I had the beef stew which came with a beautifully made French baguette. The beef stew was incredible. It had a unique flair that I wasn't expecting, but was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. I also had their waffle creation with cream on top that was very good. The restaurant itself is small with a seating area in the back that is always packed because of how popular it is. Definitely worth trying!

There are complaints in some of the reviews here that the food is "underseasoned" which is something that I would like to argue wholeheartedly. Breakfast is very subjective; especially standard American breakfast staples like omelets, eggs and bacon platters, waffles. However, that is where the underuse of season here is actually a smart strategy. Most of these dishes would be seasoned with salt, pepper, or by some, butter or hot sauce. All these items are readily available and placed on the table in food quantity so that the diner can easily bring their meal to the exact taste that they enjoy. In doing this thought, nothing really shines here. It is all very good, but nothing it really unique. And that is good thing especially when you are looking for a place to enjoy breakfast that's a down-home style meal and you don't want to have to cook. I will definitely be back again for another homestyle breakfast in the future, and the prices are more than reasonable. If you live in the area this is a great place to frequent for a breakfast you would make yourself or would expect to have if you stopped home for the day. Started light with for my first time being just one slice of the "Strawberry shortcake". The slices are $10 but well worth it cause the size and no complaints on taste either. The Strawberry shortcake has cheesecake filling as one of the layers in the slice which was a really good touch. Strawberry tasted fresh, icing was just right, and cake was moist. Every thing was just right. Haven't really looked at the other selections of slices or cupcakes cause I was in and out knowing just what I wanted to try and go from there. Did find out about the other slices of featured cake was a "Strawberry cake with strawberry crunch icing and cheesecake filling" looked good too but I didn't wanna over do it for my first visit.
