Had afternoon tea here with my husband as we were staying at the hotel and it was fantastic! The bites were delicious and the service was great. The servers were friendly and informative. The ambience was perfect for tea as someone was playing the piano during our tea that crated a really nice vibe.

Amazing experience for anyone, especially families or/and friends. Loved all the sandwiches, (curry chicken best) and the tea was fantastic - I had the Dong Ding and Muskani - Himalayan, muscat-like finish.

I would plan my entire trip to London around stopping by Park Room ifJean Luca is making the Martinis! Valentina was an amazing hostess! She gave impecable customer service! She actually gave the best service of my entire trip to the U. K. We came in close to closing for dessert. Andre suggested the cheesecake over the carrot cake! The cheesecake did not disappoint!!! The cheesecake was rich and creamy, had a buttery moist crust, and was enough for the three of us to share. This isan absolutely gorgeous place to enjoy a light meal, dessert, or enjoy a cocktail! I will definitely come back if traveling to London!

We had the luck that our booking coincided with the first day of the Jubilee dessert specials. Second visit for me, but first time for our friends. The tea was great (although our super-friendly waiter did struggle with getting our tea pots at the right place and never poured mine) and the sandwiches and scones were awesome! Loved the shrimp, salmon and caviar open sandwich with especially! And the new desserts were amazing! Definitely a great place for to enjoy a typically British high tea.

Having flown from the states and being on an involuntary hunger strike, I give this place 3 stars. Very fancy and seems like they genuinely tried. The jams were sweet and the cream was divine but the sandwiches were just ok. I enjoy the bathroom decor and upkeep. I also liked the presentation of the tarts and other sweets. Overall good afternoon tea. Nice selection of tea. I liked the house tea! This is me ready to eat!

My very first afternoon tea experience in London was right here as we were staying in the hotel. While I'm not a fan of tea, I went along because my spouse wanted to, and champagne (my fave) was also included. Yay! ATMOSPHERE: The decor reminds me of a Ritz Carlton dining room - classy, soft colors, nice silverware and place settings. We had a nice window table that overlooked the sidewalk & city street and was great for people-watching. The room wasn't crowded at all so it was a very relaxing, quiet setting. AFTERNOON TEA: While I didn't partake in the tea, I loved the champagne that it came with! It only came with 2 glasses so we ordered more. A tiered plate setting of never-ending sandwiches, different pastries, and fruit cup for dessert completed the experience. Everything was fresh and neatly prepared. SERVICE: Our male server was very friendly and professional. OVERALL: Good food, nice setting, great service. Highly recommended.

Every finger sandwich, scone, and treat was delicious. The champagne was a nice touch.

Got the gravy on the side, didn't think I'd use all of it, before I knew it, it was all gone. And you wouldn't think that the type of mash or type of gravy or type of sausage would matter that much, but they really do all have distinct flavors! I will be mixing mustard into my mashed potatoes from now on. Originally came for the sticky toffee pudding, so of course we ended with that. Marvelous! The toffee sauce is so comforting and rich, the cake was so moist, and it was perfectly balanced with the ice cream. Didn't detect any dates, maybe they were too finely chopped. Also the apple and blackberry crumble just didn't hit the same; it was slightly dry and on the sour side (maybe don't take a bite directly after the pudding!) Service was so helpful and friendly; I'm sure they love watching people fall in love with their food. Quick with refills and offered extra condiments if needed. Great air conditioning as well (always a plus), and I loved the green blacksplash and blackboard caligraphy on the walls as well. Bangin'

The Steak and Blackheart Stout Pie was delicious. The steak was tender and the mash was smooth. Definitely get the Sticky Toffee Pudding. The pudding was sweet, soft, and warm, pairing perfectly with the silky pudding and cold vanilla ice cream.

My wife actually booked dinner reservations in advance for Ye Old Cheshire Cheese, it was one of a few we did that for rather than just popping in. For some of these, Cheshire included, it isn't a bad idea if you want a full meal to do so as it gives you a table in a dining area that is quieter than the More raucous areas of the pub and guarantees you plenty of elbow room to dine. Every pub has fish and chips, and we had our share of it during our 8+ day trek, but my wife swears by this place as having the absolute best. I'd likely agree with that--we both had the traditional fish, chips, peas platter and every bite was great. We had a few slices of sourdough to hold us over while waiting for those plates. My wife had a bit of wine, and I tried a lager, lower ABV ale, and a pour of scotch opting for their "house" scotch. The spirits/beer menu was the same I saw used at a couple of what I think must be "sister" pubs all using the same distilleries and brewers. We were too full to try dessert. Service was friendly. Not sure if it was the vintage of my scotch or her wine, but price-wise this was by far our priciest pub visit in the area and I can't quite point my fingers at why, but I don't regret our meal and time here. As for historic interest, you can find pictures and placards of many of the pubs famous patrons from history--Dickens, Mark Twain on visits to London, etc. A first edition of a Dickens' book adorned a post by our table.

A really great way to try their variety of meats. First, the portion was absolutely huge - I definitely appreciated how much vegetables there were, the roasted brussels and carrots were delicious. Sides were all good - including the roasted potatoes and yorkshire pudding. The star was the meat of course, my favorite ended up being the lamb which was super tender and flavorful. Loved the crispy pork rind that comes with the pork roast slices and the gravy and sauces on the side really rounded out the meal, added a ton of flavor and made it fun to try the different sauces with the variety of meats.
