I'm very disappointed in this pizza. This time I ordered delivery and I must say they delivered quickly, however, I really don't appreciate them delivering me a pizza that was sitting around all day. I can tell they reheated an old pizza and threw toppings on it. Plus, the crust was so sweet it tasted like lady fingers. I order from hop brook every other week. tonite I was told pick up 20 mminutes one hour and 15 minutes later they walk out to my car and carried my food to me. So my experience wasn't 100% positive with this place, but I give them a pass! I ordered a meatball sausage and cheese with peppers on half. They forgot the peppers on the first go BUT I called them and told them about it and they made me a new one free and promptly delivered it! Now on to the substance. The pizza was crispy, not too dry, and not falling on to my plate either. The flavors were excellent! I was very happy with both of my pizzas! 5 stars. We have ordered take out 2 times from here and been very happy both times. Tonight (Friday) was meatball and pepperoni pizza and garlic knots. Crust on the pizza was nice a crispy, not soggy. The garlic knots are the best I've had from around here. The sauce for dipping them was good. Of note it took about an hour for delivery, we ordered at 5pm. This place is great! They are under new ownership and you can tell they know what they're doing. The prices were lowered but same great quality. There pizza is very good but they also have great entrees and a great menu. The chicken Marsala was delicious, I can't wait to try the Franchese. To respond to the guy who said the employees stalked them, one time the cheese slid on my order and not only did they offer to make me a new pie without prompting they offered it for free. If I could now give it zero stars I would. Someone in our family ordered a meatball sub and was extremely ill last night and is still suffering the aftermath today. We are still on the fence to whether or not to visit the emergency room. Clearly the meatballs were either old or not kept at a correct temp or both. Seriously, Eat here with caution. These 2 stars are for "the New Hop Brook Pizza" so sad to see the original close and was excited that a similar restaurant was coming in. We ate at the new restaurant once and I would probably have give it a 3/4 Star review then, but tonight we got take out, picked it up on time and drove it the 4 minutes home. Both times at the "new" Hop Brook the pasta was definitely overcooked. The first time, the salad was very nice, tonight, old, rotted lettuce so could not eat it. They also put the salad dressing on top of the chicken parm container so the dressing was hot:( Tonight the chicken Parmesan was really thin, overcooked, and extremely tough. The old Hop Brook was always our go to restaurant. Unfortunately the new Hop Brook will not be. This was the review for the old Hop Brook Pizza. It deserved the 5 stars I gave it: Our first order was 3 days after they took ownership. The chicken Parmesan was delicious and the meatball sausage grinder was so tasty and neatly made. This has got to be our favorite local pizza place. We order from them all the time. They make great pizza. Our favorite pizza is the New Yorker without anchovies and my kids love the mozzerella sticks and buttered noodles. Florentine pizza described on their menu was completely different than what was delivered, forgot my soda, and the kids meal was delivered without the fries. Really great pizza. We live close so we ordered the "Hot Wheel" speciality pizza for pick up and walked since it was nice out. We were told 15-20 minutes and it was ready by the time we walked there. It's very clean inside and you can see the kitchen area once you walk in since it's right behind the counter in an open space. The staff were very friendly, price was more than fair ($16 for a large full of toppings) and most importantly the pizza was delicious! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The pizza at New Hop Brook is one of the best! They have pretty cool combinations, like the ricotta, broccoli, & bacon pizza--I highly recommend it!! The wait time however is the one thing they have to work one, because I have gone their on separate occasions, both times I have called and ordered about 30 minutes prior to arriving, and they are usually just putting in the pizza's. First of all when you call the are always super nice which is such a breath of fresh air when calling for pick or delivery and the delivery people are so nice they always comment on how cute my dogs are. If I could give Hop Brook Pizza more than 5 Stars I would! My Husband and I ordered from here last night. We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, Blue Chicken salad, and mild wings. It cost about $25. Which for what you get, it was beyond worth it. Everything was Fantastic! The portions were perfect. My husband and I always share meals, with take out food. We even had left overs because we were so full. The sauce on the Chicken Parmigiana was amazing! It was the best Chicken Parm We have ever had. Even the salad was perfect. I don't know about you but when I order a salad with grilled from other places, it is usually lettuce with a bit of chicken.
