Ilana is super sweet and my dog loves her. She was always available last minute- but that and a few other things led me to believe that my dog wasn't getting the full 45 minute walk I was paying for. She also didn't show up once or twice. We had communication issues also, as I recently adopted my dog and wanted updates on how the walks went but seldom got any update unless I badgered her. Maybe we had issues because we only used her every once in a while and didn't have a regular schedule. I really hate to leave a bad review because as a personal Ilana is wonderful and is truly great with dogs. read more

We have a big Wiemaraner who has severe separation anxiety, so daycare is a must when we are out of the house for any period of time. Ilana and Joe have been watching Harry for a few years now, and have been lifesavers--we can go out, then pick Harry up late evening and know that he is in good hands, snuggling up on the couch instead of being locked in a cage. I had never boarded my dog before and had all kinds of reservations. I contacted Ilana and she definitely put my mind at ease. When it came time to use her services, we met her and the pack that was currently staying with her. My puppy was greeted with wagging tails and Ilana's super calm voice. I left my puppy feeling comfortable and at ease. She posts videos and photos on the company Instagram, so I was able to check up when necessary. My puppy ended up making new friends and was well taken care of. Most places charge a minimum of $65-$75, which is less than what PSP charges. It's a steal with a smaller pack and a special individualized attention to your furchild. I highly recommend and will be reusing this company again! read more

We have used Ilana and Park Slope Pups for daily dog walks and in-home boarding for the last 3 years, and we wouldn't use anyone else. Our dog, Denver, really enjoys going on his daily walks with Alan, and Alan is always on time and nice enough to leave us notes as to the time and length of the walk, as well as a short description of how our Denver was. Ilana communicates very well, and we have never had issues setting anything up, whether we plan weeks ahead of time or only hours before. Whenever we have someone stay at our apartment with Denver, Ilana has come over with them ahead of time to get acquainted and reassure us, and we have never been disappointed with the service. Dumpling usually doesn't take to people but he loves Ilana and that makes it so much easier to leave him. They are responsible and loving and Dumpling has made many doggie friends in the almost 2 years we have used her. My dog, Little Dude, is more important than any human in the world, other than mom. I travel quite a bit though and in some months am gone constantly. After a long relationship with a fancy Brooklyn kennel, there came I time when I had to travel for work and there was a tornado warning and as a result, the kennel at the last minute said they could take no pets because they did not have insurance to cover this. I lost it. Finally found Park Slope Pups in a craigslist ad and nervously left Little Dude with them. Years later, I am still very regularly leaving Little Dude with his park slope pup friends. He gets excited when he sees them and comes home happy and sleepy from playing. Not needy. If he is neglected, he always lets me know and he is nothing but happy when he gets back from what I like to now call dude camp. He loves hanging out with other dogs since its usually just us and dog park visits. Over the years, Little Dude has needed medication and has very specific diet issues and I know that it all is taken care of when I am gone. I am not one for recommending anything really because I have maybe way too high of standards when it comes to most things. Extra high for pet care and I can say without a doubt I recommend Park Slope Pups. I have even moved from Brooklyn to the Upper East Side and they pickup and drop off. Amazing. read more

These guys are great! I left my 15 year old miniature schnauzer with Joe and Ilana and Winston has found a new home away from home, he loves it there. Hes a little old guy with a real laid back attitude, who still needs plenty of one-on-one attention cause of his age. Winston has made new friends with Park Slope Pups. They often have other friendly dogs and facilitate a pack mentality for the animals, I think its great that the dogs can have caretakers and friends at the same time. I adore the amazing Ilana and her team of incredible dog loving humans. Alan has walked our two mini dachshunds Oscar and Louise for over a year now and we are thrilled to have him at our service. (I think our pups are thrilled too!) Ilana does daycare here and there for our little sausages and they are absolutely in love with her! We board with her on occasion as well, and I know that when I am away and they are in her care there is nothing to worry about. She is kind, organized, professional and wonderful with my pups. We absolutely love Park Slope Pups! Ilana has been walking our very energetic Lab mix, Lola since the spring of 2014 and we are so glad to have such a caring and wonderful dog-walker! We use park slope pups for daily dog walking and dog boarding. My 1.5 year-old beagle loves Ilana and Alan. Alan always arrives on time to take Pluto out and leave daily notes. I LOVE Park Slope Pups! We got an 8-week-old puppy, Betty, 6 weeks ago. Prior to getting her, I did a LOT of research on dog-sitters, daycare options, etc, knowing that Betty could not fully go outside until she is vaccinated, at 16 weeks. I work long hours and needed a reliable and loving person(s) to help care for the pup during the day. Ilana reassured me that they could help us out when the pup finally arrived. She came over with her colleague the DAY we brought Betty home so we could all meet and come up with a plan. Since then Ilana and/or Alfonso come by THREE times a day to check on Betty, take her in the backyard, feed her, play with her. They sometimes bring other dogs with them, which Betty LOVES. She loves Ilana and Alfonso and I feel totally comfortable leaving her with them while we're at work. I felt really guilty leaving her home at first but she has so much love and care and attention during the day that I don't even really worry about it anymore. She has also gotten so much socialization under her tiny 12-week-old belt, from the human visits but also the sweet dogs they bring to play with her. I know she has a great foundation for entering the "real" world and it's in large part due to Ilana and Alfonso being so consistent with her. I totally trust Park Slope Pups and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Ilana is super-nice and our dog loves her. She walks our dog twice a week and our dog goes nuts every time she hears Ilana approaching outside. We've also boarded our dog with Ilana several times, always a good experience as our dog gets to play with other dogs. I'm surprised she wants to come home afterward; who wants to leave summer camp.
