Honestly I was quite surprised. My first time here and they did not disappoint. We were seated right away and they had live music. The food was great! It's a limited menu on Sunday brunch but we were able to make it work. We all ordered our dishes with blackened salmon but after several min, were informed that they were out. No problem. I opted for blackened chicken for my grits instead of shrimp (I've been having an adverse reaction lately) best combo I didn't know I needed! The blackened chicken was evenly portioned with flavorful seasoning and the grits were perfectly creamy. My friends that ordered shrimp were disappointed - it seemed like a bad batch. It was rubbery and didn't smell right. But the F&B manager was gracious enough to bring them a side of chicken breast and took 30% off the bill for the inconvenience. We had the standard cocktails - mimosa with blood orange & French 75 with tequila repo. Very good The only negative comment I had was the wait time. Our server didn't check on us for atleast 30 min. At 1:30p it's only 2 groups - ours and 1 other. Plus maybe 2 couples at high tops so we didn't understand the reason for the neglect and lack of communication. I have been before but this time was much more crowded, persons with the warmer weather. It was only me so I was able to get a seat at the outdoor bar. I was able to place my food and drink order immediately. The delicious poke nachos came out quickly but the drink took a long time with an apology for the wait. This also happened to me last visit. We had the pleasure to eat at The Ponce Room before attending a Broadway Show at The Fox Theatre. We chose the Ponce Room because it is conveniently located across the street from The Fox Theatre, they offer a discount to Broadway show season ticket holders, and the Brunch Menu looked delicious. While there, we enjoyed live music by a local musician named Chip Jones. The ambiance was perfect. We started with some refreshing mimosas and a friendly greeting by our waitress, Jenny. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly. We interacted with two bartenders, a kitchen server and our waitress. Everyone was great! The food portions were very large and did not disappoint. We ordered a breakfast potato skillet and turkey club with french fries. I'm usually not too crazy about french fries. However, I have to tell you, these fries remained salty, crispy, and delicious through the whole meal and I finished my shared portion. Again, the serving portions were huge! The potato skillet was piled so high with deliciousness! I kept digging through the skillet and really never made it to the bottom. It was really yummy. All the food used fresh ingredients. The sauce on the side of the breakfast potato skillet really complimented the meal. Turkey club sandwiches are one of my favorite items to order off a menu. I have to say, this by far, is ranked as my favorite club sandwich. It was filled so high with meat and the fresh avocado was absolutely amazing. We plan to make this our dining spot before every Broadway show for the rest of the season. We've already decided that we will need to order the Beignets and the Chicken-N-Waffle Stack on our next visit. We are so excited to call The Ponce Room one of our favorite spots. Ponce Room Bar is the bar and restaurant inside the Element Atlanta Midtown hotel which is located across the street from the Fox Theater. We decided to try them out before our show at the Fox. I'm so glad we did. The restaurant is on the smaller side but they have an outdoor section that will be great when the weather is nicer. Inside they have 4 amazing booths perfectly designed for hanging out with your own TV built into the high booth walls. Their menu has snacks, small plates and some sandwiches. They also have a fun cocktail menu. Our waitress started us off with some great cocktail recommendations, the Fourth Wall and Thyme Out. Fourth Wall is similar to a whiskey sour with the addition of fig jam. Thyme Out was refreshing with lime and cucumber. For food, the table started with the fried pickles and hush puppies. My favorite was the hush puppies. They came out piping hot and had a great texture and flavor. The fried pickles were made with sweet pickles. The guys at the table ordered a small plate of smoked chicken wings. I ordered the Ahi Tartar small plate. The tartar was incredible and beautifully plated but beware of the red sauce on the side as it is very spicy. For my main course, I ordered the pork belly sandwich. The pork belly slices were larger than the sandwich and delicious all on their own. But everything else on the sandwich added so much flavor. It included gouda, cheddar cheese, peach jalapeño jelly, aji sauce and slaw. Have a napkin ready though as your fingers will get a bit greasy. First and foremost, our waitress was nice and attentive. She brought the table waters before we ordered. One of the glasses weren't clean but she instantly got me another one. My husband and I went to the Ponce Room to grab drinks and snacks before seeing a show at the Fox and it was great! Located right inside the Courtyard Mariott in Midtown it's the perfect spot for a night out with friends. The low level, warm lighting lends itself to feeling comfortable and encourages conversation, and you have multiple options for seating including the bar, some low and high top tables, and booths with TVs built into them to. Our cocktails were both great and well priced for the area. If you're a fan of tequila I recommend the Sugar High and if you like whiskey I definitely recommend the Elderflower Old Fashioned, it's just a touch sweeter than your typical old fashioned. The snacks were all delicious but I think our favorite had to be the smoked chicken wings! They were perfectly crispy, seasoned to perfection, and not overly smoky. Don't skip out on them! Our waitress was attentive and made sure to check in on us frequently and she also answered questions about the menu well. I will say the menu is limited so be prepared for a smaller range of options. The menu online is also not exactly what the menu is in person, for example they list a cheese board online but when we went it wasn't an option. Obviously since they're in Midtown parking is a little more difficult but if you're going before a Fox show you can park in any of the allocated lots/decks that are reserved for that. If you're going on a regular day just make sure to leave yourself some time for parking! read more

First time here. Seated at the bar for breakfast. . Attitude from the server. That same old Atlanta attitude that I have experienced every day since I arrived in June of last year. Took his time to serve me. I ordered the catfish with a side of scrambled egg whites. No egg whites. Ok just scrambled eggs then. I will also have a coffee and a Virgin Mary. The coffee was good but the VM caused a bit of confusion which was eventually sorted out. The food took an eternity to arrive - at least 20 minutes - and when it did the famous scrambled eggs were freezing. I should have sent them back but I was afraid to! He did ask me how I was doing - ONCE. But there was no water and no coffee refill. Also, he never cleaned the counter which was filled with little pieces of food from the previous customer. Oh my! The catfish was good but not outstanding. And, as I proceed through the meal, there is an attempt to get the plate back even though I am clearly not finished! I order a Diet Coke but because the cash register is on some kind of hold this eventually takes about 15 minutes. Ambiance is difficult to monitor when your service is so bad but it's a kind of sports bar with a bit of a country vibe. Pleasant enough but there is no way I am coming back. We absolutely looooved this little gem inside the Courtyards lobby. We happen to be able to enjoy a guitar player while we were there and sat in a booth that had a little tv and my son was able to get entertained while we enjoyed our food and drinks. I came here with a few friends for brunch on a Sunday. There was free street parking right across the street otherwise I'm sure you can valet with the hotel it's located in. Tried The Ponce Room before a show at the Fox for dinner and enjoyed it. Very close to the theatre which is so nice so you're not stressed about getting there! Definitely a small menu but the food is so amazing! We got the Hummus and Pretzel Bites as an appetizer. The pretzel bites were so doughy like donuts and amazing, and the pita bread with the hummus was amazing! Our server was very friendly but after waiting over 35 minutes, our food still wasn't out. We just let our server know that we likely didn't have time and he said he'd comp it. He brought it out 2 minutes later, so we basically ate for free--only paying for appetizers and drinks. The burger was pretty good but unfortunately came out with fries instead of tater tots I ordered, but they were still really good. Welp, the service was good and we got there by 6pm on Sat night and was seated right away. The drink was strong and good. The menu was so small, I was unsure at first, but everything we got, we liked. The wings were good. They didn't ask me how I wanted the burger and it came out all pink on the inside. Surprisingly, I liked it (and I never usually like burgers much). I said no onions, but liked the pickles and the crispy edges of the bun, which was buttery and toasty.
