    Half Sandwich & Salad

Back today for a warm meal on such a cold day. First of all, Saint Charles has done an amazing job of cleaning Main Street and the sidewalks. Entryway to the restaurant was completely clear. Inside warm and cozy. We did a salad sandwich lunch along with an appetizer, the spinach artichoke dip. Everything was tasty. Service was excellent . Can't wait to go back again!!

Service was good. Atmosphere is always good. Sat at a table upstairs for lunch to people watch and headed to the bar downstairs for more fun!

When we visit St. Charles this is always a location that we can count on that will have good food options and good service. I like sitting upstairs because there is a nice view of the street.

Visited old St. Charles and took a walk to Lewis and Clark's (L&C) restaurant. Located on 3 floors L&C offers a great experience for lunch or dinner with reasonable prices. We stopped for lunch and seated quickly. Our server was quick to greet us and take our order and provide the special of the day. It was St. Patrick's Day weekend and was full of patrons enjoying the upcoming celebration. We went with the Reuben and basic cheeseburger and both were very good. We were consistently topped off on beverages. Great service made our meal enjoyable. L&C can accommodate large groups but recommended calling ahead. Parking isn't a challenge and can enjoy a nice stroll window shopping on Main Street. Lewis and Clark's was a great time and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Happy Hour visit and it was enjoyable. They have happy hour from 3-7 pm in the bar area and the beef nachos are tasty and plentiful, loaded with beef , beans and cheese. Spicy potato skins were loaded with shredded chicken which was just spicy enough and plentiful of cheese and enough to share. The bar area is a very comfy environment and the service was great.

One of our favorite restaurants !! My go to is the steamed veggie salad with grilled chicken. The veggies are perfectly steamed, nice crispness to them and hot. The chicken is juicy and flavorful all over a bed of lettuce. All the food is delicious, we"ve never had a bad dish!! The bloody Mary's are not thick and heavy, they are perfectly spiced and tasty!! Our server was so sweet and very attentive. One of the best restaurants in St Charles!!

Two story restaurant that I've always been wanting to try. Open for lunch and dinner, lots of menu options for every diet. Server was super friendly and happy to help. I ordered The Clark for my drink, a standard summer poolside drink, I'd say. Ordered nachos for our appetizer, simple/easy/to the point nachos. Ordered the buff chick wrap with a house salad for my side. Generic and straight forward there too. Classic style decor, classic menu with no frills. Avergae standard American food.

Lewis and Clark's used to be our favorite restaurant years ago but like many things we changed our routine and haven't been back to eat for some time . We got a table on the 3rd floor outside overlooking Mainstreet and had a great dinner! The cajun sandwich with red beans and rice was just as delicious as I remembered! The white bean chicken chili was perfect! I hope to be back more often!

You ever made a sandwich at home with cold cuts and white bread that was pretty decent with a premixed salad kit? You ever done that then paid $15 for it while turning on loud overt christian rock you couldn't turn off? yup then there is the kids menu (pictured)

This restaurant is on Main St. in St. Charles. It was nice to sit outdoors on the balcony. The venue displays a historic feel. The food was good and the service was fine. I had the blacken chicken with salad for lunch and a piece of cheesecake for dessert. We really enjoyed sitting outdoors which made our afternoon taking in some sun. I would return and try something else on the menu.

Had lunch here with mom and daughter. We were seated on the open air porch. Our server was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I had salad and 1/2 club sandwich, mom had salad and soup and my daughter had kids chicken tenders. The kids chicken tenders was a generous portion. Club sandwich was excellent as was the salad. Everything was great. I would return.

Deceptively large restaurant with a nice patio over looking Main Street, the waitress was nice but it took over an hour to get food. The food was decent not the best but the fries were good.

Fish tacos, salad instead of rice. Lettuce seemed bagged and blue cheese dressing not the best. Fish was cooked nice

The truly unfortunate part? We were entertained right up until the musician stopped singing and started communicating. Apparently, the microphone was doing a lot of heavy lifting for his personality. Great voice. Terrible decision to introduce us to the man attached to it. While taking a break from performing, he came onto the deck where I was sitting with my friend and decided that publicly talking down to and humiliating a woman was how he wanted to spend his intermission. The interaction was misogynistic, demeaning, disrespectful, unnecessarily cruel, and an absolutely bizarre amount of hostility to direct toward a woman he doesn't even know. Here is the thing about rape culture: it does not exist only in the most extreme acts. It is also sustained by the everyday normalization of misogyny, humiliation, hostility toward women, and the expectation that women should quietly tolerate degrading behavior and call it a joke. When a grown man feels comfortable publicly belittling a woman and everyone around him is expected to dismiss it as harmless banter, that behavior contributes to the same culture that teaches men their hostility toward women is acceptable and teaches women to simply endure it. Imagine being hired to entertain customers, successfully entertaining them, and then using your break to personally ensure they never come back. That is a level of customer service I almost have to respect for its efficiency. What bothers me almost as much as his behavior is knowing this is someone the establishment chose to hire as entertainment. I came for drinks and live music. I did not realize the entertainment package included a talented singer followed by complimentary misogyny on the patio. Women should be able to sit outside with their friends, have a drink, laugh, and exist in public without a grown man deciding their evening needs an unsolicited serving of humiliation simply because he feels entitled to deliver one. There are plenty of establishments in St. Charles where women can spend their money without being treated like shit by the hired entertainment, so I will happily spend mine somewhere else. And to the musician responsible: great addition to rape culture. Whatever war you are fighting with women, or yourself, I sincerely hope you figure it out someday. But if the only way you can feel tall is by trying to make a woman feel small in front of her friends, you were never standing very high to begin with. Maybe stick to singing. You were considerably more likable when none of us knew your personality. "Do not see Kevin Babb"
