So simple. Come in and in 30 minutes you'll leave with a total body workout. 30 minutes seemed…read moreshort at first, but after your first session you realize working hard for 30 min is just as effective as your usual 60 min gym routine. Plus, you can come whenever and use their cardio equipment. Hit the treadmill for 15min before/after your workout... there's your 60 min! The spot itself isn't large, but they have more than enough equipment to work every muscle and to keep things interesting; Kettle bells, free weighs, benches, cardio machines, rowers, battle ropes, ladder climber thingie, rope puller thingie... you get the point. It's all here. The trainers don't overwork you, they find your comfort level and then take you from there. I've had two different trainers and both are really friendly, even when you want to run out of the gym and buy a cheeseburger from anyone willing to sell it to you. Bonus points for eucalyptus towels and a water machine. You literally don't have to bring anything but yourself here. There are great deals to be found on the discount websites, but I would suggest calling up and asking about their deals instead. Most of the time they will honor whatever coupon is out there and you don't have to go through a third party middle man. Personal training... do it!

Place needs better maintenance as bathrooms are always wreaking of urine especially the kids family bathroom. Why do we have a children's bathroom with no proper way for children to reach the sink located inside the toilet? Staff at the salon also has a bad attitude. For such a high end gym, customer service is lacking 100%.

But policies set by management or corporate at this facility basically guarantee this location is on same trajectory as the Dodo bird. Other than the above, terrible quality for a Life Time facility and significantly worse than any other Life Time in NYC and Westchester area. The bumper plates on the second floor look more or less like a dog chewed on them. If you are here to lift weights, just know that the equipment is worse than LA fitness, NYSC, etc. Again, other Life Times have been renovated 1-2x over the past 3 years, if they aren't brand new. This is literally the only one that is like this. The only renovation they did was to remove a basketball coirt to replace with Pickle ball. The squat racks are literally a danger to use if you squat on the second floor if you hit parallel or lower unless you go to the 3rd floor (which typically has classes running) And now that they replaced one basketball court with Pickleball courts, you basically cannot use the basketball court. Unavailable 60-70% of the time to use. Attaching a picture for the reader to judge for themselves. Camp is over? Birthday party. No birthday party? Then its a league game (this one was not as bothersome before as they had the second court and it was not typically the entire day). I understand the need to increase revenue but at this point, this location is milking their members for quality that is worsening with each passing day. The reason this gym also went downhill is because of the influx of those who were going to Syosset and changed because the quality was also going down. I would venture to say Syosset is now the better location. If you have time, checkout Life Time Harrison or Life Time Dumbo. Drastic difference in quality. I hope corporate management changes their tune but its more likely that this facility will continue to increase prices and let the place deteriorate until they close down. Its really a shame. Alllllllright. So I'm posting this review almost an hour after taking my first trial class. Wow wow…read morewow. Delia was the instructor for this class and she was awesome. Super energetic and motivating. It was a really great class. I say this about two hours after the class ended because I'm now decompressing. I used to work out at least 3x/week, CrossFit including. I haven't worked out in two years and let me tell you, this body knew it didn't work out in two years. Upon entering the class I was like Okok let me take my place all the way in the back so I'm not in the immediate view of others obviously struggling in what I know will leave me in a puddle of sweat mess while attempting to look like I'm keeping up (spoiler alert, I in fact could not keep up, ha). It's ok guys, I knew I wouldn't be keeping up with the rest of the class on my first real day working out. But I tried. I tried and reached a moment where I was mentally like "listen, you are either gonna throw up which will be embarrassing or pass out which would be even more embarrassing!" I did neither, I know, thank god bc I would have walked out and just walked into traffic upon waking up had I passed out. Back to Delia! She walked around and kept motivating every person. The music was also amazing. Dalia was super clear with instructions and what the next pace would be. The atmosphere was very clean, very inviting and made you feel like you were in a specialty fitness studio, which you are. I have to say, I did not get a membership as yet bc immediately as I was done with the class I was thinking "no way I can keep up with this class". But now that I'm home, and I have this exercise high going on and I realized I did in fact complete this class, even if slower than others....I did it. I feel really good about myself and in time I know my stamina and overall health will increase if I took classes here. So yea...I recommend. I genuinely liked this class

The place is a little run down, beat up, and gritty, just like the gyms I trained at back in the 80s. If you're looking for shiny new equipment and spa vibes, this isn't for you. But if you're serious about training, welcome home. You won't find Planet Fitness types here -- this is a place for hardcore bodybuilders, strength athletes, and a few tough strength ladies who know their way around the iron. Over the decades, they've built up an incredible collection of equipment, giving you multiple ways to hit every muscle from every angle. The cost is very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the best part? The members feel like family. Whether it's offering training tips, sharing a laugh, or giving you a spot when you're pushing your limits, everyone has your back. No line for the equipment, plenty of dumbbells available for this dumbbell at all times, proactive maintenance staff who keep the showers, sauna, toilets and the workout floor clean and stocked; nice layout with a quiet room with loads of mats to do stretching, yoga poses( 2 seconds for me) and ab work, a nice tricep pull-down area and a basketball court. No racquetball but Farmingdale is just a few minutes east. Love that the juice bar has added protein pre made meals in their freezer with a microwave for immediate consumption. The sauna is always hot. I get to this location maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I have to mention the wonderful Gabriel who opened the gym in the snowstorm at 7 am sharp. He was happy and welcoming as the rush came in. Thank you LAF for being open today. Now it's foodie fun time as the NFL Championship games are just a few hours away.

Every time I see Alan, he greets members with a warm smile and takes the time to ask how they're doing. That level of personal attention is rare and makes everyone feel welcome. He's also one of the few managers I've noticed who politely reminds members to re-rack their weights as a courtesy to others, helping keep the gym organized and safe. Alan takes pride in maintaining the equipment and is always visible on the gym floor, making sure everything is running smoothly while checking in with members. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent customer service truly set him apart. L.A.
