Dr. Beroukhim is a truly great Orthodontist. He is professional, knowledgeable, kind, approachable and funny. Our daughter (13) just got her braces off and her teeth look amazing. I am absolutely appalled by this dental office. It feels as though dental and medical care has shifted from patient health to simply filling the pockets of mediocre individuals who happen to hold licenses. I contacted this office because I am dealing with a painful broken crown. After calling several different locations, I chose this one because they told me specifically to come in for a same-day tooth extraction. Once I arrived, they took X-rays and pictures. I was then seen by an orthodontist who tried to sell me braces or Invisalign; I declined. When the dentist finally arrived, she performed a perfunctory exam and insisted I needed a cleaning and various other procedures, yet she refused to extract my tooth that day. When I explained that her staff had promised the extraction would happen during this visit, she simply said, 'Talk to my staff,' and rudely walked away. The staff then returned and denied that any such promise was made. They proceeded to present me with a list of recommended work and the associated co-payments. I reiterated that I wanted to start with the extraction and asked for the dentist's availability. The staff member returned only to tell me the dentist would not see me at all. She denied me emergency dental care simply because she couldn't profit from me in the way she intended. This office seems used to taking advantage of vulnerable patients. It is unfortunate that this is the state of the world. Please stay alert and learn how to navigate these systems. I have already contacted my dental insurance provider to file a formal grievance. I will take this as far as necessary to ensure this doesn't happen to others. This behavior is not only inhumane--it borders on insurance fraud. Let me make this clear Jonathan, your dentist DENIED me care even for future visits. She said she REFUSED me over all! Sounds like you need to talk to them. Like, why would I even called your office if I was literally kicked out. Is that best practice for you? Also if I'm coming in solely for a tooth extraction why would an orthodontist see me first and offer care to a part of my mouth I'm not concern with? After getting a referral to this dentist from someone I had seen for years I couldn't believe what terrible care I received here. Gave two stars because at least the front desk was friendly. First thing the dentist did was tell me I needed a orthodontics consult, I tried to explain getting braces wasn't why I was there but he brought the braces expert in anyhow who also agreed I am not even a candidate due to my implant. Following that, I felt the whole time I was being uncharged for services without being explained why. When I declined some, my cleaning was rushed, and not done as well as other cleanings I've had in the past. Worst dentist experience I've had to date. I HATE giving bad reviews and bringing any business down but god, my experience with this place was very bad. They were very unethical! Their fillings are also VERY VERY BAD. Details below: I did X-rays and everything needed to see which teeth needed fillings. They NEVER mentioned a root canal until they drilled almost my whole teeth out to say that they can't do filling on that teeth and I HAVE to do a root canal. I paid for fillings already and was asking if I could just get fillings or if not, a refund since I cannot afford a root canal right now. They said NO. They cannot do fillings nor give me a refund, unless I get a root canal and they will deduct the refund from the new root canal quote. I still did not agree because AGAIN I cannot afford it. They left me walking out with a BIG HOLE in my teeth that they drilled. Now I ACTUALLY need a root canal. That's what I mean by unethical. My experience with fillings: the lady who did my fillings was VERY rude. She said my teeth is "fucked up" in front of my face (because I got a few cavities). She's not gentle AT ALL. Not sure if it was the material they use or she did not do a good job with the fillings but ever since I got fillings done there, my teeth are very sensitive to anything hot/cold or even water and it's been very painful. I went back to get the fillings looked at and explained the situation. All she did was drill some of the fillings and gave me flouride to put in for a couple days. It has never gotten better. Even now, they're still super sensitive and I haven't been eating good either. Anyways.. Will be going to a new dentist and NEVER coming back. I wouldn't recommend coming to this place if you don't want to waste your time and money. Not to mention, the pain you have to go through! read more

I went in to get service and was judge harshly about oral condition even began laughing at me not only that they did a filling and turned out to get infected ! Ended up hospitalized because of the infection and the medicine they prescribe was the wrong medication I had chest pain for days These people obviously cut corners to get where they are at ! 0/10 don't recommend this dentist at all. read more

My daughter came to get her cavities filled she was already scared so she starts crying the whole time the dentist is telling her not to cry 'don't cry or you'll be here until the night time' definitely something you shouldn't keep repeating to a 9 year old! I personally looked for different dentist before feeling comfortable enough to bring my daughter here for her first visit when she was about 2-3. My daughter is now turning 6 in July and she just LOVES her dentist hahah , she does go with the specialist for children and the Dr is simply wonderful. There was a time we made an appointment and saw the other Dr and he was just as amazing and gentle with my babygirl, she feels comfortable and safe and always feels happy to know she's going to her check up because she can get a small toy afterward hahah. Evelyn in the front has always been so kind and helpful , I have personally never had an issue at this dental office and I really admire how good they are with my daughter because yes I am a helicopter mom and will stand for what's not right but thankfully this whole staff has been nothing but respectful, professional and we simply adore them (: My daughter likes her specialist so much she started flossing because of her (: no cavities ever had here! seriously , they're great with kids here ! read more

This location is where I take my kids (5&7), and let me tell you! They have been so fantastic to me and especially my kids. I struggle to get my kids to brush properly, so we have had to have a few procedures, but they are so awesome here. My anxious son isn't even bothered by it. Which helps this anxious momma even more! The care here is great! Fantastic dentists, fantastic staff. Friendly, they don't make you feel bad about your teeth, and they try to work with you. They go above and beyond. Thank you! Today was my first appointment at this dental office as a new patient. First things first, Henna and Elena were very welcoming and helpful. Secondly, the dental assistant who worked with me was very kind and patient. Although the cleaning process was a bit rough for me, I did appreciate her acknowledging the few moments I felt some sensitivity/pain during the cleaning. The only concern I had today was the communication I had with Dr.Lina. She was kind when she greeted me, but then when I addressed some of the sensitivity/pressure that I've felt lately in my upper right teeth when I bite down, she at first thought that I was confused, which is something that I've never heard a dentist tell me. And when I tried to clearly explain things and tried to figure out along with her what the issue may be, or tried my best to answer her questions, it was hard for me not to feel insecure or intimidated. I wasn't sure if I annoyed her, or if it was just a long morning at the office. Or maybe I just need to get to know her better. I was already trying not to have some nerves with transitioning to a new dental office, especially after having uncomfortable experiences with the previous dentist I've visited. The last impression I ever want to give a dentist is that I'm an annoying patient or something. I'm hoping my second appointment will be better. read more

I've been coming here on / off for 2 years and every time I think I should find something closer to me (they're 30 mins out of my way), I find myself back in there. I came back this time to get a second opinion (turns out I didn't need to get all this work done like my local place said). Everyone here is so professional from the moment you make an appointment on the phone (Evelyn's voice is kind and caring) to when you walk in and check in to the X-Rays to Dr. B. (he is super cool and you can't help but smile in his presence). I always leave feeling 110% cared for and not overwhelmed. They'll answer all your questions too without making you feel like an annoying idiot. I've been to dozens and dozens of dental offices in my life time and Paramount has maybe the BEST staff BEST bedside manner I've ever come across (at least in California). Other offices feel like they're trying to push their business down your throat and insist you need all this stuff done when you don't.
