Didn't expect much when I stopped by. Karak - Weird name, right? It's a small place sitting on the corner of a plaza, the kind of spot you normally don't think twice about. Nevertheless, I stopped by and I'm sure happy that I did. The staff here are fantastic. Extremely friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming. I asked a ton of questions about their drinks and especially about their Pakistani chai, and they answered everything , as well as gave me a sample. Highly recommend it. The chai was rich, smooth, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing! Try it. So far I've tried their rose latte, lavender latte, cappuccino, and the chai. Every single drink was excellent and quite enjoyable to drink. With the local Peet's Coffee closing on February 1st, this was a very welcome discovery. There are a couple downsides though. First is the price. You're looking at around $8 for a medium espresso drink, and then the tip on top of that[[HIGHLIGHT]]. Second is the outdoor seating. You're basically sitting right in front of the parking lot, which kind of kills the vib[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]e. Not much can be done about that I'm afraid that the coffee shop is pretty small.. The 3 things I found positive about Karak House Coffee was free parking, pretty looking but grubby decor, and fragrant coffee that tasted bad. Oh wait. I guess the only positives I recall technically is the free parking part. The negatives? Slow, curt, and condescending customer service. No half caff or decaf option for coffee drinks. Or any other alternatives suggested if one wants anything to drink that's not caffeinated. Cake was soggy and gross. Overpriced for something that crappy all around. $20 for a drink and a slice of cake with a side of long wait and bad attitude. I'm staying down the street from Karak House Coffee and I have really enjoyed coming here. The workers had awesome energy from the moment I walked in. The first time I came I a rose cardamom hot latte- it was excellent. Perfect amount of flavor. I love when you can actually taste the flavors of a syrup. Really great size of coffee for the price. The second time I came I got the pistachio latte. Wow! I think it was the best pistachio latte I've ever had. The first time I came to Karak to get some work done and it worked nicely. Calm, relaxing atmosphere. Spots to sit. I didn't notice any wall chargers- so that was a bit of an issue for sitting and working for long periods, but I made it work. I've been following this shop on IG for a while for the matcha, signature chai and unique lattes. So many cool drinks to choose from. We went with the Golden Saffron latte since I didn't want any espresso in it. It has turmeric, saffron, cardamom in it which I love. It is not on the posted menu but the barista recommended it. Glad he did cuz it's good!! Non-dairy options are oat, almond and pistachop milk. (Sadly they don't offer soy milk). Cool decor and late hours makes this place a must visit! read more

Really chill place to have a relaxing nightcap. Good coffee with some bites. They also have a couple of heaters outside. For their outside seats and a number inside also.... I was in the area and needed a little caffeine pick me up, so I stopped by Karak House. The store itself is cozy and aesthetic with plenty of seats indoors. Service was also friendly and we got our drinks pretty quickly. They had a variety of different beverages and baked goods available. I ordered an iced latte and my husband ordered an Americano and we both really enjoyed our drinks. The coffee flavor in both were strong, which we appreciated. I wanted to try a new coffee shop and found this one. It's very cozy inside and was pretty busy. I went in around 10am and they were already sold out of their seasonal pumpkin cardamom latte (which I def want to go back and try). I ordered the iced biscoff latte and it was so good! At first I drank it with a straw and it wasn't sweet at all but then I started sipping from the cup and the foam on top is sweet so it's perfectly balanced with the coffee when you drink it that way. read more

This place is solid for drinks (Various lattes and teas) and enjoying a pastry! Their coffee here is really good, I also tried their Dubai chocolate bar ($18) and Dubai cookie ($10). I tried their signature karak chai and it was pretty decent, it has a strong smooth chai flavor, but comes unsweetened not the spices as is typical with other chai lattes at other cafes. I did take a star off due to the chai not being my cup of tea, I recommend their other drinks like the pistachio latte or cardamom latte! the Dubai cookie came really cold, once I was home I was able to heat it up and it was delicious! The chai was worth the hype and the biscotti cake was next level. They also carry the viral Dubai chocolate. $18 is steep but worth it. We really enjoyed the our lattes. We were helped by a nice young man and were given recommendations as to what we were looking for. I really love the taste of cardamom and ordered the cardamom and latte and it Delivered! We also tried a slice of the basque burnt cheesecake. It comes with a chocolate sauce on the side. This is a coffee shop I definitely frequent because they're one of the few places open so late! It makes for a great late night grind session if you study in cafes best. The service is awesome and they're super friendly here. They bring some delicious (and nostalgic if you're middle eastern) flavors to their coffees and cakes. My favorite is a hot cardamom or rose cardamom latte, and it's definitely gotten me through the worst of my assignments in college. The cafe itself is really cute, but it is a bit small so be prepared to sit outside or wait for a table. There's not a lot of outlets but if you get there at a good time you can find something!
