Started with chips & salsa, Hefeweizen for me and beat the pulp ipa for my wife. Great start. I got 12 oz ribeye with mushrooms & onions. Wife got the grilled salmon. The steak was perfectly cooked. For the first time in as long as I can remember my wife finished eating before I did. So she ordered a cup of French onion soup. I should've listened to the reviews because this place is mediocre at very best. My first impression was that it looked nice but the chairs are all way past needing replacement. Service was actually good at least. Food is under seasoned but passable, if you're desperate. Every beer we had was "meh". Not sure how this place is around but they need a huge overhaul. The strange thing is that there was some sort of party happening in the back and it looked really nice. I guess the regular folks get shitty chairs and bad food. Oh well. read more

Updated review, two years later : As always great from scratch food. We just love the decor with portraits of Michigan artists in the music industry. We come here on date night and for large family functions. They offer something for everyone. Kids included! The ribs are sooo good. The fish and chips breaded or broiled, fries or green beans is just delicious! Pierogi, Burgers, sandwiches, pasta..... all spot on! Chips and cheese has much improved queso and salsa. Good job on this improved version. Service has become a little hit and miss at times,however,may be due to newer wait staff? We love this place for the broiled cod! The tarter and slaw are spot on!!! They hand batter the cod if you order it fried. So good! Ribs are amazing. Not smoked-not boiled so texture and flavor is delish. The ribeye, well it's just ok. Too thin to get a med-rare and is just choice steak so it eats rather tough for a ribeye. Green beans are always fresh. Steak tips are a must. Chips and cheese with salsa is okay. Cheese sauce is nothing to talk about. Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken was pretty good. Pizza pierogies are yummy !Mac & cheese is pretty good. Everything here is homemade. Everybody can find something on this menu. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is so cool. Michigan rock artists are hand painted and displayed pool tables and shuffle board too! The waitress was very good and knowledgeable. Ira's Berry busy in a Friday night which made the place very noisy, but were could still hear each other at the table Ava had a good night out with friends. The Did was all really good. The calzone was baked perfectly and the crust tasted very good. The burgers were tasty and all plates were empty after the meal. Have always had a good experience here. Nice servers, fast service, good drinks. It has a nicer casual feel to the place. Was great for my brother's rehearsal dinner and since then I always recommend people try their beef stroganoff when I tell people to eat here. A dimly lit restaurant--great choice for date nights or when you're craving a delicious dinner. The service was slower but they were very busy so no reason to complain. Although I'm only going with 3 stars, I will definitely go back if I'm in the area because I really liked the atmosphere and the wide selection of craft brews to choose from. So why only the 3 stars this time around? The "blackened" chicken Alfredo was just okay. It was had tiny cubes of chicken with absolutely zero spice and was very creamy/heavy. It looked good and sounded good but just fell a bit flat. The other reason for the 3 stars was because they only had one bartender working behind a giant bar (that can seat about 30). He was responsible for serving the bar, pouring the tables, doing the dishes, and bussing my dirties. I will say, he busted his butt and rocked it. It is no fault of his nor did I have bad service. I just think that's a bit ridiculous and a lot to ask of a single employee. (If you've ever worked in the service industry, you'd probably agree.) The beers were pretty good; I only had a flight of four but didn't hate any of them. Like I said, I'd go back and try something else to eat. read more

First of all, the service was great! young lady did a great job. My issue was the food. I ordered the pulled pork nachos. What sold it for me was the pulled pork and the crema. Unfortunately my dish must have been completed before the rest of the table because the pulled pork was hard and dry and the crema was hardened on the chips both of which would suggest it sat under a heat lamp for far too long. It's unfortunate no one in the kitchen did their job to identify this prior to serving it. read more

We loved Parker's!! Stopped at Parker's Hilltop Brewery in Clarkston on the way up north. They had sliders and their specials menu. They were very flavorful. My husband got the Stromboli. It was beautiful! Tasted just as great! I got a Tagabrew tag for my collection and they also do the Hop Passport thing so we saved a little there. The ambience of this place is awesome. We went for lunch and ate on the patio. They have a nice patio with a couple levels and a fire pit. The patio is close to the four lane road so we did have road noise. The indoors has multiple rooms that include pool tables, shuffle board, and other games. When we have driven by at night, it is very busy. I can see that there is a nice vibe indoors as well as out. I ordered the burger and tater tots. The burger was cooked exactly how I had ordered it and the tater tots were perfectly crisp and tasty. My friend ordered the beef stroganoff and said it was fine but not awesome. Sorry that I am unable to rate the brews at this brewery. I am not a beer drinker. If you like breweries that have good food, I recommend you give Parker's Hilltop Brewery a try. read more

They have great menu selection, they always have specials . I like how they keep the good stuff on the menu and always improve other things. It's family friendly, it's very welcoming. Service is top Notch, all the waitstaff is friendly. Tonight we had a absolutely outstanding service provided by Dylan , she knows the Menu , both sides and top to bottom. We asked for suggestions and she gave like 3 top things for suggestions, it helped us to make a decision. She was personable, very attentive, fun and went above and beyond. I was very disappointed with my visit to Parker's Hilltop Brewery. My husband and I arrived on a Saturday evening for some dinner and drinks. I ordered a salad and a green chili chowder, and my husband ordered a cheesesteak with fries and beer cheese for dinner. The food took awhile to get to us, but we were ok with that if the food was worth the wait. Unfortunately it wasn't. My chowder was the only good thing at dinner. My salad had to be picked through because it had soggy leaves that were discolored from going bad. My husband's $18 cheesesteak came out with fries and no beer cheese. Someone came over (not our waitress) to ask if we needed anything, so my husband told her about the beer cheese, and she said she would be out to get it. Our table didn't have ketchup on it, so I went to the bar to ask the gentleman sitting at the bar if it was ok to take the ketchup. Our waitress didn't come back to check on us until the end of the meal. Poor customer service and, frankly, poor business because my husband was going to get a second beer. My husband isn't one to complain, but he was so disappointed he told the waitress about his complaints (the beer cheese and ketchup) while I told her about my salad. She quickly put the blame on the person in the kitchen for not bringing out the correct order. I feel like she was to blame, because, had she come out to check on us before 3/4 of our meal was over, we could have remedied the situation. To be honest, my husband could have complained more...$18 for a cheesesteak that was really nothing special - frozen meat with onions on top. Not impressive for a place that has a limited menu. The waitress came back later to bring us our bill and removed the beer cheese and salad from our bill. She asked us if the manager had come over, but he/she had not. Met up a friend for dinner and tried the fish tacos. I decided to add a 3rd but ended up taking one home. The fish was surprisingly a good size but I wish the chipotle crema was better. It seems like sour cream mixed with chili powder and on a bit on bland side. Also had the beerios brown ale which was pretty good. The server seemed to be in a rush and didn't even ask if we wanted anything before dropping the checks off. We recently visited Hilltop as we had our 2 black lab puppies with us after taking them to dog park. We sat on the very nice sized patio with our pups. We had a beauty red umbrella to shade us. The pups were greeted warmly by staff and they have a water bowl they refreshed often . We arrived during happy hour 4-6 And orders from the happy hour menu- had the thin crust pizza and the sliders! First time there. Didn't know it was even there. We went in and was surprised how big it was. Not a huge menu but pretty sure something for everyone I had pizza and it was good but could have been cooked just a tad bit longer. My husband had the French dip. Homemade bread for the French dip and homemade dough for my pizza. They have a good drink menu too. The prices are decent as well. Our waiter was awesome. I'm only giving it 4 stars because my pizza crust needed a little more flavor and to be cooked a little bit more. We will go back! read more

I've been here on several occasions and this place is a gem! We have nothing else like this is northern Oakland County so it is definitely worth a stop in if you've never been in. Hilltop has a great menu with a nice variety of options. If you need to avoid gluten like me, the menu is clearly marked with what is safe and the servers are great with communicating with the kitchen. The bar is HUGE and they have a great selection of beers and make some unique cocktails.
