The apartments have been a loud and dirty construction zone for the last year. The remodeling, retrofitting, were never disclosed to us when we signed the lease. The "amenities" as advertised could not be used and mangement was never around. Our child could never nap due to the noise and actually dangerous because it's a small property when you can hear everything and everyone. And then they took half our deposit to clean THEIR MESS!! As soon as our lease was up in December, we bailed. Stay away. read more

People say she is not in office much, but she runs two locations, and ALWAYS answers call's and communicates very well with all renters here. The grounds are always clean and tidy! I've lived here since June and I expected that living in Lafayette would be nice and quiet and easy. This apartment complex is none of those things! The office is advertised to be open from Tuesday-Saturday 9-5:30...the attendant, Gabriella, is in the office *maybe* three days a week and usually only between like 10 and 12 and then again from 2 to 4!!! She is also quite useless, rude, and unhelpful. The upstairs neighbors are loud and we have called the police on them multiple times. The apartment complex couldn't care less about our complaints and they've done absolutely nothing about these CLEAR violations of Lafayette city noise ordinances. I've had heat intermittently on and off between October and now December and they will not fix it properly. Stay away from this hovel!!!!! When my lease is up, I'm completely out of this dump and will be hiring a lawyer to sue them for their incompetence! Please, Please, PLEASE stay away from this place!!!! It is a trap and I hope the state shuts this place down!!!! read more

My husband and I lived here for two years and it was a lovely experience. Jennifer (the manager) and Ricky (maintenance supervisor) were both super kind and always on top of everything in the community. The neighborhood is great because you can easily walk to downtown Lafayette as well as the local trail. The only downside was that the walls were on the thin side so sometimes you could hear a bit of noise from neighbors, which is somewhat reasonable if you're renting an apartment in a shared community. We never had any maintenance issues our entire stay. We also had two small dogs and I felt that the complex was very pet friendly (even supplying dog waste bags). I would definitely recommend this community. read more

it has now been 2.5 months since we officially moved out, and i can see from the website that our unit is still available. that is because they are still asking for $1,725.00 plus an additional $75/month if you happen to have a pet. sadly we thought $1,800/month for this type of "town home" in such an upscale city was going to be good deal. however, i hope my review as well as potential word of mouth is enough to hinder them from renting this unit. to be honest, if i had to put a price on this unit considering all of the short comings and the terrible floor plan... i would have to say that nobody should pay more than $1,500/month (including pet rent). yes this place does have a good dishwasher, range, ok fridge, and great washer/dryer combo, but i think the lack of a real dining area, noisy neighbor environment, terrible parking setup, unreliable maintenance, and terrible air circulation and temperature differentials are what drops the price. read more

WHERE TO BEGIN! This was possibly the WORST living experience I ever encountered. I moved into a 2-bedroom apartment near the office/pool. My biggest issue were the neighbors! OMG There was an old crazy woman who unfortunately lived right next to me who literally HARASSED me from day one. She would bang on the walls and yell and scream "SHUT UP"!!! among other complete insanities.The walls are paper thin so you could literally hear a people talking, walking, closing doors, etc... This old lady had so much nerve to complain about NOTHING! She called the police on me multiple times but it was obvious she had some type of issue as the Lafayette PD had already built a history with her and her DRAMA. I ended up living there for about 3 weeks and MOVED OUT! She was evicted shortly after! Thankfully! MANAGEMENT failed horribly! They did not deal with this type of situation correctly. I think the manager is she old lady! Be careful she may seem nice but really is a horrible manager! Also the overall living experience was terrible! No privacy as neighbors are RUDE and incredibly DUMB! I had a lady come knock on my door complaining about walking in the living room! IT WAS HORRIBLE! I rented a 2br 1.5ba townhouse for one year, and it was amazing! The newly renovated apartments are beautiful, and I couldn't have been happier here. There must have been a change in management, because after reading some of the older reviews I couldn't believe it after my experience. The landlord was very professional, and easy to work with, and the maintenance team responded to requests usually the same day if they had time. Now for the people complaining about noise, I personally had great neighbors, but yes you can hear them if they have friends over or if the TV is too loud. What else would you expect from apartment living? All that matters is: 1) Is the neighborhood safe? Yes! 2) Does management/maintenance do their jobs? Yes! 3) Is the complex free of litter? Yes! I don't like the pressure into renting , I also do not like that i had to give my land lord notice, get $88 check for checking credit and background, had 200$ READY TO GIVE DEPOSIT told a lady i am very interested and be there by 5:00-5:30 only to learn that apartment is rented. My Fiance and I lived here a little over a year and had a wonderful experience. If it wasn't for us having to move out due to renovations we would of definitely stayed. The management Jennifer is super responsive, friendly, and helpful. Ricky is also great, always on top of anything that needed attention and always stops to say hi and make conversation. So after moving out after close to three (3) years, here's my year by year review. I rented a 1bed with a washer and dryer in unit. Things seemed to fall apart at regular intervals. But repaired fairly quickly by their handyman. Jesse I think. I'm sorry if you read this review, I can't remember your name after 3 years. Bad I know. I'd give this place more stars if the neighbors were a little more welcoming when I came here. That experience detailed below. Year 1. The first month went swimmingly, but it seemed apparent that after the neighbors were aware of my existence in the apartment, some unwarranted complaints started coming my way. I admit to playing music, movies and living in my apartment, after all what else would I do in my apartment? But a woman next door to me seemed to have a vendetta against me for no apparent reason other than she seemed that she just needed to talk to someone, I guess. Either way, she'd complain about noise loud enough to shake or "Vibrate the walls" in her words even when I wasn't doing anything in my apartment other than reading. I even got an noise complaint against me in my apartment, when I was at work of which, is in a city across a body of water away. (The SF Bay) Her boyfriend, fiance, roommate, husband person that lived with her seems pretty chill for the most part. He came to my door once in place of her. But I don't know if that did anything to ease her mind. He also helped me get my new computer tower into my apartment so he does get brownie points there. Other than that I don't have anything else to add to the first year. Year 2. Should I state that the neighbor I'm about to speak of still lives here apparently. Even though they moved to a different apartment in the same complex and were right next to me for the first two years. The problem here was that they had a chiwawa, which I have no problem with. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. But I don't think they knew how to raise one. After all who lets their dog of any breed bark for 2+ hours some point after midnight. It seemed their solution was to put the dog in their back patio which changed NOTHING. But you know you haven't raised your dog right when the other neighbor who had put noise complaints on me over nothing had two to three dogs (I think) of a larger breed and had only heard the dogs bark at all once during a three year period. And that was because they had visitors, not because someone walked past your window at 2:00PM. Now I'm a dog advocate, I was raised around dogs nearly my whole life and I can tell you right now, my neighbor may have been hallucinating noises, but at least she knew how to raise a dog. This year is when they started upgrading things around the apartment complex. IE: The pool, parking spaces, added a grill & outdoor TV. This apparently warranted a rent raise by an amount that I wasn't really up to complain about at the time. By the time the chiwawa people moved out I still saw them walk the dog which, seemed to bark less. But it also seemed like they kept the dog away from anything or anyone that it'd bark at. Like everything and anyone. I understand that I'm harping on this chiwawa, and that they have lots of that kind of energy. But if you're not ready to deal with that kind of energy, don't. You'll be happier, everyone around you, immediate and not will be happier. Just saying, it's a dog, not a toy. Please raise it so your neighbors don't have to listen to the song of it's people longer than they absolutely have to. After they moved out though, a guy moved in and sometimes plays club music occasionally, but not loud enough at all to complain about. Sometimes I don't even notice it. Also, this was the year my car was broken into in the private on property spot that I rented while living here. Cops never figured out who broke into my car. Year 3. This was probably the better of the three. Ms. NoiseComplaint didn't seem to hallucinate things that weren't there. Mr. BadMusicTaste on the other side next door was chill. Other than things periodically needing fixing the apartment did seem to need a good bug bombing every 8 months or so. Never used the pool, or the exercise areas so I wouldn't know too much of how that is. I do walk past the pool to get to my apartment every day, and even though it looks nice, I wouldn't get in it. Too many kids seem to run in and out of the thing for me to trust that there isn't kiddy piss in that pool. In conclusion this apartment is good, but NOT for the asking price of rent. Especially for a town like this. They're asking more than $2100 for a one bed, which is highway robbery if you ask me. If they were renting this place out for anywhere from $1500-$1700 this place would be five star perfect. Otherwise it's a thoroughly overpriced apartment in a sleepy town that I don't see a lot of people staying in for too long. read more

The online leasing system listed the apartment I was interested in at 1335. I went through a bunch of questions with the leasing agent and was just about ready to submit my application when she reveals the price is actually 300 dollars higher since it's been remodeled. If you want to hear children crying, neighbors engaging in nightly screaming activities, playing tv and stereos in to the morning hours, then this is this the place to move to. You can hear everything that goes on in your neighbors apartment and then some. Do you like to step in dog feces and smell pet urine?? Then move here. Do you like walls that have been painted so many times you can barely put a nail in the walls? Then move here. Do you like to play Where's Waldo when you need help or maintenance staff? Then move here. Do you like your apartment flooded because of poor maintenance, ongoing plumbing issues and a total lack of concern from managements side? Then move here.................. Do like to party all night and have keg parties with college students from the local college? Then for sure you should move here! Party on dudes... Lets recap, ....old,.... noisy, ....smelly,.....nasty,rude,unprofessional staff, poorly constructed apartments, overpriced for what you get, plumbing issues. Yep, home sweet home! Drive by and then keep on going! You get what you pay for and this experience was not worth it!! There are many nice apartments in Lafayette . P.S. My daughter and another student rented an apartment at this complex this past year. They moved out at the end of May. Now it is almost July and we have yet to receive our cleaning deposit back. They have a policy of returning it to the Co-Leaser even though they received separate checks from us and my daughters roommate for the cleaning deposit and rent all through the year. All 3 names are on the check. So you have to have all three people together to cash the check, or have it sent to one person and trust that they will send you your share. The roommate lives a great distance from us and we haven't heard anything from them. I called and complained to the manager and the apartment management company and they hide behind "that is our policy, and standard in the industry". Well, of course it is. They make it as difficult as possible to get your money back and guess what - they get to keep the money. Or the ex-roommate and her family signed my daughter's name and kept the money (which is what I expect happened). read more

I've recently moved to the Park Lafayette apartments and have found the transition great. I'm in a 2 bedroom unit and the apartments are very dog friendly which is wonderful - in fact the vet is only 1 block away. As with any move in, I had a couple of small issues which were taken care of very quickly by Nancy, the manager, and Jonathan, the maintenance man. I have found living here stress free and so convenient to be able to walk a few blocks to almost anything I need including Bart (within 1 mile), the shopping district and the beautiful new library. My apartment amenities are wonderful and it really does feel like an apartment home. read more

I saw this appartment listed on Craigslist for $100 cheaper than what it is. I have been calling the managment like crazy and finally I get an email back. Once I got an email back I started calling again. No one was answering but I was receiving correspondence via email. The price offered was $100 more than the listed price, When I asked why, they said "beacause there is a washer and dryer in the unit", however the washer and dryer has been in the unit for at least a year. I dont like the way this place sounds and I havnt even had a chance to look at it in person yet. Bad business, no DEAL! read more

My family moved to Lafayette for our boy and girl since the schools are some of the best in the country. It is easy access to freeway, city center, schools and no traffic. The application process was easy, moving in was simple, and our 10 months living so far have been good. Friendly staffs maintained any problem quickly. Pool, gym and BBQ grill have been remodeled this year. We like new BBQ grill. Rent is comparable to everywhere else in this area. Parking stalls are not enough for visitors. read more
