I don't even think that Paragon Dentistry deserves 1 star. They overcharge their patients and schedule them for appointments that are entirely unnecessary. I visited them to get an annual cleaning. They only cleaned my bottom half and told me I had to come in for a deep cleaning because my top half was in such terrible shape. The typical cleaning for my bottom half was the most painful experienced I've ever endured in any dentist office visit. And when I told the dentist that it was painful, he told me that it was my fault for not taking care of my teeth. I deemed it absolutely unnecessary to have to go under anesthesia for a teeth cleaning. After consulting with them, they told me it was 100% absolutely necessary that I get a deep cleaning. Hello... it's my teeth and my money... I'm going to pay for whatever treatment I prefer. My dad also had a terrible experience with them, having his filling come out multiple times. After the third or fourth visit to get his filling repaired, my dad complained. Afterwards, Paragon Dentistry sent a letter to my family, stating that they would no longer take any of our family members as patients because we didn't trust his knowledge and expertise. What a nasty and unprofessional thing to do. It's obvious that this practice overcharges their patients because their waiting room and treatment rooms are full of flat screen TV's (on the walls and ceilings). They even have a marketing video on their website. It's obvious that this practice has enough money to waste on pointless things like this. Overall, I would highly recommend NOT to visit this dentistry. Some of the technicians and staff were friendly, but the business needs to understand how to treat their patients with RESPECT instead of presenting them with a "my way or the highway" egotistical type of attitude. read more

My previous dentist had performed my first fillings for me about a year ago. Up until now I had no basis for comparison. I am not one to leave reviews but Dr. Jason Hui did such a wonderful job I had to share! He took the time to explain everything in detail and answer all my questions. I learned a lot of new things regarding long term preventative care that no other dentist had shared with me before. My previous fillings had left me unable to chew on one side of my mouth and in a lot of pain for up to a month. Not only did Dr. Jason Hui fix some of the previous botched fillings but I had no pain whatsoever. As promised, I was eating lunch an hour after I had my new fillings done. Tammy was wonderful, engaging, and very pleasant!!! I am excited to have FINALLY found my long term "go to good dentist", which unfortunately seems rare these days. He really is an honor to his craft and takes pride in his work. Also, some of the new fillings could have easily been crowns or root canals (which is what my last dentist told me I needed) but Dr. Jason Hui is about the quality and integrity of his work and his main priority is keeping his patients/clients for the long term NOT about the size of your dental claim bill to your insurance company for that visit. Recently my husband and I were in need of a new dentist, I had occassion to meet a dental hygenist named Hope, who shared about the new dental practice she was working at in Allen, she noted they offer free in office whitening to new patients. she had me from the word "free"! We had our first visit yesterday and from the moment we walked in we were impressed, first Tammy the office manager greeted us by name, stood and shook our hands and explained a couple of steps. She noted Hope would be taking care of me and Dr. Hui would see to my husband. Hope promptly came to greet me before my tush could hit the chair. She was extremely friendly, polished and knowledgeable. She completed my xrays, perio charting and cleaning, all while making sure the TV channel was were I wanted it and offered me a paraffin treatment while she cleaned my teeth. Finally, Dr. Hui came in and was very warm and friendly. He exhibited such sincere concern for my well being and health I was pleasantly surprised. Meanwhile, my husband was lounging in their state if the art massage chair while we finished. Tammy again wrapped up our visit and off we sent. Overall, I have to stay it's been the best dental experience we've had, I've already begun to refer everyone I know, so if your in the market for a new dentist, please visit Paragon Dentistry in Allen, you'll be just as pleasantly swept away in your dental experience as we were!l read more

Tammy is such a sweet lady! She was so great at trying to schedule and appointment for my husband and I, working around his schedule is hectic. Tammy called and let us know the amount we would have to pay before going in, once I made it to the office she was just as sweet! She is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable the moment you step in their office. My dental hygienist was AMAZING, she was great at explaining everything going on, she was great to talk to. She definitely puts you at ease through the whole process. I feel so bad but I dont remember if her name is Jessica or Jackie :/ Either way it seems most their staff is great! Dr. Hui was also great, he came in and explained to great detail why I could be experiencing some jaw clenching, recommended a Sleep Study to make sure it wasn't due to any other issues before doing a mouthguard. First impressed me is the all e files I filled before appointment. When I got in the nice clean office, Tammy is smiling to me. My three year son is first time to see dentist with anxiety. But immediately he is attracted by the kids corner with Moria games. We had his teeth cleaned shinning white, my kid really like the room with two TV screens one is in the upper ceiling corner the other one is on top of ceiling with kids movie on. Dr. Hui explained us options of treating 14 cavities on 20 teeth. Even I know I will spend some $$ on my three years old son teeth after this initial examination, but I feel the professional treatment and my son's teeth or later my family teeth are in good dentist good hands. Of course, I can refer my friends for two movie tickets, plus my kid can pick up a toy from the treasury box even though no MONSTER TRUCK found. :). This was my first time visiting a dentist and I was very nervous and scared at first but the staff at Paragon Dentistry made sure my first time would not be frightening. They were very attentive and patient and they will cater to your problems and your needs. They will take their time to work on your teeth. Hope, their hygienest did a very good job in cleaning my teeth! Dr. Nelson was very kind and informative. He also checked back with his patients every now and then to make sure we were doing well. Tammy, their front desk receptionist was very sweet. The staff did a good job making me feel at ease since it was my first time. They really care for their patients! I don't like DENTISTS. I don't want to use the "h" word, but really... don't like going. However, unless you DON'T care about your teeth, you need to fix problems, maintain AND PREVENT future problems. I literally drive over an HOUR to come here, and even though I hate traffic more than anything else, I decided to give Dr. Nelson a try. I am VERY happy. Not only is the office clean (zen like), modern and the staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. Dr. Nelson helped me by (BELIEVE IT OR NOT), SAVED ME OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS! Instead of simply doing what every other dentist was recommending as the ONLY option, Dr. Nelson gave me SEVERAL options for my chipped tooth. I've been on the prowl for a forever dentist for a while now, for my husband and myself. Search no further people, this is it. Wait time is minimal, Tammy (front desk receptionist) is so sweet and friendly, very accommodating. If you have any fears of visiting the dentist, you may want to give this place a try! My hygienist was a delight, very easy to talk to and had genuine conversations with me. I'm not afraid of going to the dentist, so I don't know how it feels to be nervous about it, but I assure you its very calming here. Dr. Jason Hui came in, spoke with certainty and was very down to earth about it. I had another appointment the following week after my initial, and it was just as smooth as the first. I've never been so happy with a dentist and after a bad experience with two root canals and crowns at another dentist he had his work cut out for him. I was nervous about having anything else done at a dentist, but as soon I walked in his office I was happy and comfortable. It's a beautiful office with the best staff and the dentist are honestly there to provide you with the best care possible. I had a deep cleaning done and it does make a difference and my mouth is feeling much better. I'm scheduling to have my crowns redone the correct way and my whole family uses him now. Growing up with parents that did not have dentist visits at the top of their priority list created an aversion to regular checkups and a misguided 13 year delay in bringing my son to his very first visit. This was by far the very best visit I have ever had to the dentist. The receptionist was extremely friendly and efficient. My dentist Jason, was very personable, and took the time to explain what he was doing and made sure I was very involved in everything he did. He also was able to link signs of things that he found on my teeth to possible other things that could be happening in my body, and this is the first dentist to ever do something like that. Moved to TX in 12/2014 and was due for my semi- annual dental appointment. Asked co workers for a recommendation and no one had any. Looked up Paragon aka Dr Nelson and they had good reviews so I thought I would try them out. Loved them. Made me feel welcome and at ease. I was also able to get my husband who had no seen a dentist in several years to go in and they put him at ease. I would recommend this practice 100%. The front desk is efficient and polite, the dental hygienist that I had, Jacky was patient, knowledgeable and sweet, and Dr Jason went over my history and potential problem areas thoroughly. My last dentist said I needed 2 crowns and a filling. This dental practice prefers to wait and see and try methods to strengthen the enamel and gums before they resort to such drastic measures as a crown. So happy I found a decent practice! read more

The office staff and trained dental professionals have been awesome! Both doctors have professional, friendly and would dumb down my treatment so I could clearly understand what was going on. My sons, one 4.5 and one 3.5, got their cavity filled by Dr. Neilson. This is their first dentist visit. I expected them to cry and tell me how pain it is because I never want to see dentist when I was a child. But, the boys told me that they want to see the dentist again. There the dental hygienist would do the cleaning and the doctor would stop by for 5 minutes.Here I was surprised that the doctor took the time to do the cleaning. Where do I start? Oh yea Ms. Tammy up front. She is so nice, she found my sports channel on the lobby TV and on my second trip remember me. The assistance and Dr was outstanding.
