I came in this morning about seven in the morning like I usually do on Fridays. I love this place. It's a great place. Their honey castella is always my kid's favorite and rudolph chocolate cake with strawberry for this Christmas was just a big hit among my family. I do want Paris Baguette do well during Covid that's why I consistently visited them and supported them like I always used to. Just wanted to give a quick note to the bakers in the back, please cover proper mask alway don't hang it on your chin and keep talking while making orders. I really wanted to cancel my order despite the long wait (although I ordered a day before) when I starred at the bakers making my cake talking to each other with masks on their chin. I sent out my laser beam over the glass, hoping he would see my eyes and wear his mask properly and stop talking, thankfully he saw me and did pull up his mask to mouse... phew... The first time I went to one of these locations was a little before the pandemic. I had a friend who was looking for a cake to bring to another friend's birthday and they had a fair selection available around 7-8 PM which was impressive. I came back months later to pick something for a safe, socially distanced Lunar New Year celebration and picked up a cake from the case. They packaged it in a cake box with a cake knife/serving tool to go and if you join their rewards program, you can earn rewards for every purchase. (Please note that rewards can only be used on pastries in the cases that you pick things from and put on a tray. They don't work on loaves of bread, cakes, or the castellas.) Staff are okay at this location. I'll admit I've come during the afternoon and maybe they're a little worn down after the morning crush. No one is rude but I've not met anyone who is a standout employee. The cases are pretty well stocked whenever I've gone and the choices are delicious. I love their cream pan buns and the tiramisu tarts. The savory options are good too - I recommend hearing them up for a short period in the microwave to really enjoy them. The castella cakes are fluffy and light - one of my new favorites. The parking is pretty good. It shares a lot with Target and a Sola Salon. People do drive a little faster than the speed limit - be really careful backing out of a spot as some people just going zipping out of the rows to leave or find a spot. I ordered a cake to pickup at 1pm today. Here's the reason I give one star: when they first got the cake out, the box is clearly dirty on side, and the box is wet. I don't know what happened to my cake and what caused this. The employee who took my cake out looked at me as they are trying to hide something. Then she talked to another employee for a few moments and changed a box for me. The thing is, if the box is completely wet and dirty on side, what caused this and shouldn't you change the whole thing instead of take it out and put it into another box? This place is located next door to Capital Noodle. When you walk in, there is a sign directing you to utilize sanitizing procedures to make sure one does NOT grab their pastries from the cubbies with your bare hands! I appreciate that ALOT! Grab you tongs and a pair of gloves with your tray, pick out your items and bring everything back to the register. Pretty easy and straightforward. They do the rest : packing, packaging , etc to make sure your treat makes it home in one piece unless you decide to devour it onsite . That's also an option, with seating available inside and outside has a bench I saw some people using to eat their treats . Soo much stuff to choose from , I swear they have something for everyone. Bakes items, custards, chocolate croissants, macaroons, cake, etc. I choose a pastry with custard and topped with fresh strawberries ( Strawberry Croissant) fruit. Along with Fresh Blue Berry yogurt cake item ( they are famous for this item) and a Mini Bon Delicieux-wrapped sponge cake ( moist castella with pure honey) item from the fridge. Honestly , another lady was buying a bunch and I figured, why not try it? BEST-CHOICE EVER! Everything I choose honestly was awesome. I would come here again and again. I will be back to try other items and to buy an entire Blue Berry Yogurt cake made with the fresh blue berries !!! Soo good.!! The slice I bought was flavorful, light, had fresh fruit, and delightfully delicious!! A must try!! I'm actually craving it again! It's not overloaded with sugar and just perfect. I was surprised when I walked in and there was a full wall of pastries..! I'm sure the pastries must taste better earlier in the day, but I came here at 6pm in the evening, so by that time the freshness wasn't quite there anymore ... but it was still good, haha and I plan to come again to see how things are earlier in the day. It occurred to me after eating one pastry that I should take the rest home and heat them up - that helped. I liked the cheese pastries and fruit tarts the best. There is a lot of seating, but I'm not sure how others say that they camp out with laptops - there aren't a lot of outlets and the seating isn't made to sit for a long time. I highly recommend visiting if you love pastries and desserts - I will defintely return for more. Stopped by for a snack, I love Asian bakeries and their self serve bakery cases. The cakes and breads are very cute and tasty here. I wish this location had more options as many of the pastries on display seemed only to have one or two left and there are many empty spaces for items already sold out. Also disturbing was the use of single portion creamers at the coffee stand instead of a large thermos carafe of half and half as many coffee shops do. This generates a lot of unnecessary plastic waste per customer. Personally I enjoy hot beverages with plenty of cream and was forced to use 3 tiny plastic cups that went straight into the garbage with no option for recycling. Love the Earth better please. The service was prompt and courteous but that was to be expected since there were no other customers waiting to buy anything while I was there. Parking is a bit of a chore at this location because the spots in front of the store have a 10-minute limit but that was fine for me since I only wanted a quick in and out and was not looking to stay to eat there. Extremely disappointed with this location. We ordered a berry tart and a green tea cake slice. Upon opening up at home we noticed that the fruit on top of the tart was rotten with visible mold. Took off all the fruits and tried to finish the tart part but it was noticeably not fresh either. Could not take more than a few bites before feeling utterly and completely Disgusted. The cake slice was not much better - no mold on the strawberries but they looked visibly bruised and bad. The quality at this location is questionable, taste is sup par (from taste purely - everything runs on the sweeter side) and we definitely won't be going back. Paris Baguette is a bakery chain with origins from Korea. They offer breads, pastries, and coffee. The sweets here are Asian based and as such are not very sweet as compared to American and European pastries. The bakery operates like most Asian bakeries where one takes a tray and uses some tongs to pick up pastries and other goods behind a display case. There are some macarons and cakes in the front where one of the cashiers can assist. I went with a fruit bite, soft cheesecake, and a mini rice donut. Fruit bite ($1.40) - This pastry consisted of a croissant bread, custard filling, and some fruit on top. It was the best thing that I tried here. The custard and fruit tasted pretty good, however the croissant wasn't as flaky as some of the better places that I have tried. The croissant was on par with ones that one might find at Costco. Mini rice donut ($.80) - This is like a donut hole with sugar on the outside and glutinous rice on the inside. I've tried these at another Korean bakery, Bon Epi and they tasted incredible there. For some reason the ones here tasted a little stale. Soft cheesecake ($3) - This was by far the biggest disappointment. Basically this is a sponge cake with a slight cheesy taste to it. This was no where near what a cheesecake should be. Overall, I left a little disappointed with the baked goods that I tried. Perhaps it was the items I ordered, but I doubt I will be back. read more

Really disappointed with the matcha strawberry cake :( It had no matcha flavor and tasted like something you can easily make at home for the price point... I scheduled for the cake to be ready at 7:30 Monday evening. I go and pick up the cake and it's not even ready. I don't mind waiting, but one of the employees was rushing to write the name on the cake. I don't appreciate a sloppy and messy job, especially if I'm paying for a cake to be done correctly. I wasn't even shown the writing! I called the store to voice my concern, and the manager told me there was nothing he can do about it and didn't even apologize about the issue. It's really disappointing to hear when you're a paying customer, and to not even try to fix it. Because of this, I won't give business to Paris Baguette again. read more

I placed a birthday cake order in person in mid-November for a mid-December birthday. Filled out the paperwork, requested a specific message, and paid the full fee. Basically, I did everything they asked. The day before my pickup, I called the store just to confirm that we're still good for the birthday cake pickup. A woman who picked up the phone said yes. Now. I think you might know where this review is going. The next day, I went to pick up the cake. The cashier couldn't find my order. He asked to see my receipt. I showed him the receipt. He went to and from the back room, pacing because he couldn't find my cake. I know he wasn't really at fault and the two ladies who took my cake order should've better communicated everything. But this cashier essentially said we have your order don't worry, when in reality he did not. We ended the debacle by just picking a cake from the display, and it wasn't what we wanted for the birthday party. The cake tasted good, but the miscommunication among employees at the store is atrocious. I don't expect to pay upfront for an item that cannot be guaranteed on the day requested, especially after calling to confirm the day before scheduled pickup. We were not offered a refund for the mistake. If you're going for just a quick in and out bag of pastries to go, I don't think there should be any problems. But if it's going to be an in person cake order weeks in advance, beware. Your order may get lost. read more

Ahh, Paris Baguette feels like home to me. I grew up coming here and visiting one in Korea lots of times. Although many people think Paris Baguette has become one of those average chain bakeries, I still love stopping by. Although Paris Baguette has lots of great options, I personally love the cakes and the roll cakes. I think I've tried most of the cakes here over the years, and I have to say that my faves are the Blueberry Chiffon, Strawberry Yogurt Cake, New York Cheesecake, the Soft Cream Cake, and the Tiramisu. As for the bread items, I love the Castellas, the Egg/Cheese tarts, the Cronut and the Cheese pastries. The Milk Bread is also spot-on. The service here has always been consistently pretty good, and they're operating fairly well during COVID. This location is one of the cleaner ones I've been too for sure. I decided to try the brownie , gingersnap cookie and chocolate chip cookie. The ginger snap cookie was absolutely phenomenal! The chocolate chip cookie wasn't good unfortunately. The brownie was also very good!! I would come back to get more pastries , the only thing is that the prices are sorta steep for what you are getting. Wanted a small dessert or snack so decided to stop in after grabbing lunch. Wasn't too impressed with the options. But decided on a crab filled donut and red bean filled donuts. Was excited to try the crab one since I've never seen that before and I've been to ones in Korea but I was disappointed that it was extremely greasy. I know that donuts are fried but maybe it seemed greasier than normal because it wasn't fresh. But it was ok tasting, needs more seasoning. I've had their cakes before and it was good! So I'd stick with that. Also, cringing at the amount of plastic they use in wrapping each item. Came to Paris Baguette to get some pastries with a friend. They did NOT have a sign with peanut allergies in front of their pastries, so my friend bought it unknowing, ate it, and had a pretty bad allergic reaction (throat tightened, mouth itchy). Unbelievable that they did not have a sign for nut allergies especially because it's a HEALTH HAZARD. Even after warning them about the pastry without a sign, they failed to put one up. We put a sign in the pastry case writing "contains peanuts", because they didn't even after asking two employees about it.
