Be careful! Loaded perishable boxes sat outside the doors to the bakery for over 2 hours- at least from what I know of when I passed by and later returned to the shipping center. From 11am-1pm. It is the hottest day of the year at 90 degrees today. I would say anything croissant-based is delicious as they have their recipe down. Recently, I got their: Maple Pecan Pastry $4- like a turnover, with flaky bits of puff pastry and glazed pecans on top- 5 stars Cinnamon Sugar Churro Mini Croissants with caramel sauce $7.50- 5 flaky, mini croissants. Great deal and crunch/chew. Great on its own, no need for the caramel sauce- 5 stars Dubai Chocolate Mochi Donut $5.10- Cherry and very good, although a little pricey for the size- 4 stars. I ordered thru their app bc they had a $3 promo on any medium latte. Ordering on the app was easy. I arrived 15 mins early. They greeted me as I walked in. I let them know I had a mobile order. They saw my order and worked on it right away. I ordered their matcha latte with extra shot, extra hot with oat milk and whipped cream. I tried it and it was exactly as I ordered it! It was very hot, the oatmilk tastes fresh like it was a new carton they opened and matcha tasted like quality matcha. It was the perfect delicious made drink to start my morning. The crowd was not super busy but while I enjoyed my drink, by 8:30am a line was forming at the baked goods and people started to arrive picking up their mobile drink/food orders. I've come in here twice before, once to get my birthday cake, and once to get a little tart. Both times the experience was incredible! I love the little glass cases filled with pastries. It makes the environment feel very warm. The two ladies that work at the counter are always the sweetest as well. They always have a big smile, and they wish me a happy birthday when I got my cake! I also got the iced Carmel macchiato which was okay, not the best I've had but good. The only thing I would say is the employee taking my order seemed annoyed. Unfortunately, the ham and cheese croissant have only a thin slice of ham measuring about 1 inch by 1 inch, and the same is the case with the bacon egg and cheese croissant, which features what I could describe as bacon bits, and one egg instead of the two that other locations serve on this sandwich. Poor experience, and won't be back to this location, unless it's just for the cherry yogurt danish. (Why are the blueberry cream cheese ones about half the size of the cherry yogurt danish now days? I am long overdue for a review to Paris Baguette locations. I've gotten my family accustomed to Paris Baguette because I bring home sweet treats every time I am in OC. The OC has so many amazing bakeries/coffee shops! We prefer these coffee shops/bakeries over Starbucks. On a recent visit to Mitsuwa Market, just off the 5 Freeway, Exit Culver, there's a bakery inside I usually stop at because of my cravings for mochi donuts, but I decided to visit Paris Baguette since my guy had never been inside one before and they happen to be at the opposite end of the shopping center. I loved getting familiar again with this shopping center. I am reminded how much I love the OC because there are so many better restaurants and markets than my neighborhood. Paris Baguette , despite being a "chain store" brand, I love that they have consistently exceptional customer service and recognized to be of high caliber with everything they do: beverages, bakery selections and designs, deli, food handling, care and cleanliness, takeout presentation for instance. They remind me of the reputable bakeries in Europe I miss. This location is just as friendly and welcoming. I especially love that they're near my Korean and Japanese markets, I like this particular location and the one near a Zion Market, I believe. Ample parking available. This center also includes a Daiso, and so many restaurants like Chan Chan, ramen, shabu, also a bank, bike shop, etc. Inside, there are many delicious bakery and deli items to try, I have to return with a bigger appetite. I never knew they offer deli items: an egg salad sandwich. Bright, clean, so many seating options inside and outside. Croissants, cakes and macarons especially look decadent! Tried their cronuts, slice of their amazing strawberry cream cake, a few more pastries, mochi donut with red bean, and an iced coffee. Everything was delicious. No doubt, the earlier hours make the pastries even more decadent and flavorful, but even around 4pm, their pastries felt light and sweet, and my family and I enjoyed everything we tried. Note: In my experience, I've enjoyed their cakes for special occasions. Their cakes make anyone feel extra special. They're beautifully decorated and delicious.
