I had a smoked cheese baked into a split bread, and it was so good. We also got a citron tart, an apple tart, and gorgeous. All satisfying. The coffee... I didn't expect it, but it is top-tier coffee. I ordered the americano, and it was bursting with complex flavors. It wasn't just chocolate or burnt or, god forbid, dirt. It was more than just a diner coffee. A real coffee nerd would appreciate this coffee. I should have asked where the beans were from. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got it from one of Denver's top roasters. What a treat. We'll be back for sure.

The quality is certainly being maintained at a high level. This is a traditional, German bakery with a huge variety of authentic European cakes, cupcakes, sweet and savory pastries, pies, cookies, coffee cakes, and the only reason I think a German bakery should exist--strudel! Strudels are available whole, half, or by the slice. The usual flavors are apple, cherry, blueberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese, and Boston cream. We bought slices of the apple, cherry, and blueberry cream cheese. These were perfection and absolutely delightful. I was totally focused on the strudel case (yes, there's a lot of strudel on offer), but I believe there are eight huge cases of treats, each one looking more enticing than the next. Quite a few gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free options are available, so if that's what you need, this is the place for you. The bakery was moderately busy during our visit. There was plenty of staff and they were all friendly, helpful, and very efficient, so purchases moved swiftly. Lots of coffee and drink options are available.
