I was so excited for this bakery to open within walking distance from our home. The grand opening was during the freeze, and as snow and hail flurried, we enjoyed a winter's stroll to and from Paris Baguette. The ambiance was exquisite with the accordion and crowd. The pastries and drinks were okay but they're definitely expensive for what you're getting. However, the app deals made it reasonable and we love that we can walk there. We made a second trip last Sunday to Paris Baguette to enjoy a snack while working on stuff and I'm sad to say that our perspective was diminished heavily, to the point that I'm not sure I'd want to go back. The café was a desert, a surprising and stark contrast from the fanfare the previous weekend. There were a couple of patrons but not enough people to dampen the blare of lukewarm 2000's pop music. Unfortunately we had a pretty bad situation with our order. We got a pastry and a drink. We redeemed and intended to use a "free drink with purchase" coupon from the app. The first employee, a trainee, accidentally redeemed a free pastry coupon instead of our free drink coupon. Then the manager came over to help and first told us we didn't have a free drink, but then when we pointed out that the scanner on the kiosk was dead, she brought us to the second station and was able to ring it up properly. Unfortunately, since the trainee redeemed the free pastry coupon we lost both coupons and still had to pay for our pastry, meaning we never got and will never get a free pastry. I submitted a request for assistance to the email that the app direct links to (rewards@parisbaguette.com) but I have yet to hear from them. The app issues suck but they are by no means the fault of the staff at this branch. However, having my issues dismissed and being told I'm wrong when I try to explain my situation while trying to show my app really rubbed me the wrong way. Moreover, after everything was resolved with me trying to redeem the drink, I also asked the staff about what to do with my pastry offer, which was now gone from the trainee redeeming it but not using it. I was met with further dismissal - they told me it would return to the app but it's been 4 days and the coupon would have expired tomorrow. Something tells me I'm not getting the free pastry back. :( The location, large space and bright lighting give this Paris Baguette an amazing opportunity to become a third place for many people in the community. I truly believe it can become a part of The Colony. My first experience was so amazing and I'm trying to hold on to that hop. I'll give it a month or two and try it again. Fingers crossed! (Also praying that my free pastry comes back!)

While running early Saturday morning errands, I stopped here to grab a treat to enjoy while I waited for my car to get detailed. I've never visited any of their locations before, but I'm so glad they chose The Colony for their newest spot. The space is bright and clean. I wasn't quite sure what to do at first, but I quickly spotted the trays, boxes, and tongs and figured it out. There are case cases and case cases of beautiful pastries with so many different varieties that it's hard to choose. I went with a familiar favorite, a raspberry almond croissant and tried something new to me, a sweet potato twist. The sweet potato twist was my absolute favorite. I also noticed a big menu of specialty coffee drinks, but all of that is a foreign language to this straight, black coffee, kind of girl. There's a large case of stunning cakes that that I'll definitely keep in mind for future celebrations. I did expect to see more breads and baguettes, there was a smaller section with the sourdough loaf that looked promising. I heard they offer savory items as well, but I wasn't totally sure where or how to order those. I did spot a few in one of the cases. This is one of those places that will take me a couple more visits to fully understand the way of the land. Overall, it's a wonderful addition to our town, especially for anyone looking for something a little beyond the traditional donut shop.

What a charming find!…read more I stopped by The London Baker for the first time and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The space is absolutely beautiful, warm, and inviting. It feels like a little slice of London right here in North Texas. We tried a variety of pastries, a cake pop, and a London Fog tea. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The London Fog tea was especially delicious and made the experience feel even more special. What really stood out to me was the space itself. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend an afternoon catching up with friends. It would be perfect for a girls' day out, high tea, birthday celebration, baby shower, bridal shower, or bachelorette gathering. Every corner is thoughtfully designed and feels elegant without being stuffy. I can also see why they're so well known for their custom cakes. The displays alone are impressive, and after seeing everything in person, I would definitely consider ordering a cake here for a future special occasion. Whether you're stopping in for tea and pastries or planning a celebration, The London Baker is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

They also have some amazing afternoon teas, if you're lucky enough to catch them. Things I would change: 1) I would love if they served breakfast until noon, rather than 11am. I'm a late sleeper on the weekends. 2) the afternoon teas are so phenomenal they should be more frequent. 2 weekends a month would be awesome, with specialty teas (e.g., Harry Potter, Mother's Day, etc) built into the schedule. We ended up getting the coconut and the strawberry lemonade cakes. The strawberry lemonade We would rate 4 out of 10. The flavoring was good. The lemon needed a little more sourness. The overwhelming sweetness was the main factor for the rating. It tastes like fruit loops with extra sugar. We would not buy this flavor again. The coconut We would rate 9.5 out of 10. The only issue was again the sweetness. It could have gone down by like 25% and been perfect. Would buy again for sure. Overall if we're in the area again we would try other flavors.

I could hardly taste the lemon or the strawberry. It was like both flavors needed that extra oomph. My favorite was the Amaretto cupcake it was just a tad bit too salty!! Also would have appreciated maybe a lemon buttercream or strawberry buttercream instead of cream cheese frosting I feel like adding the fruit flavored buttercream on top of the fruit cupcake would have helped find that fruit flavor.

It is not an easy cake to make, and my husband called multiple places in the DFW, and this place was the only one that agreed to make it the way I like it - the soufflé filling sandwiched between two sponge cake layers and topped with chocolate. She also made it exactly as per the GOST standard (the way they make it in Russia, none of that reddi wip nonsense), and it was so lovely to have it again. The place itself is cute and there were so many great-looking desserts on display, gonna have to trek all the way to Lewisville now to try them next time. The only downside was that the employee helping us wasn't sure about the ingredients in one of the desserts. That was a little concerning because food allergies are important. We understand that she may not be the one who bakes the desserts, but it's still important for the staff to know the ingredients or be able to find out. My bf was especially concerned because she wasn't sure whether it contained white chocolate or something else. She may have been new, which is completely understandable, but in situations like this it would be helpful to have the correct information. Other than that, we really enjoyed our desserts, they were delicious! I think the price is fair for the quality, although each dessert was around $10-11. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!
