I always like stopping by Tous Les Jours for some delicious pastries. This location is inside the Hmart grocery store and food court. There is plenty of seating inside the food court and it is really spacious. They have a selection of pastries, breads, cakes and also sell drinks. Their pastries are always fresh and fluffy with my favorites being the vanilla donut and cream puffs. Service is always friendly and there's never a line or wait time. This mini version of Tous Les Jours is inside H-Mart, the first thing you see if you enter through the Market Eatery doors. There is a small area crammed with bakery goods where you do the usual grabbing of tongs and select what you want to purchase. They also offer a variety of drinks and cakes. I was driving around, taking care of errands, and wanted a coffee and an easy-to-eat snack. The woman behind the register was very nice and took my order of a hot vanilla latte and four macarons: chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, and coffee. She went to make the coffee when I realized it was one of those small, push-the-button and walk-away machines. Something you'd expect at a gas station quickie-mart. I had low expectations... which were met. Surprisingly, it wasn't awful. But not great either. Poor coffee but a nice blend of vanilla with the espresso. It was served extremely hot in a paper cup; it took 20 minutes before I could drink it. The macarons all had great texture. The problem was the flavor. I expect the flavors to really pop. The raspberry was by far the best, a delicious, full-bodied raspberry taste. The chocolate was good too, well-rounded chocolate flavor without being obnoxiously sweet. The vanilla flavor was way too light and the coffee seemed to have no flavor at all, just some sort of light cream taste. There are lots of seats in the food court area if you want to enjoy your purchases there. Most folks seemed to be taking theirs to-go. I only came here for a hazelnut iced latte. It was after stopping by the hmart food court and having lunch and I just wanted an afternoon pick-me-up to make it through the end of my workday. The hazelnut iced latte was definitely on the sweeter side. I was expecting a sweet drink but was not expecting it to be THAT sweet. The service was good - the worker took my order fairly quickly and my drink came out pretty quick too. There is no seating here as this sits between the hmart supermarket and the food court... so expect a standing type of ambiance while you wait. Though, it's easy to grab and go or simply grab and have a seat at the food court while you have a delicious meal. Since this is inside the hmart, the parking is plentiful and super easy. I went inside the Hmart looking for a snack. I ended up in the food hall area. I remember seeing this pop up on my Google Maps. I saw that the menu had a tiramisu latte and I know I had to try it. Found a WHOLE DENTAL FLOSS PICK inside the Earl Grey cake I purchased on 1/28/25. Absolutely disgusted by this and even more outraged by how this bakery handled a serious food safety violation. I bought a full cake on 1/28 and brought it to my aunt's house for Chinese New Year dinner. While eating, my sister shockingly found a floss pick with a sharp end inside her slice of cake. By that time, most of my family had already eaten their portions. This wasn't just revolting--it was a major health hazard and a choking risk. When I contacted the bakery, they initially agreed to a refund. But the next day, they backtracked, claiming their manager was out of town and per policy they wouldn't issue a refund unless I physically returned the cake--even though I had already explained that we threw it out in disgust after taking pictures as proof. Let's be real--does this bakery seriously expect me to store their contaminated cake, floss pick and all, in my fridge for days just so I can bring it back to them? That's beyond unreasonable. To make matters worse, instead of taking responsibility for their disgusting mistake, they hid behind a ridiculous policy and inconvenienced the customer after selling a cake with literal garbage inside. This bakery clearly doesn't take food safety seriously and has no problem dismissing legitimate health concerns. The way they handled this is absolutely appalling. This bakery is located in the food court area of H-Mart on Culver in Irvine. As a fan of Asian bakery goods, I really enjoyed the cream puff which had a surprise peanut butter cookie crumble baked into the outer pastry part. I didn't see a note about peanuts on the display case but luckily I'm not allergic to peanuts but I know people who are. The kids and I came to H Mart with the intention to buy some meat for grilling, but of course the mouthwatering, hunger-inducing pastries of this place caught our attention. So, we stopped and browsed at their slew of baked goods. I was so full from lunch, so I was so sure to take a pass, but their CREAM-FILLED BEAD ROLLS caught my eye. I picked it up, looked at it, and made a conscious decision not to get it. I gave myself a pat on the back for being able to resist. Then a lady came storming in and grabbed a bunch of those rolls and only left three. I was dumbfounded, and shocked that the container only had few left. So, I immediately grabbed the last three before anyone would beat me to it LOL....darn it, there goes my mindful eating. Those Cream-filled Bread Rolls were indeed worth my impulsiveness. The bread was so pillowy soft, and the cream wasn't too sweet at all. It needs a bit more cream and buttery taste to get it to the next level, but the extra soft bread made up for it. They're located right next to a food court, so we asked for utensils and plates to have a whole cake (~$50). I wanted dessert and thought I would take a break from Paris Baguette. This place was hard to find. I didn't know it was inside Hmart. When I went in the way Hmart is configured you have to go right. Anyway, the bakery is left of the entrance to HMart. Head towards the restroom and you'll find it. It's small. We went there 40 minutes before closing and they seem to be packing up already. So strange. The service here not so great. The goods are pricey. I'm not sure it was worth it. I got 3 cheesecake souffle. Uncle Tetsu is better. I got the soft milk bread cream. That was very good.
