    Oriental Chicken Salad @ $11 (4/2022)
    Kimiko D.

Looks like a sleepy restaurant - one family dining inside; plenty of bar seating, and dining room looked really nice. Very reasonably priced. Roasted Jalapeno Hummus ($6) was delish - don't expect any spice; very mild. Oriental Chicken Salad ($11) was surprisingly very good - just the right amount of dressing. Not sure why, but only one person working the bar and restaurant - she was overwhelmed as it got pretty busy in the bar area - a lot of people ordering food. Get more staffing and this place would get 5 stars.

Great food & friendly service. We love it here! The ambience is very pleasant. Definitely a hidden treasure of Garden Grove.

That moment when you realize you are dining alone in a multi-million dollar facility. Cheers!

The burger was juicy and flavorful, and I appreciated that they did not skimp on the mushrooms. They were seasoned well and complemented the melted Swiss perfectly. The spring salad was fresh and a nice lighter balance to the burger. Our food came out quickly, which is always a plus when you are on a lunch break. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, with multiple TVs playing sports, making it a great place to hang out and catch a game. It has that welcoming neighborhood vibe where you feel like a regular even if you are not. The staff were friendly from the moment we walked in and kept my iced tea refilled without me having to ask. Louie's continues to deliver consistently good food and service. Always happy to support a local spot that gets it right. Looking forward to the next visit.

At first glance, it might come off as your average dive bar--but give it a little time, gather with your crew, and you'll quickly realize it's much more than that. Whether you're inside enjoying the cozy, laid-back atmosphere or outside people-watching during the weekly Friday night classic car show, Louis captures that old-town Garden Grove charm--even in 2025. It feels like stepping back a few decades, but in a way that's classic rather than outdated. Prices are still refreshingly reasonable for both food and drinks. I personally love their rotating sour beers on tap--the selection changes often. I once came back within the same week and found the previous sour had tapped out and been replaced with a blueberry pomegranate sour, and both were excellent. As for food, the carne asada burrito is a standout: filling, consistently good, and really hits the spot every time. Service has always been solid. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and they genuinely don't mind if you sit and linger for a while. They regularly check in without being intrusive, which makes it an easy place to settle in for the evening. And if you didn't know--every Friday night Main Street shuts down for a free classic car show, and Louis is the spot to be. Whether you're grabbing a front-row seat, pregaming, or stopping by afterward, it's perfectly positioned. All in all, Louis on Main is a dependable, community-driven bar with history, fair prices, and timeless charm. Not flashy--but that's exactly the point.

Everything was really good, especially the Brussels sprouts which were easily some of the best I've had. And the craft cocktails were spot on. They were also playing the Champions League Finals on the TVs which was good. I assume they'll play the World Cup games too. We ordered the Gravy Train and the Ham-azing Croissant. Just a warning, the Ham-azing Croissant is HUGE! This is a definitely a dish meant for sharing. They asked if we wanted them to pour the sauce over the croissant or leave it on the side to dip in. We decided to leave it on the side to be dipped. This croissant sandwich was very dense and filling and the cheese sauce was very rich. I been on the hunt to find the best biscuits and gravy in OC. The ones here were ok. I liked the idea of getting these with fried chicken but unfortunately the fried chicken was quite dry and stringy. The biscuits themselves were buttery and the gravy sauce was very savory and had onion chunks. But the dry chicken made the entire dish very hard to eat. Overall this was a decent brunch, mostly since we spent under $40 for so much food so it was a decent deal.

I have come to Ini a couple of times whenever I stop by the Orange County area, and my graduation dinner was no exception. What makes them so unique is their perfect balance between Asian flavors and Italian classics. Everything I have tasted here has been delicious and has exceeded my expectations. Something I appreciate, besides the aesthetic interior, is their unique selection of dishes ranging from innovative pizzas, creamy and original pastas, and bright, flavorful appetizers. Here are a couple of items that I want to shout out: First, the truffle honey bread. I really appreciated the crispiness of the cheese on top and the bounciness of the fluffy bread paired with the sweetness of the honey. It creates a very balanced bite that keeps you wanting more. The raw salmon appetizer was a huge hit with our table. The citrus paired very well with the salmon itself, and even though this is a common appetizer at many fusion restaurants, they really do it right. The beef carpaccio was a great fusion dish and a wonderful nod to the Asian flavors that inspired them. This is a dish I have ordered multiple times, and it always hits the spot. Out of all the pizzas, I enjoyed the mala lamb the most. It actually was not too spicy, with a nice peppery flavor. Sometimes lamb can be a bit overpowering; however, when topped with the mala honey, everything balanced out perfectly. I also want to note that I have never seen this flavor combination anywhere else, and I think it is definitely something you need to try if you are here. The short rib gnocchi was another favorite of mine. The gnocchi was fluffy and cloud-like and paired really well with the umami-rich, savory flavor of the short rib. The meat itself was very tender and pulled apart easily, making every bite delicious. There are other dishes I could mention, but I do want to shout out the scallop risotto. This one definitely surprised me, as I am not usually a big risotto eater. I appreciated the creaminess of the rice mixed with the scallop, and even though it was a cream-based dish, it did not feel heavy at all. The service was very friendly, and everything came out in a timely manner, which I especially appreciated considering we had a big group. Overall, I will always try to find a reason to come back here, as this place really does take the cake for me when it comes to Kei concept restaurants.
