After hiking the Beaver Brook loop (7 miles) we were ready to eat! Rolling through Evergreen we happened upon the Parkside Cafe. Lots of outdoor seating with a great mural painted on the side of the building. We were excited to see that breakfast was still available. I had the Huevos Rancheros which was excellent. My wife had the Parkside breakfast. Nice home fries cooked just right and delivered quickly. Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. read more

Quaint little spot, but the food packs a solid punch. Had the green chili omelette. Loved the peppery kick on it. Nice job of making it with black beans - the superior bean. I ordered a ham and Swiss omelette with a side of sausage patty to go. I asked for no potatoes due to allergies. When I picked up the food I signed for the charge and then got to my car to check out my food. They ended up putting the sausage in the omelette. We've visited the Parkside Cafe twice. The eggs were overcooked with a paper-thin slice of sausage and some potatoes for $16. A salad with rubbery overcooked chicken $18. With soft drinks and tip, it cost us well over $50 and we weren't even full. The host was rude. The kitchen door was propped open to the parking lot, which is a health code violation without a screen door. We won't be visiting again. read more

The absolute worse place to eat in Evergreen. I ordered the steak sandwich. It took 30 minutes to get my food and the steak was raw. I asked to speak to the manger about it and the owner (I think his name was Craig) came over. I explained what the problem was and replied with how can I make it better? Seriously? Your place just served me a raw sandwich and your asking me how to make it better?!? The owner was short and did not want hear what I had to say or request. The place is in total chaos and the owner is to busy being hostess and not managing his diner. In short save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The place was busy and we had a little bit of a longer-than-usual wait for our food, but it wasn't unreasonable. I had the Parkside Breakfast and my girlfriend had the Croissant and Gravy. Generic Menu. Stopped for lunch at this relatively new cafe. I was hoping for different but got exactly what is on every cafe menu in this country. Salads Wraps burritos and sandwiches. Nothing with a flare, not even an interesting ingredient or topping. Everything a short order cook could prepare. No sign of a chef or even creative owner. Had a turkey sandwich for $17. Had a wonderful outdoor dining experience at Parkside within Covid newest guidelines. It was my wife's birthday and the staff made it great with a birthday sing along. Arriving with lots of coats and a thick blanket made it no worse then watching a football game. Importantly, dinner was very impressive for what is suppose to be a bunch breakfast place adapting.
