OMG! This is such a hidden gem - I really don't want to share lol! Beautiful property with easy access to the strip and FREE PARKING! As others have mentioned, the casino and overall vibe of the property is tame compared to other hotels on the strip. I personally appreciated the respite from the energy of the city but others might find the calmer energy to be a turnoff. Didn't get to try out the pools but they looked nice along with the outdoor stage. There are also a few restaurants on-site including Nobu and another restaurant with a great breakfast buffet. My only gripes were with check-in (long lines with no option for online check-in), and room service (breakfast only, not 24/7). Overall, a great and affordable option for your next Vegas trip

My friends and I decided on a staycation to celebrate a birthday this weekend, and spending the day at the Virgin Hotel pool turned out to be a great decision. The weather was beautiful, the music was a little boring but that's ok lol, and the atmosphere struck a nice relaxed vibe without feeling overcrowded. After grabbing our drinks, we settled into a comfortable spot and spent the afternoon unwinding. The pool area was well maintained, the staff was welcoming. Guests were enjoying themselves in different ways. I really like the 21+ pool. It seemed to be colder in temp compared to the other pool downstairs. It is hot up there because the sun is shining directly on the deck & they are no umbrellas up there. One of the best things about Las Vegas is that you can enjoy a getaway without ever leaving the city. This pool day felt like a mini vacation and was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday. Between the pleasant atmosphere, good service, and time spent with friends, it was an experience we would happily do again.

Hey yall! $35 (2 hr) SPA AMENITIES DEAL! From 4-6pm daily, you get to use the full spa areas, including sauna, steam rooms, hot tubs, pools inside the spa, and the gym.... That's a deal! For non hotel guests even! I couldn't find this deal anywhere else! It costs $180 for the spa entry at Resort world, I'm so happy I didn't go. Can't wait to try this out on sat or sun! I was told the gym is across from the spa and it's open door till 6pm daily! Yay!! I'm going!!

I recently stayed here for a work conference in the area. I thought this was a conveniently located, quiet option for those visiting Vegas. It was pretty affordable and has basic amenities. Service at the front desk was just okay. I had several billing issues that were quickly resolved, but it was annoying to keep calling. The room was very large with a separate vanity area, which I appreciated. My room could have been a little cleaner. The velvet furniture looked worn and was covered in other people's hair (ew!). The bathroom also had a lot of stray hairs when I checked in. This kind of grossed me out and kicked off my stay on the wrong foot. This resort is huge, so prepare to give yourself plenty of time to walk around. It took me almost 15 minutes to get from the front door all the way to my room. It was mostly quiet - the only issue I had was that the walls were thin, so I could hear my neighbors when they got rowdy on night. The spa onsite is nice, but not all of the amenities were open during my treatment. They have a discount for resort guests, but you have to ask for it to be applied. The pool area looked quite nice, but it closed every day at 6:00. This was super annoying since I was looking forward to getting some sun after my conference each day. Overall, I think this hotel is just fine. It is a good alternative to busier casino hotels on the strip if you're looking to be a little removed from the chaos. I likely wouldn't stay here again, but enjoyed it for what it was.

Tried 2 consecutive days, not working :((

I flew into Vegas to meet up with a friend whom I have not met for a long time. Decided to stay my last 2 nights in a hotel instead of staying with my friend for the entire trip. Originally wanted to stay at Conrad Las Vegas but read everywhere that the property would not feel like a Conrad. So I decided to try out Virgin Hotel here. For the price point I paid, perhaps I should not complain too much. Then again .. ROOM 20710 - 2/5 The Strip view one bedroom chamber was big. There was a door which can closed off the bedroom from the entry way, vanity desk, closet and bathroom. The main room and bathroom were clean. Décor was modern and bright. The hybrid bed was "innovative" but did not serve me any purpose. To me, it is just a "sound good" idea but just a bit gimmicky to me. Bed was a bit too soft, but I have no problem cos my parachute home mattress topper feels like sleeping on a cloud. So I am used to soft mattress. Unfortunately, bed was not made properly. Underneath the duvet, sheet was not tucked in fully (See pic). And the bathroom mat has a stain (See pic). I don't think any hotel should reuse linens with a stain for the next guest. Now the most regrettable of all for this Strip view room was the noise from the pool. I could not sleep in since the music from the pool started thumping from around 9.30am and would go on all day and evening. I get that this is Vegas, but I have been to Conrad Bali which they too have music at the pool, but this is almost offensive. Conrad Bali highest floor is 3rd, I was on the 7th floor. SERVICE - 3/5 The staff who checked me in, she was a-ok. Not too friendly, a bit robotic. Now what made this a lower tier hotel for me was, the staff failed to tell me which direction to go. There are 3 towers here: Canyon, Opal and Ruby. So where are the elevators? Basically the staff handed me the keys and then expected me to find my way around the enormous area with slot machines and what not. I walked back but saw there were other people checking in. So I wanted to ask the staff at the bell desk where were the elevators for the Canyon Tower. While waiting, I turned back to look at my friend who was standing at a distance, and only then I saw the sign directing the way to Canyon Tower. Check-in staff has clearly failed to give directions to the guest on where she should head to. This experience was the first for me. The housekeeping staff I ran into the hallway was polite and friendly though. And the check out staff was friendly too (He asked how was my stay; I only casually mentioned about the music). Thanks to these staff, the reason why the 3/5 here. If not, I would rate the service a zero. OTHERS - 1/5 Tried to order food pick up from the TV by scanning the QR code for 2 days. Wanted some wings from Kitchen Express. and burger the next day. Did not work (See pic). In the end, I ordered Ubereats and then pick up a slice of pizza at the Pizza Forte. The pizza was decent, but staff were nice. Why would the coffee shop (Funny Library Coffee Shop) at the hotel closes at 1pm daily?? I won't recommend anyone who wants to go to casino or shows, but like some peace & quiet when back to their hotel. But for those who want sound stimulation all day, then why not? I do wonder the rooms that cost less (not having that overrated Strip View) located on the other side would have less noise.

I really liked this hotel. It's a little off the strip. We did walk it back in the day, but I don't recommend doing so at night. Upon arrival after getting to the front desk there is a separate line for Hilton Honors gold & diamond members as well as the VIP Virgin hotel rewards guests which was nice. Check in at the hotel was a little slow, but service was amazing and friendly throughout the stay. Only part of a real challenge was navigating how to get into the pool. The hotel is a little different logistically with three towers and all the different spaces. For gambling- sign up for the cherry rewards to play and they have like a $10 promo. I'm a big Hilton fan so I had this on the list to stay. As a Diamond member, no real upgrade was "available" but was thanked for the loyalty and assigned to a corner room which I loved. No ability on the app to select your own room though. I was in the opal Tower sixth floor with a parking garage view and a hotel view. The room itself was delightful and no complaints. Careful not to touch the mini bar or the sensor activated beverage stand you'll be billed after a minute for the item. I was forewarned and the advice was appreciated. I did have trouble with the logistics of the shared login room system with the phone and gave up as it wasn't worth the effort. I did love the lighting and that I could dim all the rooms from the switches. Was just a one night stay, but I think what sold this hotel for me is the service, and the hotel amenities, and quality of the room itself.

I Had a fantastic stay over the weekend. I checked in around 3 pm and went home to get my stuff ( local) . As I returned and went to the room I noticed a loud annoying noise coming from the elevator. I quickly went downstairs for a room change , Ayla from front desk was amazing and quickly changed me to a new room . The rooms are clean and spacious. The sand bottom pool is awesome and definitely gave me real vacation vibes .

Off the Strip, in the former Hard Rock Hotel, the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas was a bit of a change for us. I don't think the surrounding neighborhood was as nice as our stay at The Palazzo, and the drive up to the hotel is just ok. We stayed in the Ruby Tower, which had a nice lounge area. Our Ruby King Grand Chamber Suite and Ruby 2 Queen Grand Chamber Suite were roomy, 700 sq. ft. with separate areas, lots of storage, funky modern style and furnishings. The King Suite only had a shower, while the Queen Suite had a tub. Checkin stressed how sensitive the mini bar was, and that touching the items would lead to being charged (I've heard this about other Vegas hotels too). Very generous with the Red Flower amenities. We had to call housekeeping once because they removed all of our towels. The gym (24/7) and Juice Bar were nice; the pool area was closed but there were people out on the lawn area. There are events held on the outside area, although we tended to be out in the evening. I would like to try the puppy yoga sometime, or if I do return, I am so intrigued by the Vibroacoustic Electromagnetic device and would like to try it. (I've never heard of it and I will do some research on it in my area). The casino seemed smallish and seemed very quiet to me. I'm not a gambler, but if I were, I think I would venture out from this casino. We enjoyed our stay, although this doesn't seem like the right fit for us. Am I wrong, does the Virgin brand/cherry marketing (which Virgin uses because it is "sweet") seem off to you?

This review is for the casino and businesses inside. We have been here several times to seen shows in the 24 Oxford showroom and eat at a few restaurants inside. Parking is free and convenient. The staff is friendly and casino areas clean and the overall atmosphere is very good. I only had one bad experience at a concert here in their concert theater with a particular usher. The 24 Oxford showroom is a nice venue and has has some interesting and great shows to include Lady Like, Frank Marino's Divas, Drag & Drinks, and Little Miss Nasty shows. Overall, we have had good experiences here.

For ease & convenience, we chose to stay at Virgin Hotels where we were attending the AVN Expo being held in their event space. The noise situation might deter us from booking here again. We requested to switch rooms because the one we were assigned was bombarded with whines & squeaks from the nearby elevators. Such a shame to move, as our original room was so spacious. I'm not certain if this problem exists only in the Canyon Tower, but something in their elevator shaft is in desperate need of some good lubricating (if you know what the AVN Awards are, you'll know why that sentence is so fitting lol) The room we moved to was smaller, but much quieter with the exception of planes overhead. Virgin Hotels is a quick five-minute drive to LAS which, combined with inadequate sound-proofing windows, explains the noise pollution. Needless to say, this isn't the hotel to choose if you require a peaceful night's rest. Everything was good enough -- service, cleanliness, comfort of bed, proximity to the Strip, the food at One Steakhouse on their lobby level -- but ideally, we'll try a different hotel on our next jaunt to Vegas.

This was the old Hard Rock hotel. I got to stay here since it Robin Hood used the location to host their 2025 Summit. The hotel was nice and the staff were super organized in helping us find everything. Overall the casino is pretty small from what I remembered back in the day. Maybe it's because it was mid week but the crowd was really light. It's a bit off the strip. Parking was easy.

The Virgin Hotels Las Vegas hosted the annual NASPP Conference in October, 2025. For ease and convenience as an attendee and presenter, I chose to stay here. Below are my reservation details: Arrival Date : Monday, 10/20/2025 Departure Date: Friday, 10/24/2025 Room Type : 2 QUEENS CHAMBER Room Rate : $219 + tax/night Nightly Resort Fee: $45 (+tax) inclusive of best-in-class amenities and added benefits for hotel guests, including Daily Wellness Classes, 15% off Spa Services, in-room streaming services, including Netflix and Hulu, High Speed Internet Access, Two (2) Bottles of Water and Notary Services (2 Documents). The Resort Charge is not included in the daily rate. Originally the home of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, where I once stayed many years ago, I was curious to see the transformation of the property. Here's the lowdown on the remodeled resort: LOCATION (unchanged from its Hard Rock Hotel Days): Just 2 miles from the Las Vegas International Airport, when we arrived by Uber, Ray and I were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we arrived at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The Hilton property is only two blocks, a mile east from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, so still very near attractions, but distant enough to get a quieter, calmer stay from the chaos on the Strip. Although not located on Las Vegas Boulevard, Planet Hollywood and the Wynn are only about a 25 minutes' walk away. As walking back to your room after a night out on the Strip isn't an easy hop, skip and jump, a car ride through the Vegas Strip traffic is usually required to get to where the happenings are. VENUE: The entire space has been completey renovated from the Hard Rock Hotel days. Long gone are the predecessor's rock n' roll artifacts, replaced by a tranquil modern desert aesthetic. The resort houses an array of good restaurants (NOBU, KASSI Beach House, ONE STEAKHOUSE, etc.) and a significantly smaller casino compared to those on the Strip. With only 550 slot machines and just a little more than 45 game tables, the casino tends to be emptier than the huge ones on the strip, giving off a less exciting vibe...which can be appealing to some. There are three guest room towers; CANYON, OPAL and RUBY. ROOM/"CHAMBER": Room 20918 in the CANYON tower is where we (Z arrived with me and Mom & her sisters showed up on Wednesday, the 20th) stayed. With natural colours of white, cream, and light wood dominating the chamber, bright orange and hues of rust and mustard popped through from the bedroom door, wall art and groovy chairs. The queen beds, connected by a single ergonomic headboard that also functioned as seating in between the two beds, were very comfortable. The chamber also featured a well sized flat-screen television, spacious shower, albeit sans a bench, ample charging outlets, and an expansive view of the swimming pool. We appreciated the dedicated space, with a sliding door to close off from the sleeping section, for a dressing area and stylish sit-down vanity desk with lighted mirror. The room was great, but I did notice a low, constant horn-sounding noise as if we were on a boat. I never figured out the source of that bizarre sonance...nor did my roommates hear it. SERVICE: No room service offered here, unfortunately. Bummer. Housekeeping was excellent, though. Myra/Mayra (sp?) cleaned our room every day during our stay and she went above and beyond to ensure that we were well supplied with the red flower toiletries as well as enough daily bottles of water for everyone in our party. Heads-up - I recommend that lodgers check their receipts when settling invoices; I caught two errors of being overcharged for nightly resort fees when I first prepaid for the reservation in May/June and when I checked out on October 24. They had to refund me $22 in June and $204.08 at check-out. Issues aside, our stay was cozy and pleasant. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is a perfect choice for those who want to enjoy the energy of Sin City, but are also seeking a more relaxed resort to retreat from the hubbub of the Strip.

Is the pool heated?

The heated pool has been closed since the Summer of 2025.

Is there seating or handicap section for concerts on the lawn?

Yes

I know the rooms are nice, but what about the gambling? That's what I come for. What are the typical minimums for BJ? Do they have side bets? I love Video Poker. Do the machines pay out?

Are pets (small dogs) allowed?

dont bring them. they'll chase you down if your dog has an accident even if you cleaned it. they only have ONE pet relief area. they wont even tell you about the fees they have for if your dog has an accident

Does this hotel allow children?

I've seen a few kids in there but honestly I see more dogs than kids. It's pet friendly. Not much for a kid to do there.

Are we allowed to bring water to the pool?

Yes of course

How much is it for those staying there to access the spa area just as a day pass?

Is parking free?

When I was last there in March '23, Self-parking and Valet were still complimentary. The Self-Parking is available at the Opal (Paradise Parking Garage) and Ruby Tower (Harmon Parking Garage), but always best to ask when checking in or to call to… Read more

To use the pool do all guests have to be named on the reservations?

If they they are with you it's ok.

Is the hotel pet friendly?

I've seen guests with pets, but I'm sure you have to pay a little extra.

Is this hotel kid friendly?

I would say so, it's not as smokey as the other hotels/casinos. The pool area is nice too if you planning to travel when the weather is nicer.

Do you have smoking rooms?

No they don’t.

Is there any shuttle to/from the strip?

No! But their is Uber, Taxi, Lyft etc

Are there any EV chargers (i have a Tesla) in the parking garage for hotel guests?

They do. They are in the 3rd floor of the parking garage by the Ruby Tower. The slow charging ones are free!

Is there a shuttle that takes/picks up from both hotel/airport?

I do not believe so, and definitely not anything provided by the hotel when we were there late 2021. We used Uber to and from the airport.

Do they have AC in the rooms? I can't find that information anywhere.

Yes, there is AC in the rooms. Just stayed there in February. It's Vegas, no AC would be a death sentence.

Can anyone tell me how fast the Wi-Fi is? Is it more than 20 Mbps? Will need to do Zoom meetings.

I was able to with no problem

Are there bathtubs in the king rooms in canyon opal tower?

Yes, in the suite we had a bathtub and a separate shower

Do you have late check out?

Yes. But you need to ask for it when you check in -- chancing that the folks at the front desk answer the phone when you need them is riskier than playing Roulette after a full night of drinking.

Can I use fitness room for free when I stay?

Yes, steep $50 daily resort fee includes gym access

No, it wasn't the same as the ones in Venice (I know because I've been in Venice and ridden one of their gondolas), but you know that going in. You're in Vegas so I didn't expect the same thing. I was looking forward to the Vegas version of this classic ride and I got it. Was it over priced? Yes. At the same time you get what you pay for. A fun ride around the camels in the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. There was supposed to be an photographer taking our picture so we can buy at the end, but his camera malfunctioned so we didn't get the shot. This was a huge disappointment as I'm all about pictures and I really wanted the opportunity to see the glamorous shot the professional photographer took and if it captured the. Moment like i had I would have bought it. Fortunately we weren't totally relaying on him. I'm overly thrilled with my photo, I got exactly what I paid for a fun ride and the perfect shot to frame and remember this day. And yes, I really did frame it and it sits on my piano. As long as you know what you're paying for, it's totally worth it. For the Hotel/Resort: The basic rooms here are better than the majority of other strip hotels. I personally think its top 3, even a small upgrade here gets you a very spacious room. I have stayed in the regular rooms and suites at both The Venetian and The Palazzo. The venetian rooms are more updated, but the Palazzo rooms are good too. The self parking has a lot of spaces but ingress/egress is easier at The Palazzo. However the valet parking here is faster compared to other resorts. The rideshare pickup/dropoff is good too. The casino floor is bright, clean, and good gaming variety. For the slots, I like that they have both old and new machines. I like the older "top dollar" and "run for your money" machines. I also like some of the new machines like KONG . They also have a great variety of video poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps! I have yet to play at the tables here but they have a good variety. The beverage service is good, but coverage/timing could be improved. I feel like some parts of the casino floor do not get as much service. They also have a great variety of food and restaurant options for all budgets. My personal favorite here is Estiatorio Milos. A close second would be SushiSamba. However, I have never had a bad meal here. I also recommend Sugarcane, Chica, Cote, and Smith/Wollensky. I still want to try the other options here! Overall great place to stay or check out. I always leave here feeling great!

She gave us a choice between a room close to the elevator or midway down the hall, and advised going with the latter since the hotel was hosting a cheer convention (i.e., excited kids everywhere!). Her advice was spot on and her customer service was top notch. Truly a fantastic way to start our weekend. Room: Our room was gorgeous: spacious, super clean, and well maintained. We had a great pool view, loved the privacy door for the toilet, and the stone-walled shower with a bench was a nice upgrade. There was also a large soaking tub with a clear view into the bedroom, a desk, and a separate seating area with two ridiculously comfy leather chairs. Pool & Amenities: After unpacking, we went straight to the pool. The main area has two large pools separated by a walkway and cabanas, with two jacuzzis at the end near a huge outdoor screen. There's also a day club if you're looking for a party vibe, complete with its own bar, pool, cabanas, and a live DJ. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun and loved the easy access to drinks from the mid-bar or roaming servers (didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but maybe next visit!). Parking & Fees: There is plenty of parking available in the lots, which makes coming and going a breeze. A $40 or $50 daily resort fee does apply, but that's pretty typical these days and didn't feel out of the ordinary. Final Thoughts: Every detail, from the clean air to the thoughtful service and beautiful property, made this a memorable stay. M Resort is definitely a notch above most Vegas hotels. Highly recommend, and can't wait to come back!

While it's at the far end of the strip just past Resort's World, it's not too far from downtown Vegas so it works out nicely if you plan to spend time in both areas. Although we didn't make use of them, the nearby monorail takes you to the center strip and the Tesla Tunnel can get you over to the Wynn which saves you about 20-25 minutes of walking. Parking is free as long as you sign up for their free rewards program. The resort itself is gorgeous and you could truly just spend your time in Vegas here without going to other resorts. My main requirement when searching for a hotel was a nice pool, as I wanted to lay out and enjoy the Vegas heat. Including the dayclub Liv, there are 7 pools here. 3 massive pools make up the majority of the area, with 2 adults only pools and one smaller pool tucked away. There's a bar in the center and waitresses that come around to take your food and drink orders. The chairs did get packed but we were always able to find 2 seats together. Don't always expect to be able to get an umbrella though. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was so friendly. The woman who checked me in, I believe her name was Gabby, made me feel extra special because I was visiting for my birthday. Everything about the decor of this hotel is high end. They have some amazing restaurants as well as a food court. I wish the food court had a few more casual options, but we opted for a chicken sandwich that was pretty delicious. We stayed in a Noble Suite which was extremely spacious with a full living room, bar area, large restroom, second smaller bathroom, and comfortable bed. We had a stunning view overlooking the strip, Sphere and pool and each element of the room felt luxurious. Keep an eye out for when they offer deals, because you can grab some pretty good rates.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is technically on the Strip, but it does not feel like it at all, and that is exactly why I would absolutely stay here. It is quieter, cleaner, newer, and far less chaotic than the core Strip hotels. You do not get that constant overload of noise and traffic, and the entire property feels more controlled and elevated. It almost feels like it sits off the Strip even though it does not, which is a major advantage. The high end shops are a nice touch, although realistically most people are not walking in there to spend money, especially at places like Rick Owens. The food options, however, are surprisingly reasonable for a hotel of this level, with plenty of choices, and LIV is a strong draw since it is one of the top clubs in Las Vegas right now. This Fontainebleau does not feel anything like the Miami version, but if you are craving that energy you can always grab a slice at Miami Slice and call it a day. Room pricing is more approachable than expected, with nights ranging roughly from $120 to $300 depending on timing. Just keep in mind the resort fee runs about $62 per night, so a $120 room is really closer to $180 all in, which is still a very solid value for a newer luxury hotel in Las Vegas. My number one is still the Wynn, but this comes in strong at number two without question.

The shopping options are amazing, and the restaurants offer some of the best dining experiences on the Las Vegas Strip with a wide variety of choices for every taste. My favorite spot at the resort is XS Nightclub, which always delivers a great atmosphere and unforgettable nightlife experience. I've also always admired Steve Wynn and his vision for creating world-class resorts with incredible attention to detail. One of the most underrated parts of Wynn is the art collection throughout the property. The artwork, sculptures, floral displays, and overall design make it feel more like a luxury gallery than a typical resort. Everywhere you look, there is something unique to appreciate. Between the beautiful rooms, outstanding restaurants, luxury shopping, impressive art collection, vibrant casino, and world-class entertainment, Wynn continues to be one of the best and most complete resort experiences in Las Vegas.

PROS: *stayed in a spacious 24th fl. pad with spectacular views of the (brief) fireworks display one night...and the bed was just fine for a post weed 'n booze sleep-off, thankya'verymuch! *many employees - especially those lowest in the caste system - were very friendly. Housekeepers were great. *other Wynn workers (e.g., food/booze servers) were usually good and reasonably personable. *Wing Lei (Chinese Michelin-1 joint) had top-tier service and although we could only sample a small number of dishes, they were all copacetic. *due to last-minute vacancies, the Wynn upgraded us from a $400/night room to a suite that ordinarily sets big-spenders back to the tune of $1,150/night. *Great friggin' ice machine - on my floor - never let me down when flask-time came around! CONS: *the Wynn, even at their extant "nosebleed" rack rates, will effin' nickel 'n dime ya' (*coins on steroids) every gol-durn chance they get: -NO refrigerator in the room unless you want to rent one for $25 a night. (Yep- let's make it hard for guests to bring their own, reasonably-priced booze. And leftovers from "market price" (i.e., "mark-it-up") menu pickin's at various and sundry Vegas kitchens? Meet Sal: Monella! *The pool situation is absurd and offensive: Not only can't you escape the aural pollution that pervades the whole property (more on that later)...but it's actually hard) to find an unoccupied (and unreserved) chaise lounge. -I got KICKED OFF one because it was "reserved"....NO SIGN...NO ONE "claiming it"... *Gotta pay EXTRA for even a G-D pool chair - Hell, $500. $1,000, $1,500 a night - AIN'T ENOUGH! *Booze prices are beyond absurd! Paid $15 or so for a "pour" of ordinary Tito's vodka. Needed an ELECTRON MICROSCOPE to see the likker! (But I only did it once, as my flasks of Toki and Pikesville and a Hamm's 12'er...took care of me.) *The bellhops move at a comatose pace, and when we arrived, we were informed that there'd be a "slight delay" of 45 minutes in bringing up our bags. After an HOUR had passed, we just took the G-D things ourselves. Yeah - now ain't THAT first-class service! *The concierge on duty was a dullard and a do-nothing doofus who couldn't do "jack" for us. Needs a job at the 'Boreyard by Mary Ott.' *NO smoking allowed at the OTB (Sportsbook area) Huh??? Effin' VEGAS and I can't even smoke a good cigar (or even a bad one) while play the races? S-H-I-I-T-E!!! **GOONS everywhere -had to use my key just to take the elevator to my floor, and had to withstand the glaring imprimatur of "security" people every time. (My favorite guy, who appears to have been either a "Blood" or a "Crip,"...received the moniker...'SMILEY!' -Although I wouldn't consider buying the wildly marked-up "luxury" goods peddled in the Wynn shops, I couldn't help but notice the scowling dorks in dark suits who stand outside the portals, arms folded. (No buddy - I ain't buyin' yer' lousy $50K watch; so shove it OK?) __________ Now, neighbor - are ya' ready for the veritable TOP-TWO reasons NOT to wander into the Wynn? 1) NONSTOP high-volume pop-schlock aural excrement THUMPING throughout the place. EVERYWHERE. Pay exorbitant room rates and then be subjected to lowest-common-denominator NOISE? WHO likes that garbage? ("effluencers?") -How about QUIET? -If that's not possible - how about actual MUSIC played at moderate levels? WHY must we endure moron-music and WHY were we not warned that it would be infesting the air? 2) EURO/MIDEAST TRASH guests swarming like maggots, pushing in front of you and invading your space without so much as an "EXCUSE ME!"... ...Mega-wealthy SCUM that shouldn't even be allowed in America - much less catered to by an ostensible "top class" hotel! The lobby where we checked in was super dark and moody. There was a lot of seating and nice decor. It was chilly in there which felt like a nice escape from the Vegas heat. It was relatively quick for us to get checked in and receive our keys. This dark and dramatic theme is carried throughout the hotel and to the guest room areas too. We were put in Rm 30-24, which we converted into an adjoining room with Suite 30-22. Our room felt small to me. The bed takes up the majority of the room with little walking space. There is a desk, flat screen TV, sofa, and small wardrobe. The closet is pretty spacious and has some robes, slippers, and a steamer. The sofa was very stiff and honestly looked a bit dingy. There were crumbs on the seat and the pillows were incredibly old and limp. I was hesitant to sit on it! The closet felt disproportionately large for the room. I would have preferred a smaller closet to have more space in the room itself. The rooms and hallways are all so dark. There is no overhead lighting, only tiny lamps throughout the room. I am personally not a fan of this as it made the room feel even smaller and claustrophobic. I understand they are trying to make it feel ambient and moody, but the way it was presented felt more like sleeping in a cave. Inside the closet was the brightest area of the hotel! If you choose to have a conjoined room, it is impractical to keep the doors open. When the adjoining doors are open, it is impossible to use the doors facing the hallway. Everything was cramped and the doors were constantly banging against each other. The bathroom was nice with a spacious shower. The water pressure was slightly better than average, but not super strong. They provided the usual amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower gel, cotton swabs + cotton pads, makeup remover wipes, and a shower cap. I must say, the shampoo and conditioner were spectacular. My hair felt super soft and had no frizz when it dried. It smelled very nice too. The rest of the hotel was just okay. There is not much to do besides lay at the pool and gamble. It is pretty quiet and laid-back. That being said, the casino was pretty small. I did like that it was non-smoking though so it was not suffocating to walk through it. I enjoyed the pool area. Despite it being a hot summer day, there was plenty of seating and lounge chairs available. The music the DJ was playing was really good and the pool was super chilly. This is definitely not my first choice for a Vegas hotel but I could stay here again.

However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again. Connie was at the reception and welcomed me warmly. Parking is free. That's right. FREE. For your entire duration of stay.
