Humble Bee is hidden inside the Sola salon, a group of hidden beauty-oriented businesses near Applebees. The lot is huge - the location impossible to find without the key fact it's in Sola. There is no signage. The room itself is nicely decorated. I appreciated the presence of a sink in the room for hygiene. First time sugaring, long time waxer. Ally, the esthetician, was very nice, informative and professional. She's 5 stars!Regarding sugaring: I'll say that the sugaring seemed effective and less painful on the exterior skin, but is very comparable to hard wax and strip wax on interior which is painful. For the face, sugar wax didn't seem to capture the smaller hairs the way regular hard and soft wax do. I ended up asking for the hard wax which was terrible quality. I have waxed my face plenty of times with wax that is does not pull skin. This wax dried so quickly- like 10 seconds- making it hard to remove and taking some skin with it. Price for services is on the higher end. Overall, Ally made the experience positive and, if not for the wax, would've been a higher rated review. I cannot recommend regular wax services, given low quality wax. If you're interested in trying sugaring for a Brazilian, it's a unique experience and Ally is great. read more

Why wax when you can SUGAR!?!?!?!?! While I was home in Sacramento visiting family, I decided I wanted to try sugaring for the first time and decided to book my appointment with Kaelyn. First, I have to give all the kudos to Kaelyn for being such a huge professional! I was extremely nervous and honestly, a tad bit scared of the pain because I've never had my legs waxed before. But, Kaelyn was so understanding and patient and walked me through the entire process. I would even argue that Kaelyn has what I like to call a therapeutic touch! Not only was she as gentle as she could be, but our conversations gave me the best belly laughs! I laughed so much during my appointment that I didn't even have time to focus on what she was doing. This is a testament to Kaelyn being a professional and demonstrates her adaptability and capability of working with different clients. My legs remained smooth for a good two weeks, as did my underarms and face. Again, this is because of Kaelyn's expertise and wealth of knowledge. She provided aftercare instructions and even gave me advice on what products to use to help with aftercare. I wouldn't trust anyone else to wax any part of my body and you won't be disappointed booking your appointment with Kaelyn! The studio is actually located inside of Sola Salons, and there is a tv monitor right by the entrance that lists what area each business is located. The studio itself is so cutely decorated and has such a nice ambiance! It provides the privacy you need, but is also very cozy, warm, and inviting! Easy to find and there is ample parking! First off im for one to not really get my brows waxed but I've noticed they've gotten pretty wild recently and so I went in to try it out so a friend recommended Kaelyn and let me tell you, Kaelyn?...killed it with the brows. I ask her to clean it up and try to leave as natural as possible and she did that and then some, still kept the over all shape of my brows but still cleaned it up, like if a barber gave me a crispy line up but with my brows. I've gotten none stop compliments about my brows so She definitely knows what she's doing. read more

This was my very first time going to get a Brazilian Wax, I read all the reviews from their page but had never went to Yelp. First of all the miss conceptions of a wax when it comes to The Humble Bee Sugaring, there is no wax it's all sugar and from what I gather because I've never done this before it's less painful. My sugaring agent was Kaelyn she was Absolutely Amazing, I was so nervous when I got there she made me feel so comfortable. She made me feel so relaxed my first time. Kaelyn Kinnavongsa does my eyebrows so good and smooth. She is very quick with her services but still manages to do QUALITY work. She sugars then goes over with tweezers and cleans it up real nice (her touch is very soft and barely felt any tugging on my eyebrows with the sugar AND tweezers) and we still finished before the end time slot. As far as the venue is, it's so nice and clean. i HIGHLY recommend her for all your sugaring needs bc she goes over, in depth, about aftercare and your skin really. Definitely a professional and knows what she's talking about bc I talked about the "what-ifs" on my aftercare and tells me what would happen and how to prevent/take care of said what-if.
