What a hidden gem in downtown Cheyenne! Once you step inside, you will feel like you are in a classy Gatsby-esque lounge (even though there is no dress code and we were wearing jeans and t-shirts lol). See my pictures, though, because this place has got it going on. And the drinks are absolutely delicious. I loved my "the time the place & the girl" featuring creamy yet refreshing flavors of coconut and cucumber. It reminded me of a drink I can no longer get at Social in Fort Collins Colorado and at a better price. My husband ordered a smoked old fashioned followed by a double Eagle Rare neat. We had a fantastic time at this craft cocktail bar! The servers Kirsten and Amber were so sweet, and we enjoyed speaking with them when they had a few minutes to chat! By far the coolest bar in Cheyenne, with a really neat décor & atmosphere, and they have cook non-alcoholic drinks as well!

We visited the Paramount Ballroom on NYE as part of a private event. The service was tremendous, even with a full house someone was always by to check if we needed anything, the owner came around multiple times to check in and make conversation, and the staff accommodated a couple of specialty drink asks. While we had an open bar with our tickets, looking at the menu the drinks are on the higher end of what I would expect to pay in Cheyenne but not outrageous. The interior is clean and comfortable as well. The only drawback is that Paramount Ballroom seems to focus on specialty cocktails and as a result didn't have common spirits (I.e. Captain Morgan, Bacardi, Jack Daniel's, etc.) so not ordering one of their specialty drinks is almost impossible unless you want to drink beer. ( and there again you are subject to the few specific brands they carry none of which are commercial brands) On a regular night, I don't think Paramount ballroom is somewhere that I would hang out all night long, but it certainly exists as a great stop somewhere in the night to break up the monotony of regular bars. The first time coming here was so natural and so classy! It's a great place to be! Never tried the food items they have on the menu because my fiancé doesn't like artichoke dip! But I love it! Give it a shot and let me know! I have brought a couple of my girl friends here and it has been nothing but wonderful! We are now regulars here! Such a great reward after our 10+ hours on the road today. Cocktails...you can get pretty much anything you want and they try to utilize spirits from Wyoming in their hand-crafted cocktails as much as possible. We started with the Sweet Lavender and The Lion and the Mouse. (Check photos for menu shots of ingredients). Both were delicious. Nice pours on the alcohol. Followed up with the Super Saiyan and a Ringleader Vodka prepared Up with a twist. Again...excellent cocktails. I will say that this was the last night of their "spring" cocktail menu, so when you come, you may not see these exact selections. We ordered brussels sprouts, burrata, shishito peppers and deviled eggs. Sadly the deviled eggs were out (truly saddened by this) but we substituted artichoke dip. The sprouts had a deep, rich, savory flavor. The burrata was good...would like the bread grilled but that's a personal preference. The shishitos had togarashi and lemon, which was really good, but it was a bit too spicy for me so I could only eat three...hubby ate most of them. And the artichoke dip, which includes chevre, was super creamy and flavorful. We wandered next door while waiting for the meal to check out their coffee place, because it's connected via the back. It's a great space as well, and there's artwork in the common space between the "ballroom" and the coffee shop. Ended up buying some ground coffee for taking with us. Lots of young people here...really enjoyed the space and the vibe. And the service is top-notch friendly. Love this place. First time here and if you know Cheyenne, certainly not a typical find. We met a great couple traveling to Reno who were equally as shocked. We enjoyed the space tremendously. Apparently they have a great coffee bar in the morning too. Warning, the menu is 100% vegetarian. I had the deviled eggs which were great but different. The hint of Tabasco/Sriracha was perfect. My husband was not as big of a fan so I just ate the rest for us. The cocktail menu is unique if that is your think. Bartenders seem friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely stop in if you find yourself in town. They open between 3 and 4 but are closed on Sunday and Monday. You won't be upset. read more

It's about time Cheyenne have a place where a bartender can actually make a decent cocktail without making it from a mix! This is long over due in this town. The drinks are tasty and refreshing. Absolutely the best cocktails I've had in this town. The food is also delicious. We had the pretzel and found it to be made fresh and the chipotle aioli has just the right amount of spicy kick to it to be perfect. The artichoke dip is tasty, and the veggies are very fresh. We also had the burrata cheese and while the the tomatoes were very fresh, the balsamic glaze could have been a bit stronger in flavor and would be better if drizzled over the cheese and tomatoes rather than on the plate. The place has a wonderful ambiance and vibe but is very loud. I was there on a Friday and Saturday night and found both nights to be very loud. I would suggest putting up some kind of baffling, flags or something to deflect the noise. You could find something that would not take away from the look of the decor but could enhance it. It is hard to sit and have a conversation with the noise level. It sucks to have to sit there leaning forward over the table to hear other members of your party talking. It defeats the whole purpose of the cozy seating areas you guys have.It also make the background music pointless if you can't hear it. Kudos to you guy for doing a fabulous job. read more

This was my first time going to the ballroom and it was a wonderful experience. A friend and I each had one specialty cocktail and one mocktail for a total of four drinks. They were all delicious! The cocktail prices are $10-$12 and I wasn't sure if they would be worth the price, but let me tell you they do NOT skimp on the alcohol in their drinks. These cocktails were dangerously delicious. If you want to have a few you make sure you have a DD. We also had the pretzel and artichoke dip, again both were very tasty. The safe was nice and the atmosphere up class without being pretentious. We were there Sat night doing our valentines early, we were in hospitality and know what a s*it show the actual night is so...We were looking for a date night with a nice charcuterie and some spendy cocktails. So we came specifically here /and literally drove up from Ft Collins. So upset, they tried to shove us in this weird hallway alone. We tried to be okay with it, but the bartender was SO rude! There is no sign on the door that they are 21+ and they were maybe at an eighth if not less occupancy (aka empty bar, maybe one table). We were told they do not allow kids and we could sit in the hallway. We would have honestly been okay with this if there was any sense of kindness or care, but the slick haired bartender who helped us made us feel embarrassed for even asking. Needless to say we left the basically empty restaurant with our awesome 7mnth old and went to Blue Raven Brewery where we enjoyed a warm welcome and a confused stare when we asked if it was okay if we had our kid, heck yes they said...oh they had live music too!!! I went to a place similar to this in Chicago and then found one in Ft. Collins. I'm totally jazzed to have a chill spirits bar in my back yard. Loved the atmosphere, the staff was great, and my old fashioned was perfect. The only thing that would make it better would be some live bluesy jazz music and dimmer lighting. Jon and Renee are setting the food and entertainment standard for Cheyenne. I stop in from time to time and met a friend and colleague for a drink. My friend Barbara is now into Manhattans. I haven't had one since I was in Manhattan - New York, not Kansas - and tried this one chilled and up. Pretty good for $8. They serve mostly beer and spirits brewed and distilled in Wyoming, which is unique. We also split up a mound of olives and a cheese board snd got out of there after a couple drinks for $60. Not that busy for a Wednesday, but it gets hopping on Friday afternoon. read more

Very disappointing. Food took over an hour. When it did arrive it was not very hot and one meal was completely forgotten about. The poached eggs were NOT cooked -- see photo. 2 stars because the Chilaquiles were good. I love martini bars and was really excited when the Ballroom opened, especially since The Suite closed down. The atmosphere is classy, yet relaxed, and definitely something Cheyenne could use more of. The wait staff has attentive and professional each time we're there, and willing to make drinks not on the menu. Just a couple things...... I wish the martini glass would be filled all the way; each time it's only 3/4 full. Not to compare, but at the Albany and the Suite, the same drinks are filled to the brim, for the same price. Another suggestion - and again, just comparing to the places around town serving the same drinks, there's a bit too much simple syrup and not quite a full shot in the drinks. I'm extremely sensitive to both sugar and alcohol, and it's fairly easy to notice the difference. That said, having managed food service entities myself, my first inclination when a customer "suggests" things or complains is to assure them that we follow standard procedure. It might be worth looking into, though........ I want to support this business, the price-point is fine for us, and I really want to have this be a favorite place. Hopefully, making those minor adjustments will draw even more people. read more
