:15 a lady comes in and says "I'm back" and the woman who told me it'd be a long wait tells her "oh we didn't think you were coming back, it's past 6.. we have other people in front of you" the customer gets frustrated and asks what she's supposed to do, the employee says "I don't know what to say what to do, you weren't here at 6.." so the customer leaves then comes back and says "I'll be back in 40 mins.." I continue to wait and I can see it's about time they call me up, until said customer comes back in, now it's about 6:50, the employee looks at the customer and looks at me and says "I have to take her, she's come back multiple times it'll be another half hour or so before I get you" I was not happy, I walked out with nothing done. And nothing but a weak apology from the employee. I waited my time PATIENTLY, unlike the customer who was not very friendly and stayed there, again unlike the lady who walked out twice because she didn't want to wait. Had they told me when she left the 2nd time that she'd be put in front of me I wouldn't of wasted my time waiting. Very unsatisfied with how they handled this situation and wasted my time!! I was referred to this salon by my SIL and have no complaints. I have made 2 referrals myself since and they were pleased. I preferred June over the other manicurist. My nails last 3 weeks plus! Which is good for me. I don't have nails popping off or etc. I also get a pedi from June and she does awesome! read more

Very angry and disappointed!! I got there exactly at 9:00 because they say they open 9-7pm and no one was there. Waited for 10 minutes. Than some lady shows up, she decides to help an elderly lady instead of me when I was there first. She's the only one there and I'm there waiting to go next. Then she comes and says "5 minute ok" it's 10 and nobody has even showed up to assist me. A total waste of time there. read more

I've been looking for a nail salon for a while and decided to give them a try. Surprisingly This place was open on Fourth of July that was a plus. They got me and my sister in as walk-ins. We were in and out in 30 minutes. We were impressed with how fast they were and how precise they were with our nails. I am happy to say they did a great job. read more

Please go elsewhere. I called and made an appointment, showed up and waited 25 mins. Finally, decided to walk out. You walk inside and don't even get greeted. The inside of salon is dirty and far from a relaxing environment. I sat in the chair waiting my turn (which never happen) while I numerous flies buzzed around by head. I went here for about 5 years! June is the best!! I was really sad when I moved out of town. I still haven't found a place in my new town that is half as good as paradise nails. Very disappointed! Hygiene is huge for me and this place lacked just that. The salon it self is not clean. One of my major concerns is that they DO NOT disinfect any of the tools used for the pedicures. The prices are reasonable, but not worth it, in my opinion if you can potentially catch something. If hygiene is one of your major concerns, you are better off going somewhere else. read more

I wish I could give 0 Stars, I regret coming here and waisting mine and my friends money. I got a recommendation for this salon so we wanted to try it out. NEVER again! Definitely reasonably priced but poor quality, I could have paid $5 more at the salon I would normally go to and my nails would have been perfect. First off they're technique is very old and quick just to get you out of there faster. I know when you have a regular gel manicure you should file off the clear top coat and then soak the rest in acetone so it doesn't ruin the clients natural nail underneath but no the guy that did mine literally just drill filed all the gel off down to my natural nail and it made my nails thinner and he burned me. Second after he filed my full set none of the nails were the same shape, the gel had tons of fuzzies and dips under because he didn't tell me to wash my hands after filing them so all of that dust was under the polish, he did them so fast there was polish on my skin he didn't even clean it up at all. My friends nails were okay besides the fuzzies under her polish and her last two finger nails dried with dripping gel also the girl doing her nails didn't know what a coffin shape was or what "Crome" nails were either. You get what you pay for, that sucks. read more

My nails cracked the lady made them too thin and the gel chipped in both my thumbs one week after. Place isn't very homey feeling. Very quiet and plain. I had my nails done at another place and I had no complaints this place was an emergency fill and I will never go back. You get what u pay for. read more
