I would say anything croissant-based is delicious as they have their recipe down. I ordered thru their app bc they had a $3 promo on any medium latte. Ordering on the app was easy. I arrived 15 mins early. They greeted me as I walked in. I let them know I had a mobile order. I've come in here twice before, once to get my birthday cake, and once to get a little tart. Both times the experience was incredible! I love the little glass cases filled with pastries. It makes the environment feel very warm. The two ladies that work at the counter are always the sweetest as well. They always have a big smile, and they wish me a happy birthday when I got my cake! I am long overdue for a review to Paris Baguette locations. I've gotten my family accustomed to Paris Baguette because I bring home sweet treats every time I am in OC. The OC has so many amazing bakeries/coffee shops! We prefer these coffee shops/bakeries over Starbucks. On a recent visit to Mitsuwa Market, just off the 5 Freeway, Exit Culver, there's a bakery inside I usually stop at because of my cravings for mochi donuts, but I decided to visit Paris Baguette since my guy had never been inside one before and they happen to be at the opposite end of the shopping center. I loved getting familiar again with this shopping center. I am reminded how much I love the OC because there are so many better restaurants and markets than my neighborhood. Paris Baguette , despite being a "chain store" brand, I love that they have consistently exceptional customer service and recognized to be of high caliber with everything they do: beverages, bakery selections and designs, deli, food handling, care and cleanliness, takeout presentation for instance. They remind me of the reputable bakeries in Europe I miss. This location is just as friendly and welcoming. I especially love that they're near my Korean and Japanese markets, I like this particular location and the one near a Zion Market, I believe. Ample parking available. This center also includes a Daiso, and so many restaurants like Chan Chan, ramen, shabu, also a bank, bike shop, etc. Inside, there are many delicious bakery and deli items to try, I have to return with a bigger appetite. I never knew they offer deli items: an egg salad sandwich. Bright, clean, so many seating options inside and outside. Croissants, cakes and macarons especially look decadent! Tried their cronuts, slice of their amazing strawberry cream cake, a few more pastries, mochi donut with red bean, and an iced coffee. Everything was delicious. No doubt, the earlier hours make the pastries even more decadent and flavorful, but even around 4pm, their pastries felt light and sweet, and my family and I enjoyed everything we tried. Note: In my experience, I've enjoyed their cakes for special occasions. Their cakes make anyone feel extra special. They're beautifully decorated and delicious. A few days after coming here for a yelp event I decided to return to try some different offerings. This location is in Heritage Plaza at the opposite end from where MItsuwa is. As you do in most Asian bakeries, grab a tray and tongs and select any pastries you want from the many offerings then take your tray full of goodies to the counter. If you want a slice of cake or a drink, order that at the counter. I grabbed a coffee croissant donut from one of the pastry shelves. I also asked for a slice of mocha cake and a hot latte. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I decided to enjoy my order there but the interior seating was full. Luckily it was a pleasant day and there were several empty tables outside where I went to sit. The fresh coffee donut was actually a cronut with a custard filling. The glaze (with coffee sprinkles) on top had a light coffee taste and a tiny piece of chocolate atop the glaze was a nice touch. This was an incredible pastry and I would get this any time I visited Paris Baguette. The mocha cake was good, very moist and not very sweet. It sorta tasted faintly like coffee (from the cream between layers) but I couldn't detect any chocolate flavor which you'd expect from something labeled "mocha". I liked this slice of cake but it didn't have the flavor I was expecting...and I'm still really not sure what it tasted like. The latte was fine, just your average latte. Their pastries are what I like the most and, considering the large selection they offer, will keep me busy trying them all for a long while. read more
