Croissant special topped with fruits and cream. Plus three small donut holes.

Delicious donuts, especially the Boston cream and their special Nutella filled with strawberries on top. Service is fast! You are in and out of store within 10 minutes, and the ambiance is light and bright. It is best to go there first thing in the morning: freshly baked donuts with many choices to choose.

Went for our first time today! Service was awesome - they threw in extra donut holes for us! The croissant donut and bb old fashioned were moist and delicious. +they have kolaches

Stopped by here for a quick breakfast treat and I was so glad to find this gem! The decor is so cute and the donuts, most importantly, were amazing. They were soft, fluffy, thick, and perfectly sweet. Miles above the stuff you get at the grocery store and certainly miles above the other chains in the area. Love local !

The donuts here are really good but a little too sweet for me. The employee was very nice and suggested the croissant donut and gave us samples to try. We got the croissant donut, glazed, chocolate, and maple donuts. I'd like to try the cake donuts next time. I'm glad they finally opened this location here in Lakewood. Prices are pretty good compared to other donut shops. I do wish they would have vegan donuts here for my kids with allergies.

Good donut shop that does sell out of donuts pretty quickly on Sunday but less likely on a Saturday. People are nice as well. I like the variety of donuts. The cake donuts are particularly good and not too heavy.

Holy Sh!#!!!! Ummmm...the Croissant Donut. SO glad my bf and I got 2!!! You will not want to share!!! The quality of every donut we tried is just amaze balls! The blueberry one--woah. Also, when you order a cream filled one, you pick from 5 flavors and they fill it fresh for you on the spot. Red velvet also amazing.. just.. can't.. ok gotta go eat the rest of these kay byyyyeeeee

Quite possibly the greatest donut in Denver. The cronuts (croissant donut) are so flaky and melt in your mouth. Decent breakfast burrito too.

Wow! Love these donuts! We got a baker's choice of a dozen donuts and I could have downed every one of them! Unfortunately, I needed to share, we all picked a favorite, and life was good. The folks working here are very helpful in helping you decide on the many to choose from. I'll be back!

I'm so happy this place finally opened !! Service is fast and friendly. The prices are so great for the delicious quality of donut they put out. The croissant donut is a MUST (as you can see I couldn't even wait to take a pic before digging in). I can't wait to go back ! The only tiny criticism I have is i think it would be helpful to see labels on which donut is which (I think it would help them too so they don't have to repeat themselves to every customer).

    Bag o' donuts!

Suffice it to say, this place has ruined all other bakeries for us. The staff was extremely helpful in giving recommendations, and they did not disappoint. I got the cinnamon roll (of course), and a cheese danish, and my wife got their lemon & almond pastries. The price was extremely reasonable for what we were about to experience. Dear reader, these delectable delights were unlike anything we've ever tasted before. Perfectly buttery, flaky, warm, and full of flavor. It was all we could do not to make a scene at our table out of sheer culinary delight. We actually ended up going back to the counter for seconds. Now, days later, we're back in Michigan, sitting down with cinnamon rolls from our local bakery, and it's just... okay? "It's not Taste of Denmark..." I say, the light fading from my eyes. "Yeah..." my wife responds, despondent. So thank you, Taste of Denmark. You have set the bar too high, and now none shall ever compare. I hope you're happy. (We miss you, and promise to stop in every morning when we're back in Colorado)

My son had seen this place on a recent visit to the area and wanted to try it. Since I was in town,…read morehe picked me up at my hotel and we drove over to check it out one Friday morning. Note that the sign is on the outside of the building, and if you have online orders, you can (and should!) use the ourside pick-up window. If you're walking up, though, you need to enter the Edgewater Public Market (tip: the door to the left is the closest to the bakery if you're standing in front of the pick-up window and realize that you need to go inside) All of the pastries and breads looked very good, but both of us decided on a cinnamon roll. We both enjoyed the rolls at a table in the market across from the bakery. It is a very light cinnamon roll (think of laminated croissant-like dough) with just enough cinnamon and frosting. If you want a more "bread" cinnamon roll like at the famous chain shops, these are not the same. I'd imagine that these have half the calories as well (at least, I am telling myself that!) Frankly, I expect I would have been happy with anything, including the pastry with pickle slices on it. I hadn't had coffee yet, so I was not in a place to remember to take a picture (sorry!)... but it looked really nice and if the cinnamon roll wasn't practically YELLING my name, my natural inclination would have been to get the "weirdest thing" on the menu (according to my family's years of data). It is called "the pretty pickle" : house made pickle, focaccia crumbs, paprika crema and pickled shallots on puff dough. If you look for it on Instagram, I am sure you'll find a picture. Along those lines, I ordered an Astro Fuel Latte. The sign was hand written, so I may have missed a few ingredients, but this is what I remember: espresso with with condensed milk and a touch of black pepper. It was very sweet and creamy with a little bite of pepper on the back end. Think Vietnamese coffee with a little kick.

Located at the Edgewater Public Market, Black Box is a bakery and coffee shop counter that crafts some of the most sought after pastries in the metro area. My advice? Get there early to avoid disappointment! I was here yesterday, a Monday around 11am. There were only two people ahead of me. They have a nice display of pastries to gaze upon while you wait. Cue the flavor jets! I go to a lot of coffee shops and order a lot of ham and cheese croissants. There's is a pretzel croissant and it looked delicious! The woman in front of me ended up ordering the last one...which was a dagger to my bleeding heart. I'm more of a savory person than sweet, so I had to adjust in real time. I landed on the carrot cake croissant. Was it what I wanted? No. Was it yummy? Absolutely! Creamy, flaky, nutty, it was really tasty. If you're anywhere in the area, Edgewater Public Market is a must visit. Black Box is one of the standout businesses inside. And when I said viral at the beginning of this review, I mean it! Weekends are SLAMMED and lines are LONG. So, know what you want, and be prepared to wait for high quality pastries.

The fruits sandwich made with shokupan bread was light and fresh, an excellent pick-me-up. This is a standard Japanese snack done beautifully. The mixed berries (a Danish made with croissant dough) was a delight in looks and taste. Neither item was excessively sweet. They were just right. The beef curry wrapped in dough, crusted in panko crumbs, and deep-fried was excellent. The curry itself had real flavor and zest, and the surrounding crust was delicious too. Not only a great accompaniment, but also a very cool way to eat curry with your bare hands. A very generous serving too. My brother got the most beautiful-looking chocolate croissant! And my son bought himself a chocolate cornet, which surprised me by being soft baked dough. Haven't tasted them, but I couldn't wait to post this review. I look forward to trying something with cream cheese or custard next time. Unfortunately they were out of the bacon epi, but that happens with bakeries.
