Came here to watch "The Thorn" and it's a lovely space. Usually I hate going to the theater downtown because I'm used to the Pantages or the Ahmanson in Los Angeles where you pay a ton to park and you still might get towed and you have to trek a long way and make your way past a homeless encampments on the curb to get to the doors. But the parking here is about $10 at the two nearby lots and they are literally a short walk away. Inside the theater it's pretty. This is one of those theaters with a lot of intricate, ornate, detail work from a time long since past and I love that it's vibrant and doing well. They have both a cafe and a bar area, and another space where you can buy water and snacks, along with space to sell merch in the lobby. The volunteers need a little training on how to help people to their seats. I was speaking to an older gentleman and he was showing me the map of where our seats were but he was lost. I literally took the map from him, turned it upside down so that it matched the orientation of the seats, and taught him how to read his map. Lol, God bless him, but it worked out. Plus there are lots of restaurants, plenty of Pokestops if you play Pokemon Go like me, but everything is walkable. read more

My r-slur bought tickets after I bought tickets. I was bullied and harassed by men and women for just trying to get to where I could see. They kicked me out and let the bullies stay in. I will never come back here. I will also never come back to any STG events moving forward. What a horrible night. This is why survivors die victims. We went to the Paramount Theatre with my parents and my kids and husband and this was not what I was expecting ,but was ultimately surprised by how much I liked it. It was a fun two-hour experience and I love the architecture inside of the Paramount Theatre. Will definitely come back and recommend you visit The Paramount Theatre also. read more

What a gorgeous venue! Saw the Tina Turner Musical show and was blown away by the production and presentation within this venue. We picked up our tickets at the Showbox which was simple and they also scan at the door if you have tickets on your mobile. We went through security which was simple and they have bars where you can buy drinks and snacks throughout the theater. They also sold merch in one section. I look forward to coming here to see many more shows. Always a great selection and variety that come through this theater. read more

I've been here for a few shows, most recently Six with my wife and we had a really good time. Even sitting towards the very back, it never limits the view. With how great the venue, there are some work in progress ares that need attention. Mostly with the organization with staff. The simplest questions like where the nearest bathroom or concession shouldn't be that hard for an employee to locate. Organization for directing everyone to leave is awful, people being sent both ways creates much longer wait to exit. All in all, when booking to see an event. This place doesn't disappoint. read more

This theater is opulent and stunning! I felt like I was entering a sacred part of Seattle's history. My friends and I enjoyed seeing The Book of Mormon musical here with a fully booked house on a weekday night. Ushers were helpful and bathrooms were very clean and thankfully near our seating in the upper mezzanine "nose bleed section." Seating is tightly packed and the ushers warned me that they would be closing the doors to our section when I went to the bathroom a few minutes before the start of the show. However, I made it in time for the show, thankfully! Parking was a bit tricky but it was easy to purchase with our tickets. They had us park in a garage a few blocks away and leaving the garage took about 30 minutes. Plan for a hike or to pay a lot to park closer to the theater. read more

This classic theatre has amazing programming - I couldn't even name the number of incredible shows we've seen here. I've sat in almost every section of the theatre and would definitely recommend the floor or the first balcony if you can afford it - the best views are from these areas. However there isn't really a bad seat. Great place for both theatre and concerts. Sound is usually good although it can vary depending on the artist and their crew. Seats are a bit narrower than modern seats so it can get a bit uncomfortable. All that said it's still a lovely experience. read more

A beautiful and cozy theater in downtown Seattle that brings energy and spirit to each show and act that dons its stage. While I have frequented this theater throughout the past 15 years, this was the first time I brought our family to a show: MJ The Musical. The touring production was awesome and inspiring. The stage perfectly ready to take the set changes and dynamic lighting, etc. The theater itself has "no bad seats", as we sat towards the back, but still felt we had stellar views. (Even from the balcony - in previous experience.) The only qualm is the lack of space before the show, during intermission and after the show. There is literally no room to move in the lobby area, as viewed from the second, third and fourth floor balconies, a sea of heads is all that can be seen, nearly at a standstill, moving centimeters at a time on the way in/out. read more

An absolutely beautiful theater! The highest seats are 3 floors up, so be prepared for the stairs if you got a 3rd mezzanine seat. There are bars on every floor, but you'll have to drink your entire drink before heading in unless you buy their reusable cup. If you're a local you might as well buy it now and bring it back later - I'm sure it'll get some good use when you inevitably come back for another show! Parking is notoriously difficult around this area but if you're willing to walk about half a mile, the Amazon garages have free weekday parking after 4pm. read more

We we freaking out, mainly her because 1) she spent a lot of money, and 2) we were both EXTREMELY excited. Writing to share the love for Paramount. Took my family to see The Lion King which was, hands down, fantastic. My daughter was enamored with the actors, set, and whole production. Asking, "how'd they do that?!" weeks after we went. Another thing to note, I lost my hat at the venue, and sort of considered it gone. On a whim, I called to inquire, doubting that it would have been found. Surprisingly, one of the staff turned it in, and the team (you know who you are) worked with me over the next few weeks to get it back to me. Thanks to all the folks who helped ... Came here to see Trevor Noah, he was great. The opener Will Sylvince was great also. The whole show was Wonderful! The venue however, was sooo outdated. #1 no elevator, anyone with walking issues should not come here, you will be climbing Hundreds of stairs, definitely a safety issue for patrons. #2..The whole theater smells old like dusty dirty moldy carpets, creepy dark lightings, took forever to climb to our seats and down. Very confusing seating arrangements, and there is no ushers to help you find your section or seats. Not the best operations and organization. And no elevator?! Or escalator? I seen a lot of older folks struggle trying to get to their seats or looking like they were going to pass out after they walk one flight of the very steep stairs. It was not a good experience here due to the way the theater is set up. read more

Absolutely disaster experience. We paid over $130 pp for the Cinderella tickets! The ballet was amazing it's more for their venue and theatre itself. First of all I live in downtown and see the every other night they can't even fix their N at Paramount sign goes off. When you enter the place it's very outdated! But what was most outrageous they didn't had a coat room where we could drop off our big jackets. I ask the ticket lady and she said we don't have it now. I mean common it's end of November 35 F in the night! I come in my long big coat and I have to sit with it???? It's good it wasn't rainy because we would have to have our wet jackets on us while we watch the show or have it on our knees. Absolutely terrible organization! We had a seat on Mezzaine in the second row and seats were even worst that the airplane. There were absolutely no room for legs. I am petite person 115 lbs even I had a hard time seating in those seats. I had to keep my long big puffy coat on my knees which made it extremely uncomfortable and hot! I couldn't relax and enjoy the show. The sitting in front of me person's hair was touching part of my knees all the time! This theatre is so steep even we had a good seats my neck hurt to watch down all the time! I didn't enjoy it. As an Eastern European being in many European theatres this is absolutely the worst! At least they should have a coat check room like at McCaw Hall. I would never recommend to come here because it's not worth the price. Last time we went to McCaw Hall to see Nutcracker and Shen Yun and it was much much pleasant experience, they also have restaurant on first floor, convenient seats and coat check room. read more

This event was awesome!! The the venue seats are closer together, smaller seats, and a more intimate setting. There is no place place in the venue that does not have a good view. Amazingly bad seating in the upper levels, anybody taller than say 5'5" will get leg cramps. Acoustics are terrible, very boomy and the hissing A/C goes nonstop. This place urgently needs an update! In the plus side they have a decent program with good shows but avoid any off the mezzanine levels at all cost if you're over 5'5". read more

Ah, better seats! Good job Paramount. XD It was about time. I've been here quite a few times for broadway shows and have always enjoyed my experience. The seats were my big complaint because they were suuuuper uncomfortable but now that they got new seats, you butt will thank you so much more. It is a beautiful theater and they have great selections of shows. The lines can get a bit ridiculous and you might have to go all the way up the street to line up or be looped multiple ways. There's usually a bottleneck at the door. But overall, it's a great theater and I look forward to seeing more shows here esp with the new seats. Lots of bathrooms too - they are downstairs. But still expect a line for the ladies room. read more

This is a great theatre to see a play. The building is historic and staff are very helpful. I saw Ain't Too Proud, the story of The Temptations (the famous Motown band). It was one of the best shows I have seen, the audience sang and danced during parts of the play, due to the show beings so electrifying. I highly recommend this theatre and play. read more

This theater is beautiful in architecture and history, however I wish they would upgrade or put in a ac system because it is incredibly hot and uncomfortable. I only come here when there is a broadway show I really want to see. I also wish they would hand out traditional broadway playbills from the show. Worst crowd control of any venue in town. They make everyone bunch up which causes complete confusion. They don't open the doors until fifteen minutes before the show. And the security guys are the most rude people I have ever dealt with. This is not just a one off thing, it happens every single time . Maybe take a page from how other theaters like the 5th Avenue or Showbox does it. They do WAY better. Zero stars if I could. read more

Six , the traveling Broadway Show was a great performance at the Paramount. It was Sold out. The audience cheered very loudly. Seattle Theater Group is using Ticketmaster as their main online ticket agency. So there is a $22 service fee on top of your ticket. The Ladies Toilets upstairs need to be replaced. Beautiful theater in the heart of downtown seattle. I came here to see a matinee performance of Anastasia. Arrived ~30 minutes before the show started, but just barely made it to my seat in time. The lines for concessions are always insanely long, so I'd recommend bring your own drink and snacks. But don't bring too much as the bathroom line for women is insanely long, especially during intermission. I didn't dare to wait, but those who braved the line definitely had to miss part of the show. In terms of Covid enforcement, they do the ID check and vaccination card. Once you get inside, wearing a mask wasn't enforced. And like the movies, you can eat and drink freely. read more

Beautiful venue! My fiancé and I parked in the giant convention center lot before seeing To Kill A Mockingbird here. The downside of the visit (which was not so bad) included the long line to get through security (probably bottlenecked due to scaffolding/construction). The venue is huge and beautiful! I'm comparing to The Curran in SF, which felt much more narrow which is probably good for the views but bad for those afraid of heights. Also, the area feels much safer than SF at night so it's a double win for me! Can't wait to see more shows here in the future. read more

Great place for a concert! I went to see Tate McRae a couple months back with a friend. It is predominantly a standing room, so I highly recommend coming early for any shows - but if you want to sit, they do have seats on the second floor that aren't that far from the stage and usually similarly priced. I loved how great the sound system was! It was loud but not deafening, and the screens in front made it so much easier to actually watch her - especially since I'm short but was in the back. Security was also really helpful and stopped people from pushing through. As a smaller sized person, I really appreciated it as I was getting thrown around a bit every time someone tried. Overall, this is a great location and I would definitely love to see more shows here! read more

We saw a Winton Marsalis jazz show there. The sound mix was great, the venue is beautiful and the music was great. The parking garage they put you in if you buy parking with your tickets is four blocks away. Not good for mobility impaired folks. Two men were shot to death two blocks away from the theater at 10 pm that night. Our show let out at 9:15. read more

A very nice theater. The ceiling is nice. Seats can get uncomfortable at the top floor. Rows are narrow. I was very interested at Hamilton that was at the edge of my seat but constantly moving because you can't stretch not even a little. Main floor has goods seats even when you are at the back. Don't be confused by the not too high ceiling. But it will get a bit toasty. Tickets sell faster depending on the event. I have been in a line outside when they release tickets. Bring a chair :D There's a big parking lot two blocks from there. Entrance is countercorner. There is a good dumpling restaurant a block from them. Always packed but at the end of performances there's a hot dog cart waiting for you :) Restrooms are downstairs. Lots of them. Haven't waited. But sometimes there's tp on the floor, etc. There's a "fast bar" with a huuuge line (always) yo get your drinks in a plastic cup. And there's another nice one infront of the waiting lobby. read more

Sound system and/or acoustics are dreadful for spoken word. We traveled from Portland bc of bad acoustics/sound system at the Keller Auditorium, but it wasn't worth the trip. Too bad. We were hoping that Paramount would be better for Broadway shows, but it's not. read more

I was enthusiastic about Silent Movie Mondays, but not now. We drove from Burien and were told at the Paramount that The Last Laugh was "postponed" due to Wurlitzer malfunction, and we could contact our vendor (TicketMaster) for a refund if desired. Six days later, no new date is set, and the TicketMaster app denies a refund. I am so tired of the TicketMaster/vendor treatment. read more
