Parking in multiple lots (though the signs sometimes led people astray, too many choices in the jughandles of NJ, I guess). Lots of vendors and sponsors coming in; one down side was a lack of clear bags from the vendors (too much to carry), I wish they'd had a locker system to take advantage of placing things within to safekeep as you walked around the course. The course was beautiful, green, and cool (the weather was perfect), and the grounds crews were bustling (the cart drivers moved too fast - almost did almost run me over twice). The PGA volunteers however were nice and pleasant, including Bill celebrating his 95th birthday! I like the location last year better (hard to beat the views at The Liberty National Course), but the setup was very familiar and perfectly interesting for most of the fans. The driving range was just at the entryway, which was nice, you had to walk past in order to get into the live greens, so good placement there. Had golf lessons all over (Mastercard, Barclays, NJ Golf Association, etc.), and a food truck section that looked mighty delicious with lobster rolls, French Cajun, fried cheese curds and other options not normally found on a golf course. That was a nice touch, in my opinion. The facilities were top-notch if you were near the 18th green. Once you ventured further out, though, the lack of bathrooms was more evident, although plenty of vendors all over. And odd sign flickering issues as they switched from stat to stat at several locations (I blame the electronic sign vendor on that one).

Had to take yellow school buses between the parking lot (by the Garden State Plaza mall) and the club - shuttle bus service is typical for these types of events. They were tremendous and very accommodating all night. The cocktail hour had a number of different options ranging from a seafood table to Charcuterie plates to a gyro station. There was also a number of pastas and a section for Asian cuisine with stir fry being served. There were numerous staff members walking around with handheld dishes too. My favorite option here was probably the harissa at the gyro station. I had that on a falafel gyro, and it was very flavorful. The sushi rolls were decent at best while the grilled chorizo was tasty. Those were just a few of the many dishes I had. For dinner, there was a choice of three main courses along with a salad. The salad consisted of mixed greens, frisee, endive, almond silvers, dried cranberries, and goat cheese with a white balsamic vinaigrette. This was a well put together salad. The white balsamic vinaigrette was key as it brought all the flavors together. Regarding the main course, I was able to share two, the filet mignon and Chilean seabass. The filet had a bordelaise sauce with carrots, asparagus, and a red bliss potato cake. The seabass was pan seared with an heirloom tomato fondue, asparagus, carrots, and a rice pilaf. These were decent at best. The filet had an inconsistent temperature throughout as it was cooked to a medium on the inside while the outside was more well done. The vegetables were a tad hard while the potato cake was nicely fried. It was expected at a large event. The seabass was cooked nicely, but just well under seasoned. The fondue was okay while the rice was a tad hard too. For dessert, cake with ice cream was served. I doubt the cake was made on the premise, but it was not too bad. It was all vanilla I believe including the ice cream. Will I go back? Probably.

However the bald man who's kind of short , I think he's the manager - as he was giving orders to the servers is a real douche ! He is so condescending ! My husband and I , along with many other guests overheard how he was communicating to the staff and we were quite taken back ! Beyond rude ! Also , at one point my husband asked how to get to the patio from where we were so we could take our daughter outside , and and rbis guy legit let out a HUGE sigh , and was like "ugggggggj I guess I could show you if you don't want to ask anybody else ..." like ok guy .... you work in the hospitality industry .... you chose this job , onody forced you to take it and be miserable . Overall the place is immaculate , but this guy really sucks and needs to get a different job . Kudos to the servers and bartenders for being amazing and dealing with a jackass boss !

So I found this indoor golf place less than a mile and a half away from my dad's place. It was nice, clean cozy and the staff friendly! I had a chance to meet the owner named Gary and he gave me the walk through. I decided to on his recommendation to play Bethpage since I am in the East Coast right! The bay is bigger than most indoor simulators which is really nice and the layout and comfort is top notch. The indoor temp was perfect as well! I played my round in less than an hour and shot a 93!!!!! I settled down toward the end but it was too late lol! 51 front and 42 back...I could have easily shot in the 80s. I almost wanted to play another round. My driver was wayyyy off today! The owner's father said it was A tough course, so I will take it! What can I say, I loved it! I can see myself coming here regularly during winter once I move back and what a convenience that it is close to home! Price is right and it was nice to see a bunch of regulars. It had a family kind of feel to it and that earns my business. So if you are 12 handicap golfer like myself (I blew it today), scratch golfer or just a hack, I urge you to take your swing down to Go Low Golf! I love finding cool places like this, that are truly gems!

As newbies, my wife and I fell in love with this place after shopping a couple of other places. We joined annual membership and began taking lessons after trying out a simulator, drinks and interviewing a coach. Overall experiences have been great so far. The highlight of this place is, I think, the professionalism that the owner upholds. What I mean by saying professionalism is that he knows how to meet the needs of patrons, as opposed to pressing on too much or neglecting any requests. After a few visits and joining memberships, he greets us exactly in the same way by saying 'what can I do for you?' whenever we visit the IDG Club Golf & Cafe.
