Stopped by here for a quick breakfast treat and I was so glad to find this gem! The decor is so cute and the donuts, most importantly, were amazing. We got the croissant donut, glazed, chocolate, and maple donuts. I'd like to try the cake donuts next time. I'm glad they finally opened this location here in Lakewood. It has been a long wait but, at last, We Knead Donut Lakewood edition is here!! Finally got to stop in on a day off. Inside is simple and ample enough space to hold many hungry patrons. The selection is full of standards and some unique options in the mix. I have never seen an Almond Chocolate donut which, sadly was out, but, is one I will be back to try another day. I ended up choosing a favorite Red Velvet, a Blueberry, and the Croissant donut. I love that there is the option to choose your own filling for the filled donut. I might have to do a combo of flavors on my next visit! There are also kolaches with a meat and vegetarian option today. Coffee is available but, I was focused on donuts and forgot to order one. I did not think to confirm however, I am sure my order was handled by the owner who was very friendly. He snuck in some donut holes on the house which, of course, I had to try first! Great location for us Green Mountain dwellers and great to have a small business donut shop in the hood to support. I had the blueberry and croissant donut and the blueberry had such a good flavor. Once I peeled the first layer of the croissant donut and bit into that, I knew I had found my pot of gold in the form of a donut. Everything was perfectly cooked, great texture and flavor, and here I am an hour later, tempted to eat my Red Velvet! Can't wait to go back for more. read more

Finally stopped in this week. If you want coffee don't bother. It is in an airpot thermos and not very good coffee at that. (It can be done well, ask Panera Bread) There are only wasteful tiny plastic creams - no thermos of cream or milk. Someone like me that is a lot of work and a lot of waste. There is no seating and the atmosphere is drab (not a plus when escaping hospital environment). HOWEVER the donuts are AMAZING - some of the best I ever have had. EVER! The old fashioned was just right. The Bavarian cream (one of 4 fillings to choose from that they fill in the spot!) in the chocolate round was positively divine. If you want a place to pick up donuts and that is it- by all means stop in you will not be disappointed. If you want a respite or even a decent coffee to go with- then you may be a tad disappointed. They are newly opened so I hope in short order coffee and atmosphere will catch up with their donuts. read more
