Service was great, was seated soon as we entered, little busy for a Saturday evening but lots of seating also bar area available. Food was good server was informative and friendly, always came back to see if we needed more since we did opt for the all you can eat option. Did try the Aguachille roll honestly not what I expected much rather have it without the rice and seaweed. The tempura was good had a different crunch to it with it came with a little more dipping sauce. The food was meh. I don't usually eat raw food so I opted for the California roll. I tried their regular version and their deluxe version. The regular one tasted a little off...but the deluxe version was a lot better. The spicy mayo definitely bumped up the taste. My Co-Workers and I Came here for lunch since it's close by our clinic, we wanted to try this place out. It was our first time here. When we walked in we was greeted and seated, normally when hostess or servers attended to you, they normally as if we have been to the establishment before, we automatically thought it was like all the other AYCE places so the 4 of us decided to do the AYCE Sushi for $30, the AYCE is limited to certain rolls and sashimi. Don't get me wrong, the sushi and appetizers were good, but as the rolls came out, we was questioning why we had sooooo many of the same rolls, at first the server asked if we wanted to wait and order the "second" order and if there is left overs it will be an $11 charge to bring home leftovers, we agreed to pay the $11 if we don't finish, since we had to leave to go back to work, we definitely had to have some left overs, we asked for a couple boxes and the check, when the server came back he said he had to charge us $0.50 a piece for left overs & since we had a couple "full" rolls he had to charge us FULL price for the roll!! WTF!! What the point of getting AYCE when you still have to pay for the left overs and at FULL PRICE!! NEVER COMING BACK!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!! Place is great. Great customer service. The sushi's are amazing and yes, all you can eat for $40. Place has people conversing and a soccer game showing but best of all is the sushi. Worth visiting. Park from behind 4th street, you'll get a 2 hour limit parking fee for 75 cents and hour. The place has a fair amount of tables. My Pastor referred me and I tried. At first the male waiter didn't recognize me as a customer until I spoke up but the female customer who took over was nicer to me. Didn't charge me for the extra dish I couldn't finish for this one time only but gave her a big tip. Even though some discrimination took place I enjoyed it. read more

We went here for there unlimited sushi and lunch price. Very slow service, forgot orders multiple times, and poor quality of the food. "Red lobster of sushi" a quote from anonymous. In other words, come here is you would like your sushi to come 15 mins late and if you want a surprise to see if your food will come or not. I do not recommend. one of the rare, if not only, all you can eat sushi spots in Marin County. $30 for lunch (1130a-3p), $42 for dinner (3p-close). I tend to stick to nigiri and the fish to rice ratio is quite decent compared to other AYCE sushi places. You can also add sashimi for an extra $10, but the AYCE menu has rolls, hand rolls, nigiri, and appetizers!!! Haven't tried any of the cocktails but they look quite tasty. They also have Happy Hour. Service was great, my glass of ice water was never empty, and my food arrived within 7-10 mins from when I ordered. They also use Toast and have a Rewards program so make sure you give them your phone number and sign up when asking for the check. They also have locations in Santa Rosa and Petaluma, which were the ones I used to frequent, so I'm overjoyed there's one here in San Rafael! My only gripe would be the parking situation as the block is all metered. read more

We came here because it was hot and we wanted to eat something cool. We have seen this location and finally decided that it was time to try it. When i walked in i was greeted by a nice hostess and she asked if we had a reservation and if no, we could still get seated anywhere we would like. We sat at the corner booth and then our waiter came by with nice ice cold water and explained how the menu works. Menu: you can order off the all you can eat menu for $40 per person or you can order from the other menu and that wis more traditional in the sense that its bento box's, single hand rolls, plates etc. We did the all you could eat $40 and it was perfect since that option comes with a soup and salad The ambiance and staff was great, they have a full bar and its spacious inside , not loud, parking all along side the street and they have parking in the back. read more

This was our second visit to Paradise Sushi. We've been to the Petaluma location quite a few times and loved it. We were excited when we found out they were opening in San Rafael. Plenty of parking. Went for lunch today. If you love sushi, the all you can eat is the way to go. Lunch price is $26.95. My favorite is the Golden California Roll. We came here for the All You Can Eat sushi, and if volume is what you want, it's a pretty good deal. But the quality of the sushi is so so, and the nigiri pieces and very small, with more rice than fish. The service was initially quite slow, even though there were only about 4 occupied tables for lunch, but it did pick up. Hand rolls were better than the nigiri, and sashimi is not included in the AYCE menu. I'd rather pay more for better sushi. read more

Came here for dinner and the place was packed when I walked in. It had that usual sushi spot vibe. Nothing fancy, just a simple and casual. I ordered a salmon sashimi and a roll and it was alright. Great food as usual, be patient as they are working out the kinks from just having opened. A hidden gem if Bay Area people don't know. We normally go to their other locations in Petaluma and rohnert park and were thrilled they opened in San Rafael. Paradise sushi is amazing and was need in Marin! They brought new variety to downtown SR. It's the only all you can eat sushi restaurant here in Marin and personally my favorite in the Bay area. My boyfriend and I usually stick with the all you can eat menu , and usually order a variety of Nigiri's. They recently changed up their menu, now also offering appetizers for their AYCE option.
