It's very easy to screw up a hamburger, and even harder to make one taste as good as you could ever make it at home, but Park Bar did it! And by that, I mean the latter of those two options. I've had some pretty good burgers before, but my house special (that night) burger was absolutely outstanding. It was based on a bloody mary drink, I don't recall the name, but it had all the flavor and ingredients of a bloody mary, down to the olives. Very well done, cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor. The fresh cut fries were outstanding, too. My son's burger was great, too. Came for dinner on Monday night. The place wasn't overly busy but it still took a good 15 minutes for our waitress to come take our order. She was friendly and our order did come out relatively quick. The steak and short ribs were both good, side of asparagus was ok/a little charred. Another member of our party said the chicken sandwich was good as well. Place might have potential to watch sporting events as I saw a number of TV's. Went there for lunch today. Sadly, we forgot to take photos, but the food was fantastic. We ordered onion rings as an appetizer- delicious!! I ordered the wings for my meal (Buffalo style) with a side salad -they were on point!!! My hubby ordered the hot mess burger and it was fantastic- great flavor to the beef. The food was yummy and so was our initial server. I came back, a group of 4, and I had a vegan friend. Our waiter informed us we couldn't get the black bean soup because it was closed, but it was late and they stopped (10pm). We asked for further clarification, our waitress said the soup was frozen and we could have gotten some but right now. Naturally, we asked for someone a bit more knowledgeable. The amazing waitress we've come to know the last couple of days approached us and wanted us to reiterate our order. In the midst of them explaining she was new. She came and said "you got your soup now" multiples times with an attitude and walked away. I'm sorry. I've been in customer service and that was rude and inappropriate. I completely understand her being in training, but if you are assisting here, apologize. Don't make excuses for her rudeness. Essentially, you're saying even if she didn't work here with her shitty attitude she's a horrible human being.. Way too many people attempted to excuse her attitude instead of apologizing for it. Mind you, the food and behavior of our initial server was amazing. We kept referring the spot to our friends (were from CA). An apology from would have sufficed. Well, as were leaving and talking shit (I was upset because I wanted the wings) my friend realized she left her purse. Walked back in, the security guard gave her a warning and she said that she had "1 more chip left" so she was tripping. I'm sorry, that's screams out ignorance. So I finally made it to the infamous Park Bar. Unfortunately aside from the ambiance and location I see no reason to ever visit again. Service was extremely slow and after waiting over 30 minutes we began to ask our server if the kitchen forgot about us. At about the the 40 minute mark I was served overcookd, dry, fishy mahi mahi (SIGH). The bright spot I suppose was that the manager finally came over, apologized and took care of the bill. If your staying downtown near the sky wheel this place is a definitely worth checking out. The park bar is a quaint little place filled with a great selection of burgers and drinks. I tried the pretty princess mixed drink (or whatever it's called) and wasn't a fan, but that's only cause I thought it was going to be berry flavored. As for for food, my hubby got the wings and I tried the burger of the month, the Massee. My burger was probably one of the best I've had, topped with a Georgia peach salsa and pepper jack cheese, it was a nice mix of toppings :) All in all check it out. read more

Great bar to catch a game and drink local brews on a Sunday morning. We showed up right after they opened on a sunday where the Falcons had an away game. It wasn't super crowded so we pretty much got instant service. The Hotzarella sticks were an instant favorite at the table. I'd also recommend the edamame!!! read more

I got into Atlanta on a late-Friday night. I decided to find a place close by for a bite to eat. There weren't many places open other than this bar. I decided to call in for a take-out order. I ordered some lemon-pepper wings and tator tots. The walk form my hotel was only 10 minutes long. The food was ready by the time that I arrived. The bartender was nice and knew exactly what my order was. As for the food, the lemon pepper wings were really salty. It was perfectly fried but hard to eat due to the amount of dry rub.
