I got a variety of grinders this time, and every single one was outstanding--fresh ingredients, perfectly toasted rolls, and packed with flavor. The portions are seriously generous; these are some of the largest grinders around, easily enough for a full meal (or leftovers!). I especially loved the tuna melt--loaded with tuna, perfectly melted cheese, and just the right amount of seasoning. It hit the spot. Huge shoutout to the owner, Dave. What a gracious and friendly guy! He clearly takes pride in his business and makes you feel genuinely welcome. That personal touch makes a big difference. I want to say that the peace I got yesterday wasn't what I expected but let me explain! The pizza was the first time I tried a so-called Sisilian and it made it well and everything. But they use two does to make the pie and that isn't The ideal way. Paradise makes fantastic pizzas and sandwiches are terrific too I haven't tried some of their other stuff yet but everything I've had I loved. Pizza never showed up. After 2 hours of waiting I was told "it'll be there in 30 minutes." Wouldn't let me cancel cause I ordered it online but did tell the company they'd give me a 25% discount on an order I never received. we used to get pizza there all the time. the quality has declined dramatically. When we ordered our last pizza we asked for crispy crust. When we got the pizza the crust was hardly cooked. it stuck to the paper in the box. They have great food but the service is really bad. Every single time I place an order for takeout they tell me a time to pick it up and it's always at least 20 to 25 minutes additional that I end up waiting at the counter for my order, and let me tell you in the winter it's pretty cold standing around by the counter. I commented on it a couple times, no apologies they just shrug and say we are really busy. I get that they are busy. If you are that busy then don't tell me 30 minutes to pick up when you really mean 50 minutes. Bottom line don't order from here unless you have lots of time to hang around. read more

Okay, so call this update me realizing what crow tastes like. Pretty good actually! After being a bit frustrated with the wait time and inconsistency at the 'other' go to Pizza place in Watertown, we decided to give Paradise another go after a 2 year sabbatical. Here's what I learned: 1. The food here is good, like really good. Since our return we've been back 4 times for everything from pizza to grinders to salads, and have been nothing less than ecstatic with the product, price and turnaround time. 2. Sometimes I get attached to the 'other' places not because they are better, but more because they are 'other'. 3. If you run the price/wait time/satisfaction algorithm 10 times, this place will finish on top 9 times. 4. I love pizza, so much. Bottom line, if you have the option to wait twice as long and pay 15% more for a product that is just as a good, and you take that option...you might understand the nature of insanity. I LOVE Paradise! I can't believe there are no reviews for them yet! Oh my. The pizza here is wonderful, and they honor coupons every time we call. They also save your information with the number you call from, so you never have to repeat your address to them which is awesome. I always opt for the buffalo chicken sandwich which is PHENOMENAL. The bread is perfectly toasted, buffalo chicken bites perfect, and they allow me to change the types of cheese they use which is always a win in my book. They aren't to expensive either, which is awesome! For a group of us to eat it's always around $40, so you figure $10 give or take per person to eat a meal. Not to shabby in my book! read more

While the food at Paradise is good, twice when I have ordered the penne a la vodka (delivery), I have found HAIR in my pasta, and I can promise you that it is not my own. I have never been to the actual restaurant, but clearly that is where the problem lies. As far as the pizza, I have yet to find hair in it, and it is delicious. Always been good go there often best grinders and they make a great Turkey club. Always friendly and great people work there. Been a customer here for 5 years. Had the worst experience ever tonight. Called at 5pm for delivery and they said 45mins. I called after it'd been 1.5hrs and they said they were very busy and that it will be there any sec. This is something I understand having worked at a pizza place. I called back after 2hrs and told them not to worry about it anymore, I'm going somewhere else because 2hrs is too long. The teenager on the phone told me to stop yelling at her but I wasn't. I told her "I know it's not your fault" and to call the driver and tell him not to bother as I know they pay for their own gas. She said she didn't know what driver took it. They have 2 drivers...it's not hard to call both of them and ask who had me as a drop off. Possibly the worst customer service experience ever. Really pissed, both me and my wife always call for pickup/delivery and the phone girl is always very rude.. We always order back and forth between Tuesday and Wednesday nights every week.. The food is always amazing and we always get philly steak grinders and mozzarella sticks that are to die for!!
