There is only 1 parking spot per unit but a large off street lot in the back. Neighbors are polite and quiet. Manager is intent on keeping the community happy and engaged - hosting seasonal get togethers so we can meet each other.

In conversations with neighbors, they seem to hold the same sentiment as the above. I take it as a good sign.

MANY cars were broken and packages stolen despite security cameras, and again Cedars said they couldn't do much. They even tried charging us $1000+ after taking our entire deposit because we broke lease early due to all these tenants not following rules; they also don't follow laundry rules. The landlady Laurie will ignore you and is extremely rude, you will never get any help if you have maintenance problems. The only good thing is pets are allowed. The rent price seems okay at first but literally every year they raise the rent by at least $200!! There's not even an area to load groceries or you will get towed from your own apartment, and now people park in other people's place so even your assigned parking isn't "reserved" and you have to park on the street and risk getting broken into.

They also didn't do a proper home inspection last time so have to complain to the Housing Authority of Alameda County, along with harassment over my cars being damaged 3 times by their landscaping company Medallion they hire to do the landscaping. I asked very nicely to not do any landscaping work near the carports where my 2 cars are & I got told to move my cars to the street if I don't like it, like I have time every week to just take my 2 cars to the street. I was also told just move out of my house to somewhere else if I don't like it. HACA has been contacted & is going to look into it asap they said! Who says these types of things to residents! Lissette is much nicer & should be the mgr. Stacey can't do her job properly & picks & chooses who she's going to be nice to, like we're all kids on a playground or something! She wont even address you if you walk past if you complain about anything they disagree with! Beware of speeders in the driveways going 40 to even 50 mph sometimes. Have asked at least 5 or 6 times to have people slow down or start issuing formal warnings. All they do is "reminders not to speed". I've almost been hit 4 times! The mgmt even complained about kids playing on a small grassy area as it's about the only area for kids to play! Just stay away from this place for your peace of mind! We're moving soon anyway, thank god!!

You can tell they really try to keep a safe and comfortable complex. The trees are beautiful and it is always quiet around the complex. A great location, right off 580 and close to 880, also right around the corner from Trader Joe's and Safeway. Management responded to this review with a "." Took me 3 weeks to get a response from management and they said they tried calling but my voicemail was full which it wasn't, and didn't tell me what day/time they called me at. The price I was told over the phone was different than the contract. Takes a lot of effort to get any response from staff, they have never responded to a voicemail or email. Front desk & maintenance staff try their best but management is horrible, no response, hard to get a hold of and don't support their team well. The owner is Greystar who has 1 star on better business bureau reviews out of 550+ reviews. Lobby area has constant beeping noise issues. Trash in hallways. Management locked the trash chutes so you either have to leave trash out in a 2 hour window but if out for too long get fined, or you can take your garbage into the elevator down tot the garage and into the dirty large dumpsters that are heavy to open. Dirty carpets even though management said they'd do a deep cleaning and asked everyone to take in things outside their doors, but that was just to get people to try to cleanup their trash cans/bags. Random people can sneak into lobby and common areas easily given doors are propped open often. Moved in August 2025. Parking door for garage has been on and off working consistently, ($100/month parking). Management says its a vendor issue, takes time plus the stairwell pedestrian entrance door to garage does not fully close or lock, allowing homeless inside easily. Seen multiple homeless inside doing drugs / broken glass etc. They have security guards sometimes but not 24/7. At one point the doors and gates were locked for 2 weeks and was hard to access cars as keys they gave us no longer worked, went to front desk and they couldn't even access their own garage. No answer from calling office and maintenance emergency number wasn't connected/just hung up. Gym has had broken equipment and multiple work orders and calls to get a response. High mandatory utility costs ($250+ monthly) given its not fully rented out and some costs are shared among renters. My trash + valet bill alone was $140/month and water for common area charge was almost as much as personal water usage. There has been major leaks and flooding issues but no comms from management when the entire wall and ceiling was gutted, large water bill that month. No working gym or coworking space for weeks but no refund in rent because of it. There have been multiple fire alarms, one was at 2:30 am and had to stand outside and wait for fire department but never heard if it was a fire or just an accident, again no comms from management. Package room is a mess and lost many packages than anywhere else I've lived, ask to see it on a tour. I've cleaned it up before given there was just yogurt spilled everywhere and labeled the shelves to try to help organize it. Ask for more free rent credit if you do move here.
