Nice hotel. I've…read morebeen here 4-5 times, the most recent last week. The hotel is centrally located on Cape Cod. Close to many restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. The prices are fair. There is a nice indoor pool and hot tub area. The free breakfast is mediocre. They supply free coffee all day long and free cookies served each night, which is a nice touch.

We have stayed at this location before and enjoyed it. This was supposed to be a 10 day stay, and…read morelet me start by saying, by day 3, we had checked out of this hotel. We checked in and went to our assigned room. We quickly discovered the room to be quite filthy. There was long black hair everywhere. On the countertops, in the bathtub, on the tile floor where the kitchen sick was, and even large clumps under the vanity sink. I immediately went to the front desk and spoke to the GM "Elissa." She was very apologetic and sent a housekeeper down shortly after. The housekeeper visited our room to "re-clean" it, and once she left, there was still hair all over the place. I didn't want to complain to the front desk for a second time, so I did the best I could by washing some of those surfaces myself with the hotel bath towels. Unfortunately, it didnt end there. We went to the the breakfast buffet all three days between 8 and 8:30. It was atrocious. It was very overcrowded and items were not replenished once empty. There was only one working waffle maker that left many people waiting 8-10 people deep in line. Juice machine was "out of order" with no alternative offered other than coffee and tea. Oatmeal was empty. Milk was empty. Cereal container was empty. It was just downright awful. Ive never had this type of experience at any hotel breakfast. There were two restrooms across from the dining area that were BOTH "out of order" the entirety of our stay. So basically the only available restroom was the one in our room. Housekeeping services are supposed to be started on day two of guests stays. Our mounted shower gel was empty. I went to the front desk at 10am asking for a replacement. I waited around all day. Nobody came. I texted the front desk around 3PM asking if we had been forgotten about and was told someone would be down in 5 minutes. Another hour and a half went by, and it was finally delivered to our door at 5PM.... Housekeeper never entered the room. Thats all that was done. Our trashes remained overflowing. Our shampoo and conditioner were empty shorly after. No fresh towels were delivered. It was just bad. The worst part, which forced us to leave early was the discomfort in the beds. I can't even begin to explain how uncomfortable the beds in our room were. The pull out sleeper was like sleeping on straight mattress springs. It left my daughter with severe neck and shoulder pain. The king size bed was just as bad. My husband and I couldn't sleep at all because the bed was so uncomfortable. We tossed and turned all night long and woke up with neck, back, and hip pain. On day two of our stay, I also noticed tiny black ants on the wall next to our bed, and two of them IN our bed. We couldn't take it anymore, so we checked out of the hotel after just 3 short, painfully agonizing days. We spoke to the GM again and explained why we had to leave. She was apologetic but did not offer to compensate any part of our stay. It was by far the most disappointing vacations ever. We had looked forward to this vacation for months to be seriously disappointed. Would not recommend this hotel. Look elsewhere.

Peak summer booking that cost $500 a night for partial view of the beach. Beautiful place. Very well kept, lots of student workers. Very helpful staff. They charged my card twice for the same amount. But then were able to help there after. The place is beautiful and clean. Indoor, outdoor pool, outdoor bar is great. Only if I can stay there forever. The food from the restaurants were awesome too. Definitely will go. Back.

God awful excuse for a "resort" and "hotel"! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Sand in the room that was never cleaned out despite us never going to the beach. Room turnover needed to be requested several times and all they did was change out the towels. We needed to place a "special request" to have the sheets turned over ONE TIME! One of the pillow cases had blood stains on it and we had no idea where it came from (not us...disgusting!). Food options at the "restaurant" were minimal and the quality was poor! Walls are paper thin can hear everything our neighbors do both on our floor and upstairs/downstairs. Overall, cannot believe how much they charge for this place compared to how little they provide. Their only selling point is location. Would give ZERO stars if I could!

Ocean Mist in South Yarmouth should be ashamed of itself. This place is charging luxury resort…read moreprices while delivering a run down, dirty, outdated motel level experience. There is nothing luxury about it. They claim the rooms are redone, but that is laughable. The loft room was large, but that was the only thing it had going for it. The rug was frayed near the sliders, the walls were scratched up, the kitchenette was tiny and pathetic, and the bathroom looked neglected. The tub had exposed holes where the safety pole was missing, which is completely unacceptable. The ceiling fan looked like it was ready to fall off the ceiling. The common areas were disgusting. Dirty stairwells, dirty hallways, steep stairs going up to the second floor rooms, and an overall grimy, worn out feeling everywhere. For the money they are gouging out of customers, this property should be spotless and updated. Instead, it feels tired, neglected, and badly managed. The staff was no better. At a 4:30 PM check in, they told me my room was not ready. Then a manager had to come over and correct the mistake. So not only is the place overpriced and rundown, but the staff does not even seem to know what is going on. The location is the only decent thing about Ocean Mist, and even that does not come close to saving it. The beach is small and unimpressive, and the outdoor pool is basically the size of a kiddie pool. Calling this a resort is a stretch. Calling it luxury is flat out insulting. For what they charged for a loft room, I could have rented an entire house and had a far better experience. Ocean Mist is an overpriced joke. They are charging outrageous money for a dated, dirty, poorly maintained property that does not come close to matching the price tag. Never again.

The hotel check-in is at 4 pm but we arrived around 12 and we were told we could use the pool and beach as much as we wanted which was wonderful we spent 3 hours at the pool and private beach until our room was ready ! Staff was friendly and informative and grounds were well kept!! Even saw bunnies and a fox on the property! Only complaint was the room we booked was a bit small for the four of us but there are much larger ocean front rooms with patios for a bit more money next time I'd book ahead and get an ocean front room overall very nice property
