The building is well built and with South Weddington Park just across the street is an added bonus. I've lived here since the building opened in 2007 and hope to remain indefinitely. It's my home! The two challenging factors that keep me from confidently giving Windsor five stars is rental rates and security. Of course, currently rental rates everywhere are grossly inflated, and certainly Windsor could be more affordable even without current market trends. As for security, given the increase in crime and homelessness since the pandemic began, we could have a far greater presence, 24/7. But our neighbors look out for one another and typically keep each other informed and aware of issues as needed. Overall, its a wonderful place to live! And if you're cool and looking for a comfortable, peaceful place to live--you may have just found it! ; )

On 5/13 we had our two bikes stolen from the P2 lot. We went to speak to Liz Samonte from…read moremanagement and she was no help at all. We were told only the maintenance manager has access to cameras and he wouldn't be available until Monday. We filed a police report, but other than that there was really nothing else we could do. Today 5/18, our car got broken into. One of the windows was smashed into and they trashed the car. Again, we went to Liz Samonte from management and she was NO HELP AT ALL. Except this time she told us we need a warrant to access the cameras and the footage gets deleted after 3 days. So we have been targeted twice now and were told two different things from Liz Samonte. We also let her know whoever broke into the car took the clicker to enter the garage, so now they have access. Again, no solution was given by management and we were just offered another clicker. I am writing this to warn residents, as I am sure management will not want other tenants to be informed, that the thief who broke into our car now has access to the garage. I doubt management will make any changes or offer any real solutions to keep our property safe and secured. Please be careful and keep your belongings safe/secured. I do not recommend living here.

PLEASE READ IF CONSIDERING LESTANCIA. im a…read morelittle late writing this but i have to testify. i used to live at lestancia for a good while but moved out in the last few years. gotta be a little vague bc these guys talk s*** & arent nice at all. but i still keep in touch with a lot of friends i made there who are still in residence. when i lived there they had the best manager antonio but he left at the end of 2023 early '24. it went downhill from there. i got the scoop on the 'legal' scams they run on the residents now like forcing them to take house internet that isn't very good i hear. and you still have to pay even if you dont want it. can you say monopoly conjob? also the utilities are bad & there are always leaks & problems. water is a major issue and the security situation is a joke. over the years so many people have been assaulted, stolen from & cars broken into. transients walk through the halls & steal deliveries all the time. mngmt doesnt care one bit. guards were sometimes high or harassed people. i was also told that there are three class action lawsuits hitting the current management & owners. i think claudia is still there as asst mngr. she's not bad. but everyone says the new guy comes off as hella shady & not nice at all. nobody likes him! plus theyre so disorganized and do NOT care about residents. they discourage residents from interacting probably because theyre afraid of more class action suit or calling mngmt on their bs. so sad, i know. the bldg looks pretty from the street but there are so many issues for the ridiculous rent they want. antonios crew used to throw bbqs & holiday parties. i hear they arent even doing that this year. plus that hood is so dangerous! the 711 next door is a hood magnet and a lot of crazy druggies & scary homeless walk all around that block. seriously, its not safe. used to be better but not now. i went to visit my friend there not long ago & i couldnt wait to get the hell out of that hood! sorry to be so neg but you should know. When you get there, they make you do their own digital I.d. authentication on your phone from an email or text they send to you while you are in their office with the tour guide. Is this a secure site? I have no idea. The authentication takes a picture of the front and back of your drivers license or your passport and then also you have to put your face up to your phone and it takes pictures of your face. Unfortunately it kept rejecting me and she said she could not take me on a tour. Everything was laid out there in front of her. I even had a cable bill to my present address with me. Meanwhile there were many food delivery people coming in and out of the door and Amazon and FedEx and no one had to certify with her. So now they have a picture of my drivers license front and back, my passport, and about eight pictures of my face. Le estancia -this makes me very very uncomfortable. The girl working said there was no supervisor or manager for her to call or anyway to find out why their certification program was rejecting me. She also told me multiple times that her computer is slow and not working well. Anyway, I wasted about 2 1/2 hours of my Saturday driving there and trying to get certified and no tour of anything. There is no back up in case this fails. I guess she is unable to confirm your identity by looking at your physical ID and looking at your face. I do that all the time At work. And she has no one to call to help her out when her system fails. So I guess no Le Estancia for me, Unless they figure out their system. Oh and to top it all off, before I even had my tour they sent me an email to apply for a specific apartment . Weird. I'm wondering if I applied maybe then they would've given me a tour???

In the year my fiancé and I have lived there, we have had to call the police at least a half a dozen times. Most of the tenants are 3-4 people stacked in 2 bedroom units and there are musicians who play all night. If you complain, nothing happens. The walls are paper thin and you have to run either heat or A/C all day because the windows are old and can't keep the temperature. The carpet comes loose every time we vacuum. The manger is completely awful and gossips with the neighbors about the tenants. For example, she would stop me in the hallways and tell me about people who have been laid off or who was gay, etc. None of that information should ever be shared with other tenants. We've had cockroaches in our kitchen. Finally, we were told that there were security cameras on site, yet, when a few cars were broken into in the parking garage, the place came clean and said they never had cameras. Insane!!! I know this sounds unreal, but none of this is untrue. I really just don't want anyone else to have to go through this like we did. If you do and look at the apts, look at the windows, look at the carpet, make sure they have security as this is not an incredibly safe neighborhood. Good luck.

Rafael is also an incredible human and a huge part of why I moved in. But we need to talk about vomitgate. To set the stage, each building only has a single elevator and two stairwells (both of which are locked). This means that for residents with mobility issues, postal workers, and delivery people, the only access to the units is via this one elevator. Which is why it's particularly alarming to me that we are now entering day three of our elevator being inaccessible due to a large pool of vomit. I first discovered it Saturday afternoon, when trying to use the elevator to take my dog out for a walk. There was something that looked like dog drool on the elevator floor, but when the elevator doors opened I saw the puddle of vomit and immediately went down to the parking garage to exit that way. There is no emergency maintenance line that I am aware of, but several residents texted the managers to let them know the situation. Saturday evening, the vomit was still there, but someone had placed a "caution wet floor" sign over it. It is now Monday morning. The vomit is still blocking the entrance to the elevator. I am thankful I am able bodied, as the lobby must be accessed in order to use the gym, trash room, dog park, and of course to enter and leave the building. Thinking of the people entering the building who have no choice but to use the elevator, as well as residents who are not able to use the stairs and have to choose whether to walk across a puddle of vomit during a global pandemic or not enter or leave their homes is truly alarming. This is a health and safety hazard, not to mention flat out bizarre. I have heard from other residents another puddle of vomit has gone untouched on the third floor. I will continue to report back on how long it remains before being taken care of.

I highly recommend this place to anyone, as it's easily the best/nicest apartment I've ever lived in (I've been a tenant in 8+ apartments). Amenities include a pool, 10+ BBQs spread out between two separate areas, a huge jacuzzi (fits 10-15), and an exercise gym. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and laundry in-unit are all big pluses. Go ahead and check this place out. The old (negative) comments are probably in regards to the old management. The manager at the time had lived/worked here for 19 yrs. It was a true community. Since Sarah has taken the manger role in 2023, things have been a constant struggle yet we're still paying prime rental rates. Her hrs are reduced so we have much less responsiveness to issues. Washers take weeks if not longer to repair. We get little notice when the water will be turned off for repairs. We're limited what we can put on our patios, plants no longer allowed (previously appreciated). Lately we have issues with our parking garage security gates and were told the vendor says they're working fine so the tenants need to figure out if our clickers are causing a problem. Wtf?? The landlords now charge a % fee to pay rent online with a credit card (standard in most places) but they also now charge a fee to pay via debit online. Unheard of so I've gone back to writing checks. During the rains over the 2025 holidays, I had water damage in my apt which they repaired over 20 days, but they have offered no compensation or reduced rent while my apt had a large portion uninhabitable. I would no longer recommend this complex and will move once viable.

I came from living in Irvine company apartments in the OC and that was pretty good. Here you can hear people opening/closing cabinets, or using the shower, as if it's in your own unit. The water pipes are loud too. You can hear neighbors talking and making noise through the walls, it's pretty annoying, even though it seems they're talking in a regular volume. So it's really not a quiet complex. There is on site laundry but only 2 washers and dryers a piece, for the amount of units I think there should be more available. For the positives, the complex is centrally located next to the freeway so it's easy to get in and out of the area. Packages are delivered to the door which is nice. The loft units feel unique and was a big reason for choosing the complex. The management/ managers seem pretty nice and competent. When initially moving in I worked with Madison, then Tez, as the former was leaving. From my perception I think Carlo tries to hire competent managers so I'm sure whoever fills the spot will be good too. Overall good place but I think many of the reviews don't know what quiet means.

We looked at 18 places over the course of two days. Didn't love any of them. We almost gave up and then saw this place randomly on our search. We called and toured the next day with Ruth. She's the property manager at the other Vista Pointe location but she was super communicative and friendly, and gave us a great tour of the place. We fell in love immediately. That being said, the application process was a bit difficult. We didn't get approved at first, even though we "checked all the boxes." (great credit, income, prior history, etc). But we're independent contractors, so we still needed a cosigner. Through that WHOLE process though, Ruth and our now current property manager Madison, were SO helpful and communicative. They constantly gave us updates and really fought for us to get in here. It's nice to know we're in a place that cares for its tenants, but also wants to make sure only responsible adults are moving in. Now our property manager Madison lives on site, and I cannot rave about her more. I've never had a landlord or manager that cares SO much about the tenants. Anything I need, she's a text away. Any time of day. Which is nuts. Our maintenance requests are handled right away. As are any other issues. (though there hasn't been anything major). It's an older building. Anyone moving in needs to know that. Walls are thin. There aren't any crazy new amenities. But the renovations are great. We love our one bedroom townhouse. We're right by the outdoor grilling/hot tub area, which is also a great perk. There's gated parking included. And the location is prime. You can't beat it. We feel super lucky to be here, and hope to stay here awhile!
