Delicious pastries and coffee. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone:)

Usually Can't buy coffee bun at another store !

I like here . Very nice customer service. I am usually going to Chinatown. Sometimes good people are front of service but sometimes ( manager?) yelling to other workers so I don't like that. But here is very friendly... and more open space .

Got a special of theirs, a salted caramel cold brew latte. I try to be open to variations in food and drink but even though it was refreshing on this hot probably 90 degree day, the coffee was so watered down it was hard to tell it was coffee at all. Staff is friendly. As they extended their hours (fairly) recently, maybe the staff is tired to stay here longer. I'd say they specialize in their bakery the best. This cold brew is something I'd be happy if I made or a friend made for me but from a place with an established name, if I see a local or another place that does similar nearby within the last minute convenient hours I am around, I am more likely to go with that option instead in the future:

If you want to get a slice of cake, you go to the counter and the staff will bring it from the kitchen.

The ambience is pretty great with hit music and nice wall designs. The workers seemed happy to see us and, took care of us quickly. Doughnut was dry and not seasoned enough tho.

This cake shop always has what I need. As I walked in, I was greeted with the bright, airy and inviting interior. There is a cute blue mural to one wall and there's ample booth and table seating. These areas are great for studying and/or snacking. The pastries were illuminated in the cases, the flakey crusts glistening. They all looked delicious. In the back refrigerated area they had some of their infamous macaroons and my favorite cheesecake--not too sweet, just the right size to celebrate but not TOO much cheese for us lactose-intolerant folks. As I made my way to the front I saw what I came for: a cake to celebrate! I asked the girl in the front who was super sweet and willing to help. Although they have the flavor placards on the cake displays, I asked for a specific flavor profile--not too sweet, not too frilly, light and airy cake filled with fruit. She was able to give me recommendations, packed my cake and sealed it with cutlery and candles included! Overall, a sweet experience. These cakes are ALWAYS a crowd pleaser!

Nice cakes. My friends and I bought a cake here for our small New Year's Eve gathering. It was unfortunate they don't really have theme cakes, so we just picked up the one that they had on display. We got this delicious mocha cake, and it was tasty. Staff seemed a little indifferent, but maybe they were tired or just don't really care.

What is this amazing place?! I can't believe a wonderland of treats exists in the vicinity of my house. F and I ventured into this establishment based on the reviews of my fellow Yelpers. And we are so glad we now are in the know. When you first walk in to Paris Baguette, you are struck by the vast clean and bright space. Then you come upon the rows and rows of beautiful pastries, muffins, cakes and more. How do you choose? It ain't easy! F picked a creme pastry, I chose a mango goodie. We both ordered coffee. Everything was delicious! This place really is amazing. Not only does everything look beautiful, but it tastes great, too. This is definitely our go to sweet treat place, when we are in the neighborhood.

I got married last Friday, and the custom bakery we worked with for our cake straight up forgot to make it! Imagine our disappointment and stress when we came to pick up our cake for our micro wedding and the other bakery had no idea what we were talking about! After picking our jaws up off the floor, we drove straight to Paris Baguette and picked up a Blueberry Chiffon cake (for just $40)! The cake was beautiful, elegant, and delicious! I love that it was not sugar-forward and was so fresh and light. It also looked great with our other desserts, and was no less special than or $160 custom cake would have been. Thank you Paris Baguette! You will always have a special place in our hearts, and we will definitely come back for pastries and birthday cakes in the future!

When you enter, you're immediately overwhelmed (in the best possible way) with the number of pastries to choose from! It's a serve-yourself style where you pick up a tray, use tongs and open the sliding doors to choose your sweets. You can fill up your tray with as much as you want and then bring it up to the cashier. At the register, you can order your beverage and baristas will make it for you there. When I went in I was surprised by how spacious it is. There are lots of tables and chairs to sit down at including some built in booths, which is unique for a cafe. I got a chocolate-filled croissant and a chai latte and I was very pleased! Everything was fresh and delicious. This is a great new spot and is very much needed on this side of town. I'm excited to make this a regular place!

I'd recommend the cinnamon rolls! -- The Sugary offers a variety of desserts ranging from cookies, cakes, muffins, and cupcakes. There are also a variety of "birthday/celebration items," like cards and candles. The interior is small, with one table, but very clean and well-decorated. The service is quick and conducive for to-go orders and they accept credit card. As there is only one register, if there is a line, it may take a while. When I was there, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I ordered the cheesecake, rainbow cookie, and cinnamon roll. These were all so delicious and I'll be back soon for more! The cheesecake was decadent but had depth to its flavor and the crust was thick and solid. I really enjoyed the slice and it was large enough to be shared, so I felt the price was spot on for the value. The rainbow cookie was one of the best I've ever had, with its rich chocolate flavor, and was an elevated version of ones I've had in the past. Lastly, the cinnamon roll was a bit too sweet for me, but otherwise it was what I'd call "a perfect cinnamon roll." Fluffy, cinnamon-forward, and with lots of icing! I'd highly recommend The Sugary for any sweet treat cravings, but only if you have no allergies or dietary restrictions. I opted for their tiramisu as I was drawn to the adorable packaging. And as it turns out, there's more to it than meets the eye since it also tasted pretty good. I liked that it was only subtly sweet and pretty light and creamy. I didn't taste too much coffee rum in it, despite the warning about the alcohol content. Now I could tell you all about how perfectly tasty everything is. From the classic banana puddings (I prefer the caramel version myself,) to the cookies, to the pineapple upside-down mini cakes. Yes, I could tell you that. But I want to speak to something deeper. I want to speak to belonging and community; and to fairness. As a biracial person with a brown sister, I feel the pull to support black and brown businesses. It's not a secret. And sometimes you do it, and sometimes you privately think "Damn. I wanna be supportive but this place is a mess." Then there's Sweet Life. NOT that. FILLED with good product at a great price, delivered by owners and staff who actually give a damn about being loving and supportive to all different types of people. And did I mention the sweets are POPPIN'? And to that statement of fairness. Today I came in to place an order, and when the price came up, for a moment I thought "Damn. That is a lot higher than I remembered, but I am not about to question them. They set the price and that price is what they deserve." So I paid. But then I noticed there was more in my bag that I'd asked for, and that there had been a miscommunication. When I tell you that this miscommunication was corrected with swiftness *AND* a smile. No shade. No drama. Just an "Ooops, oh well, here's your refund on the balance." I know this seems very basic but we all know it isn't. We have all been in that awkward situation where as a customer we have to point out an error, and the vendor turns it into a Shakespearan tragedy. Not Sweet Life. "Oops. Sorry! Fixed. Love you." So, to recap: Stunningly delicious sweets. Prices fair as hell. Communicative, inclusive staff doing the right thing. You need to take those money dollers and haul your ass over here TODAY. They have a sign saying everyone has to get a ticket number. It gets confusing when previous people didn't take or we're going out of order because some of us are still deciding or some people are picking up orders instead of buying on the spot. I think it's an Italian bakery thing to sell baked goods by the pound. I don't like how their menu is posted way far back on the wall behind the counter. If I didn't look online beforehand, I wouldn't have an idea of what to do. Well we still didn't. Since we wanted to get a cannoli and some cookies, we asked the staff whether we need to buy a whole pound/box. He said we don't if we just want a few. He didn't say and we didn't ask how exactly we'll be charged. We ended up getting four cookies: pignoli, almond macaron, old fashion italian, chocolate drop For the cannoli, the menu shows different options but I didn't get questions when I just asked for "a cannoli" which is a good thing. We ended up getting the original one with ricotta. We got charged $6 in total for all the items. Honestly we still don't know how their math works because the transaction was rung up as "cannoli $6". They have a surcharge if you pay by card. We paid in cash and it felt fine with the nice round numbers. Also it seemed quite common for people to pay cash at this spot. The cannoli was pretty good. They pipe it fresh on the spot, and you can taste the difference with a crunchy shell. I'm not sure what's authentic in terms of shell thickness and texture, but I personally would like a thinner shell. The filling wasn't too sweet even after the powdered sugar. The cookies were more fun to browse than to eat. All of them were too sweet and had extracts that I didn't like. If I picked my favorite, pignoli and almond macaron are close. Pignoli is sweeter but has nice texture with the pine nuts on the outside. Almond macaroon is strong in almond extract but less sweet and has a slight chew to it.

I walked right up and ordered - you can look through the window at the pastries - and order which ones you would like. I immediately noticed these 'large' cakes (large compared to the pastries) and asked what they were - Pound Cakes - Lemon and Lavender. I opted for the Lavender. This was a 'simple' cake - a little icing on the top, and a very subtle lavender taste. It was moist and rich, but not too dense - perfect texture. It was a very enjoyable piece of cake. I may try the Lemon Pound cake next time. Next, was the Plum Almond Tarte - it looked amazing. The exterior was browned and had a delicious caramelized crunch to it. I could immediately taste the plum topping as I crunched on a few almonds. However, once I got to the interior of the tart, it was soggy - too moist. I don't think it's supposed to be that way - but it made the tart difficult to eat. It was very tasty, but the sogginess really detracted from the texture. There's an attached picture of the middle of the tart. I thought I would get a cookie and they had 4 choices - I chose the Molasses. It has been a LONG time since I had a molasses cookie. This one had a soft homemade texture - it was sprinkled with sugar. The deep taste of molasses came through immediately and left a delightful little 'bite' like fresh ginger or cloves might do. It was a great cookie. I saw some macaroons in the front of the window - plain and chocolate chip - I got the plain. I'm used to the 'store bought' macaroons-with finally chopped coconut and a soft creamy texture. This was NOT the Manishewitz coconut macaroon I grew up with....good thing! This was a 'real' macaroon - the coconut was shredded a longer length and had true texture. The cookie has a crispy exterior and a chewy coconut interior. I also ordered a mini tarte - the Pear Pistachio Tarte. It was covered in a pistachio crumble and a pear topping, with a pistachio custard filling, which had a reasonable consistency, unlike the Plum Almond. I'm a big pistachio lover and this little tart was yummy - the combination of nutty and fruity came out really well. Last, but not least, is the Apricot Financier. This is a very different pastry - moist - with a very subtle almond taste. There's a very small slice of apricot (I wish there would have been more) which added a nice fresh fruity chew to the light cake. While the cake tasted fine, it needed 'something' more. I'll be returning to Tarte - most likely for the pound cakes and a few cookies!
