They took me right away, which was such a nice surprise, and the price for a manicure with gel color was excellent. The tech actually picked out the gel color for me, and it ended up being the exact shade I had been eyeing, which I loved -- it felt like she read my mind in the best way. My nails turned out clean, shiny, and really pretty. The only thing that would've made the experience perfect is that I wasn't asked about length or shape before she started. Amazing staff. Unfortunately, I don't think it will end up working out for me as much as I would have wanted them to. I'm new to Elk Grove, moved from the bay, and I've been in a hunt for a good nail spot. This is my 3rd time going to them for gel manicure. This time my nails came out better but unfortunately still didn't last. I went on a Friday and had to go back on Monday to have them fix a nail that was lifting already. Today is now Tuesday and I noticed that one of my nails, the clear coat had lifted as well and just peeled right off. I feel like their UV nail lights don't work too well or something. They take too long for them to dry and every time they would have to keep putting my nails back and redoing them. Another thing they don't do is cleaning cuticles,but from the amount of different places I've tried I've wonder if it's something nail places even do here in Elk Grove or if it's just an additional service It's unfortunate because I loved how super close they were to home and very kind. read more

My friend and I originally booked another place but was told they didn't have my name and didn't have any opening that day. Disappointed, we end up finding this place. We called initially and was told we can come in. When we first got in, it was a little confusing, didn't know what is going on and was just told what to do and go. Kind of felt rushed like they trying to get our business. Both my friend and I got manicure and Pedicure. PEDICURE - Started with a spa pedicure. I will have to say the lady who did mines, Cathy, was good. I almost fell asleep on her during my pedicure. She was very thorough helping me find the colors I wanted based on the picture I showed her. Though she wasn't able to get exactly the picture but it still turned out nicely. MANICURE - We did a gel manicure. Cathy was very gentle and was trying her best to get the design I wanted. What I like about her is that she will thoroughly look at the design and try her best to replicate. Though not exact, at least it looks good! Review from my friend - my friend had an opposite experience. She had two different ladies helping her, one for manicure and one for pedicure. The spa experience was good but the lady who did her design was bad. Didn't look like the picture and felt like she didnt even bother to try. She felt like the lady just hurriedly finish her off so she can get to another client. The lady who did her manicure, was a little better. My friend got extension, so it was a little longer to work. But it hurts according to my friend and the lady will ask if it's short enough and my friend said yes, but yet she still shorten it more. For the nail art, my friend said at least she tried. Though it still not similar at all. She was very disappointed and spend over 100 on this. She gives her a star for effort. Overall, my experience was good but my friends one was bad, so hit or miss. i've been coming here for years now & ik that they always do good w porcelain, but they don't always do what i want correctly when i get acrylics. lee is always nice & does an amazing job & a few of the others ik r pretty good there as well, but sometimes they feel rushed & do a mediocre job w requests that aren't simple or classic. they're very friendly & always try to do their best. they're a great salon to go to if u want a solid color & the classic french tips (which the 1st pic below, I wanted the trendy french tip w a very heavy arch, but she just completely did something different) !! they also have LOW prices !!!!! read more

I'm not a local to Elk Grove and stumbled upon the salon because it was next to big lots. I'm SO thankful I stumbled upon this gem!! I will have to go out of my way now and make excuses to drive the 20 minutes secretly to get my nails done. It is that worth it ! First off it was $40 for a regular pedicure with a gel manicure! That's $20 dollars cheaper then what I am used to. AND THE SERVICE WAS AMAZING! They did a great job and were very clean. Two weeks after getting a nail job done it broke opening a car door. Also ask for a coffin nail cut and they got bothered by it because the nail was supposed to be longer they did not bother to fix it by taking my nail off and getting the car I paid for they started speaking in their language and made them very square. Also when I went in to get it fixed they wanted to charge me for their weak nail job. this place is a little bit cheaper and the three times I've gone here because of this there's been an issue every time. I make this nail shop my home it's like a home away from home very comfortable atmosphere as you watch TV and feel like you're at home with the nail techs. They have all the latest in style nail gel colors. They're never pushy with add-ons they are flexible and honest on how you want your nails done. Very affordable and quality!! They quoted me $27 for a gel fill and it was $27 on the way out unlike other nail shops that push you for add-ons and it's $5 this $5 that this nail shop is what-you-see-is-what-you-get and their honest with integrity. I walked in they quoted me $27 I walked out and it was $27 and I was able to tip my nail tech because I had extra change from exactly what they quoted me. I loved the lady doing my pedicure. However, the one doing my fill in accidentally cut my cuticle with the Dremel as she was shaving down the acrylic. I could see she notice but never addressed it even though it was bleeding. She was extremely pushy while I was getting my pedicure. The technician grabbed both of my hands to dunk in the water bowl after the acrylic process. She also had a nail brushed and scrubbed my nails after forcibly putting them in the bowl of water which irritated the cut even more. There are times where she forgot to turn on the lamp for the gel polish before working on my other hand multiple times. The final time where she forgot and caught it, she rudely told me to turn it on myself. read more

My friend and I have been coming to this place to get out manis and pedis. The place is exceptionally clean! The staff is excellent. Everyone is very welcoming. I told them exactly what I wanted and they made it happen. If you are looking for fancy art (like 3D studs and flowers) they don't have it. They only have 3D gems. They can only do flower painted designs. I usually do gel nail polish which lasts pretty long for me. Give this place a chance! If you want to skip waiting, come around 2:30pm. I think that's their down time. I rather have them take their time do my nails then feeling rush. read more

I made an appointment for me and my mom we picked our color and got seated they didn't offer us spa or regular and I had asked both of the lady's that were helping me and my mom if we were able to do spa they both laughed and said no spa so we thought maybe they don't do it anymore and a little after the other lady who was doing someone else's nails had said something to the workers and after were basically done they offer it to us after the other workers said something to them and another customer came and they offered it to her that made me up set they didn't offer us but they did to someone else I loved it here at first but after this experience I won't be coming back again read more

Good for pedicures, they do the salt rub on even the most basic pedicures which i LOVE! But there manicures last only a few days. When i got designs they were sloppy. It seemed as though they did a better job the first time or two we went in, then really slacked after that. And they really really try to get you to do gel manis! Very pushy about it! So I made an appointment at 10:45 for 11:15 am. I showed up at about 11:10 knowing id probably wait 5-10 minutes since i was early. Right when i walked in there were 3 customers and only 2 workers. One lady was just finishing up with a customer and then went right over to the man that was already sitting in the pedicure chair. The other lady I could tell just started giving a pedicure to another woman. So clearly only 2 workers and 2 customers....i was trying to figure out how they were going to accommodate my appointment. They did greet me when i walked in and i told them i called about the gel manicure appointment so they told me to pick out a color. After 20 minutes of waiting one of the ladies asked if i had gel on my nails (i think she could tell i was frustrated). She said ok just a couple more minutes. I was just going to walk out after 20 minutes of waiting PAST my appointment time, especially since i was on my lunch break, but i saw that the lady was finishing up with the man right at that time so i decided to stay. The lady took care of me and was quick yet thorough. Still could have done a little better of a paint job but I'm not too picky. My frustration is that they made an appointment with me either knowing id have to wait OR they took a walk in knowing they had an appointment. If i didn't mind waiting i wouldn't have made an appointment. They did mention they were short staffed but they shouldn't have agreed to a 11:15 appointment. They were nice tho and had a tv so that helped pass the time. Also, they take CC which the other shop i go to only takes cash. I never have cash on me so its always inconvenient. Will i be back? maybe, maybe not. Just depends how desperate i am since its close to my work. read more

Just moved here from Louisiana and this was the first place I have been. 1st time I got a spa pedicure for 30 bucks and it was the best pedicure I've ever had and for 30 I thought it was beyond worth it, they give you paraffin wax and a bomb massage included. Went in for a full set and a color for my daughter. All started well. My daughter picked her color and was done. I explained I wanted the ombre. I showed her pics and she showed me colors and how they do it. So at the end all she did was put like a clear pink on. I could not for nothing now get her to understand what it was I was after. I let it go. She gave me a total of $42. I asked can I get my brows done. Why not it was only $8. Another lady took me back. It all looked ok. But after getting home when the redness went away I'm still plucking stray hairs. So I go to pay. My total went from $42 to $58!!!! Something happened! So I said why such a jump and now I can understand them. So I gave $60 thinking they already took more from me then they should. Then she is looking at me saying "you only give $2" trying to do the right thing I gave another $10. She seriously kept looking at me. I said that's enough and she had the nerve to be like "oh! I've been coming here for a while. It's always clean. Service is fabulous and the staff is very professional. Quality of work is great and the pricing is good. I started bring my boyfriend with me. There's never a long wait when I go and they are quick without sacrificing quality of work. Me and my mom knew the owner when she worked at another shop and she was the only one that we used to go for. But every staff does a good job. They are very sterile. Tool come of a new container every time and they wrap there pedicure tubs in plastic. I really like that one. The massage chairs are an added plus as well. read more
