We worked with a salesperson named Anthony, who assisted us with a test drive and pricing on a Traverse RS. He explicitly stated he could review our credit for estimates and clearly assured us that NO hard inquiry would be performed. We did not sign any documents. We did not authorize any credit applications. Despite this, our credit was run multiple times across different financial institutions without our knowledge or consent, resulting in unauthorized hard inquiries on our credit reports. Do not purchase an extended warranty on a used car. My 2018 equinox had 95000 miles and I was encouraged to purchase one. I was also told that at any time I could cancel and the get the remaining balance refunded. I used the warranty on the oil pressure switch, no issue. The switch failed again after a few months and they would not fix it again due to sludge. The sludge was already present when I bought the car. The dealer doesn't tell you that, now the warranty company wanted to take the engine apart to see if it was sludge causing the issue or an internal problem. If it was sludge then they would not repair, then I would be on the hook to pay $750 just for them to diagnose. No thank you. The warranty is trash, complete waste of money. Dealer also knew I took care of the car because they maintained it while I owned it. I decide to get rid of the car and get reimbursed for the remaining warranty. Warranty guy that sold me the extended warranty had me fill out the paperwork and said I had to wait 60-90 days, seems excessive but ok. As I follow up because no one there will, he stated no money will be returned, because I had used a claim. I call BS, I was owed almost $900, original cost was $2800. I took my car in for repairs told them what needed to be done she wrote it all down printed out a form and I signedit it took 2 days for them to tell me what needed to be repaired but they couldn't do it because they don't have the part and they didn't do som of the other repairs I asked them to do before but they charged me almost $400 for doing nothing. They told me they diagnosed the blower not working problem and replaced the fuse. The blower is still not functioning properly. So i bought a 2018 Chevy Equinox from here back in March 14,2026 from Paramus Chevy. I was excited to purchase the vehicle for the main reason of it being a certified preowned vehicle so it had a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty attached. I was very honest with the salesman and was expecting the same in return. He showed me the car fax and the car looked like it had been checked for everything and nothing would need to be bought or replaced on it... As soon as i was given the key, i realized i was literally only given 1 key. I asked the salesman what happened to the other one? He said it only comes with one and i asked if they could give me another one and his words were "sorry you bought the car as is" i was extremely upset but none the less i ended up going to another dealer to get a new key solely so i wouldn't have to deal with my salesman or anyone else from Paramus ever again... Later on that day,i realized that the auto rear tailgate didn't open at all so i had to manually open it. Thankfully, it was covered under "carbravo" but none the less, it made me question how thorough of an inspection they did of the vehicle before sale of it... Fast forward to leaving the car wash..as im putting tire shine on the tires, i noticed that the tires look dried up/cracked and very worn. Upon closer inspection, the tires are from 2017.... A vehicle with the same tires since 2017 and 72k miles on it..? The car fax states that 4 tires were replaced and an alignment was done...i guess they replaced the originals with used tires? I honestly have such a bad taste in my mouth with this dealer. Just very deceptive practices and I'm just upset because i do like the car but i have to question the carfax itself, on top of that im going to have to get a new set of tires that were never actually replaced. My fault for trusting a dealer and not thoroughly checking everything on the car before buying it.. What can Paramus Chevrolet improve? Transparency, integrity, and respect for customers' time. I brought my Chevy Bolt in because it suddenly wouldn't charge. Paramus Chevrolet kept my car for three days, and after 52 hours, the diagnosis I received was essentially: "We're not sure what the problem was, but here are some guesses." None of the guesses were supported by concrete evidence or tied directly to the charging issue. Despite telling me during drop-off that "we don't charge if we can't find the problem," I was then told I'd owe $300+ in diagnostic fees--even though no clear problem was identified and nothing was repaired. To make matters worse, I was given an expensive list of recommended maintenance--work that is unnecessary, considering I had a full diagnostic at Chevy East Rutherford five months earlier, with the car reported to be in excellent condition except for brakes. Paramus Chevrolet provided no confirmed cause for the charging failure, no repairs, and no resolution, yet still charged me for diagnostics -- and returned my EV uncharged after holding it for 3 days. It felt like an egregious customer-service failure, especially for an EV customer. This experience left me with a strong sense of frustration and distrust. Just over a year ago, I had a very different view of Paramus Chevrolet. I had a positive relationship with the dealership, both as a customer--having purchased two vehicles there--and through my involvement with my local Corvette Club, which held meetings at the dealership and brought consistent engagement from the local Corvette community. That relationship ultimately ended in a manner that was abrupt and lacked clear communication. There was little effort to provide transparency or maintain what had been a mutually beneficial partnership. To this day, we were never given a reason--only an email sent less than a week beforehand informing us that we could no longer hold our meetings there. While this is not a recent experience, it left a lasting impression regarding how relationships are handled. Based on that experience, I cannot recommend Paramus Chevrolet. Purchased a CPO vehicle from salesman Edwin Garcia Sarita ,everything went downhill when he didn't want to provide a purchase order for my bank unless I did a $500 deposit then I jokingly asked if he'll top the gas tank, declined and started begging to give him a 5 star review for a full tank of gas. Moving forward, at moment of e-signing document I noticed they had added 10 miles on documents on top of it's true mileage (basically once vehicle is out the lot whatever issue it has I'm sure I'd get told "well you drove it 10 miles already,not our fault). I made them correct this against their will. I paid for vehicle to get shipped from NJ to California , upon arrival the vehicle has huge dents on the passenger side ,rock chips,scratches that were not mentioned and not shown when asked for full car details,videos and photos (Edwin Garcia Sarita sent them to me via his personal Whatsapp and via text). Clearly he avoided pointing the camera at the issues. Contacted Ivonne Flores (some type of unprofessional manager who avoids and hangs up on you) , sent all the pictures I was provided by Edwin Garcia Sarita + pictures of transportation company pointing out the dents,rock chips,scratches, the broken RF mirror ,etc. after multiple avoided calls,she finally responded stating the damages were shown and they can offer 500 as goodwill. Crazy. That's basically them admitting to the issue and trying to shut me up by signing a document and accepting 500 from them. Next, took the vehicle to get it smogged,fails . Called GM,took vehicle to local Chevy dealer,they put the scanner on and it's throwing at least 5 different issues + Theft Deterrent System has been activated and won't let me start the car unless I cycle through pressing the push start for a while in hopes that the vehicle recognizes the smart key. Sometimes it doesn't recognize the smart key at all leaving me keyless. Called Paramus Chevrolet, was told Ivonne Flores (manager) was not in the office ,explained the situation ,advised of seeking legal help for fraud and misrepresentation,Ivonne quickly tapped in the call,was told to send smog failure documents via email, I did exactly that. Now Ivonne Flores is telling me I need to drive the vehicle to reset whatever issue it has. Keep in mind the vehicle has temp tags from NJ in California , not registered; I'm not exactly at free will to drive the vehicle for who knows how long . To begin with the vehicle should have been ready to go when it got here, the vehicle isn't even passing smog! Worst dealership ever, while searching for auto shipping company I was advised and warned by a carrier that Paramus Chevrolet went down hill after the original owner sold the company. After all these issues they're still avoiding me and telling me I need to drive/ take care of vehicle issues on my own. I feel a responsible dealership would have scheduled me with a local dealership to get vehicle inspected and quoted for paint/body work under their company Paramus Chevrolet and get it taken care of,instead of being offered $500 TO SHUT ME UP AND FORCED TO SIGN A DISCLOSURE. They quoted me almost $1,700 to replace an oil pump (after charging $300 to run a diagnostics test). A local mechanic quoted me $975 to replace the pump. I called and told them I'd be taking it to a local mechanic. They said they could match the local mechanic. I told them it was too late. I came to this dealership with my 2021 Colorado extended cab WT, I was told that my trade value would be $17000 toward a newer colorado that was on the lot. My only reason for trading was that I needed 4 doors. The trade vehicle was a 2022 Colorado listed at $30800. I liked it and was willing to make the purchase because it had an an advertised free 6 month Car Bravo warranty and ten day 500 miles to change my mind. I sat down with Kuammi to complete the deal. At this point I have to mention that I am severely hearing impaired. My $17000 down payment plus $7000 GM rewards points put my actual down payment on this truck to $24000. To my mind the difference was now approx $8000 plus sales tax plus dealer fees. At Kuammi's desk was added $3600 Car Bravo warranty fees and financing of approx $16000 with GM financial @ 9.25%. My credit rating has always been above 800 points and I was given no option to use another source of financing. I walked into this dealership in 2022 as a single mom with two kids, genuinely needing a reliable car. Looking back, I now realize how badly I was taken advantage of. It wasn't until years later, when I purchased another vehicle from a reputable dealership, that I fully understood just how unfairly I was treated at Paramus Chevrolet. Fast forward to November 2024--I traded in the Chevy I bought from them and canceled all of the warranties they pressured me into purchasing. There were three total warranties from two different companies, all of which I now know were unnecessary and overpriced. The warranty companies issued refunds totaling nearly $3,000, but instead of returning that money to me, the funds were deposited directly into Paramus Chevrolet's account. Despite clear documentation from both warranty companies--including the exact deposit dates, amounts, and transaction ID numbers--Paramus Chevrolet claims they only received money from one of the companies. The previous owner did send me a partial refund for one warranty cancellation but refuses to return the rest, which is over half the total refund amount. They continue to make excuses like "the owner never got your money" or "he doesn't have it," and it's been nearly six months with little to no communication. This is money I paid out of my own pocket, and there is no reason they should be keeping it. It's unethical, dishonest, and incredibly frustrating. I have included what is fraud on their mechanics' part, I feel bad as their sales staff has been good to my family but if the mechanics are crooks then it is time to run away. Look at the pins of the Mass Air Flow Sensor pictured. I come from a generation that worked on their car and 1'm not part of the participation trophy generation. So if you look at the picture from Left to Right there is 8 pins, pay attention to pin 8 all the way to the right, if you force the connector in that is what would happen to the pin bent flat. Why? The wiring harness is a flat plug with 8 holes, I made sure when I brought the part the pins were all straight, and when I installed it, the harness slipped in without issues. Here is the fraud, look in the middle to Pins 3, 4, & 5, there is no way the harness would have ever seated correctly and I drove to the dealership with this Mass Air Flow Sensor so how were Pins 3, 4, & 5 bent like that? FRAUD! Look at the shape it looks like a pen was used or a Philips Head Screwdrive you know what you need to use to remove the two screws holding it in place. I want Paramus Chevrolet to contact me but I know they are cowards and they know they are probably caught and will not address the issue. They scrambled and panicked when I asked them for the old part. Alway request your old parts good mechanics are not crooks and they will show you what they replaced. In Feb. 2025 I purchased a 2022 Silverado from Paramus Chevrolet with 18,000 mile on it. I was charged $998.00 for a Zurich Shield Which Protects the paint and the seats for one year. I never authorized this protection and I explicitly told the sales woman that I didn't want it. I was charged $800.00 for document fees, I was never told what they were for. I was charged $500.00 for Title and registration fees. I live in New York and I know it doesn't cost near that much. They had the nerve to charge me $20.00 to mail my plate to my house. All that being said, I have the vehicle for two weeks and I start to smell anit-freeze. So I bring the vehicle to my local Chevrolet dealer to take a look at it. My Chevy dealer told they found a bad radiator. They told me that someone was working on it because there were markings on the coolant reservoir showing the height of the coolant level. They told me that the truck should have never been sold like that. After contacting them I was told by the sales woman who I purchased it from to bring it back and some one would look at it. If I could give no stars I would. To start brought my car to have an oil change. When I received the text message with link to app to find charges. $76. When they were done they told me I needed 4 new tires and an engine air filter. The cost $119 for an air filter installed and tires close to $1,300. I have an Equinox base model. So $1400 total. Went to PepBoys 850 4 new tires Coopers better than the BS they were going to install balance and alignment with tax and air filter installed. So if your rich and stupid go to Chevrolet of Paramus for service otherwise go somewhere else. Oh and the oil change $140 after I denied the other service. They said it was a glitch. They kept telling me it's the end of the month so it's busy. I brought my 2020 GMC Yukon here to get my A/C fixed due to a freon leak. I already previously had the A/C charged and had photos and video of where the leak was coming from and they refused to listen and charged and added freon to the A/C again to find out the leak is coming from the same location where I told them it was. Therefore when they finally replaced the parts and fixed the issue they had to charge and add freon again. I was charged twice for charging the system and adding freon. I was not told that the sale had to be closed within the calendar month of it arriving. I requested from the salesperson that I be able to close the sale remotely (scanning and emailing, or some similar option), as I live out of state. I was told that would not be possible, and that I would have to come in person. I asked my salesperson Jose to confirm that with his manager, which he did, and I was again told that the sale could not be closed remotely, due to fraud concerns. This turned out to be a flat out lie, likely to get me in the showroom to apply normal (for this industry) heavy-handed sales tactics. I was informed that the truck arrived on Monday Nov 20. This is the Monday of the week of Thanksgiving. On Tuesday Nov 21 I was informed, for the first time, that the sale had to be closed in November. This allowed only Thanksgiving weekend for me to come down and pick up the truck and still be in Nov. Given holiday travel plans it wasn't possible. I was then informed that if the sale did not close in November my deposit would be refunded and the truck would be sold to someone else. So, the deposit means nothing to them other than being a sales tactic to make you feel committed. This is the first time I became unhappy with Paramus Chevrolet. I had acted in good faith and wanted to go through with the purchase on Saturday Dec 2nd. 10 days, including the Thanksgiving holiday, did not seem an unreasonable time to close a sale. It felt to me that Paramus Chevrolet was acting in bad faith. If the timing of the sale was so important, they should have told me when I put in the deposit. Threatening to sell a truck that I had put a deposit on if I didn't cancel my thanksgiving weekend plans is unethical. I couldn't even get it through the registry that fast. To get the sale closed in November I again asked to close the sale remotely. Now, suddenly not only was this possible it was a good idea. Paramus Chevrolet had just been lying to me before when they said they couldn't close remotely. They could close remotely; they just didn't want to and made up some excuse about fraud. Upon receipt of the "Retail Installment Sales Contract" (Financing agreement) I noted $405 Zurich Fee. Upon inquiry with Mohamed (financing) & Ed (sales manager) I was told that the Zurich fee is the same thing as the $398 Dealer Fee, and that it could not be removed as it was considered part of the sales price of the car. Upon further examination, I noted that the $398 dealer fee had already been included in the top line of the Itemization of Amount Financed on the Retail Installment Sales Contract, and Paramus Chevrolet was double charging me for this. I had to put a spreadsheet together to identify this, as the top line price was sticker, plus market adj, plus dealer fee. I wonder how many of their other customers have been overcharged by a fee with an unnecessarily confusing title because they just didn't notice. The double billing for a "service" I didn't even want was corrected upon my request. Once they were on board with closing remotely, I requested that they send me the agreements via DocuSign so signatures could be exchanged electronically. They then only sent the financing agreement for electronic signature, not the actual sales agreement for the car. On the day that we closed the sale the finance manager and I had a phone conversation where I pointed out that the only agreement between myself and Paramus Chevy was the Retail Instalment Contract (financing agreement), and I thought that was odd. He condescendingly told me that no further agreement was needed, dismissed my concerns, and lectured me on the fact that Paramus Chevrolet does it this way all the time and that I didn't need to worry because Paramus Chevy is part of a large organization and isn't going anywhere. That's right Paramus didn't ask me to sign a contract for the sale of the truck, and then was insulting to me when I questioned them about it. They later provided me a Bill of Sale which I provided to the registry as my proof of ownership. In summary: -They threatened to sell a truck I put a deposit on because I couldn't pick it up on thanksgiving weekend with less than a week's notice. -They lied to me about the possibility of closing remotely, and only came clean when it was to their advantage -They attempted to overcharge me $405 on a car that they were already getting sticker price, plus $1,500 market adj, plus an exorbitant $798 document fee, plus $398 dealers fees for services I don't want. -They belittled me when I confirmed that the retail installment sales contract was the only contract we needed, only to later realize that they had screwed up read more

The sales rep needs more training. First submitted the wrong name of the purchase order. Then took days to get back to us. Gave us the purchase order with the wrong price after we paid all cash. Temporary license plate never came. We had to call to follow up then found out they didn't submit the right information. So it delayed us using the vehicle because we were waiting on the license plate. Will never come here at this dealership again.
