Excellent time, we went here for a birthday and were treated well. I got the prime rib with a side of fries which were amazing.

Be aware this is a very small place with tables very close together. People need to get up from seats just to let others by. Server cleaned our table then ignored us to serve others. We left without being served. On the plus side, free water! read more

The Parkside Grille was recommended, and my friends and I love to try new places. We arrived around 5:30 and it was busy! The parking lot was full, but there was a spot on the backside of the restaurant. I parked there as there was no indication anywhere you could not. There was someone parked next to my car, so it was a legitimate spot. We walked in, and it was crowded! Only one table left, we took it. No one greeted us, we just snatched it, then asked at the bar if it was OK. They indicated yes. A friend in my group stepped outside to see if there was seating there. Two separate parties outside thought she worked there and asked her for menus and to be seated! The bartender/server was busting her butt and we had to ask the one busser that was working if we could order drinks and get menus. The bartender/server came over and took care of us. She was very nice, also apologetic, and clearly overloaded with duties, made even more obvious when two random patrons jumped on my friend for help! There was another woman you would see behind the bar, but I did not witness her really jumping in to help. Stay tuned for more on her, as she is the reason for the review! I ordered the Salmon Melt with Sweet Potato Fries, delicious! I think everyone in our party enjoyed their food. We asked to get our bill, paid, and left the restaurant. Walked out to my car, and a teal Jeep Rubicon had parked DIRECTLY behind me, completely blocking us in. There was a door to the kitchen right there, my friend stuck her head in and inquired about the car. The gentleman she spoke to said, "I know exactly whose car that is. " He left to get her and a blonde woman came out and said, "You took my spot!" My friends and I said something about, why would you do that? And no where does it say reserved. I asked her point blank, "Are you the owner?" She said, "Absolutely not." Well, needless to say, at that point we left the restaurant upset and realizing that no matter how the food was, how nice the server was ( because we couldn't fix her being overworked) and lastly, how great the entertainment was ( wish I said more on that, he was great, but not the point of the review) We will never go back. I went there today for an early dinner and the food was Excellent as usual. The tuscan chicken sandwich was really delicious and the homemade coleslaw also. Other dinners had a variety of specials and they all looked scrumptious. The servers and owners are great and make you feel at home. Rocky and Ted are always entertaining and there were a number of musicians in attendance which speaks well for the the appeal of great food and music. read more

Burger and Prime rib sandwich were excellant. We seen another customer at the bar with the special, pepperoni/ saugage pizza, my husband instantly knew what he was going to order. Funny thing happened, I was in ear shot to hear the kitchen call out 'no more pizza', the cook then crushed up an order form. Our waitress uncrushed the form and reordered. The pizza my husband recieved looked nothing like the pizza at the bar. It was smaller and looked like a frozen pizza. Very disappointed. We did bring the pizza issue up to our waitress to no avail. Service: this was our second visit, our waitress did not order our appetizer, and forget to bring my husband a beer. (Our first experience was assume). Came again for the Friday evening live music and dinner. They have updated their beer selection, really liked the Sam Adam's Oktoberfest and blue moon on draft. The meatballs were awesome as before. My wife thought they were a bit dry but I liked them with the spicy home made marinara. The crab stuffed mushrooms were very good. A bit too rich and creamy for me but my wife loved them. The soft shelled crab risotto and shrimp scampi dish was hit and miss. The shrimp was really good, although I could have done without it being butterflied and left in the shell. The crab was just ok. Maybe cooked a tad longer. The risotto was basically all butter and a bit undercooked. Needed some more seasoning too. read more

It's a very intimate bar and grille. It's small. But the atmosphere, service, and food are excellent. I did not personally care for the live band experience only because the space is far too small for it. It's loud. Too loud, and I'm hard of hearing so that's saying something. The food though is on point! Our group ordered burgers, appetizers and salads. All were amazing. Despite the loud live music, which is not always occurring, I would return again and again. Great place if you love lived music. Went there last night, the musician was great! Really was connected and engaging with the crowd. Atmosphere- Smooth and chill Staff- Great spirits Food- Had the ribeye steak(20oz It was HUGE), with a 2x cooked potato ( which was a potato filled with potatoes, broccoli, cheese)which was the special for the day. The potatoe was good and well seasoned, the steak sauce was also savory as it coated the steak, but the steak was a little tougher than usual when I ask for Well done steaks. This place is awesome. So much I don't want to tell you about it. I wanna keep it my secret. The food is excellent. They work hard, they are kind and funny. Great music starting on Wednesdays. Kitchen is efficient. Now you should know it is small place with maybe 12 seats at the bar and 10 tables but there is also has a nice patio with a covered roof. This is not your typical hometown bar and grill, this one actually has great food, service and ambiance. Worth the wait if you get there when it's busy. read more

While my older sister and two nephews were in town from Reno, we decided to meet up with extended family for lunch out near where they live. We saw there was a lovely park with a playground right next to Parkside Grille and decided this would be a perfect spot for lunch! I was the first to arrive out of our party, and immediately upon walking through the doors the staff welcomed me and sat me down. Everyone there was so friendly and accommodating. Fun fact I noticed while waiting at the table: Their tables are made by local St. Louis artisan Mwanzi. Check him out if you have time! I was able to order a few appetizers for the table while waiting for others to arrive. They had these amazing fried coconut shrimp as a special appetizer for the day! They were so light, crispy and had a lovely flavor burst of coconut. I also ordered the hummus plate, meatballs, and a couple flatbreads per the request of family texts. The hummus was also fantastic, especially their pita bread! It was fried on the outside so it had an amazing light, crispy texture but was warm and soft on the inside. I've never had pita served like that before, but it was incredible! My nephew and father really enjoyed the meatballs, and everyone was a fan of the flavor-packed flatbreads. For lunch, I decided to order another special of the day: the salmon tacos! These tacos were seasoned perfectly, the salmon was seared on the outside but was tender on the inside, and the mango topping gave it that perfect tinge of sweetness paired with the creamy avocado and savory salmon. Overall, I would definitely come back again! My aunt, local to the Chesterfield area, did mention it can get really busy and quite loud in the evenings and during happy hour, so I'd recommend visiting during their weekday lunch hours for the best service and experience. Good first. The main reason I gave a 4 was the taste of the food. It was really, really good! I had salmon tacos. The sauce and salsa were both great and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The taco shell fell apart. I do believe it was gluten free so that may have something to do with it. I didn't care because they tasted amazing. I was unaware, but it came with a small salad and that was great as well. My boyfriend had a burger and fries which he said were both great. The fries are shoestring and had a good flavor. I took a star off because of the online ordering experience. I found a menu online and the price for the classic burger was $10 while the salmon tacos were $15. The menu was really short. I then clicked the button to order online. Suddenly the menu was way larger and the prices were significantly higher. The burger was now $14 and the tacos were $19. I called the restaurant since it was my first time ordering and don't live in the area. They said the online ordering was a delivery service used in that area. Hmm, okay, explains some of the mark up. But, that was a large markup and it was even on pickup. I then asked if I could just order on the phone and they said yes. The burger was now $12 and the tacos were $17. She said something about those prices including tax. She asked if I could pay over the phone but never gave me a total. I was super hungry and just paid. My fault. My boyfriend went to pick up and they didn't give him a total either. Not expected maybe since it was prepaid. But then they didn't give him a receipt either. I didn't remember to tell him to ask for it, and really they should have just provided one. I see I was charged $38. I'm guessing that included a tip. Anyway, I wish they were more transparent and put out an accurate menu. Next time I might just go in and order in person. The food was super delicious so I probably will go back! read more

What a nice little gem to find! My wife and I are always on the look out for new places near places we run errands. When we saw this on Yelp! we decided to give it a try. It is on an end cap of sorts in a strip mall that the main client seems to be a daycare. Even though it was dinner time there were only 3 other tables occupied. More did show while we were there but it was never 'packed'. Christa was our hostess and waitress. We picked a seat and were promptly given water and menus. They serve a variety of beers and some wine too. I had a Blue Moon while my wife just had water (one of has to drive!) I asked for a recommendation and Christa suggested the lobster sandwich. My wife got the the fish tacos. It wasn't long before our food came out. What was nice in the meantime is the TV's had the baseball game on and it wasn't loud in the place so you didn't have to yell to talk. My lobster burger (with bacon) and sweet potato fries were everything that Christa said it would be. I could see how it could be someones favorite. The fish tacos looked a bit odd. The fish looked like fish sticks or fried fish nuggets. The various veggies and fruit they put on top was left in HUGE chunks. It would have been better had they been lightly blended and then put on like a dressing. As it looked it seemed like nuggets covered in chunks. Doesn't sound very appetizing but if presentation was graded this would not pass. Service was good and my beer and wifes water never went dry. The traffic in the place picked up but still wasn't too bad or too loud. I could see us going back but I suspect my wife will try something else. read more

Have been before and loved the food and service but last night was a big disappointment. Had three in our group and they seemed irritated that we asked to add a chair to a table outside. Sat for 25 minutes before we even got a drink. After an hour without any follow up and not a single person asking if we were ready to order we left. Due to covid-19 we did curbside pick up. They took our payment over the phone so we just had to pull up get the bag and go. I got the burger with fries. It's the first thing I try any where I go. If you can make a perfect burger I trust you ;) it was perfectly made medium well. Great bun. The same size as the burger. Not at all greasy even with cheese on it. Near perfection. Really good fries too. Grab brownie and ice cream. The ice cream wasn't my favorite but the brownie was large with a chocolate icing. So glad it was take out Tuesday! My husband and I arrived during happy hour because their website shows happy hour specials on a selection of beer, wine, and well drinks as well as "daily appetizer specials". Once seated, I didn't see anything about happy hour in the menu or posted around the restaurant, so I asked. Our server confirmed the drink specials, but said there is no appetizer special. I decided to try their wings appetizer and we both got burgers. I chose the pub burger and he chose the classic. I probably wouldn't order their wings again. The sauce was good, but the skin wasn't crispy enough for my liking. The burgers arrived quickly after the wings arrived and both looked really good. I didn't get a picture of my husband's because he was already digging into it by the time I got the wing sauce off of my fingers. The pub burger was a good, solid burger. It was cooked well and it held together nicely while I was eating it. I'd probably opt for the classic burger next time, though, because I really couldn't taste any of the toppings on my burger....the pub cheese, while good, just overpowered everything else. Both burgers were served with a mountain of homemade chips. I finally had the server take my plate so I would stop eating them. We'll definitely be back for another happy hour. Just had dinner there tonight with my family and it was great. Arrived around 5:30 and got the last table inside. They were packed by 6:15. Clearly a hidden neighborhood gem. The food was delicious, I had the Prime Rib Dip which was amazing, my mom had the Signature Salad which could feed 3 people, and my dad had the Walleye, everyone loved it. The wait staff was slammed but very attentive and accommodating (I had a hungry 5 year old with me, she took her order right away while the adults were still deciding). Can't wait to go back on a date night with my husband to stay and enjoy the music (which was starting to set up as we left). I ordered the pub burger with fries. The fries are shoestring and remind me of Steak N Shake. The burger was pretty small and had a charred exterior. I ordered it medium, but it was mor toward well-done. The pub cheese on it was good. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich, which she really enjoyed and she was especially fond of the sweet potato waffle fries, which were sweet and tasted like they may have some cinnamon on them. We frequent Parkside Grill - great location and menu options! Having Celiac Disease, this is one of our "safe" dining out options and the staff always makes sure to cover me. The ribs and sides special last night was probably the best meal we have ever eaten here. From fall off the bone ribs to great sauce to green beans loaded with roasted peppers, sauteed onions and bacon and a sweet potato casserole.
