My AMSEC safe had not been serviced for a number of years and the locking mechanism was freezing up. I spoke with Owen on the phone and he gave me some suggestions to try before booking a service call. That did not work so we booked a Service visit. After Parker Security lost Manny, their on-site service for HOAs unfortunately subsequently diminished greatly. I'm disappointed with their unprofessionalism lately. We had recently asked our manager to request a partial invoice charge waive for an overbilling and he informed us that he felt uncomfortable with the woman who owns this business's response -- she wrote him a lengthy defensive email, but luckily waived the charge at the time. After that, they did poor and incomplete work for a call (we always call Bay Alarm first to check the issue since that is no extra cost to us and they let us know the issue should be resolved by the locksmith service), and tried to point the blame back at Bay Alarm. When they needed to come back to finish the work, the woman was unprofessional and defensive again and refused to waive the first invoice at all. This includes a $75 trip charge despite being less than 10 min drive to our community ($260 total invoice for that completely useless invoice where they admitted to only spending a brief unthorough time on and couldn't figure out the problem source). We know another locksmith that offers a free inspection (including no trip charge), so since we don't want to have to deal with any excessive double billings in the future, we will switch to them for on-site services. read more

The company I work for gets all their van locks from Parker Security, so I figured I would come here to finally get my spare key and a working remote. Avie helped track down and special order my remote and then moved onto my key. Of course, my key had the point shaved down (somehow?) and he had to work some serious magic to make me a spare! After a while, Avie was able to get me a brand new key that worked like a charm! My special ordered remote came in and within two days I had a fully working remote (yay!) This is a walk in shop with very knowledgeable locksmiths. I had a mail box key jammed in the mailbox lock. I was able to remove the lock with the stuck key and take it to them. In 1 minute they were able to see that the lock need lubrication and nothing needed fixing, so they did not charge me any thing. These guys were a huge help on getting my key programmed. I only had a valet key when I bought my Scion FRS and was delaying on getting the key programmed because the dealerships charged a fortune for one key fob to program. Just got keys done from Parker security 3 minutes ago. (Update: this was a long time ago that I drafted this email just never got the chance to post it) I first called centerville locksmiths yesterday because Parker was closed. Centerville seemed like jerks so this morning I called Parker and everyone was friendly. Ed, Harry, and the lady (sorry I forgot your name!) were all very nice. They gave me a great deal and were right around the block so I asked them to do the job. They came by 15 minutes later and the mailman was there just by luck so they didn't have to open up the community box on their own (good thing it wasn't my normal mailman who is a prick and was extremely rude when I told him my situation last week. I didn't even ask to grab mail from him. Anyways that's a whole other story). But that basically saved me even more money which was great. I have a 2009 Camry Hybrid that I got almost two years ago. I got it with only one push button key fob, the kind that is supposed to work while in your pocket. It didn't. It is also, if the battery is charged, not supposed to be able to get accidentally locked in the car. It is charged; and I've locked my only key in the car a BUNCH!! At a dealership, it would cost anywhere from $350 to 750 dollars, depending on how much programming was involved, and how many duplicates might have been made by prior owners. I dunno. It just would. I tried a local hardware store, that sells and programs the fobs, but they could not get it to work (maybe because too many dupes had been made in the past. Which brings me to Parker Security and Avie. An actual locksmith. With an an actual location. Not just a van. And he made me physical keys to unlock the car for a fraction of the price of a dealer. And for $50 replaced the shell to my old fob. And it works like a brand new factory key, instead of $250-700!! I'm thrilled. read more
