I was hiking the WAPAC trail and decided to drive a little past the entrance of Miller State park to this lovely white cape. Walking in everything looked grat and you could see that care was given to the display and nick nacks for sale. The counter was easy to navugate and the people friendly. These were the big pluses. I order a latte and it was a bit of a disapoinment. Over extracted esppresso with a slighlty warmed milk poured in a paper cup for $6 and tip. As you probably know over-extraction causes a bitter espresso when water bonds too much with the coffee grounds. It had an imbalanced, harsh, and bitter taste. It may have just been this barista as I have seen both amazing and bitter in the reviews. Please work on your process and you can easily bump your place to 5 stars. read more

this is a wonderful little coffee shop. I love coming here! When you walk in, they have lots of little things to look at that are for sale. I have bought a few things here. Every employee is very helpful and very kind. The coffee here is amazing! they have so many different things to choose from! In the back, they have a wonderful little dining area where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and any bakery goods you bought. I love their scones! I definitely recommend coming here. It is clean and very nicely decorated. it is a great place to sit and visit with your family or friends. We go whenever we get a chance. My favorite iis the maple latte! Cutie pie spot in equally cute, Petersborough. I had a nice coffee. and bought some great goat's milk lavendar lotion. The scone and pastry recommended weren't great. There is a nice place to sit inside or outside. The vibe is casual and pleasant. I was new to the area so appreciated finding a coffee roaster. read more

What a great find! Phenomenal coffee and great customer service. This coffee shop is a champion of small, locally-made products displaying soaps, jams, and crafts. Very cool. I had their maple latte, since it's kind of their specialty, and it was so good. A lot of times sweeter-flavored lattes are too sweet or have a burned sugar taste, not here! The staff is masked and careful to maintain their distance, however, customers were comfortable and relaxed about their masks whether on or off - which I prefer people being free to choose to wear one or not. read more

Good little coffee shop. They were plugging their maple coffee but unfortunately too much sugar and I couldn't try it. When we asked about other coffees and if they used brews or syrups the young man serving us became very flustered and just gave us random facts about the local maple they use so we took the safe route and went with a plain iced coffee. Whatever coffee brand they use is quite strong and smooth - I enjoyed the taste. The store is filled with knickknacks and other items like pottery, purses and even children's games for sale. They also had a stack of free bibles which you don't see every day! I loved the purses they had but the price was a little too much. I enjoyed browsing as we waited for our coffee though. They also had bakery treats and whatever was cooking smelled absolutely delightful. Nice place to stop in along the way! read more

They have some really nice people working here. The setting of an old industrial style building rehabed is a great atmosphere for a coffee place. Not the best place to get off the road and get a coffee with the traffic and lack of parking. I am guessing that during the week they rely on the people in the building that work here to take their orders. Have tried coffee here a couple of times, and got coffee to go. There has to be a better way than giving everyone a mason jar of coffee. Seems like I would be going from a $9 order to a $11 order just for a jar i don't really need. Variety of cookies are good, coffee is decent. People are very nice. I will say it is very hard to get fast service while you are at an auction. read more

I'm not a coffee fan but any place that roasts their own beans IN-HOUSE and serves 'em to you fresh is going to be the best. I got a half espresso/half coffee and sweetened it with a tiny bit of maple syrup and it was really good. Not even any dairy - which I wasn't eating/drinking for the month. My hubby also enjoyed his coffee. Nothing bitter or acidic about it. I've had fresh-roasted bean coffee before and no doubt the freshness makes the difference. I imagine the oils in the beans start to go rancid after a bit, probably well before we buy most shelf-coffee. They also have many varieties of coffee beans, ground and whole, for sale in mason jars. They also have some local sodas and other yum-yums. I am a tea person, and I still think I'd drink this coffee over my morning chai at least half the time. read more

Wonderful old-style service and old-style flavor! Fantastic coffee and finger foods, with a beautiful and fantastic setting. However, the service is SLOW as molasses. It generally takes them 30 mins to make a simple mozzarella sandwich (mozz., tomato, bread, chips, pickle.) One time we waited a full Hour for a simple hot chocolate. I can't understand how it can possibly take them so long to fulfill orders!! That said, it's usually worth the wait, albeit annoying as anything. Go back time to time, and always enjoy the delicious flavors. Almost impossible to find their hours of operation (I spend 15 mins online every time.) My husband and I are locals and have been regular patrons at Parker and Sons for about 2 years. We love everything about it. In the summer, dining outside with the beautiful water fall to the winter months dining with a smooth latte by the warm stove. Simple but tasty menu. Homemade breads, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, fresh salads, wraps and yummy soups in the winter. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The owner, Mason and his barista add to the atmosphere of this industrial setting with their attire of suspenders and old newspaper boy caps. He is passionate and knowledgable about his mission to bring great coffees, food and service to our area. Saw some concerns about parking but there is additional parking in the upper parking lot and at the rear of the building and a rear entrance to this restored mill. Worth a try! read more

Great coffee. Very millenial coffee house hip. Nice view of the falls, plenty if windows provide abundant natural light, plus outdoor patio seating. If you are concerned about your food preparation being sanitary, best cast your view to the scenery outside. Watched ungloved hands go from cleaning tasks, to ear and head scratching, rubbing exposed neck right to prepping food, to handling dirty dishes and back to food prep. No hand washing. Stained and dirty aprons and towels wiped with unwashed hands then used to wipe washed dishes. All the while in the presence of what appeared to be a supervisor, possibly owner. 5 stars for coffee. 0 stars for hygene awareness and food preparation safety. read more

A hidden gem!! I was on my way to Peterborough, hoping to find a quiet and comfortable coffee shop where to sit and write, when I came across a sign that read "Parker House Coffee." I was a bit skeptical because Yelp didn't have anything about them, and my GPS didn't acknowledge their existence either. Well, that's because Mason, the kindest person and owner, has only been there for two months. He has been in the business of roasting his own coffee - and selling at 20 area outlets - for the last two years, but the coffee shop is new. The coffee is amazing, and roasted right there! Great selection, both to have there and to take home. Ask Mason for a suggestion and you will learn so much about coffee! The ice tea after the coffee was also very good quality - I love loose leaf ice tea! The baked goods are very fresh and have that artisan look and taste. I had the ginger cookie and the cinnamon scone. I am writing because I want them to do well and stick around, but it is easy to miss the shop. The building - an old mill - is gorgeous, but it is not immediately apparent that there are working business in there. (This includes the restaurant Lee & Mount Fuji, which I will have to try.) But, as Mason Parker told me, if the "Open" flag is there, they are open. Hours are 8 am to 6 pm from Wednesday to Saturday, but I hope that as he gets more help with the shop he will be able to stay open evenings too, and everyday! Parker house has one of the better cups of coffee in a good 20 mile radius around here. Definitely worth checking out. Love the building and the atmosphere of the large ceilings and open space as well. Parker House Coffee is fantastic and lives up to every other review out there. After a very cold winter hike up Mount Monadnock my friends drove 15 miles to check out Parker House and we were not disappointed! The shop seems to be a refurbished mill or factory, and there is a large sitting room with 4-person tables, a fireplace, and a beautiful view of a small waterfall behind the building. They even play classical music! My friends ordered hot chocolate and lattes; a friendly barista suggested I try the Midnight Oil pour-over, which was delicious. Their baked goods are also tasty. My brother, who is a coffee snob, even gave his seal approval. I live out of state but will DEFINITELY come back here if I ever have the opportunity! read more

This is exactly what the Monadnock area needed! Super fresh coffee, knowledgeable and passionate owner/batista and homemade baked goods make this place stand out in my mind. Additionally, the atmosphere and setting is unusual and totally endearing! Large tables, a fireplace, a baby grand and a gorgeous view totally add to the experience. Service isn't any slower that any other coffee place making custom drinks. The only drawback is the parking - but this isn't Dunkin Donuts - park, go in, bring a book and cozy up by the fireplace. read more
