Hosted a 30th birthday party on May 20th. Paragon doesn't disappoint! Abundance of food and they will work with you for a menu that you want. Sliders, Quesadillas, Spring Rolls, Balsamic Chicken Skewers, Margarita Pizza, Wings everything was delicious! The craft beer selection was great and they make great margaritas! Came on a Wednesday on a whim. Very nice looking place on the inside. We sat in the bar area at a high top table and the waitress immediately came over and told us the happy hour specials. There were four $4 craft brew options and some apps as happy hr specials. We both ordered $4 Dog Fish Punkin. Very good! The $6 calamari special was pretty good too. A little overly breaded and greasy. Next up were our meals. I ordered the chicken BLT and husband ordered the turkey burger. My BLT was good but the bread got a little soggy. Husband loved the turkey burger. The fries were really good! Wednesday also happened to be martini night so I switched to martinis after my happy hour beer. They are fairly small but I really enjoyed the speakeasy one. When we got the bill we realized our waitress rang up our $4 happy hr beers for $6 each. I then realized she didn't include one of my martinis. It kind of evened out so we didn't say anything but once she took our card she exclaimed how she didn't charge me for a martini but it's ok she'll leave it. I didn't bring up how she overcharged us for the beers though so pretty much the bill would have been the same. Pretty funny. Located in the back parking lot of Target, off of central avenue lies a hidden gem. The beer tap bar menu was lacking unfortunately. There was Not enough wheat beer but otherwise the bar was well decorated. Music was good and atmosphere was lively. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They allow you to taste some of the beers before you order and provided recommendations. Looks like they have a good happy hour menu that consists of $5 martinis $15 pitchers of sangria ... And more. First off, I've been to Paragon twice and both times had the good fortune to have Lauren as our server - she is wonderful. Friendly, knows the menu, and comes by with perfect timing (not when you have a mouthful!). Cocktail and beer menu has great options. Food is a blend of fancier fork and knife fare and casual burgers/fork free items. Ambiance of the dining room is faux-fancy and there is a good amount of space between tables, but can get loud when it's full. The menu had a mix of meat, seafood, and a few veggie items. They were able to substitute the meat in a paella for more aquatic critters. Great place for a date or a celebratory dinner. read more

(especially knowing that my friends are very picky) the manager was very welcoming and kind, basically very professional! btw, most of the photos on the yelp reviews is not updated, they change their menu while ago. however, the downfall: they don't do anything special for birthday and their "famous Oreo mouse" doesn't taste good. Been here plenty of tines before but tonight was truly excellent. Sat outside as now required but surprisingly nice outdoor area especially for the location. Friendly, attentive service and excellent food. My wife and I shared the Shrimp Ceviche and Lobster and Corn Fritters. Both excellent but the fritters are an absolute must try. Then she had the Ribeye. Wow. I had the Wild Boar burger with vegetable risotto. Again the Boar Birger is unique (boar with bacon and pineapple). The risotto was also excellent (subbed for fries). Only complaint. Too many great drafts with too high of an ABV for the drive (a Carton cream ale at 13% - once we feel comfortable in an Uber again). ;) read more

Came on a Saturday night with 7:30pm reservations. Thankfully we made reservations because it was packed! Once we were sat, it took about 5 min for a waiter to bring water to us. However, our waitress was especially considerate and personable! To start, we each ordered a red blend glass of wine ($8) and delicious! It's the only red blend on the menu and a perfect semi-sweet red wine if you're looking for something not too dry and not too sweet. For my entree I ordered the butternut squash ravioli without the duck demi since I do not consume animal products. This was so delicious although not extremely filling. For dessert we ordered the carrot cake- the best carrot cake I have ever had! It was deliciously soft and moist, and the icing was delectably semisweet and creamy. In total, the bill was $70 for two glasses of wine, two entrees, and one dessert. Not bad considering the food tastes fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back! read more

My husband and I had such an unnerving experience that we stormed out. And we don't tend to storm. We sat at the bar for some drinks and food midday on a Sunday (I prefer not to use the word brunch on the grounds that it might tend to invalidate my review), and the bartender barely made eye contact with us as he continued talking to fellow employees. This could all start to sound very privileged and uptight, so let me simply paint the picture from a perception standpoint...we aren't hard to please. We don't care if someone is gruff or opinionated or having a bad day, we are cool with real people and far prefer that over facade. But if you don't dignify our presence and then you throw brunch menus at us when we ask for them, without looking up, and then gregariously greet another patron who JUST sat at the bar, we're not going to $&%#ing stay and give you our money. My husband was so mad he just left, but I thought it would be more productive to tell the hosts and owner that "the bartender is completely apathetic." Because it's not their fault. My guess is that the guy labeled us as annoying hipsters since my husband was wearing green glasses and a newsboy cap...and while we also dislike hipsters, there is a huge distinction between them and jazz musicians. Booked a friend's 21st birthday here and it was a decent experience. The drinks were good and priced how drinks are usually priced. My friend who had the apple cranberry mojito really liked it (said she could barely taste the alcohol lol) and everyone who shared the pitcher of sangria liked it- the pitcher is $28 and serves about four glasses. Quick shoutout to Paragon for serving Lagunitas in NJ- my inner Bay Area girl appreciates it!! The food, while good, was fine/OK for how it was priced. I had a chicken sandwich and it was $15, some of my friends ordered fish or pork tacos and just three tacos cost them $18. Like, the food was pretty good but it was definitely on the pricier side. One thing I'll say- the boardwalk fries that come with some sandwiches and with the burgers were delicious- crispy on the outside and so so soft on the inside. The service was attentive and patient with our large group. They let us bring balloons which was nice, but there is a $2/person cake cutting fee if you bring your own cake so we ended up just having cake and a friend's house lol. read more

The beer list here - draft and bottle - is redonk! The variety of juicy IPAs and DIPAs from SingleCut and Industrial Arts kept this hophead buzzin all night long. Friendly bartenders added to the great experience. Ordered calamari and voodoo wings to soak up the alcohol. While they have traditional wing flavors, voodoo sauce -- a sweet and spicy asian style glaze -- is what they are known for. Solid, elevated bar food that pairs nicely with all the craft beers. I've been here twice now and I haven't been disappointed yet. The first time I came here was with some girlfriends for dinner. The dining room was pretty full but we were seated right away. Our server read us their specials and was very knowledgeable of the menu, which is always a plus, especially when it's my first time trying a restaurant and I ask the server what they'd recommend. I was sold when our server told us about a slider burger trio they had along with their seven dust dry rub wings. She even named all seven seasonings! Both were incredible. I'm not usually a fan of dry rub wings but the seven seasonings were paired perfectly. The burgers were also very tasty. The second time I visited was more recent and was for dinner in Cinco de Mayo. The dining room was pretty empty but the bar area was pretty full. They had some specials also. I really wanted to highlight the service. It seemed like the person who sat us may have also been a floor manager because he was walking around attentively and asked everyone if we were all doing ok and how we liked the food. I even saw him pour some glasses of what seemed like maybe whiskey to a larger party. He was very friendly and fun and just gave off a great genuine vibe. Our server was also super nice and quick. I'd recommend this place for sure. They have a large outdoor patio with what looked like heating lamps so I'd imagine this would be a nice place for a summer lunch or dinner. read more

I stopped in Paragon on a Saturday afternoon for some post-shopping drinks. We were a group of 3 and easily got a table in the bar area. The staff was friendly and I really liked the set up of the restaurant. We drank a few different types of beer and the champagne was pretty reasonably priced at $7 a glass. I wanted to like this place a lot more than I did. We ordered the "deconstructed" nachos which was just sour cream, tomatoes, guacamole and cheese in a bowl. it wasn't mixed or layered like a traditional taco dip. I cAme here tonight with my fiancé for dinner . We requested to sit outside because it was a beautiful evening . We were seated by the friendly hostess and our order was taken in a timely fashion . We both ordered jack and cokes they were good , nothing to write home about but for what they were , the alcohol to coke ratio was on point . I ordered the crab cake entree with the cous cous . The crab cake was plentiful with sweet and meaty crab ! Also the cous cous was flavorful and buttery . My fiancé ordered the fillet mignon. Unfortunately , his wasn't cooked medium rare , not much pink to be seen ! also he had asked our server for another drink and she never came back for it . In fact she basically ignored us the entire meal until we had to get the manager ( I'm guessing ) attention to get the drink and dessert menu . She apologized but it still wasn't great service on her part . A lot of the servers seemed confused when it came to serving the outside diners . We are always happy visiting Paragon! We love both their beer and food menus! Sometimes we are overwhelmed with what to try, and have been satisfied every time with our choice. The chef has wonderful creativity and creates wonderful flavors. We always enjoy our meal here! Would love to try the brunch, but when looking at the menu it seems pretty generic. With the regular dinner menu to compare it to, the items seem to be typical breakfast items. We would love to see some of the chef's creativity shine in their brunch! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for some time now and finally made it the other night. The place looks great but I have very mixed feelings about the visit. We wanted to sit at the bar so I could watch the yankee game, they kindly warned us that it was trivia night and we probably won't want to sit by the speaker. I didn't think this would bother me but once it started it was very loud even though we sat at the other end, and I'm glad my son wasn't with is as he was cursing a bit. They did warn me though, I could have sat outside. Service was good and we ordered some cocktails that were very good. As we waited for our food I noticed fruit flies around my drink. I happened to look up and saw that there were 3-4 dozen of them on the back wall where we sat. It was pretty vile. I couldn't sit there so I moved to the other side of the bar (closer to the speaker). The food finally came and everything was tasty. The pizzetta was especially good. I would try this place again if they got rid of the fly problem, but probably not on trivia night. read more
