I was in town for a quick work trip and on the last night there I made plans to meet an old friend here. It was right across the street from my hotel and with it being a cold, rainy night, it was the perfect fit. We met up around 8pm and they had trivia going on which was fun to watch. You could tell there were regulars there because the vibe was lively and people were having a lot of fun. Even with it being a lively crowd, we were able to get a table ASAP which was plus. Our waitress was also fabulous. She was very attentive and answered all of our many questions over the 1.5+ hours we were there. When it came time for food we ordered some of their Cajun fries and a crab cake to share. We weren't really there for dinner, but after two espresso martinis and a few tequila shots, it was definitely needed. The fries were on point, crispy and piping hot, and the crab cake wasn't bad at all for us not being near the sea at all. There are 2 things I do not like, fish and horseradish. So what did I order, the catfish and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed the catfish and the spicy aioli that came with it. Just don't get the steak. Not sure what I was thinking ordering a steak at a pub. My wife's burger was good. The sweet potato fries were excellent. A little cinnamon on them. The wings were excellent. But my steak was not cooked well asked for medium rare. It was seared on both side and raw in the middle. Sent it back and came back well done. A solid spot for some good food and drink after a night at The Fox Theater..my sisters and I stopped in after a performance to enjoy a nightcap and some food. We ordered stuff to share and some Cocktails - overall a decent experience. We ordered Hot Honey Cauliflower - perfect bites to go with a few drinks. We also shared an apple walnut salad- fresh and crispy - the house citrus vinaigrette was really good. Our "friends buffet" was enjoyable and worked out great for the 3 of us. They also have some interesting cocktails to try. I had the Basil Bramble - gin forward with a little prosecco- I like it and YES ... ordered another my sisters enjoyed the Jalapeño Cucumber Martini - not too spicy but just enough kick- I was told - and a glass of Mionetto Prosecco. The vibe here is definitely "after the show" very lively and it gets busy.. a cool stop before or after a show. I would actually have given 4 stars - but our server was very lackluster and made us feel like he was doing us a big favor by taking our order and serving us. I wish I had more time to try more on the menu. I stopped in quickly before a show at the Fox and took a seat at the bar. The host was very welcoming and set the tone for a great experience. Before our concert at the Fox Theatre, we grabbed a quick bite at Publik Draft House, which directly neighbors the theatre. We had a limited amount of time and figured this restaurant would be the fastest nearby option. Sure enough, we were seated immediately and were given "The Show Menu", which is their menu on nights that the Fox Theatre hosts a show. The menu items are designed to complement a quick dining experience. What we ordered: -PDH Draft Burger (sub pepperjack for blue cheese; add tomato, lettuce, and sautéed onions) This was very good! The beef was perfect, and I loved the onions. The bun was pretty standard, with room for potential. The fries were nice and crispy, but were not super warm when they arrived. -Duck Quesadilla I'm not sure if I've had duck before, but it has a "greasy" taste that I'm not the biggest fan of. If you like duck, you may really like it! We made it out and into the theatre with time to spare, so I'd say their concept was a success. Went to Publik Draft House before seeing The Outsiders at The Fox! It's connected to the theatre so it's super close. Their cucumber jalapeño martini was FIRE and the crab cake was a perfect light bite before the show! My friends got the basil bramble and the midtown mule and they were both tasty (they shared a sip with me!). Their Bavarian pretzel with cheese dipping sauce was also incredibly fluffy and delicious. He even ignored to serve the waters requested after paying the bill. In addition to this, he even said the minimum for 10 (not 18 as indicated in the bill) or more pax is 20% and 25% if the bill has to be split and said after he'll see what can be done to help in splitting the bill. And nothing, no effort. We could have split the bill into 2 as the group was seated in 2 separate tables but insisted it's not possible since we requested a table for 10 pax (not 18 as indicated in the bill). I ordered à la cart and the breakfast was pretty good. The chicken sausage was recommended over the bacon and honestly the chicken sausage had a weird after taste to it. Kind of like a burnt taste to it, but I still ate most of it. The grits were perfect and it was a lot of grits in that bowl so that was pretty filling. the eggs didn't really have any seasoning on it but that's OK because the chicken sausage and grits had enough seasoning on it , overall I had a really enjoyable experience here and they actually turned the TV for me so I could watch a basketball game so that was nice as well. I have seen this place dozens of times and have always wanted to try it!! I had been at soccer game at Mercedes Benz late that evening and we came back and we were hungry! They weren't too busy and they were happy to seat our party of 4! We ordered some beers and the wait staff was extremely nice!! We ordered 2 orders of the wings and the fries and this was phenomenal. What made everything worst, out server was rude and kept on rushing from getting our orders, giving us the bill, getting tipped and so obvious to get our table cleaned. We asked a table for 10 pax but were given 2 separate tables for 6 and 4. So we asked for the bill to be split. But he said that if we split the bill, he'll have to charge us 25% service charge (SC) instead of a 20%. Even after a prior agreement before being seated of a split bill and still maintain a 20% SC. The place was quite clean, cozy and not so noisy. This could be a good place to unwind, have some drinks and to get a quick bite specially coming from a long and exhausting travel. Best part of this place is the proximity to the Fox Theater. If that's not important to you, go literally anywhere else. Food is okay. Service staff is beyond bad. No one smiles. No one says hi. Came here before the Lion King matinee last Saturday. It was packed. Not only was the Lion King going on, but it was pride weekend. The hostess told me that there was room at the bar upstairs. Up I went. One seat left and I nabbed it. The bartender Alley was quite busy, but was so friendly. I sat next to two young ladies who were up from Columbus, GA to see the show. We started talking and it was fun. I ordered a cran and titos and a coors light. The beer was cold and the drink was very good. For food I ordered a burger with gorgonzola cheese and a Caesar salad. I ordered the burger medium rare. It wasn't. More medium well. I wasn't very happy with the salad dressing either. Not at all a Caesar tasting dressing. But the stars I've rated aren't for the food, it was for the people. Not only did I have a great conversation with the young ladies from Columbus, but they brought my lunch. 2023 Update: Simply put, this food establishment has me totally hooked. I'm from another state and visit Atlanta with some frequency. PDH is a 'must do' for me on each trip, basically becoming a ritual. I'm made to feel welcome and valued each time I arrive. The food and service has never once disappointed me. One team member (Kristi J) has made the biggest impact of all, and her crafting skills at the bar in the evening make everyone smile. For parties of one or two, I highly encourage considering bar seating (even with meals). A few weeks ago, a new brunch item was offered, and it truly dazzled. Peach glaze French toast. I hope it might still be available soon. Delicious! This restaurant is a popular visit when shows are taking place at The Fox, but I strongly recommend if in the area go and enjoy a relaxed dining experience that's memorable for all the right reasons. It's Labor Day, most restaurants seem to be open, and according to their door dash account which was still taking orders, so was Publik Draft House. We waited 45 minutes before the driver let me know they were closed. Incompetent management forgot to close their door dash. I wonder how many other customers will never return? read more

First time in Midtown in a decade and the place keeps changing (Goodbye Backstreet, but glad to see Bulldogs still there!). Had an appointment at the radiation place down the street and was going to JR Crickets, but they were closed for another hour, then stopped by Midtown Diner and they were closed on Tuesday, so ended up here. We sat outside and the waitress was extremely friendly. She took our drink orders and enjoyed the Publik draft of an oatmeal stout that was solid. My brother got the Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich and I got the Falafel Balls. Both of these came with a ton of fries. My brother said sandwich was OK and I really enjoyed the Falafel with tzatziki sauce. Besides the price being high (it is midtown!), I thought it was a great place with the excellent service and food.
