Love love love this bakery!!!! You'll be able to find something you like when you are here. Some of my favorite bread / pastry items are the peanut crumb bread, fruit pastry, mochi donut, and red bean bread. I still have so many I haven't tried yet! I've been there during the week and weekend and you'll have the best selection on a weekend. Lots of choices. During the weekday, your options are limited as some of the bread shelves are empty. I highly Recommend their strawberry soft cream cake !!!! Sooooo gooooood!!!! I usually get the one from Tous Les Jour because it is closer to me but decided to give theirs a try and it did not disappoint at all!! Sadly I only bought a slice. I will definitely be getting my next birthday cake from here! I love the whipped cream and sponge cake and fresh strawberries. Always feels like treating myself when I go to PB. It is a Korean bakery shop with a lot of fancy stuff including bakery items, cakes as well as coffee and drinks. There are trays that you can freely select the bread that you want to buy and they also have a good selection of cakes that suit for an Asian appetite, if you will. The service is quick, and there are a large area to sit down and chat. It is a good space to get together with friends for a quick coffee chat and an afternoon sweet treat, just like those in Korean dramas! Lol Bread and bakery are always good (but a bit pricey). Very high quality and always tasty. I continue to visit Paris Baguette because of their variety and service in the Houston, Texas location. I know this is the Glenview location and I shop since I'm in town visiting families several times a year. However, my experiences at the Glenview location have been disappointing from the first encounter in 2022. In July 2023, a manager named Taylor messaged me but never followed up. Recently, I bought 5 pastries and asked for a box for my flight. The cashier was unfriendly about this request. Although I scanned my app, I still haven't received my points three days later. Additionally, the Wi-Fi and outlets didn't work, and the staff acknowledged this issue. This is not the standard I expect from Paris Baguette. Improvements are much needed. Or is this the definition of insanity, expecting a different result yet the business is making no improvements? Other Yelpers ran into the same issues too. read more

I've been to this location multiple times since to study & eat, but this is my first time reviewing. This PB interior is huge & spacious. There's quite a few tables for people to sit down and study although I remember struggling with the WiFi from last time. The fruit tarts here are delicious and adorable, perfect sweet cream ratio to fruit. And I always love getting their iced americanos. On par with other PB locations in the US. I'm always so excited to pick out a bunch of items when I come in... and then always a little underwhelmed when eating. They always LOOK better than they taste. But they LOOK wonderful. Had the injulmi bingsoo - a whopping $14. Shaved milk ice felt a bit watered down, and there was way too much cereal and not enough rice cake (it LOOKs like there is more rice cake... but it's actually topped with cereal except for the last top layer) Peach Iced Tea - this is a sweet tea (unexpected but in a good way!) and refreshing. The inside is huge and all the tables are spaced along the window. Not sure whether this is a covid thing... interesting space. read more

We were in the mood for some desserts and these hit the spot. The only thing that didn't enjoy as much was the Iced Vanilla Latte. For the price, it was felt a bit small and could have used a bit more sugar. To be fair, we were craving another drink. I think it was a Brown Sugar tea but they were out of it or didn't have it at the time. The best thing was the Ganache Cream Cake. It was THE best chocolate cake I've ever tasted. I would love to have the whole cake but one slice was already nearly $6.50 but it was so worth it. Every bite was mouth-watering, it was moist and with the right amount of sweetness. There are bite of chocolate balls when you bite inside. Oh my, it was a tasty surprise. I loved it!! It also came with a chocolate macaroon which if you purchase separately would be about $2 (they have single macaroons too). The rest of their bake goods are also very tasty but it will add up as they are typically $3 -$5 a piece. We spent over $23 for just 5 small items. Frankly, they are somewhat pricer than most Korean bakeries (Korean treats are not cheap to start with) and the portions are not bigger. However, there is no denying they have tasty treats! I would trek back to this town just for this cake. Good thing this area has a lot of great eats so I could make my trip worth it and hit a few spots. I noted the price point is higher than Tous Les Jours, like a cake slice is $6.50 vs. $6 and looks a bit smaller too. Hubby and I have been excitedly waiting for the day that Paris Baguette would finally open since we pass by it frequently on the way to my parents' house. Hubby was dropping off something for my parents and lo' and behold...it was finally open! It was pretty busy on Black Friday in the afternoon and it was surprising/disappointing that one of the customers was freely wandering around without a mask during COVID times (shame on you). The selections of baked goods was slim but it seemed like they were pumping out more items in the back. We wanted to try some of their Portuguese egg tarts but they wouldn't have been ready for another 15 minutes. We decided to skip out this time and try the ones we had already selected (chocolate ganache cream donut, pineapple pastry, cheesecake, and coffee bun). All of the pastries were fresh and not too sweet (I highly dislike it when things are too sweet). If I had to choose a favorite out of the ones we tried I would go for the chocolate ganache cream donut. However, the prices are a bit higher than the other Korean bakeries in the area. I also wished that their drink selection was bigger but I am anticipating that they will expand their drink menu later in the game. read more

Finally! A Paris Baguette in the greater Chicagoland area! My baked goods dreams have been answered! Excited to see this popular franchise make its home in the Land of Lincoln. When you walk in you are greeted by a spacious interior that is thoughtfully laid out. Plenty of chairs and tables that are ready to go once COVID restrictions are lifted. I like the spaciousness so that you are not in the way of other pastry loving aficionados. Interior is clean and bright. Staff is super nice and cheery. I dropped by on their first day of soft opening, but you couldn't tell it's day one. The breads kept getting replenished. Staff busy at work. It's as though they have been operating for awhile. Now onto the baked goods! Fresh, delicious, not too overpoweringly sweet. Their croissants are soft and delicious. The cookies! I have tried gingerbread and chocolate chip. Chunky, soft, excellent! I also purchased one of their rainbow cakes for Thanksgiving dinner. Perfectly moist, and again not too rich. Which is perfect! There are other cakes snd cheesecakes I plan on trying. They also have tasty sandwiches! Egg salad, chicken salad, smoked salmon were all amazing. There are some sandwiches you can get toasted. Try their iced milk coffee. Refreshingly perfect! Now some may be turned off by the price. It may seem higher than what you can get anywhere else. Typical pastries were anywhere around $2-4 (depending on the complexity of the pastry), and the small Rainbow cake was $39. But! This is Paris Baguette! And the "higher" cost is because of better quality and taste. And I highly recommend! I was very excited to make a stop at this newly opened Paris Baguette. Paris Baguette is well known franchise in South Korea and in few other countries including US. It's amazing how this place opened up during pandemic while many businesses are failing. I love Paris Baguette! I've been to many different locations and this location is one of few big stores I've been to. Paris Baguette locations I've been to: NY, L.A., Las Vegas, and South Korea This store is located in a strip mall next to a big Asian market called JoongBoo. It sits on the corner of Milwaukee Ave and Central Rd so it's easy to spot. Parking is convenient since the strip mall shares big parking lot with JoongBoo market. I was inside the store for about ten minutes and customers were flowing in and out. Therefore products on shelves were continuously moving. If you walk in at the wrong time, you might miss out. I walked in around 2pm ish and store had pretty good variety of pastries. Cakes in the displays looked AMAZING!! My favorite is blueberry yogurt cake. It's so light and gently sweetened. Also I love their mini soft cheesecake that's very fluffy and light. Most of pastries are good too. I just have my favorites. They are all excellent right out of oven. But, when you take it home if it's a day old, few minutes in the toaster oven makes it good again. This location is very spacious so when checking out in line you can safely socially distance yourself from others. Line moved pretty fast. Also, you can see the seating areas being closed due to COVID restrictions at this time but it can be a cool place to hang out for a dessert with friends or family. read more

First thing you notice upon entering is the space, there is plenty of it. At this point during COVID they are allowing people to eat inside, so I also noticed a lady walking around unmasked grabbing more baked goods. They have a good variety of bakery items to choose from some are inside displays, but individually wrapped and some are out on counters, individually wrapped as well. I decided to grab the sweet cream red bean bun and a crossiant. The sweet cream red bean bun is exactly as it says some cream with red bean for the filling. The bread part of the bun I didnt like as much because for me it was dry and not as moist as I like the breads. The crossiant was good, light and flaky, I even toasted it a bit at home the next day. They have a rewards program that you can sign up for (when you sign up you get a free coffee with purchase) and you can accumulate points to go towards other rewards. Overall I think there was a lot of hype for this place and if you like the Korean type bakery goods this place is for you. I'm more partial to other type of bakery goods from chains that are unfortunately not in this state- ie 85 degrees. read more

My wife and I have been eyeing this place for a while now so we were excited when it finally opened! We were looking forward to trying their Portuguese egg tarts and their cheese tarts, but they were already out of those by the time we got there. Been here twice already and pickings were pretty slim both times, although we went in the late afternoon both times so we'll have to try going earlier. They do have a good amount of other items to choose from though. Of note: the first time we were here, we saw a customer walk in without a mask on. I was waiting to see if any of the employees would do anything to enforce their policy or even acknowledge it, but unfortunately no one did. I understand that they were busy, but that's kiiiiind of an important detail that should not be missed. We left soon afterwards anyway since we already paid for our pastries. However, I'm pretty sure I saw the same customer during my second visit and she was wearing a mask this time, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that someone did speak with the customer after we had left that first time. Anyhoo, onto the goodies. Between the two visits, we got a Chocolate Ganache King Creme Donut, two Coffee Buns, a Pineapple Brulee Pastry, a Peppermint Ganache King Creme Donut (seasonal item), Mini Walnut Tart (seasonal item), Soft Cheesecake, Mr. Bear, and a matcha latte (not pictured). My wife liked the matcha latte and she's pretty picky about her matcha lattes. Everything tasted good and pretty fresh, although the filling of the Peppermint Ganache King Creme Donut tasted more like a chocolate chip mint instead of peppermint (the candy cane is white chocolate + peppermint). Mr. Bear was essentially just a chocolate cake; it was soft but nothing really outstanding about it. I do wish the coffee bun had some sort of filling since I feel like that would be the perfect touch (for me, at least). The inside is very spacious and would be a great place to hang out/do work/study, so it's really a shame that they're unable to actually use it right now because of COVID. I first went to one of these in Cali. It's an upscale asian bakery that serves prepackaged baked goods, and some that you can also pick out using a tray and tongs. Coffee drinks are available to order and everything is worth trying! I really liked this place, and now that I understand the process, my second visit will feel a lot less awkward. Very spacious, well lit and impeccably clean, almost "Food Court" like, Bakery. Everything is self serve, and lots of goodies to choose from including beautiful looking individual slices of various cakes, donuts, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and much more, all beautifully displayed. Just grab a very clean looking tray and some tongs, and go to work making your choices. Don't forget to bring your tongs when you go to check out, as they use them to bag up your baked goods on your tray for you. I had to get out of line to go retrieve mine. I chose a chocolate and a plain croissant, a croissant breakfast sandwich and a Greek yogurt cherry danish. It took lots of discipline to not get more, especially a slice or two of the cakes; next time. I had the option of having my pre wrapped breakfast sandwich toasted, but I opted to do this at home in my oven. I also got a brewed LaVazza coffee to go. My croissant had that beautiful egg wash glean, and it was perfect. My bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was phenomenal, equal to the task, was my Danish choice, which I will never pass up when I go there! I travel a lot for work and I make it a point to see if there is Paris Baguette near me wherever I'm staying. This Glenview location seems bigger than most I've visited, but had the same items with the same quality as the others. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich and a croissant as well as my coffee. I have to say though, I was a bit surprised that the selection wasn't great as half the display cases were empty when I visited at around 7:45 am on a Friday. Maybe they were just behind? Just a word of advice to the business owner: You might want to have someone at checkout who makes eye contact with the customers and at least acknowledges them. The person who helped me barely said two words to me and seemed like he would rather be anywhere else on the planet than behind that counter. I thought this was just ok. The store was really really nicely put together! I just wish the food tasted as good as everything looked. Pastries and food was just ok. I bought a decent amount and a variety of food too!! I think there's room for improvement. Also in regards to corona their stuff is in containers that each customer has to touch and open. I've been purchasing pastries from this location for a while now. My last purchase included a berry tart ($7.99!), which grew a fuzzy mold. I discovered this at home. I went to the location to get a refund, but the person behind the counter informed me they couldn't do anything without the manager's approval (who wasn't in). I left my phone number and asked them to contact me. I have not heard back from anyone, so I called them only to find out the manager is in at 2 pm. Again, I asked for a callback and a refund for a moldy pastry. Another day, and I'm still waiting... The fact that the manager didn't get back to me and ignored the situation upsets me more than a moldy tart. I'm not coming back to this location. read more

It's more like 3.5 stars. My only experience with Paris Baguette was in Seoul, so I love how spacious, clean and bright this store is. The pastries and sandwiches seem to taste fresher than its competitors down the block. Let's hope they will keep it up (coz this wasn't the case with those I visited in Seoul). We almost got one of everything today...I was surprised seeing that they have the "milk tart" and japanese cheesecake, my favourite asian pastries! For savoury item, the crab coquette was surprisingly good. I would skip the cream cheese rice donut though. The egg sandwich and ham sandwich were good, but not sure if they worth the price. The ham and cheese sandwich had jam in it. The jam takes away the mild favour of the cheese and creamy texture that I usually enjoy when I have the "asian ham & cheese sandwich". Worth visiting and getting cake for special occasion. read more
