We recently visited Paramount Theatre to watch Phantom of the Opera, and the theater itself was honestly part of the experience. The venue is stunning -- full of majestic arches, ornate architectural details, elegant balconies, and a grand old-theater atmosphere that immediately makes the evening feel special. Even before the performance starts, you already feel like you're having a real night out rather than just attending a show. The massive multi-tiered seating area is very impressive, yet the acoustics still felt excellent and immersive throughout the performance. One thing we especially enjoyed was spending time outside beforehand looking through the illuminated displays and posters for upcoming productions. It really builds anticipation and adds to the magical atmosphere of the evening. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child- The Temu Edition I attended the opening-night performance of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on August 22, 2026, and the experience was shockingly disorganized. Before the show, guests were stuck in endless lines that appeared to lead nowhere, while other lines less than 25 feet away reached the same destination. There was no useful signage and very little staff guidance explaining where anyone was supposed to go. Inside the theater, the sound quality was atrocious. Even from Section MF2, Row AA, I frequently could not understand what the performers were saying. Ushers also repeatedly moved through the theater using bright flashlights, creating constant visual interruptions. It became impossible to remain immersed in the show. I have previously seen Cursed Child in both London and New York, so I expected some differences from a touring production....This was not simply a smaller version, however. The performances and choreography seemed poorly synchronized, while the venue's sound and audience management made an already disappointing production even worse. I was so frustrated that I left before intermission. For the price of these tickets, patrons deserve substantially better organization, sound quality, and theater management. The touring production of The Phantom of the Opera at Paramount Theatre was absolutely fantastic. The cast was incredible, and the production itself deserved a much better audience environment than what the theater allowed. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst theater etiquette experiences I've ever had. During the first act, a man seated behind us repeatedly sang along during the performance. When I politely asked him to stop, the person next to him sarcastically pointed at the stage and said, "The show is over there," while the behavior continued. Around us, multiple people talked throughout songs and scenes, and later in the evening I even saw someone openly filming the show on an iPhone. I eventually had to leave my seats (Main Floor 2, Row G) and speak to management because the disruptions were so bad I couldn't focus on the performance. The only solution offered was seats in the very back of the orchestra. By that point, the experience was already frustrating enough that it took a while to calm down and enjoy the show again. What's most disappointing is that this is the SECOND time I've experienced terrible audience behavior at this theater. I previously saw Back to the Future here and dealt with nonstop talking during that performance too. I attend theater regularly in Southern California at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and also frequently see shows in New York City. Ushers there actively monitor audience behavior and quickly shut down disruptions. At the Paramount, it felt completely unmanaged. For the prices being charged -- around $350 for my tickets through Ticketmaster -- audience members should not have to deal with talking, singing, and filming throughout a Broadway performance. Came here with my friend, Chookerica, for her first ever metal concert. Got to see Poppy for our first times ever and she was such a great performer! Want to rate this place high because the bathrooms were plentiful and soooo clean. Such a regal experience with the venue looking so beautiful with the intricate etchings and decorations from the rooftop down to the carpeted floors. I just do not think this is a good metal show venue... not good for an event like this because security guards shutting down the crowd surfing and pushing attendees who went to do that. Also, no one here started the circle pits and followed the performer when encouraged to do a wall of death. This venue is really not the best place to host a metal show, but at least now we know? Super duper awesome lighting show, though. Shoutout to the light production staff because best that I have ever seen a metal show have in my life. Also, the bass was quaking and I really thank the sound production staff for making this show what it could be... even though not much bc the audience was just not it. read more

I came for a an orchestra concert here and had a great night. The acoustics are excellent -- dialogue and score came through clearly and evenly, which made the performance immersive. Seating is comfortable for a long show, with good sightlines from where I sat. I also enjoyed the outdoor areas -- nice spots to hang out before the performance and a pleasant pre-show atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. One improvement: there are no elevators, which can be difficult for those with mobility issues. read more

We drove to Seattle from Silverdale, and we were able to find parking close by, but no special theater only. We walked across the street and walked in quickly. Bags are allowed but get searched and no outside food unless for medical reasons. We found our seats and watched The Blue Man Group. I couldn't see well due to the person being tall in-front of me, but that's a short person problem. Should have gotten a booster seat, which they did have for kids. read more

I had the pleasure of seeing The Phantom of the Opera last night at the Paramount and omg, I sobbed the entire time. It was such a phenomenal show!! The staff here are extra awesome and helpful, and the building is so gorgeous!I will say though, lots of stairs, so if you need ADA seating, choose floor seats. My ticket was a "verified resale ticket" from Ticketmaster, and I paid $150 for one ticket in the 3rd Mezzanine. So be aware of resale prices. read more

The paramount is a lovely theatre. I have attended many shows here. The staff are always really nice and helpful. I am giving four stars because of the crowding of the restrooms. I feel they should have more staff to help facilitate the flow of the restrooms, especially the women's. Overall, they have great seating and great shoes. The concession choices are limited, but still good. The staff is always accommodating. I also love how they have some showings that are friendly for neurodivergent individuals. I love the historic charm of the building as well. I highly recommend it for a great show or even just a general tour. read more

So, I'm not sure as to how or why my previous post was removed, but I would like to reiterate, the theater as in the building itself, beautiful and ornate. The staff were great and getting in and out was easy. Originally I had given 3 stars but have since changed it to 2 after my review was taken down. The girl pop group we saw. STAYC was great and had good energy. However, the sound mixing was either done so poorly or too loud for the type of music. You could not even hear any of the girls live vocals and could barely hear the backing tracks outside of the booming bass. Bad acoustics. I feel bad for them as this was the first stop of their US tour after having not been in the states for two years. The other item of note was that the drink prices are astronomical. As stated in my previous review, a double call of Jamison was $36.00. Add on a can of IPA plus tip boom, that's $56. Highway robbery imo. My advice is pre-gaming is highly advisable. Will not be attending anymore events here. Would rather road trip to another stop to see someone playing here. read more

The Paramount Theater is timeless, from it's large sparkling marquee sign, to its stunning interior. This theater seats around 2,800 people and has hosted well-known musicals such as Hamilton and The Lion King. We've attended many musicals in this theater such as & Juliet, Book of Mormon, Wicked, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of the Opera, etc. We've always admired the french inspired interior and the quality acoustics. This theater has 3 levels of seating and no elevators. The theme death by stairs comes to mind. We've always selected the first mezzanine area for a better view of the stage. There are a couple of bar stations for general admissions. One is located on the main floor and the other is on the second floor. Sometimes they add an option to purchase VIP tickets which will have access to a dedicated VIP area that also has bar. The most important thing to remember when purchasing drinks is that you can take it inside the theater to consume. This is made possible with the use of their drink sip cups. These cups can also be taken home and reused for another event. Drink selections are fairly standard with some cocktails, wines, beers, soda, and water. They also offer snacks and candies. I recommend pre-ordering drinks to save time during intermission. Now for the most important question. Where are the restrooms? Buckle up for this mind boggling design detail. The main restrooms are located in the basement. There are a couple of ADA restrooms on the main floor under the staircase. The wait line to use the base restroom does get long, however it does move fast. Attendants are readily available to ensure the facilities are clean. Aside from these design quirks, this theater is a very well-maintained historical landmark. read more

We recently had our second trip to the Paramount, and it was as delightful as the first! My wife, son, and I went to see John Mulaney recently, and it was quite a delightful show. We were up pretty high in the second balcony, but still had a good view of the show. This is the sort of theater, where the higher up seats are closer to the "you get what you pay for" type seats than other places, we've been. This is a big enough theater that it does make a difference. Not a bad thing, just something to know. The acoustics here are lovely., And at least when a comedian is going, the sound is spot on. I will say, they've got the snacks and bar thing down. I think there were four total refreshment stations available across the number of different levels the lines moved quickly, and they had a good number of drink options, including alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages. I also appreciated the option of gummy bears! Everybody loves gummy bears! Unless you're communist. Then you probably like the sugar-free ones... Look up the review on Amazon! This is a classic Seattle theater venue, which brings good shows to Seattle. There is not much legroom however they have the seats well angled so that you can still see from behind folks. It still has some of its original architectural details, which is beautiful to see and takes you back in time. read more

My husband and I came here the other day to see the Lion King. It was my second time to this theater and it was as beautiful as I remembered. We parked at Pacific Place and walked over, which was only a couple of blocks away. The theater had sent an email saying to get there an hour early, and we arrived a little more than an hour before showtime. They opened doors at an hour before the show, but wouldn't let anyone down to their seats until 30 minutes prior so it was very crowded and chaotic inside. They have 2 bars, one right past where you enter and another off to the left between the merchandise stands. Food and drinks were pretty expensive (as expected) but at least they had a bunch of options. The show was fantastic and we had a great time. My only complaints were that the intermission was barely enough time to make it to the bathroom and back to your seat given the lines and crowd, and that they shouldn't tell you to get there an hour early but then not let you down to your seat until 30 minutes before the show. read more

Came here for The Lion King broadway musical on a Saturday night. The show started at 7:30 and it was pretty busy. They do a pretty good job with security and making sure people find their seats. The theatre itself is beautiful inside and out. No question about it. The staff were able to answer all major concerns I had as well. The 3 stars are for the ADA issues I had. This is not an accessible theatre. Be prepared. The ADA seating is in an area where it's shoved to the side. The bathrooms are also very limited for all wheelchair bound people. read more

I watched The Lion King here and it was good. The theater holds almost 3000 seats. There's some beautiful architecture on the ceiling. The theater is big and even when you're sitting at the highest part of the theater, you still have a decent view. Not sure if I missed any, but I wished there were water fountains scattered throughout the theater. There's a lot of production that is hosted here which is pretty cool. There's employees here seem nice. The sound production was good as well towards the top of the seating. read more

We went as a family to see the sensory free Lion King show and the show was spectacular. I loved that they had the therapy horse, handed out social narratives so that the kids knew what to expect, and seemed pretty neurodiverse friendly with the limited contact and assistance we had/needed from staff. The reason it's only 3 stars is the accessibility of the venue. It was a pretty building, but not in any way accessible. They promoted it as being more accessible and inclusive show, but it was only if you're able bodied, which is not what inclusion is. Plenty of people needing a sensory friendly show also need wheelchair access, have trouble walking, and other medical needs and this wasn't the place for it. The seats were pretty uncomfortable and not very spacious. My teens had a hard time with the lack of leg room and the kids behind me that had to wiggle didn't have room to either which meant kicking seats for 3 hours. (I'm definitely not faulting kids for being kids.) I would love to see more sensory friendly and truly inclusive musicals and other performances come to Seattle that are at an appropriate venue that can actually accommodate more disabilities and needs to be truly inclusive. read more

Seattle's Paramount Theatre has enjoyed a long and storied history, beginning with its grand opening as the Seattle Theatre in March of 1928. The Paramount Theatre has been around for almost a century, and it shows as of this review. It's also what I love about it. The winding stairways, the chandeliers, the sort of Opera architecture and decor and more really give the theatre a classic and opulent look regardless of what sort of performance is taking place here. The theatre really reminds me of a similar theatre I frequented back east that had similar upper deck seating, but for those who want to be front row for the performance there is standing room at the foot of the stage. For the particular show I went to, those folks and even a few on the upper levels were treated to interaction with Josh Lane, of The Sacred Souls - whom we went to see. It was great time here, and in addition to any show you catch here, the structure and architecture is awesome, be sure to take it in as you move about the venue. read more

She's a grand, old beauty. That means ornate structure, charm, character, and can be an intimate experience. I love concerts there for that fact. Things that might affect the experience, especially for the physically challenged, are things like no elevator. However, if you stick to the main floor, I think it is very manageable. However, restrooms are on another floor. Paramount does suggest if needed asking for assistance. A bar is available as well as canteen type snacks. There are a couple of eating establishments across the streets and the ever dependable hot dog vendors on the corners. There is often a parking add on available, but it is a couple of blocks away, so there will be a walk. Also, each time I've been here, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. All in all, I prefer it here to the titan stadiums events. read more

I've been here for a few shows, most recently Six with my wife and we had a really good time. Even sitting towards the very back, it never limits the view. With how great the venue, there are some work in progress ares that need attention. Mostly with the organization with staff. The simplest questions like where the nearest bathroom or concession shouldn't be that hard for an employee to locate. Organization for directing everyone to leave is awful, people being sent both ways creates much longer wait to exit. All in all, when booking to see an event. Came for a Piano Guys concert and they put on a really good show. Sound system in the theater is not as good as top concert venues but with under 3,000 seats it is a very intimate setting. Refreshed, but still limited. I've attended many shows here, including being "Broadway at the Paramount" subscriber twice. It's a charming venue, and of course live theater is always to be celebrated. But I'm just "meh" about this place. Entry and exit is cramped, and pushy people make it worse. One four person wide line self-sorts into five entry doors. With people ducking under the tiny ribbons they use for crowd control ropes. Pack your patience. Sightlines are fine if you are in front half of orchestra or front of balcony. Otherwise angles (too steep in balcony, too shallow on main floor) make for watching through people's heads. And I'm six feet tall! Sound mix can vary widely. We recently saw "Mama Mia" and the music was amped to over 90 DB at some points, drowning out vocals. We saw touring show of "Hamilton" several years ago and the vocals were so soft that I couldn't follow the lyrics while the music was lovely. Concessions and restrooms are a zoo. Best to avoid eating and "taking care of business" while there, unless you like to stand in line. There IS a tiny restroom off the lobby but the vast majority of the facilities require taking a LOT of stairs. They are running a "save a seat" fundraiser to refreshing seating, which would be welcome. Seats are already cramped for leg room, so having to shift about a lot to keep comfortable is challenging. I ALWAYS get an aisle seat due to this which often means I am far away from stage. As mentioned earlier, I subscribed through "Broadway at the Paramount" before, and it's got some issues. Mainly you can't resell your tickets on Ticketmaster site, and if you can't sell them otherwise you can't donate them back to the theater. They don't have a mechanism for that. read more

I absolutely love seeing shows at this gorgeous vintage downtown theater. It is opulent and has a great sound system. I have seen many musicians, comedians, and Broadway shows and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. I appreciate the location near great restaurants and bars to enjoy before arriving. My friend is a Paramount VIP and that helps with shortened entrance lines. A lot of parking near by. I would recommend carpooling to reduce cost. read more

We went to see a concert at the Paramount recently. It's an older venue, but I feel it has held up well. As is always the case, you need to go through security before entering the venue, but the staff is incredibly efficient in processing the large number of people entering. Seating is comfortable, but leg room is pretty dismal. This is also typical of older theaters. Sight lines of the stage are also decent throughout much of the theater, including in the upper reaches of the theater. All in all, we had a pleasant experience, and will gladly come back to visit the theater for another concert or event in the future. The theater is downtown, so parking can be dicey or expensive. There are some reasonably priced garages in the area, and the Westlake Station for light rail is less than 4 blocks away. read more

They pack too many people into this venue, sight lines are horrible and it felt like a sauna with the smell of dirty feet. We left at intermission and will not be back there to see a musical again until they do a makeover with the interior and HVAC. read more

We went there for the show, Peter Pan and looking forwarded to. Since we arrived after 7pm, we had to find any parking spots available nearby and paid for event parking. We saw a long line of people and luckily, we were able to get in when the show started. The show was fabulous and we enjoyed very much! Great experience and will come back for more. read more
