What a great time my woman and I had here at Paradise Stream. We had a bit of a late check-in due to a storm that passed by that knocked out the power, but they had it up and running quickly. Prior to that, we arrived early, got ourselves signed in and acquainted with the resort. The check-in was at 3:30 pm so we hung out in the pool, The hot tub, walked around for a bit and played some pool. We ate dinner that you need to have a reservation to have. The food was really good. Both breakfast and dinner. The lamb shank was fall off the bone literally. The rooms were clean and comfy. Alot todo at Paradise Stream. Come and enjoy some very well-deserved time with your significant other.

2 stars for retro vibe. -100 stars for service. Front desk checkin was a chaotic mess. Reports of bugs in rooms on the phone coming in as we tried to get our key. Save yourself $10 and buy the same wax log at Walmart for $3 only 5 min away. The gift shop personnel was the least friendly cashier we've met in a long time. Zero assistance. No one is going to cordially invite you or even tell you about QR code flyer events posted only for certain days/times so read everything or you'll miss out like on haunted trail Fridays. They say not to reserve your meal times at reservation but at checkin they were filled up so you can't even eat when you want to. Our 2 story champagne suite filled with smoke with the flue open. NO CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR and only 1 window in entire 1k sf. We had to leave the door open for 4 hours to breathe. May have something to do with the 5" HOLE of the internal brick of our fireplace. The AC works well thankfully because it was well over 80 upstairs when we arrived with temps outside in the 50s. The "stars" light in the ceiling of our champagne tub has a short so it was flashing like a strobe light - epileptics beware. The between room insulation does not - we heard moaning and music from an adjacent room until 2am. NOTE: No water pressure in suite 422. Unsure if it's the entire property or just this suite but it was DRIPPING out of the rain shower head to the point if you had the shower head angled at all there wasn't enough pressure to keep all holes dripping so only half would drip AT FULLY ON. Especially love they encourage you to drive a few hundred feet away to night activities, drink heavily and drive to your room. Definitely make sure you have uninsured driver insurance because the clientele here is pretty sus. Activities director aka CXO is spastic and not friendly old guy. Do not be 1 minute late or you can't play because "he's got another activity to get to" (next in an hour). The games didn't match the daily calendar, for example a couples game show with sweets was a billiards tournament lasting 10 minutes. Marshmallow golf for a free nights stay included completely melted marshmallows that stuck to the wedge so you couldn't even hit them to attempt the game. Want to play for fun additional marshmallows? Too bad - they're not here for your enjoyment. Overall, if you plan to stay in your suite - okay. If you plan to play outdoors, you'll have to grab gear from the gift shop requiring IDs to be left with them to borrow damaged old and broken equipment worth nothing, but still ok for kitschy. If you actually want to do activities beyond getting drunk and screwing, you may want to go elsewhere. Sad to see these treasured historical places dive so low. It was a memory to be made on a bucket list. Highly recommend staying in your room or avoiding staff. And if you have any curiosity, a black light would be fun to see what you might be exposed to in suite. Honestly would not stay here again if it was free. Maybe another location has friendlier staff and a better activities director.

Overall I prefer this location to Cove Haven as it has a lot more around it. Breakfast had nice variety and was really good. My main complaints are the bed is on wheels which makes no sense and even locking the bed did not stop it from moving fully. Our room had ants in it which was not wonderful and the pool area is not super clean. Also the cable does not work right and the wifi sucks. However, they have fun activities to do both on property and off. Most on property activities are included in the price. They also have fun stuff to do near by and some good restaurants. Overall a few complaints but I would likely do it again someday or maybe try Pocono Place as I haven't tried their third property yet

We bought a day pass. $25 gets you a wristband and access to certain amenities. We had low expectations. The few hours we spent there together, in the land of love, were memorable. We had drinks at Spooners and ordered food. The drink (watermelon sangria) gave me such a bad stomach ache and heartburn, I had to leave to lay down in the car for a few minutes. When I returned, my food was there. Wings and fries. Definitely recommend. There isn't a changing room for the pool, so we used the restrooms, that were not the cleanest- but got the job done. They provided towels for the indoor pool and hot tub. Hot tub was nice. Lots of chlorine. My blond hair is green now There was a wall that displayed broken tiles that were found by previous lovers. We also found a tile with our toes and added it to the collection. Of course I was going back into the bar to get more drinks (decently priced for a resort) so after a few hours of swimming and playing, I'm drunkenly ready to leave. We had a good time because we always do together. Keep your expectations low and you probably will, too.

I really enjoyed this hidden gem. It was about a 3 hour drive away from baltimore but it was so worth it. I went during a week day and stayed overnight. It was in a nice quiet area. From the outside the room Didn't look that big but once you enter it was huge. The room had 3 floors. The room was clean and quiet. The hot tub was nice and spacious and by it being the shape of a glass made it even more special. The pool wasn't to deep but deep enough and big enough to move around. The sauna was pretty nice also. The room also had a massage table which was nice also. We even had free breakfast made to order. They had things to do on the campus but the room was so nice we didn't make it to the club. They have a club and a spa on site. You can even do the dinner if you don't want to Leave the resort. I'm definitely going to go back before the year is over. The receptionist was pretty nice also Jane.

The first room they gave us had no heat, so they nicely upgraded our room. Unfortunately the pool water was cold and wouldn't heat up. Maintenance said it will take time. The water was still cold the next morning. We stayed only one night, so we couldn't enjoy the indoor pool. The location was nice and breakfast was good. We will give them another try some other time.

The one star I give for front desk allowing us to leave and attempt to salvage the few hours left of my birthday by finding a new hotel to stay at. After driving hours to what was suppose to be a surprise birthday celebration getaway, we were greeted by the... - Trash all on the grounds - broken up pavements - door that you have to kick in, in order to open - dirty shower - dirty towels - carpet stains that look like urine - dirty bed linen - beds with no fitted sheets - wood furniture with splintered wood - pool room that smells like mold and bleach - electrical wires that should not be exposed - and a warm greeting on the window (I can laugh at it now but believe me in the moment I was furious) I can't make this up so I decided to share pictures to give you a visual!

The property is seriously dated, half of the activities are out of order, the bartender hates her job, and the hot water doesn't work. One of the MAIN things we chose this property for was the in room tub. How disappointing when we attempted to use it and the water was ice cold. Of course that meant we couldn't shower either which was even worse. We called the desk and the man working the front desk was obviously annoyed by our concern. They sent someone out an hour later and then called us an hour after that to let us know it was broken. Well duh. Also they called us to inform us well after 12AM.. Breakfast was rotten, and they were out of half of what they needed. Their customer service is a JOKE too. We've been trying to contact them for weeks regarding our stay in October but we continually get voicemails and promises to "get back to us" with nothing in return. Also in attempts to call the resort I found that their phones go "out of service" pretty often. What a waste of almost $1000 for 2 nights in a glorified motel. Not exactly the most ideal romantic experience. I waited to make this review until we had given it enough time and I can't believe that they have yet to give us any response.

This resort is good!! Bonnie was soo excellent and soo accommodating. She (Bonnie) made me and my husband first visit here very special. We stayed in the Champagne tower and the room was ok. First and foremost: the room have plumbing issues, they need to fix the bathroom ceiling, and the pool and the jacuzzi was not cleaned!! Besides all those other problems the room was very romantic

Serious ant issues. 11/15/21 me and my wife visited for my birthday. We had the Garden of Eden Apple suite. We settled into the room and was so excited. Didn't notice anything the first night. When we woke up the next day, i noticed something crawling on me. I noticed an ant infestation over the top of the bed, at least 40-50 of them. The bed could come off from the wall, but they were already on the sheets and bed. The full colony was trooping in that area, enjoying their squatter stay for free. We complained at the front desk and they moved us to an ant free room. The pain was having to pack everything back up, then move to another room. No compensation from Paradise stream. The rest of the visit was fine. 5/15/2022 My wife's birthday. I treated her to the Champagne towers. We were in room 403. She was so excited. I video taped entering the room, going up stairs and into the bathroom. Again! Ant colony by the sink. About 15-20 around the bathroom sink area, enjoying their stay (see photos). The good thing is we didn't settle into room yet. We called the front desk, they told us to come back to main office so they could change our room. The older lady at the desk did this quick and was very courteous. Since i can't upload video here, Later, I tried to snap photos from the video. So it's hard to see all the ants. Now we are in room 407, new cards and i inspected the entire place like an health inspector. Didn't see any ant friends. 5-16-2022 at around 12:30pm, i get a phone call from the manager lady. I'm half asleep. Shes telling me on the phone i'm not suppose to be in this room. I can barely understand her. I told her i had ants in my other room 403 and i was transferred to this room yesterday, the older lady put me in here by the front desk. She repeated you were suppose to check out already. Finally after a bunch of going back and forth, i verified my name again. Then she said I wasn't in the computer. How is that possible? What kind of organization is this? Then she apologizes, then i go back to sleep. BUT WAIT! IT GETS WORST! We are about to leave the room to head to dinner, i forgot my cell phone in the room. We try both keys and none of them worked. Obviously the manager deactivated the card keys since i wasnt suppose to be in the room. Didn't bother to reactivate the same keys, because she assumed i was someone else. Bad organization, bad communications, bad updating customer information, plus bad training for staff of not having correct in room. So i had to wait for a maintenance guy, didn't take long, just 5 minutes. He opened the door, so i could get my phone. Then i had to go back to the front desk, where older lady (forgot her name), was upset at the manager. She went on and on, that she put our correct information in the computer for that room. I don't know what to believe. So we have new keys to the room. WHITE POWDER STUFF FALLING FROM CEILING IN LIVING ROOM (SEE PHOTOS) 5-16-22 in the evening. We are using the pool in the room. Guess what we see? More ANTS!! They are back, but this time just the scout ants are here (I studied ants for my house and business. Learned how they send out scouts for food, then leave an invisible trail for the colony to follow so everyone can bring food back to the queen). So these ants were around the outside of the pool, looking for food. About 10-15 of them maybe. They were just running around looking for anything. We just squished them with our fingers (like aliens would do to humans one day), and splashed water on the rest. Wife left a small piece of hot ghost pepper nacho chip for them. We told the front desk later, and they offered to move us, but, We just stayed put. PARADISE STREAM NEED TO FIRE THEIR PEST CONTROL COMPANY OR CONTRACTOR. Whoever is doing their pest control is using out dated methods from the 1970s and 1980s. Spraying on the floors of rooms isn't the way to do things anymore, that's primitive! Thats what the lady at the front desk told me they could do. I don't want that in my lungs. Why would you spray something with all those chemicals that will hurt the guest more than the ant? There are smarter ways to deal with ants, i figured out the secrets. "GETTING RID OF ANTS FOR DUMMIES" 3 steps (I would do this for them if they were paying me). FIRST you setup a 6-8 feet ant spray perimeter around each hotel room block. You take out the ant colony outside of the 4 room apartments. This stuff on amazon can help with that: "Amdro Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait, 1LB" SECOND set up these traps outside the apartments and in the area under the room (maintenance area): "Terro 1806 Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits" Search on amazon. THIRD Set up these indoor ant traps in places in the room guest can't see: "TERRO T300B Liquid Ant Killer, 12

We will come back, Donna was amazing and so friendly and sweet. Lynnda (might have spelled it wrong was funny, sweet and an amazing greeter and loudgie was an amazing waitress and a sweet heart. Cons some of the activities they listed were not there and should be removed from the list 2. Outside activities need to be updated but we're fun. 3. Property is older which I understand some of the things but times and all should be replaced outside. 4. Poconos palace game room is amazing hope this place updates theirs. 5. The rooms need to be re painted and the crack and crevices inside should be fixed also. That is how pest get in. 6. The AC needs updated the rooms are warm the AC did nothing. PROs 1. Relaxing 2. Wooden location is awesome. We saw deer up close which they were nice deer. 3. Plenty of great views 4. The whole staff is so friendly and top notch. 5. I really, really wanted to like this place. I really did. My fiancee and I booked the Diana's Oasis room for a night, which is the second tier below the champagne rooms. It wasn't an inexpensive booking: by the time we paid all the various fees and such, we could have stayed a week in a more modest hotel. I'm going to mention the price because the problems with the room are exacerbated by the pricing. If you order a medium rare steak at the Awful Waffle, and it comes out well done, you shrug, eat it, and move on with your life; if you order medium rare at Chez Fancy Pants and it comes out medium well, it matters. On first impression, the room looked like a lot of fun, and nice. There's a small foyer, with the bathroom off of it. The bathroom sports a good sized walk-in shower, with multiple shower heads. The bedroom has a heart shaped jacuzzi, a round bed, a couple of chairs, and behind it, the "pool" room. The room is a little 70's tacky, but ... hey, we knew that going in, and that was part of the fun. The problem is... it doesn't look like anything has been touched up since 1974. On closer look, several of the sconces were broken and cracked, or missing chips. The furniture all had scratches, chips, dents, and such on it. Lightbulbs were burnt out and hadn't been replaced. The mirrors all had large black spots on them, and in one place, the mirror had been hastily repaired using duct tape! Yowch: for the price, they can keep up with the repairs on the place. Cleanliness was similarly lax -- it looked "clean enough," but a better look around showed footprints in the pool area, smudges and grease on a chair (given the atmosphere of the hotel, you know what that was from), etc. Worse, I woke up late at night to use the restroom, and discovered a large roach in the bathroom. YUCK! Given the atmosphere of the place, as a "couple's retreat," it really makes me wonder just what other things weren't cleaned and how they may have been used... :-X Having spent the day hiking, our first stop was the shower. One of the three shower heads was poorly attached and fell out of its holder, spraying water everywhere. Okay, that was actually pretty funny. There was a little tiny bath mat, which didn't serve to keep the floors dry under the best of circumstances, and definitely not then. The jets in the hot tub were poor, as well, and a couple of them barely put out any water (some were fine, some just didn't work well). The indoor swimming pool, by the way, is about 5-feet deep, maybe 3' wide, and 7' long (I'm guestimating, I didn't measure). Its more of a soaking pool than a swimming pool. The ladder wasn't well attached, rather rickety, and had a large wire obvious underneath it. Perhaps the most frustrating part was the way the room's shape effected the air conditioner. The foyer area bottlenecks with the bathroom into the main room. The AC is in the foyer - and you can set it at 60° if you want, and still have the rest of the room be hot, muggy, and uncomfortable: its hard for the cool air to get out of the foyer. This is especially true if you've used the pool or hot tub, or ... well, let's just say "used the bed." The round bed's novelty quickly wore off when it came time to sleep: I'm just 5'9, but even at the very centre, my feet stuck over. Also, one final word of warning. If you've seen their marketing materials, and are expecting to see anyone like the models in the ads, forget about it. I'm in my 30s, my fiancee in her 20s, and if you add our age together, you'll still be below the average age of the guests at the hotel: like the furniture, it seems like they've been there since the 70s.

Paradise stream leaves much to be desired. After viewing over the website and reading about all of the onsite entertainment and activities, we were excited to come and enjoy a weekend of fun outdoors. We were disappointed, to say the least, when we got here to see that while the activities advertised on the website were available on site, the facilities, resources, and equipment were all poorly maintained and unable to function and operate the way we had hoped. The basketball nets were torn down, the pool was dirty, the lake was nothing more than a small pond, and the miniature golf course looks like it was designed and put together by a small child. While the room we vacated, Diana's oasis suite, was nice and what we expected it did not make up for the disappointment of the rest of the resort. We came to paradise stream expecting a fun filled weekend outdoors but ended up spending most of our time either in the room or off site because what was offered did not anywhere meet our expectations. While the room was nice, it certainly was not worth the hefty price we paid to stay here. Also do not be deceived by the photos, and if you're expecting a five, four, or even three star meal at this resort you will be extremely disappointed. read more

The room was clean but needs more updating. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I was disappointed to see that there was no wood in the fireplace and we would have to pay extra for it. Dinner was not good. The rice tasted like cheap 5 minute rice, my tilipia had a lot of dry, bland breadcrumbs on top and my husband's prime rib was grossly underseasoned with a strange sauce that was not Au Jus as stated on the menu. This is a major problem for those looking forward to a nice dinner at an all-inclusive price. Breakfast was pretty good, however. Overall, this place could offer a great experience for couples needing solitude, but the place needs to get rid of its old decor (70's minigolf characters, red everywhere, etc.) in some areas, dramatically improve dinner and change the music to maybe soft instrumental in the dining area and entrance instead of random songs that are a bit obnoxious at times. read more

I have stayed in this resort twice Jan of 2012 and Jan of 2013. Both times we have had amazing times! The POINT of this resort is that it is different. It has a way a making you spend time with spouse. I dont understand why someone would want a romantic weekend with WiFi for a cell phone, I mean are you that important? I spent an amazing weekend with my husband, the staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. We were given an option for an upgrade and a tour to help us decide. Our reservation came with a "passion pkg" and it was brought to our room. We had one very small issue with our room but they sent maintenance out and it was fixed within minutes, and he was very pleasant as well. The room was great, roomy and most of all it was fun. I took decorations and decorated the entire room and we laughed and had the best time. Dinner all nights were very good and we had plenty to eat. They even have appetizers in the lounge before dinner and on some nights late night snacks. Breakfast in bed is a full breakfast here, they call you just before they arrive and you have the option of going to the dining room as well. We had the pleasure of meeting people and a lot of the staff has been there for some time, in fact I remembered the waitresses from both the Dining room and the lounge from the previous year. I find the fact that it is an all couples resort a big plus!! Kids on a romantic weekend while you are trying to relax is just not appealing in any way. So book a room, get to have some fun, laugh, act like your dating again, you might just find that it is exactly what you were looking for and just couldn't see it for looking. A very big thank you to all the staff at the resort for making our stay a pleasant one. read more

Don't let any of the positive reviews fool you, this place is disgusting. My girlfriend ans I were going to stay in the champagne suite for our anniversary, and were immediately greeted with a run down, seedy atmosphere. The carpets are filthy and stained, the furniture had tears, stains from god knows what, and visible signs of wear. The place reeked of chlorine soooo bad from the way too hot pool, that almost 3 weeks later our clothes still have the smell in them after multiple washings. The pool, which I foolishly jumped into without looking at first, was so hot it was uncomfortable, and filled with odd chunks and unidentifiable matter floating in the water. I am guessing they chlorine the hell out of it because they never change the, what I can only imagine is bodily fluid filled water. After this we didn't want to touch anything, but decided to try and make the best of it and get in the Jacuzzi, HUGE MISTAKE. As the water filled the tub we were greeted with so much PUBIC HAIR from people that came before us, that it was sticking to us and we could not escape it. Along with the mystery pubic hair, there were what we thought may be bugs in the tub at first, but turned out to possibly be rotting rose petals shooting from the jets. Needless to say we immediately got out, got our things and got the hell out of there. We originally booked 2 nights and left after 2 hours. On top of that the refund we were promised has yet to show up, even after multiple calls to management. Do yourself a favor and book a room at Mt. Airy Casino instead, it has super clean rooms, romantic restaurants, a full casino, and more than enough activities to occupy your time. Best of all it is literally 2 minutes from this awful place, and half the price. If you care at all where you stay, or are not a swinger (which I assume from the people and atmosphere I saw, could be the only reason you would go here). We have traveled a lot, and stayed in numerous places, this was the ONLY place we have ever left. I would call it the worst experience ever, but I think the part where we were cover in other people's pubes, kind of did that for me... read more

A total disappointment. For the $938 cost Paradise Stream charges to stay a weekend my room should have been spotless. When my girlfriend and I walked through the front door of our room we were greeted by a damp mildew stench, wasn't a pleasant smell. We toured our room excited to see the features. The stand up steam shower hot water knob was falling off and was greasy. Took a look at the 7 foot champagne hot tub and noticed it was filthy. Tub did not look clean at all. We found hair in the tub. The heart shaped pool was a cool site, but as we got closer we saw paint chips floating in the pool caused by peeling paint. Sauna room had spider webs in a couple areas, made us not want to use it. Our all inclusive package included breakfast and dinner. Wasn't a whole lot to choose from on the menu. We had the beef short ribs with grits and bacon, boy was that a mistake. Grits was terrible! Very dry and bland. Short ribs were tender and tasted okay, but only came with 3 small pieces. Very small portion of food. Didn't try their breakfast service to avoid further disappointment, instead we went to an awesome diner on route 611. Overall this resort is overrated and is poorly up kept. Definitely not worth the price tag. Future goers please beware read more

*I would have given this resort 3 stars but I can see how terrible customer service is . My husband and I stayed here from Wednesday to Friday and at first were impressed until I kept getting hit with house keeping issues . We tried to make the best of our time but as time went on I found more and more wrong in the room . Didn't bother with concierge as previous reviews show they don't do anything but aggravate the trip even more . Well the room was dusty in the bed room had to wipe down the table , vanity , and massage bed . Dead bugs in drawers . Black specs in pool and jacuzzi . Oh yeah and a beautiful throw up stain behind the door. I wrote a kind enough letter to management and still haven't heard back. Next ill be contacting the BBB. The stairs to the pool were crooked and breaking off the tile we couldn't use it to get in and out of the pool. The bikes on premises are almost all broken. And the water is too freezing to even enjoy. Some people got in complaining the whole time just to be good sports to their wives . The property has some updating but that's not the issue with this hotel management has some serious cleanliness concerns they should be addressing but ignore. read more

Booking online was easy, and check-in was simple--we just stopped by Frogtown Chophouse to pick up our keys and finished the paperwork the next morning. Our cottage was clean, in good repair, and surprisingly quiet given that the restaurant is on the property. The space is set up well for a couple or small family: a bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a queen sleeper sofa, a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), and even a propane fireplace that was perfect for chilly September evenings. While the fixtures and linens were a little dated, everything was tidy and comfortable, and the unit could easily sleep four. The only real downside was the low water pressure in the shower--not ideal, but not a deal-breaker either. At just over $500 for two nights, we felt it was a fair investment for the experience. The on-site restaurant, Frogtown Chophouse, is highly rated, and we enjoyed stopping in for cocktails one evening. The bartender gave us excellent local recommendations that added to our trip. All in all, Woodfield Manor offered exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing home base in the Poconos.

We also had the chance to experience both lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was a nice bonus. We loved being able to enjoy ourselves without having to leave the property. We're also so glad we upgraded our stay to include access to the concierge lounge. A special thank you and shoutout to Darius for recommending the upgrade--it was absolutely worth it! The lounge was lovely, classy, sophisticated, and comfortable. With unlimited access, we enjoyed complimentary beverages (including beer and wine), snacks, light breakfast, midday bites, and evening finger foods. It was such a nice perk and added an extra special touch to our anniversary getaway. And it's the little things that caught my attention. I mean, even the hang tag for your room door feels like quality! That pretty much sums up the attention to detail throughout this hotel. I could go on and on about all the little intricacies and thoughtful touches that made our anniversary getaway special, but then this review would turn into a novel. We had upgraded our room to the concierge floor as my other friend had reserved one. Our room was super clean, modern, and cutely decorated to go with the outdoor-ish theme of the hotel. Our view was the back wooded area and we were able to see deer plenty of times during the stay. The room was spacious, beds were very comfy, bathroom was nice and loved having a Dyson hair dryer available for use after showering. They also had really cozy bathrobes for lounging around in. I loved that there was Apple TV and was able to log in to watch from our subscribed streaming services and also view cable channels. We had access to the concierge room and were able to grab drinks and snacks at any time. They had a variety of chips, cookies, candy, snack bars, cereal, fruit, water, soda, juice, wine, and beers. The house made granola was AMAZING! I would literally go to just get a bowl of it. They had a pool with plenty of lounger chairs. It was a nice and quiet and I was able to relax and read my book poolside. They also served food and drinks at the pool. I had a delicious espresso martini. They also had evening swim hours for adults which was nice. Overall I had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back again. Concierge room is definitely worth it especially since I love a late night snack! All the employees were so kind and greeted everyone with a smile. Shoutout to our housekeeper Karon-- she was the sweetest and so helpful! Plenty of parking and there is also a nice Japanese restaurant nearby.

Found a hotel maid/cleaner, and had her give me another towel. But like seriously, these are things that should all be double checked before renting a room out to someone. We got charged 335 for a Sunday into Monday, and honestly we should have been discounted or given a voucher for another night or something. Because that's just crazy.

(Yeah, somebody should probably make a separate Yelp listing for the golf course versus roping it…read morein with the rest of the place but, whatever) Ok, it's been a few weeks since playing here and the details are quite fuzzy, but here's a few points: First, every course should have something like the below on their website. It's a must read before playing here. Every hole fully broken down by yardage/tee box locations/hazards/distances to the green from hazards & landing areas, etc. You're flying blind & insane to not look at it before playing. mountairycasino.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Golf_Course_Tour_R1.pdf The best way I can describe this course would be to say that every hole has something going on and you, IMHO, cannot DeChambeau it here by just gripping/ripping and seeing what'll happen next. Let me help in advance that what'll happen next is usually going to involve something with your ball being lost in sand/water/trees and a high ass score. Yes, every hole has some combination of extra narrow fairway, lined with trees, water, multiple traps, water & traps, healthy elevation up or down, blind dog leg, etc. Even the "easy" ones, have a twist that's not in your favor. I'm not saying this place is impossible, but it does require thought/strategy and if you have it (I know I don't) some ability to be a measured shot maker. Unlike your garden-variety municipal course where the holes just go back and forth and a hook or a slice turns into simply playing out of the next fairway, here, if you're not straight or in the fairway consistently, usually you're screwed. The three signature holes to me would be #17, #13 and #14. #17 is a short par 3 where you hit from an exaggeratedly high tee location and the entire main resort/casino building is below/in front of you. #13 is a par 5 that's about 480 but you got trees to the right and left off the tee and around 250 yards out there is a large patch of waste land and then water you need to either lay up in front of or try to bomb it over to get to the other half of the fairway. #14 is my favorite because you tee it up right next to their sewage treatment plant. Nothing says ambiance better than a big fat nose full of summer steamer when you're waiting for people in front of you. Pace of play was so-so. They have signage and all sorts of crap out there about it, but no one is enforcing anything. We played on an early weekday afternoon and had no one in front of us until #13. Two hours to play 1-12 and two more hours to play 13-18. That's BS. The only real negative is that they push their middle of the round food/drink stop a bit too timeshare hard. Each of the three staff members we encountered "reminded" us about it and they have a large sign after #8 re-reminding you that you can call your order in to pick it up after #9. Carpets stained and needed to be replaced. The sofa bed mattress was about 2 inches thick and you could feel the springs coming through the mattress. No pans, silverware, etc in cabinets. This is advertised as a full kitchen. On day 2 we step out from 11am until 5pm, to return to room and they are just starting to clean room. If you are making a quick one night or two night stay-over and wish to stay close to the H2OO water park then maybe but otherwise I would not recommend.

Lisa, our coordinator personally drove some staff in, all of the staff slept there that night and helped us all dig out the next morning . For anyone considering, I wished I had booked a breakfast for our guests the next morning because the cafe was adorable. Oh, there were also so many great photography opportunities!

We devoured absolutely everything we had. Portions were generous and the flavors were out of this world. Customer service on the restaurant side was also very good. Do note that dinner isn't included in your stay, but I HIGHLY recommend trying the restaurant. Aside from all of the above, I can't overstate how good the customer service was here. Lastly, adult supervision should be required in the arcade. A child was screaming so loud on the vr ride that my family opted to leave because it was that bad. No staff addressed it and no parent present to correct it.

FIRST OFF.... I read thru these reviews and canceled my reservations....then I couldn't get another room elsewhere at such last minute because all the other ski resorts were full... I was so upset about the whole situation until I pull up to this beautiful colony of small villas and suites... -I loved the fact I could just pull into my own parking space directly in front of the unit. Privacy is essential to me. I then walk into my suite and WOW. -There's a gorgeous modern/updated full bathroom with beautiful spa like features... -A huge round King size bed, -a deep jacuzzi right across from the bed and in a separated section of the room, -a lovely 2-person private pool (Yes, a POOL in every room WOW) ...and even a fireplace just for you, YES WOW -flat screen TVs -MIRRORS EVERYWHERE (makes the suite feel like a mini-mansion) ...the design of the place was so unique, it made me want to look up the architect that built this place and have him build my place lol... WOW -the staff was extremely attentive and super courteous, like really really nice people that all greet you as soon as you walk up to them, which is very welcoming -they have a cute little club and resturant that isn't all that bad...lol... -they also have a delivery service for food that taste pretty good/fresh ....keep in mind, -THIS RESORT IS OLD. Like 60 years old, and most of the guest are retirees and old couples (which is actually quite inspiring if you don't mind moving out of the way of their walkers lol...) -they are in the process of renovating and updating the property so bare with them because most rooms here are still 100x better then any of the surrounding resorts -this resort is suitable for couples 45 & up, mature crowd only. -some of the rooms still have the same pools/jacuzzi as they did when it was built, which is kind of gross and cheesy (heart shaped pool lol) -the water in PA is hard and causes water stains and scum to build up in the jacuzzis which isn't really their fault but it is gross -the fireplace is in the same room with the pool so the fumes can get a tad overbearing -Kinda smells like mold everywhere in the bathroom areas -the activities are cute but not all available at all times -and the buffet food was high school cafeteria-ish but not that bad. -my waiter gave me a glass of ginger ale that tasted so much like dish washing fluid, I had to spit it out, but he was so nice I still left him a $5 tip just cause I appreciate the fact they even are trying to make your experience as wonderful as they can ;)) -funny comics and good entertainment -fresh popped popcorn all day!) -delicious coffee machine in lobby (free of charge) ....overall the common areas make you feel like you're visiting your grandparents nursing home on Disco Night lol But the old folks got moves so don't sleep on EM ...you've gotta really open your mind if you are going to stay here and make the best of it cause you will LOVE your room either way... ....BEST room Ive rented from a hotel in PA... read more

After carefully reading the reviews we knew EXACTLY what to expect when we got there. It seems that the negative reviews are due to the fact that those people simply did not do their research. In this day and age when the answer to just about any question is a few mouse clicks away, it's the fault of the consumer for not being informed. This place is dated, cheesy and so much fun! Your room will have wall paper coming off the wall. In our case it's was put back up with packing tape. There were a few burn marks on the carpet next to the fire pit. The mirrors around the in room pool are scuffed up. Needless to say some areas of your room and the resort facilities could use some TLC. With that said, we had a blast! If you come here with the intention of having a good time and not taking life so seriously then that's exactly what's going to happen. We went for the all inclusive package. Which includes breakfast, dinner and nightly entertainment. The only down part was that alcohol was not included. We stayed in a champagne suite and this room is amazing! You have a personal heart shaped pool that is heated. If you get bored with the over head lighting you can always turn on red pool light. There is also a massage table with a heat lamp and a sauna. Of course there is the insane jacuzzi that over looks the living room (bring bubble bath). After that we would relax by the fire place (bring your own duraflame logs) The staff was pleasant and looking to help you in any way they can. Everyone always had a smile on their face. I read that some people did not like the food but I had a different opinion. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the steak and lobster for dinner was perfectly cooked to my liking and the lobster was fresh. They have a game room with some old school games, billiards, ping pong, air hockey, racket ball and the lost goes on. In the same building there is an indoor pool with two huge hot tubs, one with a big water fall that it's warm and the other with a small waterfall which is hot. We took advantage of both and we highly recommend you do too. The entertainment was top notch. We saw Justin Willman and he was hysterical. He's a magician/ comedian and he did not disappoint. We can not wait to come back. We will definitely get the champagne suite again since it was everything we thought it would be. We might try cove haven or Pocono palace and see what the other locations have to offer. Just remember to do your research and leave your expectations at home. Your vacation is what YOU make it. Just awful! What a nightmare! We arrived at Paradise Stream, Saturday April 28th. We planned a romantic Birthday getaway weekend, that turned into a complete nightmare! Upon arrival at room 333. Immediately the smell of mold hit you as you opened the door. The room was dirty and deplorable. The room appeared not to have been updated in 30 yrs. We will start with the jacuzzi. It was dirty with soap scum sticking on the bottom, the pool tile was broken and cracked, definitely a tripping or foot cutting hazard. The wall between the jacuzzi and TV wall, had black mold growing at the bottom, clearly from the leaking Jacuzzi constantly. The shower, where the caulk line was supposed to be was BLACK with mild. This room wasTotally disgusting. We left,complained ar the office and they changed our room to 310. We were told a member of the house keeping staff would meet us at the room, which no on ever showed up, and we were told this room would be much better and more to our liking. Upon arrival at the building you has to dodge huge piles of duck poop, that clearly never cleaned up. This room was just as outdated as the last, shower still had a mold line but less than in Room 333. We decided to make the best of it since we drove 3 hours to get here. We actually stayed out of the room as much as possible due to the out date-ness of the room and the carpet totally grossed me out. The entire place is carpeted with red carpet that clearly has not been changed or cleaned in 30 yrs. Day 2 we spent the entire day out sight seeing, we arrived back at the room around 11pm. As we were getting ready to end the night. A Huge RAT ran across the room from the fireplace/TV area and under the couch. My husband got a trash can and moved the couch to try trap it and it ran under the bed. At this point my bags were pack and we left for the office. We demanded a full refund. We spent over 700 for two nights. They would only refund one night. Which is bull for all the hassle we put up with. A complete nightmare of a weekend. We checked into the Mt Airy Lodge at 12:45am. Should have stayed there from the beginning. Cost 120.00 and was absolutely beautiful. Don't be fooled by this place, The Board of Health should shut it down. read more

I'm not sure where Jenny was staying, but it can't possibly be the same resort I just left. First of all, we booked a jacuzzi suite and when we checked in we got a free upgrade- they let us choose any of the fancy suites they offered for free! We chose the Garden of Eden Apple because I had heard consistently good things. We were so excited as we walked to our room, despite the weird and borderline creepy appearance the outside of the buildings have. (It's because they are round and don't have any windows) We had a gorgeous CLEAN room all done in shades of red and white with a red heart shaped tub, big fireplace, and in-room pool and sauna. Extremely romantic. We enjoyed every aspect of the room. The round "Blush Bed" was amazingly comfortable, the pool (which I thought would be weird) was SO fun, and we loved burning logs in the fireplace to make the room cozy. We didn't use the sauna because I'm weirded out by tiny spaces and don't necessarily like to be hot, but it looked nice and clean in there too. We loved hooking up our ipod to the bose player provided in the room and pumping our music through the surround sound system that runs through the entire suite. (although be sure to bring a proper RCA cord in order to hook up the ipod- it is not provided) After reading tons of reviews on this place we did follow some other people's suggestions like bringing our own logs for the fireplace and bringing our own drinks (there is a mini fridge in the room)- so be sure to read other reviews (tripadvisor.com has a million) for great tips like that. DEFINITELY do the horseback riding next door (you can walk there) it was so fun and really affordable. I do think that they have recently undergone renovations, so maybe Jenny had some issues but I saw nothing like that while I was there. Everything seemed updated and clean. Food was good. It wasn't the best 5 star restaurant food, but it was decent food and they give you whatever you want so you can always order something else if you don't like what you got. The service is WONDERFUL. Everyone is happy and friendly and aims to please. I find it unbelievable that anyone would complain about that aspect of it. All in all- we will definitely be going back. read more

This is for the pocono palace resort; I have never been so embarrassed and treated so poorly by a place in all my life. My boyfriend and I almost spent the night at this resort, when we tried to sleep the bar music was so loud it felt like it was right in the room. I phoned down to the desk and the man said to pack up and come down... At 10:30pm I was a little annoyed we even had to repack and move, but we did. I get down there and he hands us new keys, and I ask about the room for tomorrow night, the guy then says we only have one room for tonight. I am in a wedding and the bride was told by employees and her wedding planner that the night of the wedding there is a complimentary room. The guy at the front desk then says no it is a room for a day that is only for changing. He tells me that the bride lied to me, and that we both have NO COMMON SENSE! He told me to call the bride, the night before her wedding!!, so that she can tell me that she lied about the room! He took 40 mins to give me my money back because he was arguing with me about how his employees would never tell the bride that a room was free. I just don't understand then why no one said a thing when I checked in only 4 hours prior, with the bride present!, and she said "okay so this guest will be here two nights because that room is complimentary ". I asked to speak to a manager seeing as how I live over 2 hours away and I did not want to miss the wedding over miscommunication between the employees, the front desk employee said he was a supervisor and he could offer me NO help what's so ever, and then calls security to escort me out!! I have never been treated like that at a place that people speak highly of! Your employees line of communication obviously has some holes in it!!! My friend and I had booked a lakeside villa for two nights. We thought we would have a wonderful vacation. We sat on our porch for two days watching a goose sit on the eggs that were hatching. On the second night, about 8pm, we sat there in shock and disbelief as two of the hotel staff went up to the nest and bashed the eggs with what looked like a stick of golf club. The goose stood there with his head hung low, and stayed there all night. He was still sitting near his nest in the morning. We confronted the men who did this, and contacted two people in management, who told us that this is "animal control." We saw only these two geese on the property, and they were on a small island alcove in the lake, not bothering anyone. Needless to say, it ruined our vacation, and we left first thing in the morning. I cannot believe how heartless and cruel these people were, and believed that the only mistake they made was doing it during hours that we were awake. This is animal cruelty ...and shows that for "The Land of Love" there is no heart or love at all. I would never recommend this resort to anyone, for that simple reason. Think before you book here and have to see what this management calls "acceptable animal control." read more

From the time we arrived to the time we left, our experience was one for the books! Upon check in, our room was upgraded to a Garden of Eden Apple suite when we had originally booked our stay in a Jacuzzi suite! With this upgrade, we were pleasantly surprised to find a pool and a sauna in our room!! The staff was very accommodating and contributed to a positive experience (shout out billy o!!!) Billy O, the CXO, was super friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was super fun to interact with! He hosted a "would you rather" game and we won a free fire log for the fireplace in our room! The included breakfast and dinner were phenomenal, and the nightly entertainment, a magician, provided a great show! We even were involved in his act! My boyfriend and I just returned from a two night stay at Paradise Stream. We didn't want to leave !! It far exceeded our expectations. The champagne tower room is incredible.. steam shower.. champagne hot tub .. heart shape pool..sauna and fire place. The room was clean but dated but we didn't care! Where can you go and have all these amazing options in your room ? We used all of them and it was so relaxing! The staff were amazing ! Friendly .. helpful and accommodating . There are so many activities to do you won't be bored . Lots of outdoor activities and in the lounge! We played many of the couples games and had so much fun ! They had a wine testing and beer testing while we were there which was a lot of fun and DJ. The pool and hot tub in main area was also amazing .. we spent everyday enjoying the large waterfall hot tub!! read more

This was a beautiful place,we loved the room. But the service here just sucked. The ppl at the front desk kept messing things up causing alot of unneccesary stress for me. And they didnt fix it or make up for it . The food at the restaurant, especially the dinner- was horrible, and the menu was for a very select palette. So beware when paying for all inclusive, you're better off eating out. I thought this would be a perfect place but things happened that were unacceptable. Other than that, it is a great place for love. We wanted to get married there but afraid the same things will happen on that stay. It has the potential to be better if the staff chose to. read more

Paradise Stream is by far our favorite place in the Poconos. We love the Lakeside Villa and enjoy sitting on the covered deck enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. We also enjoying sitting inside in front of the roaring fire. The food is excellent and they accommodate my food allergies with an excellent meal. A special thank you to Camber for always answering any questions or taking care of any needs we have. We have been married for 11 years and this was without a doubt one of the best times we ever had. The staff was great, the morning breakfast was amazing (we did dinner somewhere in town), and the room was incredible. We stayed in the Garden of Eden. It was a surprise for my wife, and after we first saw our room she asked in shock, "How did you find this? I didn't even know a place like this existed." We hope to make this an annual trip, and I couldn't recommend highly enough the Garden of Eden! If you are looking for a romantic getaway, you will not find better. read more

My boyfriend and I went there for our anniversary in September. WE GOT CHLAMYDIA FROM THIS PLACE!!!! We made the mistake of going skinny dipping in the pool, learned a valuable lesson! The pool obviously needed to be cleaned!! We used the tub, which we had to clean out before our use of it. Sheets were stained and housekeeping moved our "toys" around. My boyfriend and I came here for a weekend getaway and we stayed in a lakeside villa. We were debating between the champagne towers and the lakeside villa, but I'm glad we went with the villa because of the location. The villas were very close to the gift shop (where you rent all activity equipment), the dining room, and all activities. We stayed 2 nights in the Garden of Edan Apple Suite. We had our own private pool. Just the right size for 2. Jacuzzi and a sauna in the room as well. Lots of outdoor and indoor activities even though we stayed mid week. Such a relaxing time with much fun had. Paddle boats, archery just to name a few. Thank you to all the wonderful staff. Arrived at 4:00 exhausted. Was assured our room would be ready at 3:00. At check- in we were told our room was not ready and we were "number 2" on the queue. NO. I think they said it used to be a boarding house. We would absolutely stay again just for Angie's kind hospitality and delicious breakfast. I don't know if they are still doing this, but if you pay cash, they'll give you a slight discount. I would recommend if you're a sensitive sleeper bringing a noise machine or using your phone for white noise to help block out the street traffic, but even that was pretty minimal. Also, don't worry about the sulfur smell in the water when taking a shower, the water is piped in from an underground well, but it is 100% safe to use. Loved the Roth House!

The suite was spotless and beautifully furnished and had a very comfortable king-size bed. We received a gracious and warm welcome from the host when we arrived. First, let me start from the outside going in. The street that the Inn is located is so quaint and charming, we weren't even inside yet, and I knew it was going to be wonderful. Diane and Chris were fantastic hosts, gave us tips on where to eat and things to do. The Inn has a fireplace in the common area along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Our suite was a great size, and I was very impressed with how clean it was. The mattress was very comfortable, and so was the couch in the sitting room. The in room breakfast was perfect! Stocked juices in the mini fridge, fresh yogurt with honey and berries, and ready on our table were granola, fruits, scones, muffins, biscotti and the most delicious cakes. We did not get into our car at all as everything was less than a 10 min walk away. We did the train ride, a show at the opera house, Big Creek tasting room, Myst, Molly Maguires, and shopping. When we come back to Jim Thorpe, and we will be back, Times House will be our place to stay! I'm already trying to arrange a friends trip for next fall!

Chris (one of the innkeepers) greeted us after we parked to offer assistance with luggage and show us to our room. We were staying in Serenity which was located on the third floor. The room was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. A small table was already set with dishes for breakfast the next morning. Fresh baked goods, courtesy of Diane (the other innkeeper), as well as fresh fruit, homemade granola, and a refrigerator stocked with orange juice, apples juice, bottled water, creamers for coffee and yogurt were all provided for us to enjoy for breakfast at our convenience. Down in the main parlor there was also a side table set up with coffee, tea and hot cocoa. When housekeeping visited our room the next afternoon, everything was tidied up and the items we consumed were replenished. The room had a television with streaming ability. The location of Times House was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We did not have to visit our car again until our departure. My husband and I have already recommended Times House to several friends and plan to visit here again ourselves.
