I pick up my boat as I'm told it's ready for the water and everything works as it should. I got the boat home, and would you believe the motor would not start. took back to Rugged marine. I went through this pick up and drop off 3 more times before the motor ever started for me. when it did the fuel water separator filled with water. had to clean tank again. finally got motor to start in my drivewa. gonna go to lake. put the boat in the water and wanted try my new trolling motor. would you believe the batteries were installed backward on the remote control. navigation light on front of boat they charged me $65.00 to replace the light. yet I had to order a new one from Amazon and install myself. the old light had been disconnected but never all the way removed. Rugged marine never did get my boat running right. 5 times in their shop and I had to pay another shop to get the boat running. I took in my hard drive and explained my issue to David and how disappointed that the place I took it to originally, weren't able to recover my data. He said it would take 3-5 business days. Feeling that there was a chance in fixing my computer, I asked if I could pay now (which was $150) and left. David calls shortly after to ask questions regarding the hard drive. I'm put on hold so he could talk to the tech guy (whom I never saw, but assumed he was in back). David then told me it couldn't be fixed based on their diagnosis. I come back thinking I'd be refunded, since I paid to what I thought was towards the repair. When confronted, David apologized and shrugged it off, admitting he forgot to mention it. I would've asked to speak to someone else, but a customer was there and I don't like causing scenes. Not only did I pay $150 for a quote advertised as free, they took all of 20 minutes to diagnose something I already knew that it wasn't likely to be fixed. I said I dropped the phone over two years ago but they said it does take time for the damage to get worse over time. I suppose that's what happened in this case.
