Terrible customer service. I was ordering pizza for my office and their sides were $3-4/Side. When I asked for a discount because there wasn't any quantity nor did they dry the items off. The entire pizza cost $150 and it was soggy! Shame on you. We loved our first time there but look at your # of stars (THREE?) You should be so busy that people have to call ahead weeks in advance but you have no heart and no compassion. No business sense for customer service. The waitress who waited on me when I came in to talk to someone who was a manager actually laughed at me and asked me why I ordered so many sides. "Cause I wanted them" I said I thought you'd know create a masterpiece that was perfect--without being a soggy mess. We had to FRY it in a skillet and our office is just across the highway. 0.1 mi. My party of four had an absolutely wonderful experience at Paradisos in Soldotna, AK! From start to finish, everything was flawless. Our server, Nico, was an absolute joy -- warm, friendly, and such a wonderful person to talk to. He made us feel welcome and taken care of the entire evening. As for the food... wow. Every single dish was incredible! Between the Greek, Italian, and Mexican options, our table tried a little of everything, and not one of us had a single complaint. Every bite was full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and served fresh. The restaurant itself was very clean, well maintained, and with a wonderful atmosphere that made the whole dining experience even better. If you're in Soldotna and want a dining experience that truly hits every note -- amazing food, warm atmosphere, and service that leaves you smiling -- Paradisos is the place to go. We will absolutely be back! Was seated in bar and ordered within 15 minutes of being seated Waited over 1 and a half hours and only had our wine refilled only twice in that time and never had our waters refilled ! Our party of 4 got up to leave and I informed the bartender of our decision. Asked for the bill and then listed to the owner I assume , completely dress down this bartender in front of the entire bar and other patrons ! Unfortunately, as with many restaurants on the peninsula, the quality is slipping. This used to be one of my favorite places, but it's definitely not what it was. Gyro was good, but they have cut back on the meat, and tomato's. Most likely due to cost, and logistics. My coworker is meat only, the menu says 1/2 burgers, so he ordered 2. No way on any planet were those 1/2 lb. Maybe if they started life as 60/40. He ended up asking for 2 more burger patties, with pepper Jack, and jalapeños. No pepper Jack, and the jalapeños are canned. read more

Bartender has awful customer service, not even a smile. Drinks are slow as molasses (only 6 people total in bar area), food is equally outdated, overcooked and under seasoned. Had a halibut dish and after removing a laaayer of sauce, found it to be big part of the problem. No seasoning! Salad is sub par (portions getting smaller) potatoes are days old and the only good thing was the bread sticks. Over priced for the under performance. read more

Food was good. We went late on Mother's Day, around 7pm. We ordered prime rib and Greek chicken. Ample portions, I had left over chicken. The baked potato could have been warmer. Service was a little off, we may not have gotten the Mother's Day special as advertised, due to a staff change covering for waitress sent home, that's ok. I love Paradisos. We have been coming here most my life. My fiancé proposed here. The food is always excellent, most the staff are wonderful and provide excellent service. The owners seem like they care and have really stepped it up the last few years. They were one of the few restaurants that stayed pretty consistent throughout Covid. Nice ambiance, pretty expensive for the quality, but decent food and a great selection for this little town! We were visiting from San Diego and looking for a nicer place to eat that offered a variety of menu items and drinks, and some sports to watch on the tv, so this was just the ticket. Our table was able to have steak, Italian, Greek food, and pasta, and there was a great football game on! A very solid choice! Hey, this surprised us because when you go to a restaurant with this vast of a menu, most of the time nothing is spectacular. Also, it always raises my hackles when a restaurant combines or has more than one "lane": this claims to be a Mexican, Greek and Italian food... We were very skeptical to say the least. The space was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable. We met a group of people for a business dinner. They initially sat us in the main dining area. They then approached us to offer a back room that was more private and quiet. It was very considerate of them. My husband had the Scampi de la Casa. It wasn't the best shrimp dish he's ever had, but he thought it was good. He can be a food snob, so I was impressed he ate it and liked it ;) I contemplated between the chicken Marsala and chicken fettuccine arrabiata. I'm not a fan of potatoes, so I finally settled on the chicken fettuccine arrabiata. It was actually very delicious. As a frame of reference, the pasta dish I ordered was way better than anything I've ever gotten at Olive Garden.... not that the Olive Garden is spectacular. The garlic bread that came out with the dinners didn't look as appealing as most restaurant's, but was surprisingly excellent. My husband got a salad with his dinner, and was tasty. I had a lemon, chicken rice soup, which was equally good. Yes, we would go back and try other dishes if we are ever in the area again. Server was super sweet and friendly. Fantastic food. Halibut fish and chips were excellent, pasta was great, pizzas were our favorite (especially the crust). And salads are huge ; I recommend the Greek. Also had a great waitress, she was very attentive. For a table of 16 we had everyone very happy with their meal so giving this five stars. My only recommendation was the ambiance, I would invest a bit more it felt a little old inside, but kind of didn't matter ultimately given how good to food and service were. read more

Came here around 3 on a Sunday, our waitress ignored us until we told her we were ready to order. My parents ordered two "tap" beers that came out 3/4ths full. When asked why not fill them all the way up they said they use cans not tap like listed. Waitress didn't speak a word to us nor check on us the whole time. This place used to be great now it just sucks. My spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs had lots of water in it and same with my salad. The meatballs had an overpowering spice in it and it was just horrible. Way to expensive for the quality of the food... Also I don't think this place has heard of salt before. It had been a while since I had been back here. After my visit I quickly was reminded why. It took 10 minutes for someone to realize that my fiancé and I were standing waiting to be seated. The place wasn't busy, maybe ten people were sitting and eating. Finally after being recognized we sat and ordered. I ordered the seafood linguini and my man ordered the chicken Gorgonzola fettuccine. The fettuccine came with soup or salad and we had to ask for some like it was an inconvenience to the waitress. A couple minutes later she came back and told us that the fettuccine meal doesn't come with soup or salad and she had asked the manager if we could have salad. She replied with a no. My fiancé and I sat staring at each other saying "did that just happen?" so he got up and looked at the special menu on the front desk board where the chicken Gorgonzola fettuccine was and it said on the bottom SERVED WITH SOUP OR SALAD! After the waitress came back to our table my fiancé said " your board says this meal comes with a salad , so I want a salad" we ended up getting the stupid salad that we had to fight them over with. He ordered balsamic dressing and they gave us a crusty jar of straight balsamic vinegar to go with the watered down salad. The Gorgonzola chicken fettuccine turned out to be very good. I had the seafood linguini which was a very bad plan. It was straight garlic with what seemed to taste like can of chopped clams thrown on the top along with three measly shrimp. I only ate a few bites them picked off of my fiancé's plate because I was so hungry. After a 40 dollar bill and terrible food service we both plan to never go back. Next time we will stick to Louie's where we usually always go but they had a private party going on. When I eat out I like the service to be good along with the food. Recently, I ordered a pizza from here for delivery. After an hour and a half the pizza still hadn't been delivered which was extremely disappointing especially considering since we live less than a couple of miles from the restaurant. We were irritated and tired of waiting so we called to cancel our order and decided to order from elsewhere. When we called they didn't offer an apology, explanation or anything. Expecting your customers to wait for over an hour and half for a pizza is absolutely ridiculous. I would have been more understanding if it had been a Friday or Saturday night, but this was a Monday night. When the restaurant didn't bother to apologize for the long wait time, I decided it that would be the last time I ordered from here. Called one location that was too small and not available on the date we need. They recommended Paradisos! I hung up on the b***h! I try to explain to her what we are looking for and she interrupts me with "lunch or dinner???" So I keep explaining to her, starting over, that we are simply looking for a venue to host our event and nees to know: can we bring food or do we have to order from your restaurant, what is the cost of just the space compared to the space plus food, how much ... as she interrupts me again "wait wait wait wait wait" and then talks to me s l o w l y like im a child "we are a restaurant. We serve food. We would NEVER allow you to bring outside food in to our RESTAURANT" So tried explaining to her ... OTHER restaurants with SPACE TO RENT has a room fee OR free room if you purchase X amount in food. Her response? "We are a restaurant? We dont do that HERE!" Enough snide and belittlement. We can all agree that the italian/greek thing has been done to death. I cant say that it is different here, but I can say I believe it is improving. Could it be there is fresh blood behind the stove at Paradisos? Thats a metaphor for "new cook" Sick, sick people Paradisos is commonly viewed as a "tried and true" place to eat in Kenai. You know what to expect and you know it will usually be delicious. It does seem like they are trying to revamp the menu, but I havent noticed any major changes. As some might say, why mess with a good thing? Lets face it, there are not many choices in this town and if you want to go out, try not to go in the summer when they are slammed with tourists. Youll get better service, which counts for a lot at this place. Dont be afraid to order items not on the menu; the kitchen is usually very accomodating. read more
