    TN Hereford Beef Burger

Really enjoyed my FIRST ever visit to Park Cafe to take advantage of midweek happy hour. I've been meaning to come here for years but I don't usually come to the busy area unless it's for dinner at the nearby Cafe Nonna. There was an event happening on the patio so the place was very busy for a Wednesday at 5:30. However, we were able to get one for the half booth/tables at the front where it was a little quieter. The happy hour drink specials are really a great deal & the food offerings pretty solid as well. I went with the Hereford beef burger for my main & we shared some hummus & chorizo stuffed wrapped dates. The other members of my party got a pizza & the shrimp & grits. I should have got a photo of the shrimp & grits because it was huge & the presentation was impressive. $4 happy hour yazoo draft was hard to beat. Service was attentive & they let us linger for a lot longer than we should have even though it was busy. Overall I think it's a great place to hang & have conversations with good food & service.

Jasmine is a spectacular server. The food at Park Cafe is always great, but when the server knows her stuff, engages with guests and makes everyone feel welcome , it makes an evening very special.

Park Café absolutely has the best happy hour in West Nashville! Their M-Sat 3-6pm happy hour is such a gem. Convenient free valet parking (you can even call your car right from your phone!) makes the whole experience easy from the moment you pull up. Inside, it's cozy, warm, and welcoming. Plenty of seating at the bar and bar area, and everyone I interacted with was genuinely kind. The happy hour menu is extensive: beer, wine, cocktails plus a great food selection with lots of vegetarian options. I tried the Sunset Margarita with pomegranate juice. Delicious with a real kick! For food, I enjoyed the hummus with vegetables topped with a fantastic pesto, and the Margherita pizza, which had a very thin crust and wonderful flavor. My friend ordered the pepper jack grits and green chili mac and cheese, both incredibly comforting with good heat. From the regular menu, I also tried the pear cocktail, which was absolutely delightful and such an original flavor profile. Seating was comfortable and relaxed, and service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to plan a small gathering there for next week. The manager immediately set everything up, and I'm confident we'll have a wonderful time.

cannot recommend Park Restaurant in Nashville enough! From start to finish, my dining experience was absolutely exceptional. I started with the Cafe Salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor--a perfect way to begin the meal. For my entrée, I chose the pork chop dinner, and it was cooked to absolute perfection--juicy, tender, and paired with sides that complemented it beautifully. To top it all off, I indulged in the s'mores bread pudding for dessert, and let me just say, it was a showstopper. The rich, gooey chocolate and marshmallow flavors paired with the warm bread pudding made for an unforgettable ending to an incredible meal. The atmosphere was inviting, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the attention to detail in every dish was evident. Whether you're a local or just visiting Nashville, Park Restaurant is a must-try. I'll definitely be back!

Good neighborhood restaurant, on the edge of greatness, habituated by locals. The brunch is excellent. Both the Crab Cake Benedict, try it with Grits, and the Park Breakfast, which has lots of flavors, are excellent. Service at the bar was friendly and fast. There is a full bar, and a short but diverse wine list. The cafe style interior is loud.

Nice experience. My group visited this place for lunch. Valet parking is complimentary and the staff were extremely kind. I got there early and they were very accommodating. For the price the portions were great! Would definitely recommend the food. The drinks... not so much. Our Bloody Marys had so much pepper in them it was sitting at the bottom of the glass. We were coughing. We showed the waitress and she kindly replaced them with mimosas. The vibe was really nice and quaint and the outdoor area was really cool. I would definitely go back for the food and customer service!

This is definitely one of my favorite places! I've been here three times with the occasion and experience being unique each time but always great! This last time was by far the best. I am tempted not to share their big secret which is they are now open for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday! I LOVE finding Saturday brunch places because Sunday brunch is always too busy and it can make it not enjoyable. We sat near the window so we didn't have the cold of the outside but the warmth of the sun! There were people enjoying their meal outside including someone with a dog and a baby. The mimosa options were great tasting and a great value! The Creme Brulee French toast was amazing and the Benedict was prepared perfectly. 100% WILL be returning!

My mother in law and I stopped in on a quiet Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Service was great. Got the half chicken with green beans and sweet corn pudding - and split the parm fries with my MIL. Chicken was good, green beans were awesome with this Asian garlic sauce on them and the fries super crispy and flavorful. Sweet corn pudding ended up being a corn muffin - not sweet at all, pretty bland. Would go again and try some other meals.

I had no idea the park cafe was as lively inside as I've passed it so many times. The food was excellent the only reason it's getting a 4/5 is because they were out of alot of stuff. Waitress was amazing, food was spectacular, and the patio area was beautiful with the fire pits. Will definitely be back!

Park Cafe was 100% packed out but the front end staff allowed us to make a reservation about 2 hours in advanced. The hostess went above and beyond when seating us as she gave us an extensive overview of the menu, the history of the restaurant, and highlighted their best wines. When our meal was finished, she came back to genuinely check to see how our experience was and showed gratitude for us joining in their now customer family. I've never experienced sincerity like this at an Eatery. The food: I had the cheese tortellini which presented beautifully in a circular design with evenly spaced out decadents including tomatoes, artichokes, and other veggies. The sauces ratio was perfect as it enriched the flavor of the cheese in the pasta. My wife ate the Pig and Fig pizza which melted in your mouth with every bite. The cheese spread from top to bottom and emboldened the balsamic flavor. This dish is a must have, non negotiable. The Hashbrown casserole has a savory taste with a hint of sweet undertones as the flavor swirls in your mouth with an aftertaste that leaves you begging for more. The roasted Brussels were the biggest miss of the meal as they were dry and desperately needed sauce or cheese to lighten the taste of earthy greens. We tried both desserts: blondie brownie and the chocolate skillet. The brownie is a 10/10 banging dessert with melt in your mouth chocolate paired perfectly with vanilla ice cream. The skillet was a bit much and didn't do it for us. This place is a must visit and will be on our heavy rotation.

My first experience with Park Cafe last year was excellent, but my experience a few weeks ago was subpar. I think it was a case of a waitress needing more training, so I'm still giving 4 stars. We sat outside on the back patio which was so lovely. We ordered off the happy hour menu (which is available on Fridays) and the drinks were strong and pretty good. Three of us ordered burgers and the waitress never asked how we liked them, so we each got varying degrees. My dad's was completely cooked and mine was mostly pink. We also subbed the fries because we got a plate of fries from the happy hour menu, but we were charged full price for the sides AND didn't get the fries. The waitress also didn't tell us about that, so we were surprised with the bill. Also, she forgot to put in a dish and when we confirmed it wouldn't be on the bill since we didn't receive it, she simply said 'oh yeah, I didn't put that in.' Obviously not a big deal, but I do feel it's customary to apologize when you make a mistake especially at a nicer restaurant. All around, I think this specific waitress probably just needs more training. I will say the hostess was such a gem!

Park Cafe is one of my fiancé's favorite restaurants. We went together for the second time last night before the Yelp Van Gogh event. We had the grilled filet mignon, the salmon and crème brûlée. The filet was a bit dry and a little more done than medium for me. The salmon was had a crispy crust but medium in the middle. That's perfectly cooked for me. The non-traditional crème brûlée with phyllo pastry was delicious and a must try. Complimentary valet parking is offered but my preference is parking on the street whenever possible.

It is tucked in a neighborhood in the West End, and most people were surprised we found it or had heard of it as non-locals. It is a very popular spot. We arrived 20 minutes early and snagged the last parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant. Eric R. wanted to sit outside, so we were directed to wait at the bar until a table opened up. I got the cucumber sage yuzu spritz mocktail, and Eric R. got a local amber beer. Our table was ready within 10 or 15 minutes, so we migrated to it for dinner. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations. We started with three shareables: the mussels in lemongrass serrano beer broth and grilled bread, tempura long-stemmed artichokes on Calabrian chile mascarpone, and the lamb lollipops with pearled cous cous. I tasted the lamb, and it was heavenly, like melt-in-your-mouth tender but with a lot of caramelization. That was really Eric R.'s choice so I let him eat the majority of it. I really enjoyed the mussels and the artichokes! Everything was hot and delicious. I was sipping broth with a mussel shell when the bread ran out, and the host came out with more bread for us! It was so good. We asked to see a dessert menu. Eric R. had a tough choice between carrot cake and blondie with caramel ice cream, but was steered toward the blondie and did not regret it. I asked what the house made ice cream was for the day, and it was coconut matcha with a white chocolate shell topping. That sounded so perfect, and it was AMAZING. The evening was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! That is the answer!

HEADS-UP the happy hour menu is bar-top only, so plan accordingly if you're going specifically for those deals. Limited seating available. Happy Hour & Spice Level I had the happy hour cocktail it was bourbon, lemon and honey. The food was flavorful overall, but I do wish the menu clearly noted which items are spicy. Most of the happy hour dishes seemed to have some kind of chili oil or heat element. That may be great for people who enjoy spice, but it would be helpful to know ahead of time, especially if you're sensitive to heat. For dessert, we always come back for the chocolate panna cotta with graham cracker crumble and burnt marshmallow, which was a nice sweet finish. This one is a must! To put this into next level I recommend adding the pretzel bites instead of graham cracker and a few salted flakes. We also tried the almond butter cornbread with blackberry, but I would avoid it. It was pretty dry and didn't have enough balance. The manager? Said it was a new item they were trying. I think it would be much better with ice cream or a salted caramel sauce to add moisture and richness. It was dry even when I mentioned it they didn't comp it we only had a bite and immediately decided it wasn't worth it. Final Thoughts Overall, Answer is a nice spot with a great happy hour, but clearer spice notes on the menu and a few tweaks to the dessert options would make the experience better. If you are seating by the bar it gets loud I wish the bartender doesn't just throw the drinks/plates so aggressively that it clanks. Also this place gets loud definitely not a lot for sound to absorb.

After we were seated it took a longer than expected time for our server to arrive at the table. In general, everything was slow. I was almost finished with my meal before my second cocktail was delivered. As for the steak, my filet was charred on the outside giving it a burnt taste and was unevenly cooked with parts being overcooked and others undercooked. My husband had the ribeye Maui. It was cut like a breakfast steak, overcooked, and way too much sauce. He said it is the worst steak he has ever eaten (and he eats and prepares a lot of steaks). This was not the experience we had hoped for. We were glad we had a $100 gift card and even with that, our meal cost another $100. This was not the caliber or quality for that cost.

We will be back!!!!

I am going to go a bit contrary to the reviews I have seen on Tantisimo. I did not think it was…read morebad, but I also don't see the hype. There were some things that stood out, but most that did not. I welcome comments on what I should focus on for a future trip, as I am always willing to go from "this is average" to "this is outstanding" if I just did not hit the right notes. Tl;DR - Dessert was the star of the show This came recommended by a guy I recommended Kosho to. He came back with a glowing review of Kosho, so I figured his recommendation of Tantisimo as the best restaurant in Nashville might stick. Perhaps I should add this up to a night that was not hitting on all cylinders? Or perhaps our taste buds were not in line with the crowd here. As such, I find this average with some high notes. Yes, I know most people consider 3 stars to be bad, but to me it was just average. YMMV This was a last minute decision and I was able to find a spot in their parking lot when I drove up. This is a kind of luck I seem to have, but would gladly give up for winning a huge lottery. LOL. Seemed like a great sign. Coming in, the place is small, but definitely builds up the vibe they are going for, which is like a small, upscale cantina. Kudos. Nicely bound cocktail, beer, wine, and liquor list. Kudos. Trisha greeted and was able to lead us to drinks. Kudos again. I got the Much Fashioned, which was like a Latin old fashioned, which uses Belle Meade bourbon, piloncillo, and aztec bitters. Very nicely done cocktail. As it was later, we went more with smaller plates: bolillo bread, pan de bueno, yuca encebollada, crudo, and shrimp skewers. The pan de bueno was a bit like Brazilian Pão de Queijo only less cheesy in execution. The Bolillo bread was more interesting with the chorizo butter. The star of the starches was the yuca encebollada with mushrooms and scallions. The Yellowfin crudo was interesting with the strawberry, which added a nice touch. The fried planatin strips added a nice visual. The shrimp were overly salty and a bit overcooked. We ended with dessert. The CU|FLan was excellent. And extremely well executed flan. I got the carjillo, which reminded me a bit of an espresso with a nice hint of vanilla. I would go back for dessert and drinks, for sure. I am torn on the meal and would love to have any recommendations of what items I did not have I should consider on a future trip.
