I decided to have a post-lunch dessert here. It's located in a huge plaza so parking is easy. After grabbing tray and tongs, I walked around to see all the offerings inside the display cases. I noticed one of the cases had tiny gnats flying from pastry to pastry so eliminated all those potential choices within that particular case. I assume this is what happens when you have self-serve pastry cases and oblivious & boorish customers leave the case doors open. Luckily there were plenty of other options in multiple fly-free cases. There were so many pastries to pick from! After walking back and forth a while, I whittled it down to two choices: a blueberry cream cheese pastry and a chocolate supreme croissant. I took both! Instead of taking them home I decided to eat there. They have a few tables outside but I decided to sit indoors. The tables, chairs, and floors were very clean. The blueberry and cream cheese combo made for a delicious pastry. The chocolate supreme croissant was even more delicious. First of all you walk into the Gated area where there's outside dining and it's dirty uninviting and they have a planter that is just dead flowers. First impression zero! Then you go inside and they have these huge portable ACs and it's about 110° in there all the cases where the desserts are are picked over, sliding door was open. My husband and I stopped in for an iced matcha latte. I saw that the price for the small and the medium were just about the same so I ordered the larger size. I did point it out to the cashier. I am so excited that Paris Baguette is back in Aliso Viejo. The other location in the town center has been gone a few years now. This shopping center is catering to more Asian tastes, with the 99 Ranch, OMOMO, Marugame, Coco Ichibanya, and now Paris Baguette, which is fantastic. I do have to say that their prices are a tad higher than I'm used to seeing or maybe it's just because prices have gone up across the board. Good ingredients are expensive and I get it. Had the Christmas holiday cake. It was excellent, light, not too sweet, and beautifully presented. You can order online for pick up. This location opened its doors in November 2025. Glad there's now one in the area for French inspired Korean baked goods! Cakes run from $40.49 to 49.99. read more

I love the food at this bakery when it's there. We've been 4 times and 3 out of the 4 times it was basically empty with no choices. The items we went for that we liked were gone, and we had to settle for what was left. Not sure how they would fix this problem but it Is a problem because it just means we won't try again knowing it will be an empty bakery probably again. It's unfortunate but it's very true. So happy that Paris Baguette returned to AV! I have enjoyed their pastries for over a decade now and can confidently say that the quality of their pastries are on par with many of the little pastisseries I've had in Paris (considering they are a Korean-owned chan). This particular location, however, has been a hit or miss. If you happen to come in when the baked goods are fresh, you'll be in for a treat. Sadly I've also purchased some items that didn't taste the freshest. Prices are also a bit steep but not worse than Saffron or Chaupain nearby - just the consequences of retail rent in southern OC. Employee was pushing trash into garbage and went on to touch food products without washing hands. I asked him not to touch the cake and pastries that I ordered since he did not wash hands. Since I preordered a cake and other pastries, I was surprised that the pastries were not already boxed prior to my arrival. Employee had to go and pick items out of case upon my arrival. I was really excited to visit this Paris Baguette location since it's so conveniently close to my home, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. I came in to buy a box of pastries for work and also picked up a few individual breads to share with different coworkers. I politely asked if the breads could be placed in separate pastry bags, since they were for different people. The cashier (Mauricio) was immediately dismissive and repeatedly told me it was "too many bags," insisting they normally put everything together in one box. I tried to explain that the pastry box was for work and the breads were meant to be shared individually, but he continued to refuse unless I paid extra for each bag. I didn't want to waste more time arguing, so I ended up paying for the bags--but it left a really bad taste. Using individual pastry bags is extremely common at bakeries, so this interaction felt unnecessary and frustrating. What was meant to be a small, thoughtful gesture for my coworkers turned into a negative experience. I've honestly never encountered this kind of resistance at any pastry shop before. To make matters worse, I also ordered a coffee, and the lid was clearly broken and leaking. The staff struggled to put it on and ultimately just left it as-is, even though it was obvious it would spill and it did. Overall, the service felt unnecessarily rigid and unfriendly. I truly hope this location improves its customer service, because I wanted to love having a Paris Baguette so close by--but this experience made that difficult. read more

The bill came to more than $60 for the 4 of us with drinks. At first taste, it was apparent the baked goods we purchased were NOT fresh-baked and were, at least, day-old--what an astonishing disappointment for the prices charged. The pastries were dry and tough. The donuts were drenched in oil and soggy. Surprisingly, the staple of any French bakery, the croissant, was nowhere to be found. I asked the person behind the counter if they had croissants and was told they're still being baked.... really...at 8:30am on a Saturday-- who manages this place? Clearly nobody! This AV location is always a letdown. Never has the ingredients or supplies needed for half the drink menu. This time I ordered the Korean Iced Coffee and it tastes like just milk. The color is almost white. I point it out to the staff and they say there's nothing they can do, and that I can substitute it with another drink. I know people are going to agree with me, but this place is so overpriced for the quality! I believe it's a franchise, so it doesn't have the small business vibes. First of all the baked goods are self-serve in plastic bags, it almost feels like you don't automatically connect fresh baked with pastries in bags and self serve. It might just be related to the Korean style of bakeries but I thought the prices were so expensive for what we got. This concept of grab and go might work in a city but I'm not sure it's a good fit for Aliso Viejo. If you pass by on a Saturday morning this place should be packed, inside and outside, but it's not. The premade sandwich was exactly that, tasted premade. You just can't charge those tiers of prices if you're going to pre-make them and put them in the refrigerator. There's another bakery in town in Laguna Niguel on La Paz that charges similar prices but the quality just seems a step up and the sandwiches are made fresh to order plus the restaurant is so full you can hardly get a seat. Paris baguette really needs to step up their game to get people in there, maybe offer promotions, or offer tiered pricing for different types of items so people can experience it and not get sticker shock. On a positive note? It is very clean and the ambience is really cute, but I also find it hard to tip when it's self serve, pre-packaged especially for to-go orders. read more
