Pancakes. Good not great.
Don R.

Three and a half stars is a pretty solid rating for this place. I had a decent and filling breakfast but it set me back $30 for just me after tip. My pancakes were ok but were missing something. Maybe the griddle needed to be a little hotter or they needed a little more time and they'd have been really good potentially. My server Jerry was very good and the staff all helped each other out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and otherwise comfortable for a strip mall eatery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had some Tex Mex options and lunch as well. Worth stopping in to try if you're in the area.

I don't like writing negative reviews much however I needed to express first impressions of trying breakfast here for the first time. I ordered breakfast to go: smashed avocado Benedict with hash browns and buttermilk pancakes. I am a Benedict afficionado. And when the menu and picture describes fluffy green avocado over a toasted muffin and everything seasoning you expect that. What I received was a non-seasoned, browned avocado sludge over an untoasted muffin slathered with hollandaise leaving what should be a crispy vessel a soggy mess. I can accept a little brown in avocado, they oxidize, it's expected. But to have the whole thing brown is unappealing and unappealing. My recommendation is to monitor this and when someone ordered Benedict to go, put the hollandaise in a separate container and allow your diner to put it on themselves. I was also surprised the pancakes did not come with syrup, in the event I was going elsewhere other than home. I had also ordered the vanilla cold brew which is advertised to have vanilla cold foam. When I asked about it, the servers added more vanilla sweet cream. Milk foam is frothy and sits in top. Putting more sweet cream made this bittingly sweet.

If you're looking for quick and easy breakfast spot, Sunny Street Cafe is it. My wife and I went for breakfast on a Sunday and waited for about 10 minutes for a seat. We ordered our food and received it about 10 minutes later. The food was delicious and filling! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sunny Street Cafe gives old school diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back again soon!

When looking for breakfast places I sometimes forget about Sunny Street but whenever I do go, like yesterday, I always kick myself and remind myself every time of how good it is! Let's start with their homemade muffins which are always fantastic! Yesterday I was torn between an Oreo muffin and the red, white and blue which is the one I ultimately chose! A white chocolate muffin filled with a delicious berry compote! Moist and delicious. I'll go back just for that! My husband and i both opted for omelets yesterday. I opted for the egg white veggie omelet which was loaded with Swiss Cheese! Then there was the fruit! A side of fruit can be hit or miss but this fruit cup was spectacular! I had the best cantaloupe of the season so far! Ho there for breakfast (fantastic pancake options and Mimosas, Bellini"s, Bloody Mary's, Beermosas and more! ), Enjoy delicious smoothies and coffees too! The lunch menu is equally delicious! Full of sandwich and salad choices! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice, simple restaurant with wonderful staff and wonderful food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Strawberry shortcake pancakes

Parking available onsite in the shopping center. We ordered a few things today: hot honey chicken and waffles and the strawberry shortcake pancakes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute older diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hot honey waffles are full of flavor but spicy... syrup cuts the heat somewhat. Thin, bread coated chicken breasts on top. The strawberry shortcake pancakes were delicious with sugar soaked strawberries and whipped cream... would definitely recommend. The strawberry lemonade vodka drink is great! Our server was great and very friendly.

This was a cute little breakfast place. We went on a snowy day where several of the servers had called in. So, service was slow. The hot chocolate was yummy. The birthday pancakes were overwhelmingly sweet. I really enjoyed the breakfast quesadillas. They were filling and well cooked. We will be back.

Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

Great breakfast spot. Our server was friendly and efficient at getting our food to us. We all got what we ordered and it was smiles all around the table. Our son enjoyed the dinosaur shaped pancake saying, "This is the best pancake ever!" The Loaded Hash Brown Breakfast and Cinnamon Pancake were delicious! Our daughter got a simple kids meal of egg, sausage, and biscuit. It was all tasty! We enjoyed sitting in the cute, shaded outdoor area. We would eat here again if we are in the area.

Food is fresh as always. Poor service and waiters often forget to either check up on their tables and bring out orders on time

We told the host that we would be standing on their patio since there was no place to stand inside. After waiting for about a half hour, a new person (I believe the owner) walked out and asked us what we were waiting for. We had been crossed off the list and were just standing around aimlessly for much of the time. We were seated in overflow tables outside, of which there were multiple, and we could have been seated 30 minutes prior. We were told by others in the party that checking in here is often challenging. Off to more info: The interior has a cozy upscale pub feel with sports playing on multiple TVs. There was live music last night with a $5 cover charge, which seems reasonable. The crowd is mostly older and dressed in business casual. I enjoyed the salmon tacos with a side salad. The tacos came with a fresh Sriracha-mayo (or similar) sauce and mango salsa topping. The salad had an avocado ranch dressing. I paired it with a house Pinot Grigio. The server was attentive despite the busy night at this smaller grille. Outdoor seating on the patio has a wind screen with heaters, and we could still hear the music (without being charged a cover fee, bonus). Overall, we would definitely return and just be ready for some errors while checking in.

Took our order and received the food in a very timely manner. The Double Down Burger was fantastic! We split it and the Shrimp Egg Rolls with Crab Rangoon appetizer and a side of fries. So freaking good! Best burger we have had in a long time! Everything on the menu sounds great! We Definitely will be back when we are in town next time. Cute place, on the smaller side but in the summer they have outside seating. They have live music and say to get here early if you want a seat.

Stevie was my server that night and she provided friendly top notch service. I ordered a spicy margarita for my cocktail. I was a little disappointed with the drink. It was very cucumber forward, had a nice heat, but lacked that signature lime flavor and tartness required of a good margarita. The brussel sprouts and cheese grits were a must try for me. The pork chop was the perfect entree to accompany these sides. The brussel sprouts were charred and crispy. The balsamic glaze paired nicely with the charred flavor. The pork chop is served in a very generous portion juicy and tender. The citrus sauce paired nicely with the pork. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. All in all a delightful meal. The portions were generous enough for me to have hearty meal of leftovers the next day. The menu is fairly concise with burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, beer/pork/chicken entrees, and salads. They have something for just about everyone. The appetizer menu offers loaded brussel sprouts with bacon balsamic and feta. This would have been too much to tackle by myself. I plan on bringing my friends next time to share this dish.

Bar service was great, table service was lacking. We started with a few drinks (margaritas) and they were quite good. For an app, we got the wings with firefly sauce, the sauce was really good and the wings were cooked perfect. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Worth a try if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

The devils on horseback appetizer was great but everything even the drinks fell flat. My Cioppino was flavorless, overcooked, and fishy. My guests steak was bland and the plate of oil soggy fries were so unpleasant. I was hopeful for dessert but the bread pudding was thick and covered in caramel sauce. I'm not usually one to harp on service at a restaurant but this was egregious. It took over an hour and a half for food to come out and another 20 minutes for mains. The kitchen staff did look short, but I can't imagine it takes that long to whip up some deviled eggs. Additionally, we were informed half way in that two of the three items we ordered they had somehow ran out of. Mind you this was at 7:30, peak dinner service. For the sake of being nitpicky, we had also only received a singular water refill the entire night. Brutal. Now I would be willing to set all of this aside if the food actually delivered to any degree, but it was all very below par. These deviled eggs were sad. I am confident I could make these better at home, better yet buy them at a grocery store. While the pork shank was massive, the chutney it came cooked in was entirely too salty and dominated what was already a one-note flavor profile. The burger was nothing extraordinary.. definitely more rare than the medium we had asked for. Just an overall dissatisfactory experience to say the least. One of the more memorable meals I've had, but for all the wrong reasons. TLDR: Brutal service, mediocre food

Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark. The short rib risotto was swimming in gravy and under-seasoned, and the potstickers weren't up to their usual standard. They had much less slaw than normal, and the texture felt overcooked and tougher than expected. That said, our server, the margarita, Nightjar Old Fashioned, barbacoa quesadillas, and tempura were all excellent. What surprised me most, was walking into both the tasting room / restaurant entrance and seeing it filled with boxes and inventory. I've never seen that at a CH property before. It made for a poor first impression here, and really took away from the overall experience. It left me wondering why management hasn't found a better way to handle inventory before service or keep it out of guest-facing spaces.
