I won't come back. I paid 40 dollars for my daughter to get her nails and toes done yesterday. One day in and it looks like this. Some of this is just not taking time to do the manicure or pedicure right. Wish I would of looked at her nails yesterday but we had another appointment to go to. I have toe photos too but don't want to post it. You are right and I said toes and nails. If you look at the photo would you say she did a good job? That is poor work. I do wish I would of looked at her nails prior to leaving but as I said we had another appointment and would not of had time to have them fixed. Just because she is young doesn't mean they should do a sloppy job. You can see in the close up photo that she didn't take her time with the polish. Things should be done right the first time not having to complain and then doing it right. I work with my hands a lot so it was nice to have some self-care time. The owner and nail tech were friendly, accommodating, and polite. The price is fair and the service was good. The nail lounge itself is well lit, well stocked, clean, and pretty. I recommend coming here if you're interested in checking out a new nail salon I was growing out my natural nails and had a (done at home) French manicure, but unfortunately one nail broke. This was my first manicure in over a year, so I may be a bit out of touch with the process, but I had certain expectations. I assumed that basic prep work like cleaning up my cuticles and trimming my nails would be done before any design was applied. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I showed Selena the design I wanted, and while she did a decent job replicating it, it felt a bit average overall. I kinda expected the final result to look polished after she showed me a quick glance. But after a few coats, she walked away to assist another client without telling me if she was finished. I sat there confused, unsure if I was supposed to wait or leave. The whole experience felt rushed even though I specifically made an appointment. Now, looking closely, the details on my nails are a little messy. Not sure, if I love it or hate it, but it looks poorly done. I wish she had spent a bit more time fixing the small things. It came out exactly like what I wanted (showed her and the owner the inspo pic and my ideas/what I wanted and they helped pick out colors/charms). I love them so much! She's very nice and has a warm smile on her throughout the time we are being serviced. - The nail tools seem decently sanitized. - Appointment time was inconsistent on the call (before arrival). We are asked to come about an hour early than the scheduled time. Nail Experience: - I was assigned to a nail tech that doesn't speak English and I still try my best to communicate with her using image and gesture. The other nail tech would also help translate. - 1st Nail Tech performed nail trim and cleaning, but did not clean or trim any cuticles of my nails (when I asked why, I was told that I didn't need it). - I requested for gloves (to prevent from tanning from the UV light) and was told to put on before the base coat dried (double reconfirmed to maybe put it on when the coat is dried). Then there's the fabric that stick to the coat (I was kind of blamed on by the 2nd Nail Tech). - 1st Nail Tech seem to struggle to understand what I want. 2nd Nail Tech stood by to watch and translate. Then she took over and began doing my nail. She seems to be in a rush and kind of rushed the design. I wasn't very stratified with her service. I went with some cat-eye designs and she was having a hard time shifting the cat-eye. I was told that cat-eye is very difficult to work with and cannot be exactly like the picture. I kind of just complied and felt bad for choosing cat-eye. - 3rd Nail Tech (Selena) took over. She redo a couple of the nail because it's just bad :/ She's actually really good! I am very happy with the design overall (at least the nail she worked on). She's patient and creative. - The ending massage felt rushed. I didn't really enjoyed or feel relaxed my first time here. Felt very rushed and at fault for choosing a complicated design. Area of Improvement: - Positive and patient attitude - More attention to detail. - More Communicative on customer's needs (we don't really know what you offer) - Be consistent with appointment time However, if you do want to give it a try, I would recommend Selena to be your nail tech. I'm not satisfied with my nails at Paris Nails and this is why. Although Paris Nails is super welcoming and they all have an inviting feel, my experience with the product was terrible. I made an appointment for Friday morning at 11am for a full set of gel-x for a white French tip with a chrome ombré. My process of getting my nails done was perfectly fine and quick, Selena worked fast with knowledge in her artwork. She asked many times to reassure you like the shape, length, color, and even if you need a beverage-that was very professional and kind of her. Once my nails were done, I genuinely loved it and was satisfied with it, until I left and got to the store and realized that I had polish and gel-x clumped and dried up UNDER my nails. I went back and got it cleaned asap and they didn't apologize about the inconvenience or the way they let their customer walked out with residue build up under the nails that were very noticeable. So from the top it looks great but underneath was dirty and messy. It continues to go downhill. I'm not sure what product they use but the retention of the nails didn't last a week. On day 2, two nails broke off from doing simple tasks like folding laundry or showering. After the second day, one nail began to break everyday, one everyday! Sometimes two a day! It is now day 7, and I am left with only 3 nails left... I got these nails for a trip and I'm only 3 days into my trip and practically have no nails left that I paid $62 (with tip) for! It would've been $70 but they had a 20% discount that day. So was it worth coming to Paris Nails in Elk Grove? Personally I wouldn't go back again because of my experience. read more
